Today, The SanSteam crew took their lunch break on location. What that means is, Jim & Kristian were elected to go grab lunch. I haven't been to this sonic in a while but it's always been a favorite of mine. "Happy Hour" in the morning, Great Food & Great smiles have always kept me coming back here, when time allows it. Today was a bit different because we didn't, eat at sonic, we just went to grab food for the guys while we worked cleaning educational class rooms and office buildings at the church. George didn't like his clump of mushy fries but George is a whiner anyway, everything else was great. The car hop Janna was awesome and even took time let me take her picture for this review. I didn't think to check to make sure our order was right or not and guess what, it was perfect. They know me very well at this location. I order usually the same order. I invent how i wanted it made. I call it, "The Dessaree Special". I just pull up and say, "I want the Dessaree Special". It's understood, out in a min. Very warm,friendly employees, will gladly make it right if not satified. Very shady, covered, outside place to eat. New updated nice antimated menu signs. Easy access to the rest rooms outside. Always coming around with condiments, if you need somthing. Keeps it very,very clean. Eating tables, Eating area, Driveway. This location on Hwy 377 here, is much better, more comfortable to eat outside, than the location in Acton, Tx. Hwy 4, about 5 miles down from it. It's the newer location too, in Acton,strange.

staff was courteous and friendly. the food was reasonably priced. The food was good but not really anything I would go out of my way for.

One time I saw an old man asleep in the driver seat in the car next to me with a half eaten burger sitting on his chest. Solid four stars.

Cheeseburger was hit fresh and delicious. Fries were not as great as normal. Fast and friendly service.

Food was as expected from a fast food chain. Nothing really to complain about. Tip the person that brings it to your car. Stop being a Cheap-O, it could make them smile. We could all use a smile!

Very nice setup! Of course this Sonic is set up like all other restaurants in the American food chain, nothing beats being able to order food directly from your car. I particularly love the fact that they are open until midnight, and they often have sales on slushies or meals after 8 PM. That makes it very convenient for me when I work late shifts to get a cheap yet great meal. Would totally recommend if you're just hungry for something and dont want to spend alot of money getting food.

Only complaint I have is I dont really need a entire lemon in my lemon water cause I couldnt squeeze it had to cut it up at home. Other than that they were quick, kind and had everything I ordered.

UPDATE: They've recently adjusted their chili allocation to more closely match other locations, so I'm adjusting my stars. Everyone is really sweet and they have fast service BUT... if you order chili cheese tater tots better order triple chili. They barely give a 1/4 teaspoon... far below the average Sonic serving. This is an ongoing issue.. been like this for at least the last two years. I have a photo, trying to figure out how to attach it to my review.

Great service. Ashley(who's been there for at least the year we've been in this area) is friendly, efficient, and accurate. Some of the other carhops could take lessons from her. The only reason for not giving the place five stars, is that from time to time, they do get out order wrong, or something comes out colder(or warmer) than expected. Fast food done well is what I expect, and they do a good job at this location.

The last time I ordered, it was wrong. The shake was runny and no flavor. The burger was not right. I asked for mayo and got mustard, asked for no pickles and it was full of them. I had to order because it was late and I had just left the E.R. and was hungry. Was very disappointed.

The food was good, but my order was messed up. I had gotten a sonic blast with peanut butter cups in it instead of cookie dough. Didn't notice till I got home. It's a good thing I did notice it to since I'm deathly allergic to peanuts. Overall, everything else was correct and tasted pretty good.

Most of the menu items are tasty, as fast food goes. Service can be hit or miss, but more often than not, is friendly and respectful. Atmosphere is unique compared to peers. Using the mobile app to order ahead and then picking up in a stall makes the transaction less rushed and offers the best opportunity to confirm the order accuracy before driving away.

Dropped in for a quick bite and feel very cheated . I'm sure some one ate most of my fries before they got to me.

Food is ok. It’s always hot though and usually I don’t have to wait very long. Also, they do a good job of getting the order right.

The service is good . The meat in the burgers tastes as if it has been sitting in water. Buns are stale many times. The chili cheese dogs are pretty good.

The truck next to us was running, which made ordering difficult. The screen showed the correct orde but we didn't get it all and were told we hadn't been charged. So they started a nee order. The second part came quickly but it was a hassle.

