There is a lovely lady in bakery, I think her name is Sophia. I’m from New Jersey and we don’t have Publix there. last time I was in the south I tried the cheesecake in the almond cone from the bakery and it was to die for. So I called up and asked if they had any and she was gracious enough to stop what she was doing to prepare me two fresh ones. You don’t see that level of customer service often. Thanks to Sophia in the bakery for going above and beyond!

Excellent supermarket. This Publix branch is very well located in the South Beach area. The quality and variety of its products are excellent. The prices are reasonable. The staff is very attentive. The bakery, butcher shop, deli, and fish market are really good. It has free parking for two hours.

I called around for local private catering for food & desserts (b4 traveling/party wkend) everyone was super expensive and wasn't giving variety!! But, Publix...I ordered assorted fruit trays, pasta salad, meat/cheese/fruit trays, tray of dips w/variety crackers, chocolate covered strawberries, let's not forget that cake...Publix Cake was the rave

The deli sandwiches are soooo good! What makes them even better is SAMUEL, he’s a true sandwich artist, guest services extraordinaire and maybe even a bit of a comedian too! This guy deserves a raise and should be running the department. He made sure our sandwiches were perfect and was fun to talk to while we were waiting. He seems to really enjoy working with customers. I highly recommend stopping here for a sandwich made by Samuel!

Girl at customer very helpful !! 12/30/19 I’m shopping at Publix and have to use the bathroom- it just so happens that at this exact time the man comes in to clean it !!! He knows I’m standing there and is i think for the first time I’m a week mopping as he sees me there standing for the last 30 minutes !! I forgot customers are last .. I come into this Publix almost everyday and the bathrooms are never clean but I bring my own spray however today he’s doing the works !! If thr have a sheet the bathroom should never get dirty anyways ... it’s obvious they don’t follow the sheets’ time 10-10-2020 ⭐️ I guess this is the “new normal” customer service lines at Publix are horrendously long !!!! Where is the help ? Meanwhile you have a lady standing at the door telling people “ cover your face” and she’s getting paid for what!! What’s wrong with this world 🌎 ? Social Distance practice at a minimum!

This review has been viewed over 2129 times. Clean and organized establishment; corporate standards really seem to be upheld with integrity here. I noticed many employees working productively and ready to help any customers in need of assistance. Checkout seems to move at a higher than normal rate than the usual trip to your local grocery store. I did notice a few elevators are currently out of service and waiting for maintenance; this did not change my rating because the establishment is following safety protocol and communicating with proper signage. Don't forget to get your parking validated! When it comes to associates, customers, representatives, and vendors, this is Publix, and every corporation must uphold Corporate America standards in all facilities and business establishments. 🇺🇸

Great store. Staff are not friendly but it's in the beach. Bought stuff for a customer but the forgot to bag my water in the same bag and l accidentally left it behind after l told them bag all my items in one paper bag when they still bought the groceries in two separate plastic bags. So make sure the bagger is not distracted like mine was.

The supermarket was very nice. Like almost all supermarkets in Miami Beach, they had a wide variety of items, including the health and care aisle. The only thing I could suggest is that at least one cashier could speak Spanish; perhaps I wasn't lucky that day. I've attached photos of the cookie aisle, where I was impressed by the number of Oreos they carry, since they're my favorite cookies.

The most complete supermarket and the best price in South Beach, but it lacks variety in some fruits and vegetables and fish. The rest is spectacular. If you have an apartment in the area, this is the right place to shop.

Fantastic supermarket. You can find everything. The deli department is delicious. The Boar's Head products are particularly good. Very kind staff.👍The only negative is the veal meat. Once was better. Now they sell you the young bull instead of the real veal. It's too thick and too hard.

