Great family restaurant. Service is good just expect a wait if you get there on a peak time. We got there just before the dinner rush so it was okay but when we left, there were a lot of people sitting in the lobby waiting. I think that just speaks to how good it is.
Good food, excellent service, nice atmosphere.
I decided to take my wife for lunch at cheddar's for being such a great wife. The hostess Lexus greeted us at the door and we were immediately seated. As soon as we sat down, server Dyani came and took our order. My wife ordered the barbecue spare ribs and for myself ordered the grilled white fish. Everything was at the table very quickly, presented and prepared properly and the food was so delicious everything was warm and fresh. What impressed me the most was Dyani the server when I asked for a box to go and to my surprise she boxed everything for us, refilled our drinks without asking, this young lady was on top of everything. That usually only happened when I went to very expensive restaurants. Mgr. Tammy introduced her self and asked me how everything was with the service and food. I noticed she worked that dining room along with her employees to make sure customers were satisfied. I highly recommend cheddar's so your wife can enjoy a good meal with good service.
Had lunch with friends here and everything was wonderful.. Lindsay, our server, paid attention to details and showed a real concern to serve quality food in a timely manner. The food was also very affordable for the amount of food we did get. Lindsay paid attention to every aspect of our meal time. She talked us into testing several appetizers from the menu and the appetizers were fantastic. Parking: Plenty of parking and also offer RV and truck parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair access wide doors offer easy access to the restaurant. Thank you to our server, we will come back!
This was my second time eating at Cheddars in general (first time at this particular location). Our waiter Alan was absolutely amazing and made our experience that much better. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. The food was far better than we expected. The food was fresh and flavorful. The prices are amazing and reasonable for all that you get. We had an overall great experience eating here at this newer location.
I had a great experience at cheddars at 6460 N.Desert Blvd location for lunch. We were immediately seated and greeted by our server Lindsay. My wife had baby back ribs and for me the Dijon chicken & mushrooms. The food was out extremely fast. Everything was at the table very quickly, presented and prepared properly and tasted great. Lindsay the server was on top of every, refilled our drinks without asking, cleared dishes, this young lady was all over it. I highly recommend stop by and try the food. All experience were extremely positive for us. We owe it all to our server Lindsay.
My mother n law’s 1st time here at cheddar’s and her experience was awesome way beyond she had fun and was extremely impressed with the food and the atmosphere and hospitality of the restaurant and waiters. Thank you very much cheddar’s and employees 😜
Magdalena was our server and she was great! 30 minute wait so we sat at the bar. We did not wait long for our food and when it arrived it was hot and fresh. The food did not disappoint. My partner and I were both extremely satisfied. We will be back!
Can’t say enough good things about this place. Awesome beverage selection, the menu is amazing, everything is good. The service is excellent too. Probably one of my favorite places to take the family for a nice casual dinner.
I went here last night for the first time and I absolutely loved it. The atmosphere and food and especially the service. I had the ribs and they were amazing. If you order the full rack make sure you are hungry because they are big. Two people could share them. What really made our experience great was our server Symone. She was very friendly, attentive and funny. We enjoyed our conversations with her, she gave us great suggestions and she really made us feel welcomed. If you ever go to this Cheddar's I highly recommend asking for Symone and sitting her section. I look forward to going back.
The cheddars at West town in El Paso is excellent. Good food, good service, reasonable prices! What else could one want?
Amazing wait staff! Very accommodating despite arriving 30 mins prior to closing. Had the best Red Beer made by my waitress. Steak was grilled to order and included mushrooms and onions for free! So glad I only have to drive less than a mile now to enjoy Cheddars and their fantastic menu and Cordial wait staff. Thank you!
Westside location was a pleasant experience for brunch. Our server was excellent and was attentive at all times. The food was served within a good range of time. The quality of the food was fresh, hot, & yummmmy. Restrooms were clean and fresh. The atmosphere at this location was welcoming and clean.
Service is great. Allan did a great job serving our group and always made sure we were taken care of. The croissants they give before the meal were a delicious welcome surprise and I’d come back just to have more, luckily the food is tasty here too.
