The food was great and the service was excellent . The waitress was very nice and served us well. It was my first visit and I give them 5 stars . The prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was enjoyable .

Always a great lunch. It’s a regular meeting spot for friends and has never fallen short of excellence. The sweet host staff, amazing servers, fantastic food, attentive managers, chips/dip, detailed bussers, clean restrooms. Not a stone left unturned!

My family and I have frequented this establishment since way back when they were called Cada Ole'. The wait staff are the friendliest and have been like an extended family to us for the longest time. The food has always been excellent. The seating is far better than most Tyler restaurants where they pack you in like sardines and they can accomodate both large and small groups. The price range to portion size is more than adequate. They will receive my patronage as long as they are in business.

I don't remember her name unfortunately but the waitress that doesn't use a notepad to write down orders and just uses her mind, she's amazing!! Excellent service and very nice. :)

One of my favorite hometown restaurants. The lady who delivers the chips and salsa is so incredibly sweet every time we come here. Her kindness shows, even with a language barrier. The manager is attentive and makes sure we are taken care of and the servers are fantastic. I want for nothing when I eat here.

I went here a few weeks ago. And had the most amazing waitress. Ill never forget her kindness. Usually they don't stay to chat but she made she that I felt more than welcomed. And the food was fresh and was really good. I always get the same thing when I go there The Dinner Laredo. And I love that it still taste just the way I remember as a child. Thank yall for always being consistent. I've never once had a bad experience here. And is my go to.

The food here is delicious. I had enough food to bring home a few leftovers. The unlimited chips and salsa is a nice touch (although sadly for me, the salsa isn't spicy). The drinks are very good, although the one I had seemed a bit weak to us on the alcohol content. Overall this is a good restaurant and I would come back here again.

We went in for food and drinks everything was amazing. 2 days later we realized we misplaced our CC and the service staff went above and beyond to help find it. Victoria aka jr. was very helpful and responsive to our needs for something that has nothing to do with food service.

My wife and I went out this Friday for the first time since having our first kid. Leaving him alone with anyone that wasn't one of us was terrifying, but we were determined to enjoy ourselves. As avid gardeners we took note of the many healthy plants adorning their quaint walls adding a wonderful atmosphere. Every section feels private enough for conversation and open enough for easy egress. I cannot compliment this location enough We arrived late on a Friday night only a couple hours before close to find we were among a few small groups in the whole restaurant adding a very private and cozy feel to our night Julie our server was attentive quick and polite. I really enjoyed her service and told her as much to which she humbly replied we were her only table and made it easy on her. We had a wonderful night and successful first date. Thank you Julie we will see you next time

We love DBs! We eat here at least once a week. We typically get Summer as our waitress and she is the absolute best! She has to be one of the best servers in Tyler. She is always on top of her game!

This was my first time coming here. Walked in during lunch and was greeted and sat down immediately. Ordered my food and he came out quick, hot, and delicious. I ordered the Lunch Special #2, two tamales with chili sauce, rice & beans. The server was very nice and the atmosphere was great. Couldn’t have asked for a better lunch.

I eat at Don Benito's often. Today I ate lunch with a friend. Portions were generous, service was perfect, and food tasted delicious. My absolute favorite thing on the menu is the Stuffed Avocados! I get the combination, 1 beef and 1 chicken, because I can't decide which one tastes better. The chips and salsa are pretty good too.

Don Benitos is our favorite place to go for Mexican food. They serve delicious food. We have never been disappointed. All the food is very good and always hot. We are a regular every week and look forward to seeing our friendly waiter, Gabriel. He makes our visit very enjoyable. He is kind, professional and he always has a smile for us. We look forward to our visit. Gabe is knowledgeable and never forgets us. And he is that way with everyone. We would LOVE to have another Don Benitos open in South Tyler….especially the Gresham area. My husband and I would probably be there several times a week.

Haven't been back since I was a kid was worried because of the name change but glad to see it still basically Casa Ole.

Generally, I can tell how good the food will be, by the taste of their salsa. We were not disappointed. This was the second visit, and I can honestly say, this is some of the best, tex mex in town.