It's fast food. Nothing to see here, just what it is. This Sonic is close to my home, very close and last night I wanted some ice cream. I tried one of their Sonic Blast with Oreo. It had some cookies on top, very little throughout the glass. I added some honey to it at home and ate it. Our server was polite, service was quick, food quality ok.

Very hit or miss. Some days you sit in line for 20 minutes, others no more than 5. I've had great burgers and I've had mediocre ones. Worth the gamble but if the line is more than 4 cars, maybe look somewhere else.

Right near my house, so easy for a quick meal when cooking isn't an option. Good is alright, but this is probably the worst option for ice cream in town. All of their blasts are 98% plain ice cream with a little crumble on top, and highly overpriced. My kids are consistently disappointed when I forget this. Go to Braums or Dairy Queen instead for better for less.

Reliable place to get a quick bite. The staff is usually quick to serve. Although sometimes they do get the orders wrong, and they often forget to put napkins in your bag. I go here because the food is of reliable quality, if not the best certainly. There are generally better places to eat, but if you are in a hurry and you need a quick bite, this is an easy place to pull into ordering food and get back on the road

Went for a Dr. Pepper. Wasn't busy. Tried pushing button on one of there menus.... never got response. Backed out went through drive-thru. Took me saying, hello hello hello to get a response. Heard lot of talking and didn't see much working when I pulled up to window. 3 cars in the menu spots, nobody else in drive-thru line but me. Could have done better.

Ok Acton Sonic something has got to give! We drove through at 4:25 pm today (4/16). Who ever was working the drive through window was so mean and rude I was embarrassed that my children qitnessed her attitude. I would tell you her name but each time she opened the window she slammed it again and never spoke. It started when we ordered. She didn't know where the popcorn chicken button was on her end so she missed the entire last half of the order (her admission). Then I said it all again only at the end to hear, "K". K? What? I'm reviewing it because she didn't punch it in, so I can PAY your store. Lastly, my screen said $6.40 so I took out my wallet but was told at least double when I pulled up by ms. Happypants. I questioned it and she turned sour. No explaining, no nothing, just slammed the window closed, then opened again, no words to hand out drinks, then a bag of food to the face before a "thanks" and a slam again. I don't want to come back to your franchise. Our experience was horrible. Ms. Happypants needs to take some serious lessons in customer care from Jaime. She is the best thing you have going. Seriously.

No atmosphere as it is a drive-in only. Drinks are good and half-price during happy hour or if ordered through the app.

The sonic in Acton usually does a way better job than the one in Granbury but tonight the food was not very good. At first they messed up on our drinks but the sweet girl that brought out our food fixed it with no problem. The tater tots and fries were mushy and old tasting. I ordered onions on our coneys and nope, no onions.

Very dissatisfied with this particular Sonic store. Twice now I have not received my correct order, but unfortunately I was home before I noticed the error. The food I did get was good, but when I ordered two supreme breakfast burritos and only get two basic burritos, there's a problem. Also, we ordered two Sonic blasts and received two milkshakes in Blast cups. I'd say to carefully check your orders before you leave.

I'm not too big a fan of this place, they're always messing up my water and we have not just once but twice, gotten cheeseburgers that were cold. They have messed up my daughter's kids meal several times just not a big fan of this place. Employees aren't very friendly either and don't seem to care to be attentive to customers.

Food is what'd you expect from Sonic. No surprises. Also. If you want to order drinks from the app, show up, watch the workers eat food and soft serve after you've checked-in, and have to ask for your drinks after waiting for 10 minutes---- then this is your jam. (I have experienced great service here at times, but you're killing me smalls.)

Normally an ok experience as far as fast food goes but it's the service that hurts this place. I was there last night and it was all teenagers running things. The guy who took my order started making voices in the mic and they forgot my order. I waited in a dead parking lot for 20min. I normally mark these as "one offs" but this behavior has happened before.

This place is convenient, workers are friendly. I wish I could diet what I ordered and in a timely manner. Twice now this months something hasn't been right. I hate waisting $

So I live very close by so I ran and grabbed some dinner I was very disappointed i ordered a #5 I cant eat the fries they were either double dropped or dropped to long (in the fryer) they crumbled in my mouth like powder. The partty was way over seasoned. I dont know if they are training new people but one walked behind my car smoking a cig for his break they should wait until they cross the parking lot

Went there at 10:45 on 2/5/19 got a #7 and #1 combos. Asked for lots of catsup at the window when paying but found 3 salsa's at home. Onion rings on #1combo are burned. I have had issues with this girl not paying attention to orders.

