A culinary gem with an unforgettable ending. The sweet potato mousse is a masterpiece! My visit to Marisquería Garage was an experience of contrasts and distinct flavors, culminating in one of the most pleasant surprises I've had in a long time. We started with a shrimp cocktail that was presented fresh, with excellent texture and a broth perfectly balanced in its acidity and sweetness; a classic executed with cleanliness and precision. For the main courses, we explored two distinct approaches. The "filete a la diabla" (devil's fillet) lived up to its name with a decisive and intense spiciness, which cleverly didn't overshadow the freshness and flavor of the fish. A bold and well-executed dish for those who love a kick. On the other hand, the Louisiana-style shrimp showcased a great complexity of spices; A robust, aromatic dish with that authentic Cajun flavor that transports you straight to the southern United States. Even the children's dish, the fish strips, maintained the standard: a crispy, light coating, not a trace of excess grease, and tender fish inside. It's appreciated that the quality doesn't dip on the kids' menu. However, the absolute revelation, the dish that elevated the meal from "very good" to "memorable," was the dessert. The sweet potato mousse is, frankly, exquisite. With a silky, velvety texture and a sweetness so perfectly calibrated that it respects the sweet potato's earthy, natural flavor, this dessert is worthy of being a dish in itself. It's a haute cuisine creation disguised as a home-style dessert. Garage Seafood isn't just a place to eat good seafood; it's home to a dessert that, on its own, justifies the visit. Don't you dare leave without trying it. Highly recommended.

The shrimp were salty and greasy, and the sauce was only spicy; it didn't taste like Parmesan at all. The orangeade, despite being in season, wasn't natural. The rice was tasteless and dry. The shrimp cream was very good, the service was excellent, and the hygiene was very good, but the flavor wasn't great.

Avoid this place. We ordered huachinango fried fish. They told us the price was based on the size of the fish. They charged us almost $600 pesos per fish. It was extremely overpriced, the fish was overcooked and super dry. I believe they charged us this amount because they noticed we were from the US. Would not recommend. Instead, go to Ostioneria Acapluco down the street. I ordered the same fish there, and it was great for only $150 pesos.