Went there tonight after a year or so away and I am hurt! I mean I'm so full, the food was as good as it's always been. Stayed away for years because of the price hikes. Service is great and if there is such a thing as too fast, this is it. Ordered the Ambassador dinner and second plate came out before I finished the first plate. If they had better margaritas, this would be my forever spot. Let's Get It.

My best friends had a Christmas party there last night. The food was delicious! Our waitress was awesome! There were 27 of us! Also the assistant manager Little Vicki was so friendly! The experience was the best!

Had lunch here yesterday & expected the food to taste the same as usual, good. I was surprised to find everything tasted better than normal. Don Benitos has always been good but today it was great. I was told they are buying fresher & higher quality product & it shows, Great Job! I'll return more often now that the food is even better than before.

My best friend and I went during a spontaneous road trip. We ordered the shrimp and steak fajitas and they were delicious….full of FLAVOR and a pretty big portion, that we split one order. The salsa and green sauce was amazing too. Of course, the house margaritas were great as well. We definitely give this a 10/10.

It is very clean all inside the restaurant. The decorations were amazing, we really loved it. The chips and salsa had this unique flavor I never had anywhere else before, I truly loved it. Had a fantastic dinner at Don Benitos! We went with the sampler platter, which was the perfect choice. It offered plenty of delicious food, giving us a great taste of everything. The house margaritas were excellent and complemented the meal perfectly. I have to give a special shout-out to the dips – the white queso was rich and tasty, and both the green and red salsas were fresh and packed with flavor. The service was great and the atmosphere was welcoming. We'll absolutely be back for more!

I've lived in the Tyler area nearly nineteen years now and for some reason had never tried Don Benito's. I corrected that error yesterday. The service, the food, and the atmosphere were all very good. I had the Business Lunch Fajitas and the value of that plate is fantastic, especially in today's economy. I plan to go back to Don Benito's and I recommend it to anyone wanting good Mexican food at affordable prices.

We had a really nice waitress! Just like everyone else looks like short staffed! So be patient and don't make a scene like some lady did to her server and ours. As for food.....it was great as always but wasn't hot. It was lukewarm but still good! People please remember to be patient with your servers and anyone in the service industry!!!!

Super good service, good food. Great place for a weekday lunch! The food is pretty much standard Tex- Mex, but our friendly, efficient server made it a really nice experience. Helpful, friendly, and kept our beverages full (and to-go cups without our asking) made us happy with our lunch time choice.

Food is really good, service is great, people are very friendly. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is the parking lot! As a senior citizen with wheelchair family members the handicap parking area is poorly marked and unknowing patrons will park in the loading and unloading areas. This prevents access to wheelchairs. I have brought this to management attention for nearly a year and they still haven't addressed the issue.

I came with a party of 7 with a reservation on a Sunday. It took about 35-40 minutes for our food to come out, so we were all a bit tired and hungry by the time the food came out. My sour cream chicken enchiladas were cold and my order was slightly wrong, but honestly they were the best chicken enchiladas I've had in Tyler, so no complaints from me. I would recommend giving them a shot.

The place has a fun atmosphere and the staff was great and the service was quick. We got the fajitas for 2 and the meat portions were a bit smaller than other places. The rice, beans, and fixings plates were good portions. The flavor was okay... Not bad but not outstanding.

This was my first time to this establishment and I was not disappointed. The chips and salsa were good. The green sauce was fantastic! I got the Grande meal which, as the name implies, is a whole lot of food! Everything tasted great and the service was on point. Our server, Madison, was very friendly and very attentive. Although not my favorite Mexican food restaurant, I will definitely go back.

Priced out this customer by raising prices extremely too much. Cheese nachos over $11. No senior drink at discount now but still give 10% senior discount. Food just okay but service usually good. Better places to eat.

I ate lunch there before, but my husband wanted to try their dinner menu. We went on a busy Friday evening, but were seated right away. I really enjoyed their three enchilada dinner, it was delicious 😋. Our waiter was very attentive and quick, and our food came quickly too! My only complaint was the noise level. They have wooden seating chairs that scrape real loudly on the concrete floors.

Service was 5 stars! The rice is very flavorful, it isn't boxed rice. Queso and the guacamole sauce was delicious! Of course the margaritas was top notch, I could've drank a ton more of those. The taco dinner was hot and very tasty. Loved the flavor of the taco meat. Husband had the platter. The enchilada would've been better with the queso on it and the quesadillas could've been better. All in all great date night and will go back. I'm ready for another margaritas and some nachos.

