Avis sur Happy Donut San Francisco
This is exactly what I was looking for my last breakfast on my US trip on a sleepy Sunday morning in SF. Food was good, vibes ok and excellent service. Loved the lottery machines and people playing with them made the place more real. Recommended!
The happiest donut display case I’ve seen in San Francisco. Every pastry is perfectly crafted. The Cinnamon roll is huge. Their Veggie omelet is tasty; definitely worth the price. Serving size is important.
How could anyone ever give happy donuts a bad review? Fresh donuts, quick breakfast and excellent service from Celeste one of the best servers here since I got here to San Francisco over 15 years ago thank you so much for serving the community. Great service and thank you Celeste for being the besthost
Friendly staff!! Delicious 10/10 meal. Served Hot Breakfast sandwich, chocolate donut and iced coffee
Classic coffee and donuts. Way better than those fancy coastal elite bakeries.
I ordered a breakfast cheese, egg, sausage croissant—one of the best I have had in SF. The lady was amiable and professional. The croissant had Great flavors and stayed hot as I ran three blocks in the rain back to Portsmouth Garage. I ate my food so fast that I didn't take a picture this time around but it was a great breakfast.
It’s a great place to have breakfast in the North Beach area of San Francisco. I ordered some Chicken Chilaquiles and was surprised with the flavor. The place was packed, but in my opinion it was worth the wait. The only thing I wish it was better was the coffee. I felt that everything else was great, and was disappointed with the coffee. Other than that, I highly recommend this place for breakfast, brunch or just donuts. They close at 6:00PM.
Open 24/7! I’ve always admired this shop for its fresh donuts and chill atmosphere. Huge windows for people watching. There’s always really cool looking locals here enjoying a cup. Lotto tickets and scratchers sold here. You can get hearty American breakfasts. They have about 7 different coffees to choose from, refills are $1 for small and $1.50 for large. Donuts were only $1 for the glazed. I paid $7.25 for a large coffee, medium soy latte and a donut - not bad.
Best donuts I’ve ever had! So fresh and flavorful. Very friendly service as well. Highly recommend!

Clean atmosphere 🏧 open late most nights; lottery tickets, Great Products Friendly Great Prices 😃
Always love stopping by here and enjoying a doughnut or a breakfast to start my day. Thank you to all the team for giving such great customer service.
The donuts here are out of this world good. Especially the apple fritters, cinnamon buns, and crumb cake donut. And the coffee is really good too. Not too strong and bitter. Just right. The staff is always friendly and helpful and quick with a smile. There are tons of other breakfast and lunch offerings from the grill but when they have the best donuts in SF, and quite possibly the world, why try anything else. I have lived in 16 countries on 3 continents, and travelled to dozens more, and the donuts here are by far the best I have ever had. The place is a hot spot for breakfast and lunch but as the staff is so efficient and helpful you never have to wait long. I gave the atmosphere a 5 star because if you come to a traditional, old style, American artisan donut emporium and expect something other than basic accoutrements, you’re in the wrong place. The place is not chi-chi or frou-frou, but it is down home, comfortable and clean.
I tried the donuts and some other pastries. Really fresh and I was impressed with the glazed donut, especially for this price in comparison with other bakeries around the West coast. Solid bakery, really fresh stuff and the recipes are thought through. Fluffy and not too sugary imo. Not coming from the US and having tested a few donuts in the US, i really liked this one. Also had a good french Toast breakfast with Bacon and eggs one morning, but the plate looked a bit empty. Or better that the portion could have been a bit bigger. Also i don't know how this really fits together as one meal, but it seems like a thing. For this prices you can't go wrong in the SF area imo.
Stopped by Christmas Eve and picked up a variety of donut holes for dessert. I also ordered a cheese, egg, and avocado breakfast sandwich which was yummy. Service was SUPER friendly. They also serve breakfast dishes so I plan on returning to try it out.
I wouldn’t say this is a *must* but then again, maybe this is the bar in SF? I definitely didn’t hate it! It’s always great to have eggless breakfast options + hash browns with almost everything? I’m into it! I had the Avocado Bacon Cheese sandwich with hash browns and a Vietnamese coffee with oat milk. The avocado was the equivalent of a butter scraping; super light. Honestly, the sandwich gave Waffle House and that’s not an insult; just that it wasn’t flavorful (outside of the buttery bread) or very memorable. The equivalent of getting *a* sandwich at *a* bodega.
A hidden gem for sure! Super solid, straightforward breakfast and good donuts and pastries. Always hits the spot and I'm a regular whenever I stay in Chinatown 👌🏾. Nothing too extra and overwhelming, just a simple quality breakfast in a calm setting.

Great donuts here! The breakfast plate was good, and not too expensive. But if you are looking for a good donut, this is the place!
Open late, good donuts, also coffee and some other food available, one of my goto's when want a snack and to chill on laptop.

The donuts are ok, but nothing special. The ambience is ok. Everything was a bit dated and not really nicely decorated. We were given more donuts in the bag than we had ordered. These were also charged. When we realised this after we had opened the bag, we wanted to return the donuts that we hadn't ordered. The lady took the donuts back but refused to give us our money back. She was loud and extremely rude to us. We felt cheated and will certainly not visit this place again.
The place smelled like ash. The people who hangout inside smoke and while they smoke out doors they stand right next to it making the shop smell like cigarettes. Donuts are pretty good though.

Today imma have to give them one star I ordered a bacon cheese and egg croissant and asked them how much sausage links would be on the side they told me 2 bucks I told them I’ll pass on the sausage links when I got there and went home to eat my sandwich they didn’t put the bacon on my sandwich when I went back the lady who took my order and brought it up to her attention she rudely told me she wasn’t paying attention and was to busy to pay attention to my order and didn’t add the bacon cause she thought I said sausage when I clearly said “BEC sandwich how much would it be with sausage links on the side?” She charged me 2 dollars extra for the original price for the meal to add bacon when it was her mistake t also the cooks weren’t wearing gloves while cooking the food and was rubbing the grease from there hands on there apron im a regular customer here this was highly unacceptable I don’t think I’ll be returning to that happy donuts again , food is over priced and proper cleaning safety is lacking in the kitchen and they don’t pay attention to your order and will and will tell you in a rude way.
I LOVE the food here, but I'm not eating it anymore after today. Came for breakfast this morning and found a literal metal wire in my eggs that I had to fish out of my mouth. I was really jarred and scared thinking I almost swallowed it. To make things worse there were literal tiny, tiny children eating breakfast in the dining room at the same time. They almost certainly would have choked and then there would be a serious problem for this place. I don't know HOW a tiny metal wire could even get into my eggs without someone noticing. DO NOT EAT HERE if you value your safety, unless you're willing to be very cautious about what you swallow I guess... EDIT: To the owner, SO CLOSE, it's actually a review from someone who found dangerous debris in their breakfast and wants someone to know so it doesn't happen to anyone else. Hope that helps.
