Stunning location, friendly atmosphere great service and the food was exceptional. Definitely worth trying, the best meal we had all week & we had some great meals out but this place stood out & will be going again before returning home.

Wow, where to start. Are yes the staff, really friendly and polite staff and very attentive. Not pushy in the slightest. So you can have your meal in peace. The food, all I can say is excellent, we had a simple starter of bread with dips, still really nice. And then the main event, we went for the rib combo, which consists of a large rack of bbq ribs, 4 chilli coated chicken wings, skin on chips a nice big steak, corn on the cob wheels with coleslaw and half a grilled tomato. Me and wife didn't finish it, but we gave it a good go (I did finish all the wings). She found them just a bit too spicy. But the ribs, they just fell off the bones, so succulent and tender with a nice coating of bbq sauce, get a stack of napkins you'll need them. The steak was cooked to how the wife likes it (medium), so no argument, still an excellent steak, finished all of that. The kids had kids' meals, spaghetti bolognese, and burger and chips, both of which they really enjoyed. I didn't have a desert, but the wife and kids did, and they all enjoyed it. I can not remember what they had, I was having meat sweats. Now for the price, so for 2 adults and 2 kids, 2 drinks each (juice for the kids 2 white wines and 2 cans of guinness). 95 euros about £83. To be honest, I don't think is bad . So yes we plan to go back before we go home and try something else. Thanks to all at the olive tree, it was a really good night.

Wow wow wow . I have waited 20 years for a thai curry like l had tonight in The Olive Garden Mojàcar.. truly delicious. And also the prawn pill pill we had for a starter was the best in Mojàcar. Sunday menu was a winner, pork belly/cracking and accompanying sides were perfect. It was pleasing to have all sauces on the table before the food. Great value and will return.

What an amazing restaurant the Olive Tree is, we have followed their journey on 'new place in the sun' recently and have to say all of their hard work has certainly payed off. From the moment you walk through the door you are made so welcome. We had 6 lovely Tapas served on a platter for 20 euros, and we could not believe the quality on offer for the price and I did mention this and the reply was , we can because we Cook everything fresh to order. This restaurant is now firmly on our radar and will be frequently visiting in the future. You are sat in a beautiful restaurant, with stunning views of the Mediterranean, served by wonderful polite staff, serving quality food & drinks at very reasonable prices. Thank you all for yesterday it was a lovely experience.

Now open at 3pm. Today they opened at 3pm. 23rd May 2024. We were going on to another venue so this timing was great for us. All I can say is WOW..The meals was fantastic, the Waiter Christopher was attentive and friendly. We tried to speak Spanish but his English was excellent. Yes we did have to wait as it obviously was not microwave food, but the wait was more than worth it. Excellent fresh food, one of the best meals we have had here for many years.10 out of 10 thank you will will be back.

We dined in this lovely restaurant two nights out of the three nights in Mojacar. We were a party of four and we had two lovely evenings here. The staff were so efficient and welcoming and the ambience and decor in this restaurant is really nice. We had the set menu and everyone was very happy with these tasty dishes. The house wine was also very good. If I was coming back here I would certainly dine here.

As always, a lovely dinner at the Olive Tree. Staff were super attentive and the food was amazing. Love the ambience of this place. Imagine boutique, fun and individual. If this doesn't make sense, then you have to visit so that it does! Great for couples and groups. Would totally recommend!

I cannot praise the service we received at this restaurant enough. Owners, Jeanette and Alan and all the staff are absolutely wonderful, very courteous and friendly. The food is outstanding. Portion sizes are very generous. Thoroughly recommend the paella. And thoroughly recommend this fantastic establishment.

The owner and staff are so professional and attentive, dirty plates and empty bottles taken immediately. The food was delicious and the sea view was awesome. A real treat, their home made cheesecake was the best I've eaten in ages.