Food was GREAT service was iffy we had 4 families with 2 to 3 people each family. About 10 people but server got overwhelmed due to her having other tables. Some Food came out cold. They fixed it! And we waited to pay longer than we wanted bit overall it was okay.

Our server Megan was awesome, friendly and very helpful to our request which we would go back for that. Food was ok, would of like the fajitas to be fire grilled which I thought they would be. Overall, a good place to eat.

Came here with some work peeps. The hostess was not welcoming. Place was not busy by any means. The waitress was trying to rush through our ordering, eating, heck a couple of us were still eating when she came by and asked if we wanted to go drinks. We all looked at each other and said, no, thank you. Then she walked away and came.back 2 minutes later and asked if we needed anything else and we all stated no, but thank you. When leaving the hostess is giving us a dirty look. We were not rude, we didnt hog up the table, like I said the restaurant was not busy at all. Just wanted to take my staff members out to dinner. No a very pleasant experience. Most likely will not come back again.

I felt the service was good but the food wasn't. The chips were good the salsa verde was not. They remade the red salsa for us and it was better. The meals themselves lacked flavor. Also I like their idea of a wall were you can draw on it with crayons. But at the same time was a little tacky.

The food and service were great. The problem we had was trying to pay. There was something going on with their machines and they wouldn't take Regions cards. I had taken my sister for lunch and she's special needs, because it would not accept our regions card the manager wanted me to leave my sister there and run to an ATM and bring the money back and I was like I'm sorry but that's not an option. And this was all through the server by the way, the manager wasn't coming out to talk to us. When I told our server that I couldn't leave her he said he would speak to the manager again. While we were waiting I called my husband, he has a card with a different bank for emergencies and I made sure I could use that card before just trying it. It took 15 minutes for the manager to come over and when I said I have one more card I can try she rolled her eyes and watched as the server tried it. Thankfully it worked but the manager rolled her eyes again, huffed and walked off. Not a word said to u. No sorry for the inconvenience, nothing. Acted like we had done this in purpose to try and get a free meal... At least that's how I felt. We will not be returning despite the food and good servers.

Second time eating here. Waitress didn’t have a smile or a good attitude. Food is bland, and came out within minutes after ordering. My husband is super laid back and never complains but he wasn’t happy with the experience either. We asked for ketchup twice never got it. The very sweet hostess got some for her when I went to ask. Waitress just seemed irritated by everything. Oh, no lemonade either which is weird to me.

Wow....first time (and last) to eat here. Two tacos with~ $0.50 worth of beans and less that of rice was $14.17.......TWO tacos.......ridulous to charge that much for very little.....

First and last time eating here sadly. Advertised sizzling fajitas and when I got my food 5 minutes after ordering I knew it was too quick. My veggies were raw not sautéed. And they had the nerve to have it listed for $24 I immediately left and came to on the border who had amazing actual sizzling fajitas

Our waitress was pretty awkward but that's not why I give this restaurant a low rating. When me and my girlfriend got our food, it was not what the menu made it out to be. We were lacking a lot of items the menu said would be included, and our meals were put together very sloppily. Food was not worth the price listed and neither was the quality of the experience.

Cold food reminiscent of slop. Poblano pepper so tough could not cut it, dried rice and watery beans. Lacking their usual flavor. Cheese covered to extreme.

I know this has been open a while but just discovered they reopened casa ole under this new name. Im sure some people like it, just like they used to like casa ole. Food isnt for me. The waiter claims this place has the best queso in town, so I ordered a bowl. He was really trying to push it. I would give that about a 7/10. Definitely not the best in town, but opinions will vary im sure. I make almost the same queso with a small can of green chili's and some Velveeta. My kids woth agreed. The red hot sauce i would rate 4/10. The green maybe a 6/10. The red is real tomato-ey tasting. My daughter and I both ate the tacos al carbon to get a handle on what kind of fajita steak they were serving. Most places serve these like rolled soft tacos. Here they make them like flour tortillas enchiladas, and smother them in that 7/10 queso. The guy said they come with queso on the top, and I assumed he meant they put queso on the tacos. Im sure most Texicans from tyler would agree a "taco" is something you can pick up and eat. This is more like a burrito or enchilada, regardless of the traditional definition of a "taco". So there was that. The quality of the steak was fair but definitely not the best I've ever had. I'd compare it to John Soules brand. 6/10. I would rate the Mexican rice up there with the very worst in town. One bite is all I could stand. It was hard and crunchy in places like it wasnt cooked correctly and flavor really wasnt too good either. The refried beans had a good texture but lacked a good flavor and were sort of bland like they needed some salt or spices. 1/10 on the rice, and 4/10 on the beans. In any case this place is getting 2 stars. Wish I could do better but not really happy with my food, and my kids agreed. The waiter should not be putting himself out there like that, trying to push that queso. "Best in town" is a huge statement since half the restaurants in town are Mexican cuisine.

