Hubby to our granddaughter and myself there for Valentine's dinner. The food was amazing. Everything from traditional food to vegetarian options.
Super service, great atmosphere, food was good but was just not as hungry as I thought i was. Super filling
Casa Ramos in Yreka is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever visited. The food is fresh, authentic, and full of flavor — every dish tastes like it was made with care and pride. From the first bite, you can tell this is more than just a restaurant; it’s a place where family recipes and tradition shine through. What really sets Casa Ramos apart, though, is the people. Owner Carlos Rendon and his team go above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome. The service is outstanding — warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. You can tell they care deeply about both the food they serve and the experience their customers have. If you’re in Yreka (or even just passing through), do yourself a favor and stop in. Casa Ramos is the real deal, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
We were in the restaurant for the first time and we are very impressed with the food and great service. The place is clean and inviting. We love every minute of our experience. We will be coming back.
What an amazing meal and party we had in the separate dining room at Casa Ramos Yreka. Everything from the chips and three salsas, guacamole, queso chorizo dip, sangria and margaritas was outstanding. I had the Three Amigo's, which included tender and succulent chile verde, chili colorado and Chili Relleno. We loved that you could choose between whole black, pinto or refried beans and traditional Mexican rice or vegan cilantro rice. They even had burgers for the youngster in our group. I can't wait to go back and try the desserts. A great place for a party where there is something for everyone! We got to try lots of different things and everything was top notch!
We had a real fun party at Casa Ramos and the margarita was yummy, cold and real tasty and the food, fantastic! Service was warm and friendly and timely. A wonderful experience for our entire group! We'll come back!! Thank you!
Fabulous food and friendly atmosphere! Twice we’ve gotten pretty much the whole menu to set out a buffet to feed a hungry crew working at the house! The food is really, really good! Tacos (5 kinds), chimichangas, chili rellenos, flautas, burritos all incredibly good with lots of choices. Had a drink at the bar while waiting - local beer - and enjoyed the jovial folks working and dining. We are very happy this restaurant is here!
We stay in Yreka every year on our way to (and usually from) Joshua Tree every year and were so excited to hear Casa Ramos had moved into what used to be Poor George's.... The food, service, and atmosphere were so exceptional we went there each way! The food was so great I didn't even get photos of it. The house margarita is exceptional (by Seattle standards) & the blackberry margarita is as well with some chamoy on there rim & extra lime juice - thanks for the recommendation Christy! :) We absolutely LOVED the Chicken Enchiladas, Chili Verde Tostada, and Chili Verde Enchilada and will certainly be back next year :)
My first time visiting Casa Ramos was surprisingly pleasant. The colorful fiesta themed walls and adobe furniture made me feel like I was South of the border. Herds of people lined up ready to be seated, while others masticated their meals as fast as they could. When the time was right, I was granted access to the VIP section next to the bar... facing the tv monitor. A soccer game was about to end. I browsed the menu under their Mexican favorites and the Molcajete caught my eye. The wait was long but well worth it. The nacho tray had been well devoured by that time. The hot plate was intriguing to say the least. My plan of attack began by adding the rice onto the chicken-beef stew. It was a good one. The mushroom kingdom definitely produces some tasty treats.
The food was good, but the server didn't come back to check with me to see how things were.
You know, we’ve been fans of Casa Ramos for a long time. Today that ended. We ordered an appetizer of guacamole, which had not been delivered when the server showed up with our order of Camarones Monterey. The shrimp and bacon was yummy, as was the generous cheese. The base under the shrimp was a mess of soggy overcooked onions and a few pieces of soggy bell pepper strips, almost as unappealing as the green runny stuff that they were trying to pass off as guacamole. Don’t know what had been added to it, but whatever it was was not like any avocado or guacamole I’ve ever eaten. We cancelled our planned guacamole appetizer. I’m sorry I didn’t take photos of the plate when it arrived. Deciding to Yelp/google map the meal was an afterthought. Photos are of the residual “guacamole” and the base of the shrimp. 😳
When one orders "taquitos" whether the tortillas are corn or flour (regionally referred to as "flautas") you expect 2, 3 or 4 rolled "tacos" but this came as one full size flour tortilla, rolled like a burrito and fried like a chimichanga. So that was a huge disappointment. My friend ordered the deluxe tostada but it came out presented as the Tostada salad (in a tortilla bowl)
Was upcharged for one item and shorted another item. Ordered food based on server recommendation and knowledge that didnt turn out to be accurate. Paid $33 for 1 small meat burrito, 1 relano, and rice and beans. Disappointing experience all around.
Food was alright, but the service was bad. The staff was constantly yelling to each other across the restaurant. They messed up our order and took a long time to refill the chips. I also noticed they didn't clean the tables between customers
Food was a disappointment considering the cost. Sliced cheese melted on top of the chicken fundito was terrible. The queso with chorizo was tasty, but as an appetizer, it should have set up a better meal experience. Service was lacking, but adequate. Wasn't checked on after food was brought to the table. Will not visit again.
I had worked all day and me and my wife sat down and waited for over 20 min waiting just to get our orders taken for a drink we wanted then we waited for a very long time for our appetizer cheese dip and our meals but took so long we just asked them to put in a go box got it home and the vegetables was undercooked and cold so my wife wanted to run back up and i said i was to tired and my wife called and talked to Kat and she said to bring in the next day So my wife did and she said she would have to talk to a corporate office mean while she was going to let my wife know i spent close to 80.00 and received nothing so we heard nothing and my wife called Kat back and she said there was nothing she could do i bought it i should have eaten it basically So 80.00 for cheese dip and we took one bite of the food and two drinks i will never go back there and i hope they learn an change there non customer policies I will be letting my friends and the people i work with not to eat there and spend there money with this establishment When you drive by just throw your money out in front of there resturant the food sucked and the service sucked even more and i gave a tip as well shame on me Not many resturants in this town we come here to work and spend our money in this community and this is how you get treated sham sham
Exited the interstate, place looked festive, menu was overpriced, but I attributed that to being in a small town. Ordered chicken burrito, received beef. Everything had an off flavor, left without eating, they took the burrito off the bill. My wife had a margarita that she said was good and strong. Our kids didn't eat their meals, got them to-go, left them in the parking lot. Skip this town. Keep driving.