We had dinner with my daughter and her wife Food was excelente
My new fav place on my side of town. I will go back and try all the dishes. Not at once. Update 2-24-24 they gave a t-bone. It is great. It's for a limited time. The meatloaf is good. Update 11-30-25 I had the ribeye. Pure protein and some vegetables. You can't find another this good for the price. My wife and I took my sister and mom. They liked it.
Dyani was an incredibly kind server. She was insanely attentive and made sure we had everything we needed the entire time we were there. She made the place bright and was such a joy to be served by.
Great place hot food super nice staff. It's always good to know there is a place like this near the house. 10 outta 10 on my order. Thank you
Our server Diani I believe was her name gave us great service and made us laugh through out the night. She took great care of my family and I
Second customer of the day . I always get the usual country fried chicken . Good stuff! Get there early to not have to wait. Server was friendly and cheerful
Food was amazing & our server, Hugh was great! Chicken fried chicken, cheese bites & honey butter croissants are a must. We drove in from Cruces & will definitely come again.
Great food! We got fish and shrimp! Tilapia and shrimp & of course I always get the broc cheddar rice! It was Soo good. The host, food runner and server all were pleasantly helpful! We had a great experience will be back soon! Update:Delicious fast service!
Everything was top notch and first class. The drinks were delicious, the croissants were scrumptious and our entrees were out fast and accurate.
Overall experience 5 star! Was pleasantly greeted by host, server was beyond attentive, and food hit the spot! Not to mention atmosphere was great! A must be back location!
Requested my food to go. Was quickly shown to the bar. My order was placed and brought to me. Everything needed was provided and tasted great.
We had heard about this place and loved it. My family was more than grateful for the delicious food and the staff's attention. Thank you!
I recently dined there with family. We were a party of 8 and were able to be seated quickly. The food and service was great. Upon heading home, my mother realized she had forgotten her purse and cell phone at the restaurant. We turned around and went back, arriving almost 20 minutes after we had left. The staff had collected my mother’s bag and cell phone and were holding it in the back. They were able to return my mother’s items without anything missing. We are so grateful for the friendly and honest staff at Cheddar’s. We will definitely be back
Loved the croissant appetizer. The chicken fried chicken was very good and the service was excellent by Pete.
Super surprised how good it was! Definitely along the lines of Chili's or Applebee's, but more modern atmosphere and the prices were great.
I had a superd visit and next time I visit El Paso, I'm coming back for sure. 1- The food: A-MA-ZING! Coming from Europe, I didn't expect the portions to be THAT big. I enjoyed every single bite of my food. The cook, the taste, everything was spot on with those ribs. 2- The service: fast, quick and efficient. I like the table tablets for quicker access to one of the staff members. Also, what's with the free croissants?? Super good, buttery, flaky!!! 3- The atmosphere: Very authentic and gives some nice Texan vibes. Spacious floor with lots of seating areas. There's also a bar, so that's a plus.
The spinach dip was not as creamy as usual, which made it really dry. The Buffalo wrap and the painkiller were bomb. The carrot cake was amazing. It was different, had coconut on top qnd caramelized pecans 🥲🥲🥲I generally enjoy Cheddar's very much. Their food and drinks usually don't disappoint and their prices are very reasonable.
1st timer & it did not disappoint! The food was soo good . Everything we ordered was 🔥 esp their homemade ranch ! Great customer service 👌
Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen, located in West Towne Marketplace, consistently delivers an exceptional dining experience. The restaurant maintains high standards of cleanliness, provides outstanding service, and offers a delectable menu. Visiting this place is not a common occurrence, yet each experience proves to be quite enjoyable. The atmosphere consistently fosters a sense of relaxation and contentment for anyone present. From the moment of arrival, a pleasant environment immediately sets the stage for a memorable occasion. Therefore, my nonfrequent visits are always met with positive expectations.