I've been there two or three times with excellent food and service. This last time was sooooo different, difficult, and disappointing. The chile rellano with chicken had no chicken, don't know what was in it. The service was the worst I've had in Tyler. My friends meals were wrong, incomplete, and cold. The wait staff was apologetic but ineffective. What seemed like a manager kept his distance like he knew something was terribly wrong. Hated that I brought my friends there. One star is very generous. RECOMMEND not opening the door to this place.

Worst service, the waiter forgot several request, no refill and not attentive at all. Wasted time and honestly food was not the best either. Oh and forgot to mention the A/C is broken.

We have stopped coming because the food had gotten so bad. So, we thought we would try it again. That was a mistake again. Worse than last time. Our waitress was very nice and did a great job talking and making sure we had everything we needed. It's so disappointing how terrible the food still is. I guess we're so done with Don Benito's. This was my favorite tex mex joint They've 'Improved' themselves out of a customer. No kids' menus? Nothing but soda to drink? I guess kids aren't welcome. Chopped down the menu to nothing, removed my favorite dish? Hell, they might as well start serving warm salsa.. it was fun while it lasted.

I ordered two wet burritos and they were pure chili, if I wanted that I'd go to Walmart and buy it myself. Not a good buy , way overpriced for what I got. I fed it to my dogs. $39.00 got two Taco Bell size chilli coated trash. I want a refund.will not go back nor will I encourage others to treat the loved ones to this place., they will be disappointed.

My family always loved coming here over other Mexican restaurants until after church December 3rd. It started with no plates or napkins for the Chips and salsa. Then my frozen Margherita had a roach in it half way down! Next the granddaughters pizza came whole, no slices cut, my steak served without knives for cutting. And my son in laws taco salad shell was rubbery stale!! Geez! They took the Margherita off my bill and I dared not order another frozen drink. The manager never checked on us or apologized. We had to flag down servers during this ordeal each time we had a problem. We did not make a scene but maybe we should have!! At the end they brought a plate of sopapillas for our "trouble. "We didn't want dessert and there were no saucers to eat them on anyway. Our lunch dished were still scattered on the table, not removed. I wish I had taken pictures. I guess it caught me by surprise.

Came in and didn't have to wait on table. Waitress took drink order and brought drinks quickly but took forever to take our order. It wasn't busy. Several minutes after we ordered we ordered a to go order. The to go order came out and we still hadn't received our food. We finally told them we needed the order to go because we didn't have time to eat now. We were told that they would plate our food and bring it out and we could put it in to go boxes ourselves. We had 1:30 for lunch and we didn't get to eat. That is not okay.

Food was way too greasy. Ordered some fried pickles that were burnt. The rice was cold and greasy and had a funny taste. Ordered some pork green enchiladas that were also cold and were bland. The avocado salsa was spoiled as was the Pico tasted like it was in the refrigerator for a couple of weeks and was sour. Will never go there ever. First and last time for me. Would not recommend.

Ordered the 1/2 chicken and beef fajitas for two and it got rang in as one plus it wasn’t very hot like it sat at the window for too long or something. Same thing with the charro beans, barely warm. Server asked if we wanted the other set up (which we did because it was supposed to be a dinner for two) and he comes back out asking if we just wanted to take it to go, which made me feel like we were being rushed so I went ahead and just took it home. Open it up, and it’s all chicken plus refried beans instead of charro. Frustrated is an understatement. Spent $65 to be disappointed multiple times. This used to be my go to, but I guess I’ll be finding somewhere else to get fajitas.