Someone needs to tell the girls up front working the drive thru the window is not sounds proof. I could hear them talking “bad “about the customer meaning me and probably everyone else in town who knows but this is highly unprofessional. I’m a very understanding person and coming from a former carhop, I don’t think I’ll be going to this location anymore.

I used the app to order my drinks...ive done this several times and absolutely love it. Ive been very sick and today we order drinks so I can take my medicine and finish off our chores for the day. We get their NO order under my name. So I go to the Family Dollar wait...nothing...get home and it shows it was processed in my bank but they still dont have the order. I said...we can just come get the drinks but the manager wanted to give me a number to call ...im sorry but no id just like my drink order. So disappointed and exhausting over 4 drinks.

To much playing around with all the kids. Ordered icecream from Jose rang me up and a guy Adam took my money, then girl put my order by the window and it took 5 of them to decide if I paid and which one would hand it to me. This is part of the reason I don't like going to this location. Besides they aren't friendly and what ever happened to old fashioned customer service? Thank you goes a long way.

I just wish the people would follow instructions. If they can not leave the cheese off a cheeseburger then Sonic should have a hamburger listed on the menu like it used to be so I do not need to scrape the nasty cheese off the meat. And when I order unsweet tea I do not want sweet tea!

The service is always slow, this is the 2nd time I went all the way home and found out that part of my order was missing. I tried calling, but now one answered. I drove back, and the young woman with the tattoo on her neck, found that it was comical. She offered me a coupon, and snickered. I am done with this store. Take the time and drive down the road to another eatery.

Ordered 1 drink online in the app ( a route 44 vanilla dr.pepper with sweet cream) i got my drink served with attitude and it was wrong so we pressed the red button and asked for more sweet cream, they decided to remake the drink (it tasted like a normal dr.pepper) served by the same girl with more attitude, the drink was over flowing with the drink all on the sides.

I've been to this sonic maybe 5 times and each time is worse than the last. Their service is super slow, even when just ordering one drink at 6am, and I've yet get what I've actually ordered. I know I should stop going here but it's a half mile from my house and from my work. I keep hoping someone will whip that place into shape but it still hasn't happened. Even had to call corporate offices before due to over charging on my debit card. There needs to be some serious management changes or something there.

Ordered 2 breakfast burritos, waited so long ended up leaving. Won't be back.

Tater tots and ketchup.....yes I wanted ketchup because.....tater tots....I shouldn't have to ask for ketchup when I ordered tater tots I didn't ask for any.....because I never thought anyone would serve tater tots without ketchup. I had tater totts without ketchup. I didn't want lettuce, tomato, or onions on my burger that's why I ordered it without lettuce, tomato,.........or.......onions.......my burger had............lettuce........tomato........and............onions........now my car has lettuce tomato and onions in it. Other than that they were very polite and fast. I'm not angry.......anymore. have a good day Sonic employees. Remember tater totts all deserve ketchup.

This place is terrible! They NEVER get my order right. I had too change my review....I got home one night with only HALF of my order! I will NEVER go to this sonic again.....EVER! I wish them all the best and hopefully they will get employees that care and pay attention to what SHOULD be going out to customers that are spending their hard earned money at this sorry excuse for a Sonic.

HANDS DOWN THE WORST SONIC I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!!! DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! Just make the drive to Granbury sonic ITS SO MUCH BETTER! this one ALWAYS takes at least 20 mins minimum and they always get it wrong! They most workers I’ve seen there was 3! Severely understaffed!!!! I placed an order online and I got there when it said it was ready and they tried to give me someone else’s food and then proceeded to let me know that they never actually even started my order! I tried to get a refund but that was too complicated for them to even do that! Proceeded to wait another 20 mins just for my fries to be cold! I live 1 block away but will never be wasting my money here again!!!! 4 STARS IS A LIE!!! WISH I COULD GIVE 0

They consistently skimp on toppings in the sonic blast. Tonight, our order had no spoons for our ice cream and no straw for the slushie. I'll go to the one in Granbury from now on. Their sonic blast are great!

I ordered only a medium strawberry cheesecake shake, and they took probably 10 minutes, plus, when I got my shake it was only a strawberry shake. Definitely the WORST Sonic EVER.

