Omg! Just delicious. As soon as you take a bite of their food, you can taste a variety of powerful and delicious flavors. I generally order Chicken Fajitas, Chicken Quesadilla, Cheese crisp, Flauta (chicken) with flour tortilla, and Chicken Chimichangas. Total value for money, and one of my most recommended places to eat in the Globe.
Great little restaurant... Reminds me of New Mexico style... Great green chili sauce... Wish they would move to my neighborhood... 1 hour 15 is too far to do very often
My adult son was visiting from Puerto Rico and wanted Mexican food, in particular, his favorite cheese crisp. My wife and I had not been to this restaurant for several years but my son looked at on line reviews and said he would like to try it. Needless to say, we were thoroughly impressed. The food was excellent, "Sam" ,our waitress, was the perfect hostess/waitress, and it appeared to be a favorite restaurant for a lot of take out. Though the restaurant was full and always busy, we could still carry on a conversation in our booth. My wife and I have decided that this is now our favorite Mexican food restaurant in the Globe area. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience.
Haven't been here to eat in years but still very delicious felt like being around family loud and friendly service. 😁❣️
Good food. Friendly service. We had burros and a enchilada platter. Very tasty! The salsa was exceptional. It came w the chips, which were also very good, but we added salsa to everything. Salsa had very good flavor and a solid spicy kick.
We happened to stumble upon this place after reading the reviews & it did not disappoint! Their chips and salsa, pozole, and carne asada were EXCELLENT! I loved their pozole so much that I got another container to-go because I live an hour and a half away. I’ve been back multiple times and their service and other food is always excellent. The seating is very minimal but it’s a must try!
A few parking spots to the left of the building, or on the main street. Very small, brightly colored interior. It isn't immediately obvious how it all works. But, the hostess/server/cashier/bus person(?) will seat. They'll bring chips and the one type of salsa (not spicy, and without excessive cilantro). Food was excellent. Service was with a smile, but they seemed to be quickly overwhelmed by the steady stream of diners and take-outs; never did get a refill of iced tea. When done, go to the counter to pay. Somehow they keep all the orders correct! Will definitely return for dinner, maybe even make a special trip from Phoenix. Best refried beans I ever tasted (sorry Abuelita), and in the top 3 chile rellenos.
Great little hem located in Globe. The wife went with the Cheese Enchiladas and I had the Chili Renello. Both were great (mine was better). Complimentary chips and salsa. Salsa was really good, had a little spice but nothing overpowering. Loved the painted furniture and overall vibe of the restaurant.
Delicious!!!! Great little place with amazing food, Awesome table service, very affordable. The chips and salsa 🎉🎉 I wanted to buy the salsa and take it home. Highly recommend to everyone looking for Delicious Mexican food. I had the #4. Tostada, enchilada, beans and rice !!!!!! Took a green chili burrito home and it was fantastic. The meat was so tender and the green sauce outstanding 🎉🎉🎉
I had the small bowl of menudo and a Negra for lunch. It came with all the appropriate condiments, oregano, onion (diced) and lime. Portion was good, flavor and spice was nice. A bit watered down but the tripe portions and size were very good. I didn't get the waitresses name but she was entertaining, engaging, prompt, helpful, not to mention a real beauty. There were five of us, we all left full and glad we visited.
My friend from Globe was explaining to me the unique history of Mexican food in the region. I got lost in the details. But the chili that we had was unique and very good. I usually like corn tortillas better, but the flour tortillas were perfectly greasy & warm. The fresh salsa was good too.
