Go to Korean restaurant for jaajanmein, jambon and tangsuyuk
So good service and food.
Quick and tasty Korean fusion Chinese food.
A good quick noodle and sweet and sour fix.
Typical fast food. Love it.
Great casual dining here. Black bean noodle dish is superb. Great tea and bakery next door too
Decent price, huge portions, made to order, simple setting. They have bumped up their prices since opening.
I like champong noodle this restaurant. Put lot of seafood, meat, vegi but price is incredibl. Spicy food lover must try this restaurant!
Their food is fantastic. Very authentic. The staff is welcoming. Will be back.
Wow!! This place is sooo good! Their noodles are amazing! Perfect place for a cheat meal!
My favorite Korean style Chinese restaurant! Very very fast service!
Okay price Okay taste Okay quality Okay service. Good location
This is for sure my favorite black bean noodles spot
I think this is the best restaurant for jjajangmyun so far
Best jajangmyeon i ve ever tried <3
A big Korean-Chinese fusion restaurant chain. That might sound confusing, then think of MexCali or TexMex; its Korea's interpretation of chinese food which is loved by koreans. As a korea. I was so glad to see that it exists here in the states. It tastes just like ones in korea which exists in every neighborhood. Good price and good food. Facility and staff may look ghetto but that makes it even more authentic.
We have been craving Korean food mainly soups and this is the place is to be. I can't even pronounce the names so I just order by number 🤣😂. Very highly recommended!!
This place is so good, and I love the out door seating. There's only a handful of items in the menu but this place is still popular af. Wish we had one in norcal.
Definitely my favorite place to have Jjajangmyeon and Jjajangbab. Tang su yuk is really decent too. Jjajangbab comes w Jjambbong soup which is filled w veggies, squid and pork pieces.
The dough is made fresh and the noodles are stretched to order. The broth is delicious. You won't find anything else like it in the area.
Awesome place and great pricing. I always get the "Jang-PPong" - which is seafood noodle with the deep fried and pork and of course the sweat and sour sauce
My family and I like the food here rather than any other same chains because of the quality of their food. We keep coming here every time we feel like having Korean style noodles. It costs a little bit more than the ones I had been to in Korea, but still good for the living standard here in America is higher than Korea as well
Simple and tasty. That’s Paik’s concept I believe. Not sure why this location is not called Hong Kong Banjum but menu is same. Maybe because this location is self serve? Anyways it’s same food. Didn’t order jjamppong today because it was too hot today. Never disappoints. Highly recommend. This is Korean style Chinese food.
It was really good! I ordered the jajangmyeon and spicy wings, and they were both super tasty for a decent price. The service was also very kind as well. The noodles were chewy, had a great flavor, and came with pickled yellow radishes - so, so good. The wings were also SUPER crispy and fresh- would recommend and definitely come back!
This place is so yummy! It’s a hole in the wall but my family and I always come here. Service is great and food tastes so delicious. Never missing out
First time having jajangmyeon here. It’s a Korean noodle with black sauce. Gotta say this gave me very good impression of Jajang-style Korean food. The service was very quick. You get pickled radish in every dish. It feels like food court style ordering. Totally recommend!
When I crave jjajangmyeon, Paik's Noodle in Buena Park is always my first choice. After visiting many times, I can confidently say they have the BEST jjajangmyeon in town. Highly recommended! This time, I also tried jjampong (spicy noodle soup with pork, squid, mussels, and vegetables). It's perfect for spicy food lovers. For entrees, I loved their sweet & sour pork and chili shrimp. Both were flavorful and crunchy. Overall, they serve generous portions, perfect for sharing, and everything is delicious. Hope you enjoy!
The food here is full of spices and the flavor is immaculate. They give the best service and the plates are huge enough for two people. There menu is a bit limited, but the quality and taste of each one is fabulous! 10/10
Food was so good, portions are fair for the price. I’ll come back for sure.