Cheddar's, Cheddar's, CHEDDAR'S! This is the third time I come and I have never been disappointed! From the bread to the appetizer, to the entrée! It's just a place that I love to go to! Shout out to the crew leader lady! She knows who she is! Super friendly and nice! The whole team was amazing and earned every dollar I spent! If you haven't already, give this place a try!
This place was amazing! My server Brandon was awesome. Food was outstanding! While it is way out of my way (I live East EP), if I go back to the West for my original reason, there is a good chance I might stop in again. Sadly, I was not able to finish the dessert but I don’t really feel that bad considering it was just me.
Wow! I've been to one other Cheddar's and that was in Tennessee, but this Cheddar's in West El Paso, is really nice. It looked very clean, plenty of booths and tables and a very nice bar with several big screen television. I was really blown away. Very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. This place is in a very great location. Check it out you'll be pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent. I had the New Orleans Pasta and my wife had the white fish.
It was the first week of opening but a couple of things right away caught our attention. 1) the music was WAY TOO LOUD! 2) a couple of female servers kept touching their hair and ears while taking orders, it was kind of gross. Our server was abrupt and understandably in a hurry, she would walk off while we were in mid sentence. She brought the wrong salad dressing , because she couldn’t hear what we asked for. We asked for honey lime and she brought honey mustard. She never came back to check on us so we couldn’t tell her it was wrong. Management if your music is so loud that your servers can’t hear, please turn down the music. You are not a nightclub, you are a restaurant. We were looking forward to Cheddars opening on the westside, and hope things will improve. The food was not bad, but it was not exceptional either. The price was not expensive, it is an affordable place to eat. The restaurant is new and so it is clean and beautiful, all the bus staff was on top of cleanup and worked quickly to get tables ready for the line of people waiting outside. The parking lot is large and plenty of room for vehicles. Plenty of spaces to sit and wait. You can reserve your place in line, before you arrive and I recommend that if you intend to visit in a weekend.
The atmosphere is always welcoming. The service is great. This location is new, and the staff is new, but the service is already quick and attentive to the needs. This is already a favorite place to locals. The prices are competitive. I recommend the ribbs; enough for two people. The hamburgers are excellent. The desserts are all soothing. Sometimes, we come just for dessert at the bar on lazy Sundays.
for a Saturday it was nice not having to wait close to an hr like the east side location..very calm and fresh environment...service was great ,food was good and it didn't cost me an eye for (4) people that we were at the time..definitely visiting again
Much better service and the food was hot. I didn't try the chicken fried steak before it was more crust than meat.
Service and food were top quality. The atmosphere is enjoyable, not too loud and rowdy, considering it was a busy Saturday afternoon. My only reason for 4 stars vs. 5 stars is the cleanliness of the bathroom. The ladies' room could use more consistent tlc.
They are always pretty good. The shrimp and pasta had a lot of shrimp! The Monte Cristo is my favorite.
They have a gluten free (gluten friendly) menu with a variety of options. I had the Dijon chicken with green beans and a baked potato. I told the server I was gluten intolerant and he was very helpful. The food wasn't incredible but it was decent and the dining experience was nice.
Fodd was good, a standard taste Not mind blowing. Good place for a date or celebration
It was a good experience. They dont have a lunch menu. Not ideal if you want to grab a quick lunch. It took 20-25 minutes for our main entrées to be served. I ordered the dijon chicken & mushrooms, it was delicious. The broccoli cheese casserole side was also great. Overall is not cheap, but not that expensive, more or less the same prices and similar menu options as your Applebee's, chillis, etc...
Went there to celebrate my kid's graduation. Food was delicious, but the waitress keeps forgetting our dessert. Wait time was a little longer than what we expected (almost 20 minutes after we finished eating). It was almost quiet as they didn't have loud music playing. Very sensory friendly and we were able to have a conversation without having to shout over the music like when we eat at other restaurants.
I ordered the 7 ozbfillet with baked (overcooked) potatoes and red beans and rice.. didn't know the beans came with some additional meat/pork 🤷🏽♂️ was not pleasant to eat, beans were salty, and rice was mushy with no flavor. The patron margarita was great, and the steak was delicious as well medium rare and it was worth the price. Overall, it was worth eating there since I went with family. Would recommend but have them e plain some of the items in case additional things come with something simple like beans and rice.