Very small and not a lot of tables. Our first time here. We walked in and saw every table but one occupied. We saw another couple arrive just before us and seat themselves so we took the liberty of taking the last table since no staff was acknowledging our presence. There were 4 of us. We had been there quite some time with staff walking right by us and servicing others. Still no acknowledgement or eye contact. Several uncomfortable minutes passed and I started to get up and go to the counter when finally we were acknowledged. 4 menus were placed on the table while she asked for our drinks. We literally didn't realize they were there for a few moments. Seemed is they were not handed to us. Our drinks with chips and salsa were brought. The chips were average but the salsa was very good. The bowl was not well filled with chips and we had them gone well before our food arrived. I was offered a drink refill but not a chip refill. The food turned out to be some of the best we have had. Special shot out for the green Chile burros, beef tacos and cheese enchiladas. The green Chile had tender pork and fresh green Chile. Only negative was the burrito was small and not abundantly filled. The beef tacos had nothing to complain about. Well proportioned and cheese melted on the crisp shell. The enchilada sauce was amazing. The quality and freshness of the food was too notch. I know my Mexican food and this was great. We are looking forward to our next time here. They didn't bring a ticket to the table so when you are ready to pay you go to the counter. I had to wait for two others ahead of me to pay. This is the old school way and I prefer to pay at the table. So overall food is great, service is not really there. That's okay, I split the tip with the server and myself.
We were grossly disappointed in the quality of the carnitas... So sad to have to give a three star rating. My reviews slant high because I am mostly inclined to report on our best experiences. But fair is fair. We heard from everyone we met that the Mexican food in Globe was the "best in Arizona". El Ranchito is highly reviewed so we were super optimistic. The ambience is bright and friendly. The decor looks like it has been recently updated with paintings on the tables and booths. The chips and salsa were quite good. We ordered a carnitas plate and a beef flauta. Rice, beans, guacamole, shredded cabbage, and flauta all earned top marks! But what was that layer of shredded cabbage hiding...? 🤔 The carnitas was a cubed chunk style, which is not my preferrence. I like a pulled pork style. Anyway, the cubes of pork were extremely tough and tasted gamey. We couldn't stab them with a fork. And some of it was clumped together so badly we couldn't separate it. I've had a lot of carnitas over the years and this was bottom-shelf stuff. Our server was kind but said this was the normal style for their carnitas. She offered us a replacement dish, which we declined, and took a few dollars of our bill. Final review... Mostly great food. Bad carnitas. Dirty kitchen, easily seen from the checkout counter. Brown-spotted limes.
Based on reviews and a recommendation, I tried this place out. I have been eating the food in this region for over 50 years. It used to be the best in the state, and it still is; however, it won’t take long until someone else takes these ideas and improve them. The quality of the food in the Globe-Miami area is going downhill. Yes, I said it. For whatever reason, the kids and grandkids of the original recipe and restaurant owners are cutting corners, and it shows. I am still looking for the restaurant that has the best of everything. I wanted this place to be amazing. The beans have the potential to be the best beans in the southwest. They just need salt. You can tell they have lard and high-quality beans and a few other ingredients, but they somehow turned those amazing beans into something bland. As soon as we added salt, it brought out all the flavors. They were amazing! The rice had the potential to be delicious, but it lacked any salt whatsoever. As soon as we added salt, it brought out the flavor of the rice. The shredded beef tacos were missing two things: salt and an adequate amount of meat. As you can see in the picture, is filled with lettuce and a little cheese, and a spoonful of shredded beef. Very disappointing. Once everyone at the table added salt to their tacos, they were good, but I did not expect it to be almost a vegetarian taco. The salsa was really good and did not need salt. The chips were mediocre. There are much better chips in town. And I was so excited to try the green chile burro. But, once again, there were two things missing: salt and meat. it had giant chunks of vegetables throughout it, but only six nickel-sized chunks of pork in the entire thing! That was not only disappointing, but deceptive. I ate half of the burro before I found a single chunk of meat. In the picture, you can see the first little piece, which I found halfway through. No, I was not holding it in my hand, and all the meat sank to the bottom; it was on its side. The bean burros were pretty good, except we had to open them up and add salt to be able to taste anything. If you look through the negative comments for this restaurant, you will see a pattern of disappointment, and the common theme is lack of flavor. Several mention some of the items not having enough meat. If we ever return, we will instantly break out the salt and ask them to quadruple the meat. If you’re going to cut corners in this economy, look for other solutions. Don’t let it affect the quality and taste of the food,
Sadly my experience was similar to the other lower reviews. Was in town and found this place and gave it a try. Tacos were grossly lacking in meat. Almost to the point I thought it was forgotten. Beans were very runny. Lettuce browning and rice was stale. Quality of food I'd expect from like a cafeteria where the food was sitting out all day. $33 for 2 two taco plates. 👎