Not sure why this place is rated 3.5/5 on Yelp, both times I passed by they were super busy. Even arriving at an odd time (around 2pm – weekday) to give them a try, the tables were filled. Ok a first timer here, I was a bit overwhelmed – what do I do? Where do I stand? What do I order? Plan ahead and scan the menu before arriving at the restaurant – I know there is this thing with Koreans they ask are you team jjajangmyeon or team Jjamppong? Which is odd because both noodle dishes vary different in style and flavor. jjajangmyeon –Chines-Style Korean noodle dish topped with a thick sauce made of chunjang, diced pork, and vegetables. Jjamppong – a Chinese-style Korean noodle soup with red, spicy seafood- or pork-based broth flavored with gochugaru. If you can’t pronounce the names, then say the number of the dish – pay and they give you a number. I really do enjoy spice and I know I would love them both unfortunately, I have a slight shellfish allergy so I haven’t even tried Jjamppong. Although I did come with my partner and encouraged her to try the soup, she decided on Bokkeummyeon instead. The jjajangmyeon was very good and flavorful, yes as most say the portion is enough for 2. I also tried a bit of the Bokkeummyeon, although good it was a bit too salty for me. Overall, I would highly recommend this spot if you are in the area and want to try something new!
I was in the area, going to Hmart. Saw this place and realized it was one of Judge Paik's, from Culinary Class Wars, restaurants!! Had to try it. Always love Jajangmyeon so wanted that, they had a spicy version with chile. We kept seeing people with this fried dish, it was sweet and sour pork! They were both amazing 👏 🤩 this is food you will be craving! Always hits 🔥 Besides the parking in this shopping area being crazy it still worth it 😊
I really enjoyed eating the jajang-myeon here and I would definitely recommend. I also had the chile shrimp and they were just perfect and the spice level was perfect for me and my family. Definitely would recommend this place.
A great place for students, it’s filling and not crazy pricey. The food comes out hot and fresh and it’s just consistently good. A nice place to take friends or family for a quick bite.
Good Korean Chinese comfort food. Clean and self service restaurant. Get in before noon to beat the lunch traffic. Specializing in spicy noodle soup and black bean paste noodles. Quick no frills place - i recommend it for a quick lunch

My family's go-to for jjajangmyeon! Out of all the Paik's Noodles/Hong Kong Banjum locations I think this one makes jjajangmyeon the best. Always super quick and really really yummy. Not to mention they aren't stingy with the pickled radish!
I love this place! I usually go for jjangmyun either regular or spicy and it's always consistent but unfortunately service, usually it is great but it's not consistent where one time the cashier is smiling and suggesting other items but sometimes I can sense the cashier wants me to rush and decide when there was no one behind me. So overall I like this place, also just a teeny suggestions if I may add is if they can have some sort of kimchi either with regular cabbage or Napa cabbage. ☺️
This place serves some of the best jajangmyeon I've ever had. Food came out fast and were generous with the portions, I highly recommend this spot. 5/5

Too bad they don't accept credit card under $10. The price is reasonable and the food is good. Parking there is a little diificult.
It's best to get your food to go. This place was crowded when we got here. Good food though. Self serve.
hmm no jambong soup on the side when u order jja jja myun and tang soo yook...but besides dat everything good..
My family and i come here once in a while tp get good jja jang myun and jjam ppong..god price compared to other chinese restaurants.
Got to have my fix of their black bean paste noodle! Pricing is unbelievable
This is the place at Lunch , try Black(chocolet) Noodle and watching enjoy the varierty peoples like you comes and enjoying.
Parking hard to find & Jampong taste 2 salty...
Fast food service but less cashier offers
Jjajangmyun was good Jjampong was ok to eat
Paik's Noodle is in the H Mart plaza right next to 85 Degrees Bakery. It's a small eatery, but there's an outdoor patio with plenty of seatings. It's a "fast food" style restaurant. You place order and pay at the counter. When the food is ready they'll call your number to pick up the food. Dr. P ordered jjamppong - spicy noodle soup with seafood. I had a bite. It was really spicy. Jajangmyeon was very good. Love the chewy noodle with the black bean sauce. There are pork and tons of vegetables in the sauce. Great place for fast and cheap Korean noodle!