Ordered at 12:25 pm for a 12:35 pm pickup. Food was not brought to car until 12:45 pm. Burgers luke-warm, fries cold. Took eight minutes to get out of parking lot because of drive-thru line not moving. Had tried to park in spaces away from drive-thru, but employees had all parked their cars in the shade in stalls rather than in open unshaded parking spaces. After 3 visits now resulting in the same slow delivery and luke-warm foods, I will not return and cannot recommend this Sonic to anyone.

We live about 4 miles away so it takes maaaayybe 10 minutes to get home. I am not sure why this location has so many good reviews. On a number of occasions they have left out whole meals, sides, given us the wrong order etc. Today my husband picked up 2 burgers and fries. When he got home (literally 15-20 minutes after he left) both of our burgers were cold, dry and tasted off. Our fries were ice cold... ICE COLD! Not even warm. They were dry looking like they had been fried an hour before and day out. After taking a couple bites, my husband has had upset stomach the rest of the day. I will not be going back to this location ever again. We can honestly say we've given it many chances and every time it is disappointing. I don't like to be THAT person who complains but I can't stay quiet anymore. Hopefully corporate or someone higher up will see this and maybe care. Either way, I won't be eating there again.

Around 530pm this past Monday 1/27/20... a young male carhop made my evening brighter. He simply reminded me, with his super kind and polite attitude when delivering my meal, that there still are genuinely nice people left in this world. I'm not alone and sometimes I swear I am!!!. I wish Id gotten your name so someone at your work can recognize you. All I know is you were young, fair skinned and a solid build. Not fat and not thin. Your hair was light and I beleive you wore glasses but I may be wrong. I was in a silver G6. I had a buffalo chicken bite meal with 44 Dr Pepper with cheese tots and I had added on a pretzel b4 you brought my food. You even checked in on me as I was eating. Thank you. This Sonic is horrible. I’ve never been there and ordered something that the order wasn’t wrong. They definitely need some better management. Corn dog was like it had been sitting for hours and they never get my order right if I add or take off stuff. Going to find something else for fast food. 😩

I ordered a super sonic burger with mustard no Mayo no ketchup. And chili cheese tots with onions and jalapeños. No receipt with my order. Burger was a garlic bacon burger. Chili cheese tots didn’t have onions or jalapeños. I tried to call the number that’s online for the store. Number doesn’t work. To get the issue fixed. Pretty disappointed. Looks like it’s a common problem at this location. I’ll drive to the one in granbury from now on.

Horrible!!! The worst customer service ever. I understand everyone has to start somewhere, but this establishment seems to be run by a bunch of high school kids who could care less about doing their job efficiently. We placed an order, there was a grilled cheese wacky pack missing from our order, not only did they not provide a receipt for the order, but when we placed an order and paid for the missing wacky pack, it took 25 minutes before we’d had enough of waiting. My husband finally hit the button and called up to just have the transaction reversed and get our money back. The young man over the intercom says “ oh we have your food sitting right here, you just want us to run it out?” Are you kidding!! If you had it sitting there why wasn’t it run out about 15 to 20 minutes earlier! No I don’t want your cold food.. anyways, sorry for the rant just beware of this establishment. Sometimes it’s fine but a lot of time the customer service is severely lacking.

I got a mobile order. It being a mobile order you’d expect it to be made accordingly but everything was wrong. I ordered a strawberry banana cheesecake shake and they just gave a strawberry shake. I ordered a supersonic burrito and they just gave a sausage, egg, & cheese burrito. A carhop came out and helped us but when my shake came back out I can tell that they just mixed it all back up and didn’t really remake it and the burrito was made very carelessly! I am very disappointed in my experience! Night shift has always messed up on my orders and I’m honestly over it! I wish they’d really start caring about orders or took a job seriously. I hope to see a difference or improvement. If the GM reads this then please improve! Thank you!

I’m not sure what has changed in the last year at this location, but it’s been a drastic decline in service and quality, to the point each time we go now we wait at least 15+ minutes for something as simple as drinks, and or they forget we are even waiting. We have a Dr Pepper problem, and sonic has always been where we curb that craving daily, but this location closest to home failing so miserably is the best thing that’s happened to our health. Silver linings I guess. There’s also 0 accountability each time we are there, 0 apology, or even an appearance they care this is the norm now. We regularly see customers leaving without their order or without even ordering, and we only stop by ourselves a fraction of the amount we used to. I hope they sell or change management

Waited for an hour and left without my meal. I asked for my meal after 40 minutes. They said they’d have it out in a minute. Twenty minutes later and I asked for a refund. Apparently they’d completely lost the order. Terrible experience!