Is there new management? The checkouts were greeting people if there lane was open etc. it’s like there is a new sheriff in town so to speak. The store still has problems such as cleanliness, aisle access and security needs to be doing more than personal calls. It amazed me a dog owner who walks right on by and nothing is said. The signs are posted but the huge sign at entrance was askew. I AM A DOG LOVER. I WAS MEMBER OF THE AKC. But it is state and federal law that non service dogs are not permitted in a grocery store. If dog owners really loved their dogs they wouldn’t bring their dog to a grocery store. Google the word zoonotic. This store is trying to look like the better Publix stores and it appeared something was different. I hope the improvement continues. Beware of beer aisle with all the beer stacked on the floor and not in the coolers. I saved this review for other visits. I worry about security when the guard is on the phone reading, perusing, texting… don’t take my word check the in store cameras. On management at the good Publix you see the manager. He greets. He is walking around. If you are getting seafood or a sandwich or deli, things need to have better team leaders. On the subs which everyone loves, I don’t know the lead guy… he is maybe early 30s and tall.. but he runs a tight friendly customer service oriented unit. If he isn’t there, I skip it. STOCK people are very nice And are very hard at work and you hate to stop them but who else is there. They will get out their data bases and check to see if the item is in the store and if it’s there, where it is. CONTAMINACION CRUSADA needs to be reviewed. I know this isn’t WEGMANS but it’s odd when you go north of Dade County the stores are run differently there. Boca, Pompano, Aventura, Deerfield-I HAVE DONE MY HOMEWORK. My cashier was Tashica. She was professional, pleasant, congenial, collegial and asked if I found everything etc. She PACKED the groceries the way they should be: hot with hot, cold with cold, chemicals etc, newspaper separately- why pay all that money for the NY TIMES and find it soaked. I had to return something and Andy was understanding and nice. I thought he was the assistant manager. Many of the owners I interviewed south of Second don’t shop here. But why do I persevere the SAVINGS: THOSE BOGO deals plus your membership by phone number discounts is what makes PUBLIX, PUBLIX. Yes, I could go to other Publix’s when I am not at LA PLAYA MARKET for their delicious inexpensive coffee or there hot foods-you guy should taste their frijoles negros etc. Their beans are the best in town plus other hot dishes are winners. But I consider my local bodega and Publix my big box store. This P has a sad vibe about it but there are a few gems there: TASHICA, ANDY, STOCK CREW and I am sure maybe others. I am doing a longitudinal study on the THREE stores closest to me. Publix is a great brand there are just some hiccups here and there. Publix is privately owned and has steady growth and from my interviews why most people go is proximity, overall pricing and BOGOs. Why do I care because Miami Beach is my community. This is Miami Beach Alton corridor- NOTHING SHOULD BE SUBPAR. I love PUBLIX.

It's usually good. I started going to Whole Foods more for a couple months, all because there are times here where there are no carts and/or only 1 or 2 registers open with long lines.... But it's the bad visits that stick out in your mind. I've drifted back to coming here primarily. 80% of the time it's good. And the rare times there are baggers working, it's awesome. Well stocked store and good layout given the size. And the store manager responded politely to a formal complaint I issued once. The elevators are indeed annoying. But those are the building, not just Publix.

Hot food is fresh and delicious at noon, especially the fried chicken! Cold case has a wonderful variety of take and reheat as well as various cold salads. Managers and Employees are friendly and helpful. The negatives are, the numerous displays in the isles causing traffic jams and the large number of stocking carts with emplyees 9n the way trying to stock shelves during busy shopping hours. Hard to get around and keep your distance. They are having difficulty keeping shelves full during Covid. Many times they are out of random staple items.

Pets completely allowed. Without a leash and roaming on their own around the store. Took a few pictures of the careless owner and dog. Reported to the staff on shift. No reaction. Please, remove the sign Pets Not Allowed at the entrance because it is not true. Staff tried to convince me it was a service animal, but after 5 months in the USA I never saw a single unleashed service animal being ignored by the owner, who by the way looked more like she was about to go to her night job. Maybe staff must stop being afraid of snobbish customers and start following their own rules!

You need to check very careful the expiration date on the products at this supermarket, specially the offers buy one and get one free. This store is the shame of all Publix stores, they don't care about the buyers health, they only want to make money even at our health expense. I buy at Publix everywhere I go and I expected this Publix was better or at least same to the others I have visited, because its location, but what a great disappointment, this Store is small, unattractive and they don't have the variety and good quality other Publix located in more poor areas have. It's a shame, what a waste of location and prestige.

Ordered my sub and order was suppose to be ready by 2:15. Got there at 2:17, but the sub wasn’t even made. I waited and informed them that I was waiting but the employee started taking other customers. Employee said they thought I left but I didn’t even move from where I was. Employee then gave me attitude, and gave me the sun saying “here”. I was late from lunch break.
