Es y buen lugar para turistear, la entrada cuesta $100, hay un museo con un poco de la historia de este lugar, las artesanías están a buen precio, aunque el lugar te da la impresión de que está un poco abandonado, no tiene muchos turistas.

Lugar referente de la cultura Tolteca que a pesar de tener gran extensión, la zona arqueológica mostrada es pequeña, aún así, es recomendable hacer recorrido con guía para entender mejor los sitios arqueológicos. Hay estacionamiento sin costo, un museo y venta de artesanías en el camino hacia el templo donde están los Atlantes, que es lo más destacado del lugar y vale la pena conocer. En general buena experiencia ya que el lugar está bien trazado y cuidado aparte de contar con variedad de plantas y árboles por lo que también se considera Parque Los domingos la entrada es gratis para nacionales

El lugar esta bien cuidado, la vegetación es impresionante y esperemos siga así. Los domingos no cobran la entrada. Con amplio estacionamiento y gratuito. En general agradable de visitar. Las artesanías que ahí venden están ligeramente más caras que si las Compras en el centro de la ciudad. Existen guías turísticos locales de precios y calidades variables.

Bonita zona arqueológica el costo por persona es de $105 hay un museo el cual nobrepstean el horario tiene un letrero que cierran 3:30 pm la sorpresa es que era las 2:40 pm y ya estaba cerrado pedí que nos dejarán entrar ya que el museo es pequeño lo cual nos dijeron que lo estaban limpiando. Al final nos dejaron pasar pero por qué insistí que íbamos de la CDMX . Personal muy grosero y con caras , visitamos el museo en Martes 3 de febrero

Es una zona arqueológica bastante interesante, si te gusta mucho la cultura, y la historia no te aburre contrata un guía, porque la visita se vuelve aún más interesante y divertida. Aldo fue nuestro guía y nos sorprendió con los detalles, además nos tomó excelentes fotos.

De fácil acceso. Pequeño, pero no por eso deja de ser interesante la historia del lugar. Se pueden admirar también bellos paisajes.

Vale mucho la pena visitar este lugar, uno de los más importantes epicentros de nuestra cultura. Si van le sugiero que busquen al guía de turistas de nombre Aldo, excelente expositor, es un apasionado de su tema y sobre todo conocedor, logra transmitir su conocimiento de forma amena, clara y completa.

The walk to the actual ruins is about another 10 minutes after entrance. The five stars is mainly because this is the first site i visited in mexico that had interesting explanations at each building in both spanish and english, and clearly marked paths. Entry is 210mxn. There are dogs

Great archeological site to visit that’s about 1.5 hours outside the city. There’s lots of beautiful cacti, flowers, plants, insects, and birds. Makes for a peaceful walk to the pyramids. The Toltec statues are amazing and you get a magnificent view from the top of the pyramid. FYI- the only restroom they have is at the entrance so be sure to go there before walking to the pyramids.

A fair walk down a dirt road, flat walk. Get some water lol. Small shops on the walk to the ruins. You can also get a tour guide for about 400 pesos. It’s 100 pesos to get in.

Awesome place to visit. Read about it ahead of time to get the background as they only have Spanish tours. They say Sundays are not good to visit as it's free entry for Mexicans, but I visited on Sunday as my schedule could not be changed. I got here at 9 when they opened and was able to visit the columns without anyone around. By the time I got to other areas the columns area was packed, so come early. I really enjoyed it.

Wonderful collection of desert plants and trees - that alone worth the visit. The ruins are in excellent condition - much of it restored. It is compact enough that you can throughly explore it.

Short walk if nonstop. As of April 2024 the museum portion is closed due to a strike. Along the way to the pyramid site, there are paths of different giant cactuses and native trees. There are vendors along the path selling souvenirs, typical garments etc. The ruins cover a small area, so the walk is short. You can buy refreshments at the entrance and sun hats with the vendors.