Great food! My daughters love it! Parking can be a major issue here at the wrong time. Good luck finding a spot
If you came across this restaurant because of your long wait at other restaurants like Sup or Kang Ho Dang, you'd be surprised how good the food is here. We had the spicy seafood stew and egg omelette rice with Chinese style sauce. We also had the pork dumplings. Everything was great and the portions were enormous. There isn't much seating area here so it's expected to leave and eat when it's busy (it's self-order, retrieval and seating). Would recommend increasing the AC since it was warm inside and offering cold water vs room temp water. Other than that, would return again to try their other dishes.
I like their food but they raise their prices really fast. They've been doing that a lot of times even way before the pandemic. I would still return because they have good food. However, sadly we can't afford to do so as often as before. We love your jjangmyeon and jjampong.
We had the Jajangmyeon and Soontofu Jjampoon. Both were very tasty and fresh. The Soontofu had a nice little spice kick to it. Price was fair, around $12 a person. Serving size are large. Will definitely come back.
Located next to 85 degree bakery in the same plaza as hmart and kang ho dong bbq. Parking is hard to find on the weekend but we came here on a weeknight. You order at the counter and they call your number when your order is ready. I like their jajangmyeong and tangsuyuk. The noodles are cooked perfectly - chewy and not mushy. It goes really well with the black bean sauce - which is savory and not too sweet and overwhelming. Ive gotten jajangmyeon at other places and i could never finish it because the sauce is too sweet but paiks makes it super good. The star is the tangsuyuk - order it with sauce on the side. The pork is juicy and tender but so crispy. We will definitely return!
Here is self service, so you need to order at the counter and when they call your last two digit# on the receipt you need to pick it up from the counter. HongKong BanJum which is famous for JjamBbong in S. Korea was started by JongWon Baek. There are a lot of branches in S.Korea and recently, he has been trying to expand more chains in US. The Broth for JjamBbong made by sea foods and fresh vegitables with hot peppers, so the soup has a hearty and spicy flavor. When you eat JjamBbong, try to eat with TangSuYuk which is sweet and sour pork. It would be perfect matching. There is JjaJangMyun which is black-bean-sauce noodles but it is a little bit sweet. When you want to eat spicy soup or try to relieve a hangover, please try to order JjamBbong. I 've been following hostess of this restaurant, so I know well about the history of this branch. I met her first time in food court in Freshia Market at Garden Grove a few years ago, when she opened it. I really loved to eat JjamBbong at that time. However, Freshia Market was bankrupt, so they could not continously do the business there. After that, she opened new branch at Arirang Market at Fullerton, so I started to visit there to eat JjamBbong. Finally, she opened new branch at Village Circle on Beach at Buena Park which is nearby my house and located in independent building. Anyway, I been following her to eat this delicious JjamBbong. Now I can enjoy it without any concern of closing. Try to eat JjamBbong which is spicy and delicious. You will love it when you are addicted spicy food.
Foods were okay and service was okay too

Really nice and clean location. I ordered the Black bean noodles, they were good. They do not sell drinks but they do have a vending machine inside the restaurant, and there is also a 85 bakery next door. (Seated outside by the fireplace)
Not impressed with this place. Big portions but not worth the finishing because it wasn’t even all that good. Did like the fact that you could eat outside and it was clean.
Food here is still great but they have been inching up the prices little by little all the while decreasing portion sizes.
Okay place. The lady at the counter wasn't very polite. Politeness is just common decency, isn't it?
Can't complain too much about food and ingredients. But, the cooked rice they have used was completely out of question. Sucked! They have used either old rice or cheaper brand. As a Korean-American, I am very concerned about what I eat especially when I eat rice involved dishes. If the rice is bad, whole meal seems not ok. Mr. Baik, teach this restaurant what to do😅😆..
The taste is not authentic to the original in Korea. The chain in the Arirang korean market on brookhurst and orangethorpe is better. The jja jang myun and jjam bbong is bland.
The soup and fried noodles had exactly the same ingredients. Free iced water and ginger. Quick place for a meal but nothing special. Huge portions.
