I've been here twice now. The pearl tea is very good. You can taste the tea through the sweetness of the boba and the added sugar (at 30%). The boba is perfectly soft and chewy. I also was able to try the Taro milk tea with sago. It was fantastic! To me it seemed like a delicious mix of taro and...vanilla? A delicious blend that I was a little jealous of. I think I'll order that next time I'm here.
Tasty milk tea as always! Best thing I love about them is their sago. I choke on boba don't like them much, always have a hard time finish them and drink up all the milk tea first. Sago is perfect it's like mini boba. Wish they have fresh milk tea menu. But for now you can order black tea and add on whole milk for that.
I first had Coco when I was in Taipei, Taiwan and the Matcha tea is very good. I get mines with less ice and 50% sweetness level. I was happy when I found they had a SF location and got Matcha and caramel chocolate flavor. Both were good.
Tried standard green tea without sugar with boba which is what I always try at any boba tea store for the first time to taste the actual tea flavor, and the quality of the boba. The quality was unexpectedly AWESOME. Pearl Boba were cooked and served to perfection. Same quality compared with Taiwan's original Coco store! The tea is authentic, brewed properly with the right concentration of tea and bitter sweet aftertaste. Kudo to the store manager for keeping the kitchen to cook the pearl properly. Serving time is about 6 to 8 minutes, slightly longer than usual fast boba tea stores. But the quality is worth the wait and may improve after staffs are more familiar with the process. (learned that store only opened since 3 weeks ago)
Great place for a boba stop. The taro milk tea is superb. The boba is also very well made, not too soft and sweet enough to want to nom them till they’re gone. Though the service was a bit slow, the boba was good. One of the better Coco’s I’ve been to in the Bay Area!
The bubble tea was quite good and the service was friendly. There was plenty of seating available as well when we visited on a Saturday afternoon.
It's become my go-to boba place in DT. I really like their mango green tea. Their boba is chewing and honey-infused. Don't forget to sign up for their digital stamp card if you go there often. Every 10th drink is free and you get a free drink on your birthday too.
As we were heading to an escape room, we looked up the closest boba spot and this was it. We order a red bean matcha milk tea and we were surprised that no employee tax was added: the price you see is the price you pay. The drink was very good.
Ordered just after five, the tapioca boba were super fresh! Really recommend coming by when they make their Boba, so that they're still nice and chewy.
Tried a Medium Brown Sugar Fresh Milk with Pearls ($4.50). It’s yummy. Reminds me of a Filipino dessert called Taho (but without the tofu). I’d definitely order the drink again.
Stopped in and tried the Taro Milk Tea, overall the drink looked great with its pretty lavender color and a nice layer of foam on top. The taste was spot on and not to sweet with 30% sweetness. Additionally, the staff is super friendly, making it a perfect spot to hang out.
We came in on Monday, the first few customers. We ordered the Tropical Special, which were limited time drinks. The drink usually comes with boba and coconut jelly, but the boba wasn't ready, so we sub the boba for grass jelly and crystal boba, which was fine and we didn't mind it. The drinks were good and sweet even for 50% sweetness, the cashier was friendly and nice. I would come back and try out the other drinks.
I've been a boba enthusiast since high school and have tried it over 100 times And this store in San Francisco is hands down the best, especially their pearl which has the perfect size and texture. Not too small and not too big. Just right 👌and super Quick!! So this is my top recommendations ! 😽BASIC MILK TEA menu if you wanna drink sth familiar : Pearl milk tea , Taro milk tea , Matcha milk tea, Jasmine milk tea — >add pearls 😽Basic BUT a little bit special : Pearl chocolate, Jasmine brown sugar pearl milk tea, Sago taro milk tea 😻 Something.. A refreshing drink : Mango yakult with coco pearls, Strawberry slush with pearls, Lemon king with coco pearls Enjoy it !! 😋😋
Stopped by on a whim. Needed someplace to sit and enjoy our momos from next door. I am not a huge Boba fan but these were very tasty, lots of good junk floating around in them to nibble on. Strong tea flavor came through as did the fruit. Ordered both with half the amount of sweetener and they were still plenty sweet. The whole place was clean especially the bathroom and that was greatly appreciated!
I ordered “ tropical special” 百香雙響炮, 30% sugar and 30% ice. The flavor was original and made me feel like I was in Taiwan (miss home🧋🧋)
I liked the place. You can only pay with credit card. The prices are ok, just remember yo double check if the price includes pearls!
I got good vibes from this boba shop. The milk tea was good, not too sweet, and the Pearl had a nice chewy texture. Despite being quite busy the staff was quick about putting out drinks. Decore of the restaurant is fun and there is a fair amount of seating which is rare in FiDi. Price was a bit high compared to other spots in the area, but worth a visit.

Lots of tea with great flavor! My wife likes their 0% sweetness options, and I find their milk and fruit teas equally good, with boba or fruit jelly.

