The crispy pork was exceptional. The skin was uniformly puffy and crispy and the meat was moist and seasoned throughout. I heard the duck is also good so I’ll try next. The egg noodles consistency were al dente and paired well with the sauce. We liked the broth in the bun Bo hue since it was clean tasting, aromatic and on a sweeter side which paired well with the spicy sauce. The restaurant is new and with limited seating but our food came out quick despite being advised that they were short staffed. They were very friendly. The cherry on top is how affordable it was compared to the restaurants on that strip mall.
Goc Viet Restaurant is an absolute gem! We tried the bún riêu, bánh canh cua, spring rolls, phở, and bánh xèo, and every single dish was delicious and full of flavor. The broths were rich and well-balanced, the ingredients tasted fresh, and everything was seasoned so perfectly that we barely had to add any extra condiments, which says a lot for Vietnamese cuisine! Portion was huge too!! You can really tell the food is made with care and authenticity. On top of that, the warm atmosphere makes the experience even better. I’m always happy to support small business owners, especially when the food is this amazing. Highly recommend stopping by Goc Viet. We’ll definitely be back!
Goc Vietnam is the ONLY place we go to for Vietnamese food. We recently moved from Plano to Celina but my husband and I still have their banh mi and spring rolls to go at least twice a week. It’s always 100% fresh and soooo good. We had their banh canh ca and it is definitely a must order!!! The portions are always very generous and the owners are kind as always. We love Goc Vietnam! 🙏🏻
Absolutely delicious food! Every dish was so well prepared with the freshest ingredients and arrived at our table in minutes! I loved my vermicelli salad with pork (the pork tasted so good and the salad was so fresh!!!), my husband loved his spicy beef soup, and the beef and rice and the spring rolls were wonderful as well! We also ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee and it was so good with a lovely darker flavor profile! Would definitely recommend!!!!!
We stopped in for Pho on a totally random day and were blown away! The broth was rich, flavorful, and clearly prepared the right way. The meat portions were generous—much more than most competitors in the area. This spot is truly a hidden gem and definitely a must-try!
The restaurant is nice and clean. They have delicious pickled jalapeño and sate. I have tried spring rolls, hu tieu and roasted pork banh mi. All the good are really good. People are very friendly.
Dropped in for a quick lunch and was the best decision. Everything we ate was all amazing 🤤😋 can’t wait to go back to try everything else on their menu!
The food was good but the front of house operations still have a long way to go. It was very inefficient and confusing; it took a while to get our order but everything came out correct. We ordered the house special pho, bo ne, and the bun rieu. The pho broth was on the leaner side if you prefer that type of broth, loads of different types of meats, and in a big bowl. The bun rieu is on the lighter tomato-y side, it could have adjusted with a side of shrimp paste. But in the same manner as the pho, it was a big portion, loads of proteins, and overall pretty good. The best of the 3 dishes we got was the bo ne. The meat was super tender and cooked just right, the pate they used was tasty and the bread was fresh and flaky. Everything worked very well together but the only thing I could have liked more about the dish is that it would have come with 2 eggs instead of just one. Overall, it was a good meal and it would be a good restaurant when they iron out the front of house operations. Either way, the food was good enough to deal with it for now.
This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Plano Texas! The food is most definitely closest to home cooking authentic Vietnamese cuisine! Please don’t mind the old school traditional Vietnamese feel at this restaurant with the music and all lol It makes me feel like I’m eating at home.
Everything we ordered was SO FREAKING GOOD!! Will definitely be back!! The husband and wife team are also super kind and you can feel how much pride they take in the food that they make!! Highly recommend!
Bo ne - Delicious and tender beef. They gave a lot! The pate was lean and flavorful. The baguette was crisp and fluffy Pho tai & chin - We liked how it was less salty and oily than other ones we’ve had. You could taste the spices used in the broth like cardamom and star anise Vietnamese coffee - Less sweet than other ones, which we also liked
The food was delicious and came out fast! The service was also great. The man and woman (maybe the owners?) who were working the front spoke English well and were super friendly. I love this place because they serve specialty dishes that you usually have to go to Garland to get! If you love pork riblets and shrimp, try the mi quang. Otherwise you can't go wrong with pho or the rice with grilled pork.

First time experience at this restaurant, upon entering the building it was nice and neat , this is def a place my husband and I would be returning to for sure . The chicken pho broth was amazing nice and clean broth . The chicken was tender and the noodles were fresh and bouncy with the healthy amount of green onions (10/10) my husband had the steak pho with beef tendon he really enjoyed it as well (10/10) , they have the condiments you possibly need plus more !! They have chili oil as well , the spring rolls were fresh and the peanut sauce is amazing . The spring rolls come with pork so if you don’t eat pork let them know for shrimp only 😊. 10/10 , everyone was so nice and inviting. Bring friends and family to enjoy this spot . This is def a great pho spot in the DFW area.