Food was great but service was a major letdown 😒. Our server Amanda seemed MIA most of the meal, and when she did show up, she totally ignored our requests for Tabasco and drinks - had to get another server to step in 🙄. Guess she was too busy with the big tables and mopping the floor. Kudos to the other server who actually did their job, though!
Great view, service is hectic for first day, the menu seems pretty generic they have burgers, ribs, chicken tenders etc. I don’t see anything signature that makes their menu stand out from the rest of the TGI Fridays, hard rock, Chili’s etc. type of chain restaurant. Overall it’s alright but nothing to wow you with.
If you're up to some country comfort food, then this is the place for you. This location still has some novelty to it, so the wait times can vary. The northern side of the building feels a bit warmer than the rest of the building, so it was a little too warm for me, but my mom is always cold, so it was perfect for her. Anyway, the buttered croissants are delivered nice and hot with a honey butter that's melted on top. I would come here just for coffee and those croissants alone! I had the chicken tender platter with mashed potatoes and corn. The food was pretty good, and the chicken was all white meat but could've used a little more flavoring. My kiddo loved the grilled cheese sandwich and fries he had. The portions are pretty big, so come hungry or plan on taking a lot of leftover home. The service was so so, she seemed a little lost but she wasn't unfriendly. Overall, I'd say this visit was a positive one, and I'll likely be back.
Went early, 4pm, to dinner to beat the lines. Was greeted and seated quickly. The waitress took our drink and food order quickly as well. The free croissants were good. The rest of the food was just ok. The spinach dip was not hot maybe cooked earlier and waited too long. The sirloin steak, ordered medium, came as well done. I did like the seasoning though. The French fries were not good, very bland. Ordered the carrot cake, but was told they were out. I just found that funny as we were there really early. The restaurant is new, maybe still working out the kinks.
Restaurant is really nice, and atmosphere is great. Food was good and reasonably priced. The waitress was nice. But then it went downhill. After placing the order, the waitress pretty much forgot about us. When the entrees arrived, both of them were missing a side. I told the guy that brought the food, but he never came back with the sides. So after like 10 mins, I had to chase down the waitress (since she stopped checking on our table) to ask for the sides. Finally, the sides arrived, at that point we were almost done eating. Then I ran out of water, and once again, had to chase down the waitress to get a refill. That kind of ruined the experience, cause I ate my food, while being worried about the sides not showing up and the waitress ignoring our table.
Overall it was ok. Steak was overcooked, too salty and too much pepper. Salmon was dry. Ribs were also dry. On top of that we went for my daughter's birthday and they do not even offer to sing happy birthday or a cake... not for free. I was asking to pay.
The steak was very good as well as the meatloaf and bourbon salmon and shrimp service was meh I was often thirsty the main complaint would be that I had left over ribs because they were not very good and I took them home and even my dogs wouldn’t eat them. This was my experience at this cheddars thank you.
A large group of us went for a post-graduation celebration meal. We had a reservation, but still ended up waiting. We didn't complain, but it wasn't ideal. The food is kind of pub food- think cracker barrel meets TGI Friday's- which is fine, but none of us had anything we'd rave over. The prices were a little much for that, but for our graduate, it was fine. The really frustrating part was the servers feeling obligated to involve the kiosk on the table. It definitely seemed like something they had been told to push, but it was extremely frustrating for us, and ultimately caused the only confusion on splitting the checks, since we couldn't correct items assigned to the wrong person, and there was no way to identify which person ordered what when we put it in the kiosk. I wouldn't mind the kiosk as an option for people who don't want to interact, but let the humans working there do their jobs, and don't force technology into every single meal. Also: the gluten-free options are sparse and lacking flavor, in addition to them being exactly the same things gluten-free customers get at every other restaurant- a side of green beans, a side of corn, a salad, a piece of meat. All of the people we interacted with were very nice and friendly, as well as being good at their jobs, and they're really the only thing that made this experience alright overall.