I like the taste of their milk tea though the boba has always been disappointing. I typically get grass jelly as the topping instead.
The green tea has a nice bitterness to it. The honey boba is pretty good here but i think the prices are teetering on the more expensive side. The large drink uses a taller thinner cup that contains 660 ml of fluid. I'm not sure how much the standard regular size holds.
The regular size is slightly smaller than itea at similar prices. I thought the pearl milk tea and boba tasted slightly better though. The staff was friendly and mentioned that they just opened last Friday, 3/15. Update 5/31/19: CoCo is a bit cheaper than itea now that itea raised their prices. Coco has a stamp card, but it also has an expiration date. I received my first card today with an expiration date 2 months into the future. 10+1free drink is a lot within 2 months.
Milk tea itself is fine, regular milk tea is much better than Jasmine milk tea. However, I notice that they charge $0.25 if you ask for a bag at the counter, but if you ask for a bag after you got your drink, they would just give it to you, instead of needing to pay it?
I went today for the first time to try and got the limited edition brown sugar latte. If you know your boba, you’ll know that YiFang Taiwan Fruit Tea is known for this particular boba but I have to say, the one I got from CoCo was pretty good. And I didn’t have to wait 20 mins to get my drink. Cute place with cute decor. Efficient line. I was in and out within five minutes even though a group of four in front of me had just ordered.
There are not too many boba options unless you take a MUNI ride a few blocks in some direction here. Coco's fills the void plenty, though. This spot has high ceilings and maybe half a dozen tables but plenty of standing space. Plenty of wall decor, and more spartan on the seating. The service can be slow if there's a large crowd, as this location has minimal staff. The drink selection is excellent, offering everything from fruity blends to classic teas. Coco's is the spot I recommend for friends who like cloud-tops and popping boba. Look for the discounted drinks on the monitors.
It’s a fine bubble tea place. The 4stars is because it says that they have oat milk but they didn’t. The drinks were ok with soy milk.
Would I come back: UH YEAH! Tropical Special: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 5/5 The extended review... Tropical Special: This was a pretty typical combo and quite delicious with the boba AND coconut jelly. The price was also pretty good considering it was large with two toppings. Another boba place to compete with Sharetea in the downtown space! Service: Average service Ambiance: It's quite a cute store front with some seating. A nice place to hang out and chat.
The location of the store right on market Street is very good. The drinks are typical. Love bubba is average. In a pinch. It's a good place to stop by. The seating is really good and it is very large store.
Pretty good for the price of around $5 for a medium size. On the lighter side for a milk tea flavor wise.

do not get the thai tea. so sweet and the worker said the sweetness level is fixed like you can't change. they use sweetened condensed milk but too much of it imo. Straight sugar can't even taste the thai tea. I think this place is better for fruit tea it was refreshing
i drink boba tea almost every day and have tried many others place in this area this Coco have the lowest price of all and in high quality in their product beside they have a supper clean rest room .
Not recommended at all. The service was quite unpleasant, especially the girl preparing the drink — just by looking at her face, I felt like canceling the order. The drinks taste really bad and are definitely not worth the price. This was my last visit; I won’t be coming back. Total waste of money.
Average bubble tea place with decent selection. Good if you looking for sweet drink rather than tea quality. Sago with bubble is quite good together. This store is huge, but would be nice with more seating. Went there when they open in the morning, but bubbles are ready so have to return after like 30 mins.
It was not transparent to me that the place is BoBa gelatinous spheres which are suddenly popular around here. Apparently the word “Pearl” was a hint. Anyway. Service is ok, otherwise you have standard mix out of package, which makes watery drink which is no juice, no tea, no character and bunch of ugly Boba at the bottom. Oh, and probably some hype only younger people are getting from it. Why would they regularly pay 7$ for diluted chemicals. Beer is much healthier. Blah… But I had to try it to be on the same page with modern trends. Couple times a year do not kill you. And yes, zero sugar tastes sweet. I do not think they put sugar in it. It is just a taste of the gelatin or agar, or whatever boba is made of….

They used only powder with no real taro in a taro drink. That's the Quickly style usually for 2 dollar. You shouldn't sell a powder drink for 5 dollar even with the central location.
Order pearl milk tea with 30% and 50% ice (show less ice on the sticker), it is still too sweet and the boba is not fully cooked! Very disappointed.
Same problem that plagues other locations. Incredibly slow service. Only one person in front of us in line, half empty store, still took 13 minutes to get one drink.
I tried their Matcha red bean latte with 70% , it is still too sweet. Not very matcha. I got a larger cup, the cup is tall and Skinny, feel like the large cup is the regular cup in other tea place. For the value and taste, I would go to Boba guy. Came here on Weekday around lunch time, was very hit in SF, and the line was out the door by 12:30 or 1PM.
In a city with so many bubble teas around, you can give this place a pass. Doesn't feel like real tea, just syrups. Tapioca balls aren't good either. Two stars for the ambiance.

Poor customer service and no understanding of common sense. Went in today and ordered a drink. Paid with my credit card but their machine was down. I kept trying and at the same time they had already made my drink. They wouldn’t give me the drink they already prepared. Out of courtesy since YOUR machine was down you should have just given me my drink that you threw out after anyway. Instead enjoy this 1 star review. Never supporting this location or business.
Use to be fine when I first came, but last encounter will be my last. I asked for no sugar in my black tea and it’s an order I get all the time there. Took a sip and it was really sweet. The cashier did not label it as zero sweetness and I told the one who made my drink about it. He kept trying to argue with me that he didn’t add sugar but I obviously taste it. With an annoyed sigh he was preparing to make it again but I told him to forget it. He obviously didn’t believe me nor did he want to make it again. The rudeness just turned me off. There’s plenty of great boba places around. SF can survive without this one.
Didn't enjoy the sago taro milk tea. It's filled with sugar and artificial colors and flavors. Real milk costs more. Sago hadn't been soaked for long enough and was hard. All for the generous price of $6. Threw it in the garbage. Never again.
Tried to get boba last night. The doors were open and a bunch of young kids were outside sitting on the wall in front of the door smoking cigarettes. I went to dinner with my boyfriend and came back an hour later and they were still there. I walked towards the door to get boba (as it was wide open) and they all started trying to get my attention stating that they were closed. All of those kids smoking were actually the workers. Very unprofessional and if you’re closed, close the doors. Where were the managers in thus situation? Will not be returning.