We’ve been coming to Mojacar for years but the first time visiting The Olive Tree as it’s only their second Summer. However, we’ll be returning every time we visit as this is a fantastic restaurant, with amazing staff and beautiful views over Mojacar Playa. Jeanette is a perfect host, taking time out to speak to all the diners to make sure they are enjoying their evening. The menu has a great selection for all tastes and is all done to perfection. We’ve had a few meals there and every one was delicious. As above, the staff, especially Christofer and Clair are attentive and passionate about the food and wine. We’ll definitely be returning on our next stay in Mojacar

Had an amazing meal at the olive tree last night with my family ( 8 people ) . Service and food were top notch . So many restaurants in this area but only a handful are able to produce quality "made from scratch" food , in my opinion . Have eaten in many restaurants in the area and the Olive tree is THE BEST by a country mile . If you are staying in Mojacar, you MUST eat here . I promise you won't be disappointed . Hosts are lovely and down to earth people who know how to make you feel welcome . See you next time !

What a brilliant restaurant! The service was outstanding, from the table waiting on to the chef walking the floor. The food, wow, very tasteful and copious amounts (and I am a big eater). We visited with a party of 10, and everyone walked away very happy. A must visit for your holiday!!! A very cool vibrant atmosphere.

Visited the olive tree after watching the programme a new life in the sun and as a fellow Bristolian we thought we’d give it a try. We were not disappointed, the food the service and the decor was outstanding. Food was not rushed either so we could enjoy a drink looking out to sea beforehand. They didn’t have my first chosen starter but that didn’t matter as what I did have was equally as good. I hope to go back to mojacar next year and I would be coming back to the olive tree. My wife and I are half way through our two week holiday and we wanted to try out some more authentic fare than the quite ‘Brit Abroad’ food choices we had opted for up until now. Couple of online reviews and a little mosey down the Playa and we chose The Olive Tree. We are delighted that we did, because it turned out to be an excellent experience. The place itself is lovely. Very tasteful decor throughout. Cozy yet spacious and light with a spectacular view over the Mojácar Playa’s beautiful ocean. The waiter that greeted us was very genuine, friendly and helpful. We already had a good idea what we were going to order but we perused the extensive and interesting menu anyway. I ordered the, great value, set 3 courses. You choose one each from several starters, mains and desserts. I chose a breaded deep fried brie as my starter, sea bream as my main and a sticky toffee sundae as my dessert. (More on that later). I also ordered a basket of ‘Rustic Fries’ because I always run out of potato, no matter what I order or where. My wife had a calamari starter, seafood tagliatelle as her main and a cheesecake as her dessert. The food was amazing! Fresh, well prepared and absolutely delicious. Wifey’s tagliatelle looked stunning! Presentation was extremely good with all the dishes looking colourful, vibrant and appetising. The rustic fries were out of this world. The waiter was attentive but not too obtrusive. There when you needed him but not hovering. A lovely lady, possibly the owner, came over after our meal, offered drinks and asked us if everything had been ok. Everything had been more than ok, it was top drawer. Great value and great quality. The rest rooms are incredible here. Oh yeah, the sticky toffee pudding……..OMG!!! 😳 The look on my wife’s face when my dessert was placed in front of me. I considered swapping with her cheesecake……but no. Mine! So so SO DELICIOUS! I won’t put a description here because I don’t think my phone’s insurance covers short circuit caused by the owner’s drool. You’ll just have to go there and get one for yourself. Thank you waiters, chefs and all involved! Ps: I’m the guy with the green t-shirt and black bandana that shared a joke about our eyesight. I want at least a free coffee for this review.

Met up with friends here at Olive Tree Bistro, whom we haven't seen for years. The staff could not have been more welcoming, a special shout out to Nick who was our personal photographer. We visited last night, wet and windy, thetes a less good start... However that was the opposite here, warm friendky welcome and location. Parking atthis timeof year effortless on both sides of the road. Finally got a table in here on our last night. What a gorgeous little place, bagged a table right in the middle overlooking that fantastic sea. Service was very good, decor very relaxing and classy and the tables not too nesr to one another. And the food -what can I say it was fresh and delicious, we had the crispy singapore pork and salmon Presented very well and generous portions. A very nice end to our break. I hope they're open when we return in February.