I'm definitely a steak and lover, flamed grilled, My steak tasted like liver without onions. I'm not sure if it was a me think or not. I'm assuming it was me.
I went late in the afternoon. I had a slab of Ribs that were dry and tastless under a ton of bbq sauce. I love Pork Ribs. I think these were prepared hours before i arrived and dried out. They figured that the sauce would bring the dead back to life. Wrong. I used to love Cheddars, I thought. I had been looking forward to eating here since they opened months ago. I like to wait until they work the bugs out. Well, noone was here and now I know why. They lost their touch, or the food is just no good.
Went this past Saturday waiter was pleasant and did his best to be attentive. Food was cold, and tempid at best , only sent one item back, the onion rings. Looked at receipt charged for both orders. I did try to get my money refunded for the overcharge spoke with Mgr on duty over the phone. He couldn't find the receipt told me he would call me back to get it resolved. As of right now nothing has changed. Plus for a hamburger, fries, onion rings, chicken/shrimp platter. Not s good experience, not good food. My first time there time too, I will not be returning.
The air conditioning was broken, something that we weren't informed off prior to our 45 minute wait. When we sat down at the table in the corner, there was no air flow and it felt like 90 degrees. The server said she could move us but that it would take about 45 more minutes to eat if we wanted to. Our server forgot to bring us croissants, brought the salads out after our meals and kept forgetting to bring me a straw. When I asked for croissants, she gave me attitude and said they were out and that everyone else around us got them because they were here first. On top of that, she brought some out at the end of the meal and they were burned so black on the bottom they tasted like charcoal. We weren't offered refills for the entirety of the meal and when the check came, they tried to charge us for 6 drinks (adding an extra $12 to our ticket). When we did bring it up to the server she tried to argue with my wife about charging us for two drinks each, which is crazy. Overall, terrible experience and we will have to consider whether we want to return.
Great good, server was great. Host not so much. Let the young lady know we would be washing our hands before getting our table. We came back to her just pointing to our table and having to confirm which table since she take us to our table. Bad attitude but when other employees and manager came around her attitude changed completely.
The food was horrible and for some reason everything was spicy. It was our first time there, we had the chicken fried steak and the filet and were completely put off. The service and atmosphere were nice, but the main reason we went was to eat and left very disappointed with the food
We usually have a wonderful experience. The food and service is usually excellent. Tonight was horrible. Our server took our drink order and brought iced teas, without ice. The steak was ordered as medium rare. It was so rare it had to be sent back. The salad was served after my meal arrived with wrong dressing. I asked if blue cheese and she said no she spaced what kind of dressing so she gave me ranch. She also spaced the gravy on the mashed potatoes. The shrimp was cold and couldn't get that fixed since she checked on us in passing but never really stopping. My blackened salmon was excellant. We did not space her tip. However, we only tipped 10%. I am a generous tipper for good service and more so for excellent service. She didn't deserve a tip but I'm not mean. Mostly bummed that you wait until payday to go out and spend your hard earned money on bad service and food. 😒
I came here the week that it opened and it was horrible! I decided to give it another try after they had been open for a few weeks. I came back and it wasn't as bad as the first time but not much better. The first time we were there the food was so over seasoned I couldn't eat it. The second time, the food was salty and mushy. The atmosphere was fine. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very pleasant and attentive. My husband said that his food was OK, nothing spectacular but not bad. I don't think I'll come back again.
Very disappointing, the food was not the best, quality was lacking (nothing tasted like it was made from scratch). Cheeseburger had old lettuce, veggies were wilted. No cutlery was provided, no condiments were provided, I had to ask for mayo (which was given in a packet instead of a serving dish). Monte Cristo was burnt yet greasy, cheap ingredients used. Nothing tasted fresh. I will not eat here again.
Ate here on a Tuesday at around 7pm. Server was kind, no complaints. But the food was horrible. No croissants, apparently they were burned for the entire 1.5 hours I was there. Took the food forever to get to us, and when it did, the fries were cold and stale. Fish was warm, not even close to hot. Likely won’t be back.