Ordered the grilled pork rice plate and noodle soup. Of all the Pho places I have been to around DFW, they have the best Pho rice plate in taste and presentation. The Vietnamese "steamed pork meatloaf and pork skins" sides are out of this world. The grilled pork is good, portion is thick and big. Tiny restaurant, bistro vibe, with like 6 tables that sits 4. 4-star service because server never check back on us and refill our water glasses.
Hands down the best pho I’ve ever had. The ingredients were incredibly fresh and the service was excellent. My son and his Vietnamese friends recommended this place, and it absolutely delivered. I’ll definitely be a regular from now on!
For someone who usually goes to Garland or Arlington for authentic Vietnamese cuisine, I was very surprised to see a mom-and-pop place open up in Plano. I read all the reviews online, and the food photos looked amazing, so my sister and I decided to stop by. The restaurant is very small, with only five tables. The owner (I’m assuming) seated us at a larger table when we arrived, but we moved because another party came in and there were no other large tables available. We didn’t mind since it happened before the food came out, but it’s just something to be aware of. My sister ordered the hu tieu, goi cuon, and I got the fried rice at first. Then I saw a giant banh xeo being brought out to another table and started drooling— so my fat ass decided to order one as well. All the dishes were delicious and filling, though I wish there had been more lettuce wraps and pickled daikon served with the banh xeo. We also got Thai tea and Vietnamese coffee, and both were solid. Overall, we really enjoyed the food and the service. The owner was very nice, and the food tasted authentic. The prices were $2–3 higher than what you’d typically pay in Garland, but since Plano is a more expensive area, it’s totally understandable. I definitely recommend stopping by if you’re craving authentic Vietnamese dishes. This place is solid and earned my recognition!
Still a relatively new Viet amese restaurant in Plano. This location is very small. It only has 5 tables and they can only hold about 20 people. Service was impeccable. Unfortunately, the flavor was lacking. The pho had a lot of meat which was great but the flavor lacked any depth. The egg roll was great. Shrimp fried rice had no flavor. Shaking beef was too salty. Nice to try once. I hope they can make small changes to improve and be successful

Restaurant size is on the smaller side. Service and staff are good. Plenty of parking available. I had the Bun Rieu and Banh Xeo. Bun Rieu had a generous quantity which is expected for the price paid. So that is good. It came with: ✅ Shrimp ✅ Crab Paste Pork Meatball. ✅ Vietnamese Pork Meatloaf slices ✅ large bowl for better presentation ✅ Fresh sides of vegetables - Thinly sliced Steam Pork. I would say it’s on the drier, chewier, saltier side. - Broth lacked tomato sweetness expected with this dish. It was overwhelmingly salty too like Morton ionized salt. Bun Rieu was missing ❌ Pork Hock ❌ Congealed Pork Blood For the Banh Xeo, it came with fresh veggies and the expected shrimp and pork, so that’s a ✅. However, the crepe is too oily so that’s a ❌. Usually, it should be crispy, so the oil isn’t captured and soaked by the crepe.
Not hard to tell they are new and working out the kinks. That and it was obvious it was an ice cream shop so seating is limited and a little chaotic. The food portions are immense so nothing to worry about there. And the food is decent, not the best but certainly worth the money.
Food: brisket pho, bun bo hue, spring rolls The food was super tasty! You can tell it's very fresh, especially the spring rolls with fresh veggies and shrimp. And the peanut sauce is AMAZING. I'm not very familiar with bun bo hue, but it was so comforting and flavorful. The pho was smaller than we would've thought but still good. The broth tasted different than what we're used to - the best I could think of to describe it was not as "clean," but not in a bad way. It might have had more oil/fat content?
We were on our way to Pho Que Huong, but saw this new place and decided to try it. The atmosphere was fine, although seating was limited. The service was fantastic, everyone was very polite and professional. My wife had the pork vermicelli noodles and I had the fatty flank and rare steak pho. We also had the pork spring rolls as an appetizer. My wife enjoyed her meal, and the pork was very flavorful. The meat in my pho was very flavorful and tender. However, the broth was a little bland, which I think is the key to good pho. The spring rolls are made with roasted pork instead of barbecue pork, which is what I prefer, so it was not very flavorful. To be fair, they are prepared with pork and shrimp, and we left the shrimp off, so maybe it needed the shrimp for more flavor. Overall, I would go back again and try other things on the menu.

It was my first time here. I came because of the reviews and the banh xeo. Service was fast. Combo Pho came first. I taste the soup as always and was disappointed in the lack of beefy flavor and a weird taste of spices that seemed to be off balance. I don’t finish the soup as I usually do. I appreciated the generous portions of meat and vegetables. The banh xeo was okay. There was generous portions of filling inside but I wished there was more lettuce leaves. The fish sauce should be sweeter. Overall, I would not order the beef pho because for me the soup has to taste good and it didn’t here. This was also my least favorite banh xeo. My son had the banh mi and he said it was good. I didn’t taste it so I’ll take his word for it.

The hu tieu, bun bo hue broth was extremely bland and tasted almost like plain water, with no depth of flavor at all. the meat was sliced far too thin, to the point that it barely felt like there was any meat in the dish. My first time coming here, and disappointed.