Had an amazing time last weekend. We ordered from the 2 course chefs menu special which was a choice of meat or fish starter / main. We throughly enjoyed it. Great value for money with a drink included and the amount of food served we struggled to order a dessert. Hospitality was wonderful. Drinks area in the front of the restaurant is a great addition which means you can arrive earlier than your booking and enjoy a drink ahead of your sitting. I highly recommend this establishment and it is actually on the local bus route to. See you guys soon..

This was our second trip to the restaurant and we tried the menu del dia at €19.95. I had a generous glass of wine accompanied with a delicious prawn and avocado starter then Sea bream with some good seasonal veg. Our son enjoyed burger and chips whilst my husband tried the pork. Good value nicely presented food, beautiful sea view, great interior design and friendly staff, what more could you want? Well done Olive Tree team!

What a hidden gem in Mojácar! We had the best fish and chips today. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with such a warm welcome and the waitress couldn’t have been more helpful. The fish was cooked in a lovely light batter, the homemade chips were just perfect, and we got all the proper trimmings – even the traditional bread and butter. Great food, great service – we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

I love a well done steak but when this monster fillet arrived I feared the worst, however.... It was - simply - the best steak EVER! Cooked to perfection. Great service, so although we visited from Alicante, I can say, without a doubt... We'll be back!!!

Lovely restaurant with the most welcoming owners. It was fairly quiet as early in the season but that didn't take away from the experience. Paella is amazing, full of flavour and so much seafood - prawns, mussels and clams throughout. The portion for one would have easily fed two. Fillet steak to cook yourself on hot stones was mostly lovely, two of the steaks were beautiful but one was a bit fattier than expected for fillet. The boy still polished off nearly all of it. Will hope to get back for another visit to try other dishes. Thoroughly recommended. Super value for money. Thanks so much

Saw this place on UK TV and decided to try it and weren't disappointed, the friendliness of the staff, the service and the quality of the food all excellent and reasonably priced, we didn't manage to get back for a second visit during our short stay but we are back later in the year and cant wait to try it.

We visited the Olive Tree with friends for lunch. This new eatery in Mojacar shines out amongst a host of good restaurants. The decor is fresh, appealing & very fitting. The outside area is inviting & set out in a relaxed & informal manner. The beach backdrop is lovely, with waves crashing onto a sandy beach. The owners & staff were friendly & very efficient & attentive. The menu is comprehensive & had a good selection of Mediterranean quisine. When the various choices arrived at our table (all four of us had made different choices), we all looked at each others dishes & we could each have chosen the others'. They all looked well presented, mouth watering & freshly made. Each one did not disappoint. The care taken in the freshness of the produce, along with the preparation & and presentation, was obvious. If you're in Mojacar & looking for somewhere that takes a good deal of pride & care, this is the place to go to.

All ladies really lovely and lovely service, place is gorgeous inside and toilets are well looked after! I had the garlic prawns to start and was even accommodated with some gluten free bread on the side which was a nice thought when the lady told me it could be done. Portions were a good size. My main was a Caesar salad which again was absolutely lush even had gluten free croutons as well which was thoughtful to add. Definitely reccomend- would come back again 💖

We absolutely love coming to eat here, the welcome is wonderful, peaceful atmosphere, chilled out, not rushed, delicious cocktails and great service. Myself and friends visited for lunch to celebrate two Birthdays. We were made very welcome from the initial greeting and throughout the meal, nothing was too much trouble for Nick. The decor was lovely, very quirky and different! The selection of food available was great...it was difficult to choose. When the food arrived at the table, it was beautifully presented and tasted even better! This is our first visit, and it will definitely not be our last. Put this on your list of places to visit in Mojacar.