I tried them when they first opened and it was bad the food was flavorless and not proplerly cooked so i said ill wait… its been a year and i ordered pasta for the meat to be burnt and old and tough and flavorless.. and the noodles to be overcooked so disappointing .. croissants were good tho and garlic bread which i bit off of but the pasta is not edible.
Went in today for lunch with a friend and sat in the bar area, was quite disappointed. The service was mediocre and the food was not good at all. Ordered the steak and chicken tenders combo and the steak was mostly fat. Hoping to have a better experience in the future, if we go back.
I couldn’t believe how different the food tasted here at this location. I went several times to the one on the east side and food was pretty good . I ordered the spinach dip appetizer it was horrible not the same as the East side location it was watery no cheese added nothing like I am used too .The main course I ordered was lemon pepper chicken it was dry , no flavor and tough , broccoli cheddar casserole was good , red bean and rice no taste. I am not sure if food changed but not going back to this location ever again 😖
I usually rate Cheddar’s a solid 4/5 stars, but my recent experience fell short due to the poor service. From the moment I walked in, I was met with an unfriendly demeanor from the hostess, “Britney.” When I informed her of my party size, she rolled her eyes, which felt unnecessary, especially since the restaurant wasn’t busy. The table she led us to was disorganized, with menus scattered everywhere. When I asked for extra silverware, she returned with it but placed it on the table just as I was reaching for it, making the interaction feel dismissive. Throughout our visit, it seemed as though our requests and even our presence were an inconvenience to her. It was disappointing and made me feel unwelcome, which is the opposite of what a hostess should strive for. A warm and friendly greeting can set the tone for the entire dining experience, and unfortunately, that was missing here.
Completely rude we were totally ignored. Sat us down and never was attended to after
Ordered food for pick up at 1130 today and our whole bank staff that ate the cheese bites have diarrhea n vomiting. Those who didn't are fine. Never again
Food was great service was great but I noticed they are infested with the flying mosquitoes 🦟 saw another table clapping to try and kill them…
Service was horrible. Salmon and steak were over cooked. Very disappointed from the last time The broccoli casserole was moist last time and now it's like a clump of crackers with minimal broccoli. Not coming back probably.
When the previous manager was in charge, everything was great. It would make for a great meal out. The new manager seems to be dropping the ball. Service and food was bad the last few time we went. You can definitely tell the difference and decline during the dining experience. This was at the west location.
We were the last party for the day and each meal had excessive amount of salt. Soda drinks were flat. Tea was so watered down. Too afraid to ask for assistance. Staff made us feel rushed to eat and leave. The restaurant locked it's doors 15 minutes until closing time.
First, I waited 10 minutes in my car past my Order to Go time. I walked inside and waited another 5 minutes before being helped. Then an overworked unfriendly worker finally helped me, brought my order, and I had to ask for utensils. She went back into the kitchen to retrieve utensils. When I finally started eating, the green beans were mushy and the entire hamburger had a horrible burnt taste! Not impressed with the food or service and will likely not return.
We were some of the last customers of the night me and my friends come here because we like the food but the service is always horrible. Every server has a long face and makes us feel like we are bothering them when we ask for simple things. I got a burger that came with fries, I never got the fries after the guy told me they were going to bring me fresh fries and never received them. They were also trying to charge us for an appetizer we had order but also once again never recieved. This is very disappointing we always hope to have a better experience every time we stop by but we never do sadly our last visit.
Ordered meat cooked medium !! was fully cooked well done, not good ! dry meat , it was the filet great piece of meat just cooked wrong!!! Order was delivered warm while inside the restaurant , baked potato was so cold the butter inside would not melt!!! Sad… veggie was luke warm , had to ask for refill on coffee, had to ask for refill on glass of tea!! My brother meal was also luke warm , the quality of food was sad service was sad , this restaurant could be great but takes to long to receive cold food!! Will I go back NO!!!! Texas road house is 10 times better!! Just a little loud !!