A very interesting site to visit. The ruins are a walk of about 500 meters or so, but level and well marked. There were vendors along the way with interesting trinkets, but NO water...bring a water bottle with you as there is little shade. The signs along the way are very informative. Plan on an hour and a half or so. You climb up the pyramid to see the statues...

Not very big, but very well preserved ruins of the Totlec empire. You can walk up the pyramid to see the big statues of the Toltec warriors. It is about 1 km walk from the entrance to the ruins, but the walk is very pretty and you pass some vendors along the way selling keep-sakes and shirts and stones. Bring some water and a hat and sunglasses, or an umbrella for the walk. Only 90 pesos to get in. But the museum was closed when we went. Overall a great experience.

90 pesos is the admission fee. It is free for Mexican residents on Sundays. We were able to walk through most of the ruins, including climbing to the top of one pyramid to see the atlantes. Several infopanels helped interpret the site, and are in both Spanish and English. Numerous vendors line the path from thr parking lot to the site.

It is a good place for walking around, see the local tree(mostly cactus), birds and small spieces. It is also an archaeology site of Totec culture. It is quite pity that the musium is not open when we visit and there are not much information in the archaeology area. The entrance fee is 90 mexico peso each person, applied to foreigner only.

This is a very important Toltec site and I was very disappointed to find the museum closed. This was my second visit to the site and I was looking forward to viewing the collection of artifacts I had seen there before. We also enjoy the extensive native plant collection. Will that still be maintained? Where has the funding gone to support this facility?? How sad to see local vendors missing out on income as well as the technical support staff.

If you like history than it is a place for you. Marvellous and unique structures. Friendly , helpful stuff around and relaxing atmosphere due to de flora on site. The only critic i have that we missed a sitemap after entering the area. We were a bit worried about to find the correct pass. Behind the ticket office i found the cleanest toilets with soap and paper and paper towels in whole Mexico. Amazing cleaning stuff! Big yes and thank you for them!

This place is so amazing, not well known by tourist. We arrived to the bus terminal Capu and got a taxi to the site. We enjoyed this place because it's one of the few pyramids you can climb up to and once you are on the top you can see the 4 top warriors ( Atlantes de Tula). Magical Place.

Es una zona que seguramente en un tiempo pasado estuvo mejor. Hoy luce en franco deterioro en sus instalaciones, como museo y salas de trabajo, en lo que respecta a las "ruinas" es muy interesante sobre todo ver esos 4 atlante formados en bloques de piedra con lujo de detalle

Es un lugar lleno de historia y cultura, rico en fauna y flora. Posee un museo donde se puede aprender más acerca de la Cultura Tolteca de Tula (Tollan) y observar los alrededores desde Los Atlantes. Le doy 4 estrellas porque está descuidado desde mi última visita hace 8 años. "La Zona" tiene mucho más que ofrecer, hay que darle la debida atención. Visiten y enriquezcan su conocimiento con tan bello lugar.

Muy bonito lugar y lleno de cultura. Lo que falta es mantenimiento a las piramides y tener un acceso libre. De igual forma realizar podas para ver animales, en especifico a las serpientes.

Went on a Sunday and everything was pretty calm and accessible was easy, parking lot is medium sized. Access to one pyramid to climb. 🇲🇽 Llegamos un domingo y estuvo muy tranquilo y accesible, el estacionamiento es mediano. Solo hay un acceso a una pirámide y los demás puedes verlos de cerca pero no se puede escalar. 🌷para nosotros fue GRATIS la entrada el domingo. For us the entrance was FREE on Sunday.