We tried the Olive Tree for the first time and wow, totally impressed. The food was fresh, great quality and each dish tasted fabulous. All cooked from scratch and with great passion. Jeanette the owner spent time with us after our main meal, answering some of our questions. The main thing for me is that the restaurant is 95% gluten free meaning I can enjoy most of their dishes. We highly recommend the Olive Tree, you won't be disappointed.

First time to this new venue and such a wonderful welcome and ambience. Relaxing seating area for dining and soft music in the background. Generous portion size on our meal choice this evening. We really enjoyed our evening. We highly recommend this restaurant.

First time visiting The Olive Tree… WOW it did not disappoint. The Waitress was so kind and welcoming, she really added a personal touch to the service! Nothing was too much trouble! We went for the Calamari & Muscles to start and it was sublime! Once we saw our starters we knew we were in for an incredible meal. For mains we had the Beef Ribs, it was beautiful, the meat fell off the bone, with homemade chips & coleslaw, this was just amazing! We also had the Seafood Linguine which can only be described aa incredible! The prawns were to die for, amazing portion sizes! We will most certainly be back! What a meal!!

This cute, little bistro deserves more than 5 Stars. What a gem of a find. We were strolling along looking for a nice place to have our evening meal and came across the Olive Tree Bistro. From the moment we walked in, to the moment we walked out (over two hours later), the experience was fantastic. The warm welcome from the owner was good and made us feel relaxed, even being told that there was a wait for the freshly cooked food was fine as we soaked up the atmosphere. The other lady (sorry, I should have asked for names) doing the waiting was very good, kind and attentive. Now for the food... We ordered some bread, olives and dips to put us on while we waited for the main event. The homemade dips were very nice. The mains... Wendy & I had the meat-sharing platter - gorgeous. My sister had the sea bass and she is still going on this morning about how it's the best sea bass she's had. Our granddaughter had the burger, cooked just the way she likes them. Wendy and I had the cheesecake and that was so nice too... A few drinks, some water and some coffee's and we were all very happy customers. The burning question... would we go back again??? YES... and well be doing that later in the week.

My wife found this restaurant on the Internet and based on the reviews booked us a table for Easter Sunday lunch. She had mussels for starters followed by roast lamb. I had chorizo and meat meatballs followed by beef tagine. The food was absolutely delicious. They said at the start that they were short of red wine choices on the day but what was on offer was great. Fabulous food and most definitely fresh and beautifully cooked. Very friendly and attentive staff. We live an hour away inland. It's well worth the drive for such a lovely place to eat by the sea. I'd also like to say lovely clean lavatory too!

This place was recommended to us by family who visit all the time, and it did not disappoint. All the staff were so friendly, attentive and really went all the way to make sure our evening was special. We started with a jug of home made sangria, and had the tapas board to share. The food was great, a great variety on the board. Plenty to nibble away at, while enjoying the sangria and the spectacular views of the sea. Thank you all for a wonderful evening

Amazing service! I had the nicest salmon and mojitos there today. The decor is gorgeous too, it really elevated the whole experience (not that it needed it because the food was so incredible)! 100% recommend eating here for lunch, but make sure to respect the siesta time- (we didn’t know). Such a big thanks to the lovely team today that worked so hard on our big family dinner. The owner and the lovely waiter from Sheffield were super helpful and catered to my dietary needs.

Food is one of the best in the area that we found we have been to a few restaurants in Mojacar and we do go to Garrucha quite a lot but this was the best place for everyone that we have found, we had a vegetarian, we had people that don’t eat fish and we have people that just like meat. The hostess was fantastic. The waitress was attentive and the chef is very good at his job and a very nice person to speak to. I had the Moroccan tagine and it was the best I have had by far not just in Spain but elsewhere seafood is fresh hamburgers home-made, chips home-made just the way it should be. Can’t wait to go back won’t be long thanks guys for a very nice meal on our last night. See you again in a month or two. The view is also banging

Wow what a find. Decided to try here as Jeanette and Alan have been very generous when I've had a stall at Badgers for Paws. So pleased we tried, will now be somewhere to go. Waitress Gemma was really friendly and attentive, and had a personality which is always good. The food was gorgeous, starters, sharing platter and desert, plates went back empty. Keith tried a new wine, I've forgotten name, but think Ferrari, very similar lol. It was really good. Thank you all for looking after us so well.