The portion of the jajangmyeon was great, very filling. However, the tangsuyuk was very disappointing; it had very thick batter to hide that the meat was tiny. I will be back for the noodles, but don’t recommend the tangsuyuk.
Average taste, sweet and sour pork was less than expected.
I know Paek's place is always guaranteed for the food quality control so food is always good without deviation. Btw it was strange to see the sauce for tangsuyuk is really small in the smaller container for togo and runs out at the half are finished. They have to correct the container size for the sauce.
Tried their jajang myun and it was nothing special, just decent. It hits the spot if you’re craving it, but there’s nothing that really stands out. I also wish the jajang bap came with fried rice — that would’ve made it feel more worth it. Overall, average experience.

Came here early so had no problem with parking or customers . So we tried a variety of items from the non spicy wings, jajangmyeon, tangsuyuk, and gunmandu. Everything was a first for us , so not sure how things are suppose to taste . But for us it looked good and tasted ok . The store itself was super clean and food came out very quick . The menu would been great if they had a little explanation of what the dishes were . So now to customer service , I asked the lady at the counter if I can have a to-go box . She then gives me a container for soup , and I was trying to explain I need a box . I pointed to box and she slammed another soup container . I had 3 dishes to put and didn't want them, smushed all together . So I tried to have my friend ask for a box , and she told her no . I posted the picture of my food items that I wanted to put in a box . Hopefully next time others would not have this problem , am hoping their management would speak to their employee regarding giving away to-go containers . Other than that experience, the food was ok .
I pick up Sweet and sour pork around 11:30 AM ,it was very very hard .... Maybe left over from the previous day. I will be imbarrassing to sell this kind of food to customers.
As with many other restaurants during Covid-19, the quality of service and taste of dishes at this place has diminished quite a bit. If you have to eat here I would stick to the basic jajiangmen and jjampong which are quite average in taste. I ordered Jajiangmen rice and they served me quite horrible rice and the soup on the side was not fresh and cooked down to be too salty. I would avoid this outlet and try the place in Hannam Supermarket food court that is across the road.
We visited here multiple times, however, today we got diarrhea after eating Jajangmyeon. The food quality here is not stable.
My wife and I tried this place on a whim because the nearby restaurants (Sup and BaekJeong) were packed. We ordered the Tangsuyuk and the Jajangmyeon, both of which were a little disappointing — especially considering the price. Paying $30 for subpar food was tough. But it didn't help that we were the only customers in the small joint and had to wait longer than expected for the food. To make matters worse, they gave us tiny cups (like 4oz each) for water and were being stingy with napkins. Combined, all these factors didn't make for the best dining experience. Was it horrible? No. Were the workers nice? Yes. But will we return? No.
Last evening was the worst meal I've ever had at this place. Chef must be sleeping. We've been here before many times, but yesterday was totally different. Ordered BOKKUM noodle and sweet and sour pork. Sauce for noodle was too sweet and there wasn't much of vegetables. Sweet and sour was too sweet, no sour taste. S&S sauce was so thick, chopsticks were able to stand still, too much starch. I thought in the Army, they used to starch pants hard so it could stand by itself. NO kidding. It was terrible yesterday.
Tried the Jajanmen, spicy seafood noodle, and sweets & sour pork. After watching the Netflix Korean chef competition, we wanna see if the restaurant owned by the judge Paik is any good. Result is quite disappointing as everything tastes average and nothing special. The spicy seafood noodle soup has no flavor but only spice. However, the portion is generous and the price is reasonable. Unless you still want to try something new, maybe fried pork(without sweet and sour sauce) is worth a try

I really dislike when customers are very entitled but this restaurant, come on man… if a customer requests for something, unless it is absolutely not possible why not just comply with their request? Why argue and say it won’t be good. Got my food and as soon as I get it, I see the soup leaking. Workers are rude as well.
I ordered some 짜장면 and fried chicken. The noodles were great. However, the friend chicken wings were raw. Half of the chicken were raw. It was very pink and was severely undercooked. They weren't even busy at the time either to rush my order. Unless you want Salmonella, do not order their chicken.