Definitivamente es un lugar hermoso, con mucha historia ❤️ Recomiendo llevar agua y protección solar porque en días soleados el sol pega con todo. Definitivamente hace falta que agregen más cédulas para que los visitantes puedan leer más sobre el sitio y entender lo que están viendo. Además de que amplíen y den más mantenimiento no solo al museo de sitio, también a la zona arqueologica que está llena de hierbajos creciendo entre las estructuras, deteriorando el patrimonio. Además de que la zona es mucho más amplia y estaría excelente que se le brindara más presupuesto para rescatar las estructuras circundantes. Le pongo solo 4 estrellitas por eso, pero definitivamente es un lugar muy interesante que debes conocer si vienes a México ❤️

Excelente lugar para visitar, muy bello, los cactus y las zonas arqueológicas. Bellísima vista para fotografiar y detenerse a contemplar la naturaleza en su esplendor. Nos habían dicho que entre semana era gratis, y fines cobraban; todo lo contrario, de lunes a sábado cobran la entrada $100 por adulto y los domingos es entrada gratis. El único detalle es que la persona que te atiende en donde dan los boletos es un poco antipático, la vdd es algo incomodo pero fuera de eso todo muy bello. Pareciera que el lugar no tiene vigilancia y se ve muy solo, pero bien cuidado. Los vendedores de recuerdos muy buena onda 👌🏻

Se encuentran interesantes restos arqueológicos restaurados hace ya mucho tiempo, actualmente no hay excavaciones, restauración y el lugar se encuentra sin mantenimiento, el INAH no le aporta un solo peso. A pesar de ello, es gratificante caminar por sus ruinas, el ambiente es muy agradable y placentero gracias a quienes ahi laboran, a sus guias y a quienes venden sus artesanias a precios muy accesibles y de buena manufactura.

Como Todo sitio arqueológico es una chulada 😍 Pero, le falta un montón de información ℹ️ aquí es donde se deberían de lucir el INAH y los arqueólogos y se nota que no les interesa mucho, cero contextos en las piezas y pirámides El lugar está bien cuidado pero puede estar mejor.

The quality of maintenance of the Archaeological Zone and the museum has deteriorated substantially due to the lack of work tools for the staff, security employees and lack of investments by INAH and the manager of the site. As of end of 2024, The museum is still partly closed due to lack of investment and disappearing antique objects. The worker's union strike is only a reaction to these politics. The staff demands the re-opening of the museum in its full size. The State of Mexico is not only letting go to waste its historical treasures,it seems it is out-selling them! You can climb 2 pyramids although one will soon be grown over by plants if the maintenance stays as bad as it is. During off-season, depending on the material, sculptures up to 10cm are sold from only 10 pesos, sculptures up to 30cm for only 20 pesos. They have a lot of different kinds of souvenirs and clothes and you can bargain a very cheap price. I give Tula 4 stars despite the bad management because it is totally worth the visit. Majestic sculptures, beautiful temples and nature. If you are physically impaired, it is hard to walk about 1.5 km from the parking until the main temple. In a wheelchair,it will be possible,it's not steep, but very rocky and shaky.

We had a wonderful visit. They provided most of the information boards in English which really helped my kids and I out trying understand what each structure was. The staff was very friendly. I would love to come back when the museum is opened. There was a nice walk before the structure with a few vendors posted on along the way. It was nice to buy a few memorabilia for my kids.

La capital Tolteca se alza imponente en lo alto del cerro, desde donde se domina a la actual tula de allende. Sus atlantes que vigilan el paso del tiempo, y donde el sol, el viento y el agua son sus inseparables compañeros, visitar la zona arqueológica es una de las visitas obligadas que se realizan al visitar hidalgo. Con un valor histórico insuperable es parte de la cultura y riqueza mexicana.

The experience of walking among the buildings of this ancient civilization is amazing, however, it's very sad that the government reduced the budget that this area had to operate, the facilities are old and almost crumbling down. There are two museums that had awesome pieces of history and they are now closed since 4 years ago. There are sings of workers who are still fighting for a full opening of this archeological area. Bathrooms were surprisingly clean, although they are very old too. There are only bathrooms the entrance, so you may want to take precautions, since the whole walkthrough will take longer than 45min. Inside, there are many vendors who sell cheaper objects than in other places. It has a lot of history, but it's no Teotihuacán. On Sundays is free, the usual fee is 90 pesos. I suggest to pay for a guide, since the information on site is very little. A 30pesos handout is also recommended, so you can read more about the history of this ancient civilization.