This sonic needs the manager from 377 to come show them how it’s done. I’m sick of paying $3 for a side and it’s never in the bag. There is ALWAYS something missing here. If you do get your side, it’s half empty. I will only go to 377 from now on. I’ve given this sonic about 87 chances too many.

Addition on 6/7/2025....Purchased just 2 ocean waters today. Drove all the way home just to find out their carbonated water / syrup was out and the drinks tasted bitter, not sweat. Couldn't even drink them. WASTE of $$ again. Nothing here has changed. This Sonic is the ABSOLUTE worst of any Sonic I have ever encountered. Always takes forever, especially for Doordash/Uber Eats orders. Drivers have to wait forever for orders. Sonic just cancels orders after multiple drivers have shown up to pick up the orders. Sonic Blasts are like milk, melted. Always the least amount of toppings I've seen from any Sonic. Anything fried is over fried due to very old oil, from them not changing out oil. Just an all around disaster from this location. The owner should fire Management. Management should be ashamed of their incompetence.

This was the absolute worst experience I've ever had at a sonic location. I ordered the bacon Croissant breakfast sandwich and a small order of tots. The sandwich was hard as a rock, and the bacon was so burnt it was almost completely black. The tots were the opposite of fresh, too. I regret tipping in advance on the app. I will be going to a different location for future orders. This one sucks! I visited at 8 in the morning, and you'd think their breakfast of all things would be decent at this time of day.

This is the absolute worst sonic. You can order just a drink and it takes minimum 10 minutes to come out and its watered down and clearly has just been sitting there. Same with the food… cold, not fresh, etc. The employees almost always have a horrible attitude… the sonic across town is superior.

I always order ahead on the app and still have to wait no less than 20 minutes every time I visit. They are the slowest sonic I’ve ever been to. It’s convenient to visit because it’s close to my home, but the employees are completely rude and you have to wait forever.

Just placed a mobile order and paid almost $40 total. I had said on my buffalo wraps to add extra buffalo sauce and no tomatoes. I got tomatoes and almost NO buffalo sauce. I also got a burger with no veggies and I got all the veggies on it. The fries were all mushed together and stringy. This is not the first or second time this happened. I’m done going here. Our food was also cold and we got there when they told us to for pick up.

I went there and did not get a fresh burger, the patty was cold. I had asked for the buns to be grilled, which they did and, was the best part. The burger just was not anything to brag about whatsoever, coldest can be! Minus the buns. I ordered extra large tater tots which came out and they were still white! How do you get white tater tots?! Anyway, instead of going back and asking for them to fix my food right, I don't want to take a chance I don't spitting on it or rubbing my meat patty on the floor some of the stuff that I know goes on so, I will not be going there again. Ever again!

This Sonic is seriously horrible. If you order food on the app you still wait 30 minutes. Even if it’s just a drink. This place is ridiculous. I feel so bad for the kids that work here. They get chewed out by every single person because the wait time is 30 minutes for a burger. Or a drink. Who wouldn’t be mad? I’m not mad at the workers I am mad that this sonic is still up and running when they obviously shouldn’t be. They should close down because they obviously can’t get enough workers here to provide business. Everytime I’ve ordered food here it’s old and Cold. How do you make someone wait 30 minutes for one meal for it to be Cold and not fresh? If I could give the Sonic 0 stars I would.

Very very disappointed and I went to sonic at 6:45 this evening on a Saturday night …number one they didn’t have any of the stalls open only the drive-through and it was wrapped around the building. I then proceeded to order a chili dog with chili on the side so it doesn’t get soggy and this is what they gave me…. Like i don’t understand why when I put chili on the side that means I get less than half of what I normally get if they put it on it extremely disappointing..

Some of the worst food I've had in awhile order jumbo chicken/ barbecue and cheese tator tots . My chicken pieces were so small not jumbo pieces and so over cooked I couldn't get the plastic fork into them and note this was a lg size .. My cheese tots cheese was 1 slice on top .