Das Ambiente ist wirklich toll. Hier hat sich jemand echt Mühe gegeben. Chris unsere Bedienung ist wirklich sehr bemüht und freundlich. Selten sind wir in Spanien so zuvorkommend bedient worden. Das Essen war sehr gut (siehe Bilder) und wir kommen definitiv gerne wieder. Zum Abschluss noch einen Cappuccino oder wie man in Spanien sagt .... un cafe con leche 😃 der Preis für einen Urlaubsort ist denke ich bei der Qualität angemessen.

Fantastic meal at The Olive Tree. The paella was the best we've ever had, so full of seafood you couldn't see the rice. The ambience and beautiful views, together with really friendly and helpful service, especially from Christopher, made for an exceptional evening. The most wonderful evening. Although the ladies were busy with a full restaurant, they accommodated us wonderfully. We sat to a drink in the bar area, then had the most delicious sangria and paella on the strip. The chef even came out to check how much we enjoyed our first ever paella. The atmosphere is so classy here, the service is homely, and the food is delicious. We can’t wait to return!

Absolutely loved our time here, the one thing that stands out is the outstanding service, so friendly and smiley, willing to have a nice chat. The portions are incredibly generous, especially the ribs (massive!). Lovely calm atmosphere with quiet music.

Ein wunderschönes Restaurant. Liebevoll eingerichtet. Herausragend charmanter Service. Unglaublich leckeres Essen. Die Gambas als Vorspeise waren vermutlich die Besten, die ich je gegessen habe. Auch das Hauptgericht war unglaublich lecker. Die Hausweine, rot und weiß, waren einfach lecker. Sehr fruchtiger Wein mit wenig Säure. Einfach nur gut! Insgesamt ein tolles Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Wir kommen wieder!

We went for the Calamari & Muscles to start and it was sublime! Once we saw our starters we knew we were in for an incredible meal. For mains we had the Beef Ribs, it was beautiful, the meat fell off the bone, with homemade chips & coleslaw, this was just amazing! We also had the Seafood Linguine which can only be described aa incredible! The prawns were to die for, amazing portion sizes! We will most certainly be back! What a meal!!

First time to this new venue and such a wonderful welcome and ambience. Relaxing seating area for dining and soft music in the background. Generous portion size on our meal choice this evening. We really enjoyed our evening. We highly recommend this restaurant.

This cute, little bistro deserves more than 5 Stars. What a gem of a find. We were strolling along looking for a nice place to have our evening meal and came across the Olive Tree Bistro. From the moment we walked in, to the moment we walked out (over two hours later), the experience was fantastic. The warm welcome from the owner was good and made us feel relaxed, even being told that there was a wait for the freshly cooked food was fine as we soaked up the atmosphere. The other lady (sorry, I should have asked for names) doing the waiting was very good, kind and attentive. Now for the food... We ordered some bread, olives and dips to put us on while we waited for the main event. The homemade dips were very nice. The mains... Wendy & I had the meat-sharing platter - gorgeous. My sister had the sea bass and she is still going on this morning about how it's the best sea bass she's had. Our granddaughter had the burger, cooked just the way she likes them. Wendy and I had the cheesecake and that was so nice too... A few drinks, some water and some coffee's and we were all very happy customers. The burning question... would we go back again??? YES... and well be doing that later in the week.

My wife found this restaurant on the Internet and based on the reviews booked us a table for Easter Sunday lunch. She had mussels for starters followed by roast lamb. I had chorizo and meat meatballs followed by beef tagine. The food was absolutely delicious. They said at the start that they were short of red wine choices on the day but what was on offer was great. Fabulous food and most definitely fresh and beautifully cooked. Very friendly and attentive staff. We live an hour away inland. It's well worth the drive for such a lovely place to eat by the sea. I'd also like to say lovely clean lavatory too!

