What a gem in the middle of the desert! Another hit recommendation by our hotel host that, like all the rest, was absolutely amazing. My husband said the Americano was the best he's had and my Chunky Monkey smoothie was such a treat, it tasted more like a milk shake dessert than smoothie and I absolutely loved it! Hubby ordered the Croque Senor white I enjoyed the avocado toast which I shamelessly devoured with their house made salsa macha (of which I bought a jar to bring home as well). As with nearly every experience so far, warm and wonderful hospitality and service alongside some of the freshest and most delicious food we've ever had. And who can resist the monster logo?! We will absolutely be back again and again! (Guys, it's so good, we went twice in just the 1 week we were in town! 🤤)

Delicious coffee! We had capuchinos and aside from the coffee beans being high quality and not over roasted, the milk to coffee ratio was perfect. We shared the waffles and avocado toast which was a perfect blend of savory and sweet. The flavors of the waffle and acabado toast were very unique and we will be back again while in town

Best breakfast we have found in Cerritos. Amazing coffee. They really pay attention to details and ingredients. Instead of doing a big menu with mediocre execution, they do a few things really well. Also people there are super lovely! Go out of your way for this one!

Its an amazing Cafe in the middle of the desert and on the main road to Cerritos beach. The owners and workers are friendly, welcoming and locally knowledgeable. This cozy little spot has a cool views and a nice breeze. There were surf boards and apparel available for those looking to surf or get a memory to take home and wear. There is also a real estate office lounge that looks and feels like a cool modern hangout behind the Cafe. Same Same But Different also has a Hotel up the road. Definitely worth the 5 minutes from freeway and beach to stop by.

I’ve been to many countries and have had countless servings of avocado toast, from Asia, Australia, and throughout the USA, and the one I had this morning at Same Same but Different is the absolute best. A must try!!! Plus the latte was perfectly blended, strong, and tasty. What a find!

I ate at the restaurant three days in a row and was continually impressed with the food, service and atmosphere. I was exceptionally impressed on the last day when I asked the server about getting an Uber to Cabo and they showed me how and where to take the bus instead. I was so lucky to stay at an airbnb 100 steps from this awesome cafe!! Can't wait to come again :)

Same Same But Different is a standout spot in Todos Santos. Excellent coffee using Mexican beans, killer smoothies (Chunky Monkey hits like a milkshake), and an avocado toast that actually lives up to the hype. The space has a relaxed, surf-meets-work vibe with fast Wi-Fi and thoughtful design. Menu’s tight but everything’s dialed. No decaf, but what they serve, they serve well. Solid choice for early mornings or a laid-back work session.

This may have been the best breakfast I have had. The sauce was incredible and the poached eggs were perfect. The gentleman that took my order was very kind and helped me learn some Spanish, which I was hoping for on the trip. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

Probably the best place to get a coffee and do some work in the Cerritos area. Nice open air indoor seating area as well as an outdoor seating area. The matcha and the dirty chai we're excellent. To the owner, it's important to update your Google page and list this as a cafe or restaurant and not a hotel. If you have a accommodations available you should list the cafe separately. Almost all the questions here are related to an accommodation rather than a cafe but all of your reviews are related to your cafe. Google is very important so I highly recommend updating. You have a nice place and you want people to know what it is.

The food was so good here, my coffee came with a few animal crackers which was great for my toddler daughter. The people working gave us a few extra when they saw how much she loved them. It was a such a nice act of random generosity, even if it was just animal crackers. Small acts of kindness mean a lot in the world.

Delicious spot for breakfast. We tried the famous avocado toast and it did not disappoint. I'm vegetarian so end up eating a lot of avocado toast, and normally am not super excited about it because it's always the same, but the caramelized peanuts and peanut/pepita chili oil on this one made it unique and delicious. We also tried the chunky monkey chocolate peanut butter smoothie with an espresso shot and it was amazing. Great space with nice views, and a great relaxed vibe.

Came here twice during the day - ordered the well talked about avocado toast and it was one of the best I have ever had! The cheese and chili oil added a whole new layer of flavor that I had never experienced with the avocado - sweet, savory and wonderful textures! The best soy latte I have ever had in my life served in a lovely mug keeping it warm and delicious. We came here on vacation, first time to Mexico, and met some locals here who shared suggestions about the area. The food was equally great. We tried avocado toast, tomato tart, waffles and the chunky monkey smoothie. Every bite was enjoyed. The location was easy to find and sitting and enjoying the view was a great addition to our trip.

Avocado toast and latte were scrumptious! Be prepared to wait about 30 minutes for your food though.

Wonderful service, very good espresso, and decent food. The croque senior and tomato tart both had wonderful flavor combinations (Baba ghanoush and mustard on a tomato tarte!) However, the bread was soggy and tart crust was undercooked. They obviously care and put a lot of work into the coffee and the food. We will definitely come back for coffee and to try something else or perhaps these on a different day.

So hate to be a wet towel but the coffee was burned/bitter/undrinkable and the avocado toast was a version with crunchy caramelized peanuts making it sweet. Very “different” for sure. Hopefully the other dishes are delicious. But service is friendly and views are good.

Same, Same was a little tricky to find, about 8 minutes up the road from our Cerritos Beach hotel. Avocado toast appeared to be the most popular item on the menu. Thought it was a little local spot, but after logging into website it's part of a larger group of real-estate, rentals, restaurants, thus the name, Same Same But Different. Open restaurant views were beautiful. Unfortunately, Cerritos and Todos Santos are looking very similar to California and the majority of similar Mexico destinations being consumed by national and international buyers and investors, hiring locals to cook and work storefronts. Sad but part of growth and business. Food prices pretty much match US restaurant prices.
