Super clean, everyone was friendly, fast service and delicious tacos. My husband and I both got a steak and chicken fajita taco and both were well seasoned, throughly cooked to perfection and the veggies had the perfect cook/crunch texture. Very good, will be back!

Had a great time at Torchy’s! Chaz and Ally were awesome behind the bar — super friendly, fun, and made some killer drinks. Good vibes all around and the tacos were on point. Definitely coming back soon!

Chaz is one of the most likable and proficient servers/bartenders I’ve ever had. His professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality is second to none. What impresses me most is his ability to make every guest feel welcome, whether it is recommending a cocktail based on preferences or remembering returning customers by name. Chaz is the best and one of the reasons I return to Torchys every Friday.

First time at Torchy's! Cute place. The menu is very interesting. I had a "Trailer Park Taco" in a bowl. Fried chicken was tender and tasty! It was covered with slaw and a yummy sauce! It was just the right size and price for me! Next time, I am trying the Fried Avocado Taco!!!

Update 3: 12-1-2025 Local store responded to second form input. Returned and gave them another try. This time, everything was served quickly. --------------------------- Review 11-2025 Ordered at 5:20 Drink and chips served at 5:30 Tacos served lukewarm at 6:45 Had to go ask for the bottled water we paid for at 6:50 Bartender was attentive. This place has a staffing or training problem. I am not inclined to return. Update: Torchy's replied below and provided a link for follow-up. I filled out their form weeks ago, and haven't heard another word out of them since. It just seems like a hollow gesture since no one followed up.

The food is almost always really good. The service is mostly not but Jessica was great today, usually the people who bring out our food seem unhappy and booths often need washed but tables in the middle are open. People want to sit in a booth— please wipe them down.

The first time here was good, and I will return. I got the steak fajitas taco, and the wife got the Democrat and the Republican. My steak was very tasty but too tough to be in a taco. I tasted her Democrat and the corn tortillas was awesome and so was the meat until I hit the cilantro.

Huge Torchy’s fan and I am pretty disappointed in the food here. Why? The Tacos are visibly smaller with less meat and filling. Some of the meat is fattier. Chips and tortillas are served cold instead of hot/fresh. Some hot sauce containers half filled. To go orders missing utensils and napkins in bag. Overall attention to detail and quality of the food is lower than Torchy’s locations across the state. Unfortunately the Abilene location just does not live up to the brand standards. On top of it all, food prices have risen so a single meal is $15-$25… for tacos. The equation just does not add up.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 out of 5 stars Tried out Torchy’s Tacos in Abilene, Texas, and the experience was a mix of highs and lows. I went with the shrimp salad bowl — it was decently good, but the shrimp could’ve used a bit more flavor and should’ve been cooked a little longer. Still, it wasn’t bad overall, just didn’t quite hit the mark. The service, however, was great. The to-go staff were quick and attentive — they literally brought the food right to the door as soon as I walked in, which made the whole process fast and convenient. No waiting around in line, which I really appreciated. The restaurant itself was very clean, which always makes a good impression. Plus, the to-go order was packaged really well — everything was secure and tidy, with no mess during the ride home. All in all, it was a decent visit. With a little more attention to the flavor and texture of the shrimp, this could easily bump up to a 4-star experience.

Slow service, bartender was cashier and had a full bar. Tables dirty, dirty floors, both sweet and unsweet tea empty. Food came out fairly quickly but was not hot/just barely warm. Trash overflowing, dirty trays stacked up at trash area.

Update: Again, food was tasty, but again it wasn't hot. And again, it wasn't busy. One of my tacos was slightly warm, but the other was stone cold. Server was great and brought me a replacement, but it was only room temperature, not even warm. Not being snarky, but maybe this is the norm for Torchy's, and everyone else is good with that - maybe it's just me who likes hot food. Either way, I don't think I'll return. Original: Food was tasty, but it wasn't hot. Surprised me because it wasn't busy. Jessica at the counter was very helpful and pleasant.

Ordered lunch for delivery for our business since it’s our busiest day of the year. They left part of the order off and when we called we were told we would have to come in and pick it up. If we wanted to pick up lunch, we wouldn’t have requested delivery. I had to leave my business short staffed with a line of customers to go retrieve the missing part of our order.

No queso, even though I ordered it. And the fajita plate tasted good but it was heavy on the beans and pretty light on the rest of the sides. I could’ve gotten more rice if I just got rice on the side. Not worth the price to me. But the flavor is good!! Mad cuz I never got my queso, and hopefully they quit being stingy on the sides.

They replaced their cashier with a self service ordering kiosk. Unfortunately its horrible and not user friendly. There wasn't a person to assist us, so we left. I would also like to point out that I am competent and use technology easily. I will never go back.