This place was recommended to us by family who visit all the time, and it did not disappoint. All the staff were so friendly, attentive and really went all the way to make sure our evening was special. We started with a jug of home made sangria, and had the tapas board to share. The food was great, a great variety on the board. Plenty to nibble away at, while enjoying the sangria and the spectacular views of the sea. Thank you all for a wonderful evening

Absolutely loved our time here, the one thing that stands out is the outstanding service, so friendly and smiley, willing to have a nice chat. The portions are incredibly generous, especially the ribs (massive!). Lovely calm atmosphere with quiet music.

Amazing service! I had the nicest salmon and mojitos there today. The decor is gorgeous too, it really elevated the whole experience (not that it needed it because the food was so incredible)! 100% recommend eating here for lunch, but make sure to respect the siesta time- (we didn’t know). Such a big thanks to the lovely team today that worked so hard on our big family dinner. The owner and the lovely waiter from Sheffield were super helpful and catered to my dietary needs.

Wow what a find. Decided to try here as Jeanette and Alan have been very generous when I've had a stall at Badgers for Paws. So pleased we tried, will now be somewhere to go. Waitress Gemma was really friendly and attentive, and had a personality which is always good. The food was gorgeous, starters, sharing platter and desert, plates went back empty. Keith tried a new wine, I've forgotten name, but think Ferrari, very similar lol. It was really good. Thank you all for looking after us so well.

What a hidden gem in Mojácar! We had the best fish and chips today. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with such a warm welcome and the waitress couldn’t have been more helpful. The fish was cooked in a lovely light batter, the homemade chips were just perfect, and we got all the proper trimmings – even the traditional bread and butter. Great food, great service – we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

We had a delicious meal in The Olive Tree. We were so well looked after by Christopher. He helped to make our evening very enjoyable! Sadly the hostess was very rude to her staff in our presence. Apart from this we had a lovely evening.

Visited Olive Tree and was very impressed with what been done to the place. Excellent decor, beautiful views and friendly, courteous staff. The food was not the usual ‘Mojacar menu’ and was freshly cooked and well presented. The tapas starter was a great idea! I hope this restaurant prospers - it’s different and worthy of success!

Really enjoyed the lunch, the ambience, views, excellent service, and watching the kitchen at work. Thai fishcake, Pork & chorizo albondigas, Dorada filet, Thai veg curry, profiteroles - all very good.

Was really looking forward to eating at this establishment, reviews were great . Not sure if it’s just the summer business and standards fall . The good …lovely welcoming staff and a well made mojito … The bad …1 . Inconsistent staff , not awful , but not that good . 2. Starters were okay , but not outstanding, maybe we are foodies and our expectations are high 3. Fish dish was excellent, but the summer vegetables were beans only , whereas my pork had loads of different veggies . My pork was over cooked by a bit , making it dry and not special , the veg was great . 4. The panacotta was grainy , and not very nice . For just over €60 we were left underwhelmed … I did say to a staff member about the dessert , but she just took my money and that was it . I hate complaining, especially with a party on the next table .. we eat out a lot and for similar money there is much better service and food …. Totally disappointed…

Firstly the positives-lovely staff, very rustic if a little cluttered. Obviously a.lot of thought & €€€€s have been committed. Negatives- Too hot even with windows open. Too long waiting for first (& only course). Not Value for money (pensioners). So called excellent wine certainly wasn't & outrageosly over priced. I left most of mine as gave instant dyspepsia. Ribs stringy. Chips really poor. Actually we live here and like trying new places. Would never use again so merely smiled, paid & left.

-The food was of poor quality, and the service was even worse. The owner showed no interest in addressing any issues, displaying arrogance and rudeness. The steak was overcooked and tasteless, accompanied by a limp, bagged salad. The burger was served on soggy bread with an unidentifiable sauce, and the homemade chips were undercooked and greasy.
