A great place to enjoy some rice dishes. The waiters were very friendly, helping us choose and making a reservation days in advance. I'll definitely be back. They also offer takeaway rice dishes if you'd prefer to enjoy them at home.

We came from Madrid to celebrate my birthday, and we couldn't have chosen a better option. A typical restaurant, not modern, cool, or fancy, where the most important thing is the service and what you eat. The only complaint I have, especially considering where it is, is that they don't have air conditioning, but they do have plenty of fans, lots of them 🤣 The service was fast, very friendly and attentive, and very warm and friendly. For 5, we ordered the cheese and ham croquettes, both large and very flavorful. The potatoes with cheese and bacon were natural and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, although with little sauce. The cuttlefish had a perfect texture but was bland; with a little salt, it was great. The main thing... the rice. Perfectly sized for 5, I'd say it was even enough for 6, because between the two of us, we ate the extra plate, which was almost left over, haha. The rich broth was intense with lots of flavor, the grains well-cooked, with drier parts with socarrat and others more syrupy. 10/10. And the desserts were just as we were told, homemade, and it showed. The cheesecake was super creamy without being runny, and the rice pudding with cinnamon was almost like my mom's 😜 According to my friends, the best place to eat rice in Oropesa 😉 Oh, and at €28 a pop, considering what we ate and drank... incredible.

We were pleasantly surprised when we took the waiter's advice and ordered two tasting menu items. All the dishes were delicious, and the service was impeccable. The portions looked small, but I couldn't finish the last one. The homemade desserts were also very good. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The temperature of the restaurant is perfect, the proportion of food is ideal: I recommend the razor clams, which you order for two but are good for about 20 people. The waiter shouts a bit but is very attentive and friendly. They have a fountain where you can soak with sea creatures. We've been coming here for several years and will return next year. P.S. When you order squid, make sure you order it without salt; it's a bit overcooked.

We called late to ask if we could order paella for lunch, and they made room for us without any problem. The restaurant is spacious and welcoming. The waiters are very friendly. The service is excellent. And finally, the food was delicious. We ordered grilled cuttlefish as a starter before the paella, which was tender and flavorful. The paella for two people was enormous. We have big appetites, and even so, we couldn't finish it. It was very tasty with a final touch of charcoal grilling. They offered to take it to go. If you're spending a few days in Oropesa and want to eat a good rice dish, we recommend this place. It doesn't have sea views, it's not touristy, and the street isn't very central, but it's a sure bet.

It's our first time here, and I really liked it. Everything was fine, no frills, but nothing was missing. Food, service, quality, quantity, and price. It has an outdoor terrace. The rice dishes, the Sary potatoes, and the flambéed octopus are highly recommended. We'll be back.

After checking Google reviews and because we happened to be passing by, we decided to book for the next day. The rice dishes looked amazing, but we'd already eaten there the day before. We ordered several appetizers and a couple of main courses. I would have loved the turbot, but I had to settle for the sea bass, which was fantastic. The portions were generous and all very good. Outstanding value for money. Highly recommended.

Good restaurant. We first visited in September 2022 and loved it. We went back every week. Perfect service, friendly and welcoming. Excellent food. They had a daily set menu, and the rice dishes each day were delicious and perfectly cooked. This September we returned and noticed they no longer have a daily set menu. Now it's a daily special. Some of the staff have also changed. That day they had sea bream with paella. It was good. We ordered the Sary potatoes, which we had tried before. The service is still good, fast, and friendly. The food is still good, but we miss the daily set menu. It has an indoor dining room and an outdoor terrace.

Las patatas Sary, espectaculares. El trato de los camareros, increíblemente bueno. Los postres, caseros y muy ricos. El pulpo, rico. El pero fue que la paella estaba demasiado salada, de sabor rica, pero pasada de sal, una pena. Volveremos a repetir para ver si fue un fallo de ese día.

Un buen lugar donde recalar para comer, tanto a la carta como menú. El menú es amplio, disponiendo de 4 platos de primero, 4 de segundos y una lista casi sin fin de postres a elegir. Nosotros hemos comido 3 días seguidos dado que el mesón está a escasos 150 metros del pabellón de hockey (donde celebrábamos un campeonato). Pudimos probar carrilleras, bacalao, fideuá, paella, albóndigas en salsa, merluza,... Todo muy bueno. El servicio es rápido (éramos 20 entre adultos y niños) y el trato correcto. Por ponerle una pega seria, no tiene aire acondicionado, de manera que siendo finales de junio, y con ola de calor, ha sido un infierno comer ahí. Menú de adultos 14€ y el de niños 10€

Terrible experience. Last week I ordered a Valencian paella to take away. It was salty, pure salt, and we could only eat 1/4. When I went to return the paella with the remaining 3/4, I asked for it to be tasted. They came into the kitchen, came out, and told me it wasn't salty, it was "STRONG" (????). To top it all off, I went to their Facebook page and the menu listed it at 14 euros per serving, and they charged me 17 euros. In other words, a total disaster in every way. I'm attaching photos of the paella, the bill, and the prices from their Facebook page.