They’ve got people dining and lingering around inside with no masks
Very poor customer service. Ordered a couple of items, asked for assistance in figuring out what items are called. Got home and one item is wrong. Called them but they refused to make things right for me. I’m one dissatisfied customer. Not going back here.
That was the worst jja Jang myung and jjambbong I've ever tasted. Jja Jang myung had nasty pork smell and jjambbong tasted like salted pepper water.. definitely stay away from this place.. horrible
taste is getting worse but price was increased. why they charge $1 for togo containers? it was supposed be free.
Cashier old lady very rude and annoying. She shouldn't work. I had worst experience.. bad👎service..
The food was good but the staff were rude and they barely talked
This branch owner tries to save money on noodles. The portion of noodles in the black bean noodle dish is much smaller than at any other branches. There are many Chinese-Korean restaurants around this area, but it looks like they have given up competing with others. They need to watch Baik's new episode. https://youtu.be/mSACOKgkc3U?si=fAExuKdBkSyfJys_
If have 0 star, I will give 0 star. The lady on the counter is very very very rude to the all clients. I heard she said the take out client he request one more chopstick, and she said why don't mention when you order? very rude and loud voice. And the table is very very dirty-looks like never cleaning. I try to clean up 5 times with wet towel and still not clean and when I use rest room I saw lots of Rotches inside bath room. This is totally mass up. I never go this restaurant again. Very disappointed. Usually before Covid 19, this restaurant was my favorate but not any more. Looks like new ownership Food taste changed.
Don't even bother coming here unless you're Asian. Otherwise you'll be blown off or won't be prioritized. The food is great, but the service is third world country. Even their delivery people are ignored. How sad.
Don't dine here. please. I did nothing wrong. It unilaterally demanded a halt without warning or explanation. I have never broken a promise. Too bad I can't sleep.
I don't remember the last time I left any restaurant without finishing my meal. I don't think I ever did that until today. This was my meal and that how I left. It was so salty that it was not edible. I added a cup of hot water, but still salty. It had good amount and variety of ingredients, but broth was horrible. This is my favorite dish when I go to Korean Chinese restaurants. It is impossible to mess up this bad. Maybe Mr Paik should visit these restaurants in SolCal.
It used to be great… but not anymore. I understand they’re busy, but the food tasted terrible this time. The jjamppong was overly salty, and the jjajangmyeon was way too greasy. I’ve always loved the tangsuyuk, but the portion was disappointingly small. I’ve decided not to come back. :/
I ordered food to go for my family the person lady on the phone was really rude i ordered Jjamppong and ot had no taste not enough noodle portions very small watery I also tangsuyuk friedporkmeat was hard no good and no taste flavor I don't recomend this restaurant save your money and order from other restaurant and they charger for the boxes yo go which they look like marketing boxes from HMart.
The cashier just blew her nose in front of me but never washed her hand and then proceeded to handled our spoons and dishes. Very disgusting. I will never back to this place again ever.
people will stop coming back if you start being cheap. Your price is increasing, but the portion of noodle is getting smaller. I’m switching to kyodong noodle because I can share one order with two.
My wife and children went their to have lunch. My 10 year old daughter ordered her favorite jia jang myun with extra reddish. She didn’t finish her meal and instead of throwing it away she chose to take it home. When she asked the front counter lady for a lid for the reddish, her response to my daughter was “ why did you order extra if you weren’t going to finish it” My daughter felt so ashamed after hearing this ladies obnoxious comment. Talking to a child in this manner is unacceptable. I will meet with you and the owner of your restaurant very soon!
I used to be a regular here, visiting once or twice a week when I first discovered it. Sadly, after a few months away, my visit today (2/9/2026) was a major letdown. The tangsu-yuk was gummy and chewy rather than crispy (without the sauce); since I live less than 5 minutes away, I know it wasn’t a travel time issue. The jajangmyeon has also changed—the portion is smaller, but more importantly, the sauce lacked the signature sweet, salty, and smoky 'fire' taste it used to have. I’ve remained a loyal customer despite the recent franchise controversies because the food was that good, but the quality just isn't there anymore, making the price point much harder to justify.
