We just visited the new spot, and out of all the options, we decided to give this place a try. We had the chicken Alfredo and butternut squash—though I wish they had mushrooms instead of the squash. Still, the pasta was incredibly authentic and delicious! It's probably the best Alfredo I’ve had, especially with that little bit of red sauce. The owner was also really nice, which made the experience even better. I’d definitely go back!

This place is not to be missed! It truly brings an authentic taste of Italy to our small town in San Juan Capistrano!!! I stumbled across this in the new River Street Market's dining hall, there are a ton of food options from ice cream to sushi.... in the middle there is a small pasta stand called Pastalia and my kids were hungry and they had quick/easy options. I tried their bolognese and let me tell you... hands-down one of the best I've ever tried. Everything is fresh. The pasta is handmade. All the raviolis/gnocchi are made there with high-quality ingredients. I have been back 2x, the owner (I need to say hi and meet you) is so hard working and his passion for the food really is obvious. Their pizza was incredible, I can't wait to work my way through more of their menu!!!

Pastalia in San Juan Capistrano is an absolute gem! The pizza was perfectly cooked with a crispy crust, fresh mozzarella, and flavorful tomatoes and basil. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Great prices for the portion sizes too. Definitely one of the best Italian spots in the area — I’ll be coming back regularly!

Paid parking lot or limited free parking towards the train tracks. Bonus: lots of other restaurants around the food hall and ample space for large parties in the open, grassy area. Fettuccini Alfredo with Chicken is always a hit. Prosciutto Arugula pizza was very good. Build your own pasta is an easy option too.

If you love amazing flavors and authentic Italian food, this is absolutely the place to be! Honestly, after traveling the California coast from Los Angeles to San Francisco and even Las Vegas, I’ve never had a lunch as delicious as the one I had here. The owner and his team are true professionals—outstanding quality and service. Hats off to them! Five stars all the way. Once you eat here, you won’t even crave Mexican food anymore. Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely be coming back!

We love the fresh pasta here! The lemon butter ravioli was amazing and so delicious. The chicken ricotta meatballs are so good too. Every time I come to River street, I eat here because its that good so I don't care about anything else. Very reasonable pricing too. The staff was kind and food was hot and prompt. Thank you Chef!

We had the spaghetti with red sauce and chicken meatballs it took like 7-10 min to get our food. My son love it an I could really taste the natural ingredients. The Tiramisu was 10/10 sooo good!!! We went on a Tuesday arround 3:30pm and it wasn’t busy at all.

Great location at River Walk in San Juan Capistrano. Their Pasta is fresh and excellent, raviolis, tortellini and torteloni are generously stuffed. Eat it there and then take some home uncooked for an elegant easy dinner. We freeze it and cook it later. He generally offers me a free tasting with my purchase. I’ve been back multiple times.

This food establishment has the best service and the food is excellent. We went to the brand new open area that San Juan Capistrano just opened with multiple restaurants. This place is in a mall like area with multiple vendors from multiple cuisines. This place stood out because it seemed to be one of the busiest so we gave it a try. Hands down the service is the best. The young lady who works the front is extremely helpful and will make suggestions on and off the menu tailored to your taste. For example, we were there when the mall was extremely busy. I noticed this place was unusually busy. Yet even thought they were very buay, the help went out of their way to make us comfortable, including throwing a bottle of water in the freezer for us to cool it down and bring it to our table outside the food court. No one’s ever done this for us before we were so impressed But back to the food. It was creamy rich and tasty, downright delicious. As you can see, I do a lot of reviews on restaurants, but hands-down this place is my favorite.

Amazing gluten free pasta! We stopped by for lunch and loved our rigatoni pasta. We’ve tried a ton of gluten free pastas and this is one of the best we’ve ever had. Owners are super nice and care about the food quality and interactions. Highly recommend.

We went there two days in a row because it was sooooo good and the man who worked there remembered us and treated us so kindly and really went the extra mile in helping us. The pasta is amazing and one of the best pastas I have ever had. Very comparable to actual pasta from Italy. I tried the pizza as well and it had such great flavors! We are making this place one of regulars because it’s so amazing and the service was wonderful!

The dough was soggy, the sauce likely came from a can, the pepperoni was undercooked and the cheese tasted like plastic. We were starving and couldn’t finish it; which by the way is small and will cost you around $20. We will not come back.
