I was really happy with this food. It hit the spot big time. Plenty of seating, beer and wine available. Amazing hummus and rice. Very good everything actually. The employees were handsome and friendly.
My wife had the Greek Salad with Lamb & Beef Gyro. I had a Lamb & Beef Gyro Wrap with fries. First, the service here is excellent. They move fast, and they're friendly. And the menu prices are very reasonable. My wife loved her Greek Salad; she has tried many of them and says this one is her favorite. That says a lot! My gyro wrap was delicious, but it wasn't a traditional gyro, which I'm an elitist about, but it was a delicious gyro. The meat was perfect, the seasoning was excellent, and they wrapped it up tight, burrito style. The fries were crispy, not greasy, and had a lot of flavors. It was a light, spicy Mediterranean flavor. I've already recommended Gyro Express to some friends living in the area.
Honestly, they have really great food. The hummus is really good and so is there chicken. The atmosphere was not great. While it was quiet, for the most part especially considering a Saturday night the day before Folsom Fair, there were patrons inside that were looking at and making reference toward females buttocks.... Personally, didn't feel like much of a safe space considering this is the Castro. Again though, the food is really good and the service was better than expected.
Amazing place friend stuff. Delicious food. I happy that I found this place. Food feels like home. Also they have Ayran one of my favorites drink and it is also delicious 😋
It is a very needed spot when all the restaurants close after lunch and you find yourself starving. I have had better meat but the hummus was divine and the chicken gyro was good too. Occasional naked guy walking past the windows added to the experience:D
We stopped at Gyro Xpress with my friends last night. It was the best chicken wrap I've ever eaten. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the staff were very friendly. You should definitely try their baklava. Pistachio baklava is my favorite. We will come again.
Nestled in the heart of the Castro neighborhood, is not only a haven for delicious gyros but also offers a prime location for fantastic people watching. As you savor their mouthwatering gyro plates, you can immerse yourself in the vibrant energy of the neighborhood, observing the colorful characters that pass by. It's the perfect spot to enjoy great food while taking in the lively atmosphere of the Castro.
Loved this place from day 1. Many restaurants tried to occupy this space and failed to stay in business. After Gyro Xpress took over,I went to try the food and said to my friend "You will see, this restaurant is here to stay". Years later,it is still here and going strong!!! Go Gyro Xpress
Gyro Xpress is one of my favorite Castro restaurants. They are established in the Castro and support the community. I love the vegetable bowl.

Stopped in here, and a very kind wait staff allowed me to charge my phone. They were very personable and did not make me feel less-than.
This is one of favorite Castro eateries. The food is delicious, service is swift and the employees are nice and attentive. This is my go to spot after partying on a Saturday or Sunday night. I'll grab a delicious salmon plate and consume it while people watching at the best people watching spot in the Castro. Love these guys.
I love this place. The vibe is chill and welcoming, and now by just going there once a month or so I feel like a regular. Extra points for supporting the bookstore down the block. That’s what I call an awesome community member. PS. There always seem to be some handsome men eating there, so bonus! 🥰
It was my first time visiting San Francisco, and I was happy to see a place open to grab some food that wasn’t overly busy after my time spent at the bars. The staff were all friendly, and the food was very good. I would definitely come here again. I had the Gyro Wrap, and the French fries were crispy and had a great taste to them.

Underrated. Lentil soup is addicting, very tasty hummus (I’m not a fan of hummus, but I really like their version), skewers (even lamb one) are also great! I definitely recommend their plates and lentil soup. Honestly, I don’t consider it as Greek, it’s more Turkish/Kurdish (not sure about owner origins), but it’s a big plus. I don’t like Greek food, Turkish restaurants are way more superior imho (sorry, Greece).
The food here is pretty good and the vibe is nice as well. A great spot for people watching which is the main reason I come back here. They usually play pretty good music. The staff have been pretty nice in my experience. Not an impressive place but a pretty good one. Would recommend.
One of the best gyro restaurants in the fabulous Castro district 🌈. Great selection of food and drinks. It also has over of the best people watching spots in the entire Castro. You can enjoy your gyro and eye candies at the same time😍. On top of that, the servers, chef, and the owner are super friendly and welcoming. If you're in the neighborhood, you should give this place a try! 👍🏼👍🏼🥳

Good but not amazing. Lamb burger was so big.I could barely fit it in my mouth.
The wrap was tasty, but dominated by lettuce, hardly any tomato, and just a tiny plastic cup of yogurt dressing. The garlic fries were OK. What appeared to be a plastic bottle of ketchup on the table, turned out to be hot sauce, which wasn’t what I wanted. Did not learn that until it was too late. Comfortable place to eat in a busy and interesting neighborhood.

This place has rock solid lamb/beef schwarma and some of the best hummus anywhere. It's fast, consistent and tasty. Same goes for the lamb kabobs. There's a reason they're the only business that's survived on this corner since the days of the old camera shop. I was beginning to think that corner was jinxed for anyone brave enough to open there. :-P
I saw a great review about this place and I was really exited to try, sadly I was really disappointed. The place has indoor and outdoor dining. You have to go order in the cash register and wait for your food then you can just sit wherever you want to. When I was ordering my food the server asked to see my vaccination card so I asked him if I needed it to eat outside(because my friend isn't vaccinated) he was kind of rude but he said no. When we received or wraps they were wrapped in a weird way there was foil inside the wrap it was kind of hard to eat. There was nothing especially about this place. I wouldn't come back.

The falafel(wrap)... So bad... It's just the worst. And the tahini sauce is sweet, somehow. Aside from that, is shredded iceberg lettuce and tomato. On top of that, I had four bites out of my medium-sized wrap with zero falafel... Like they're in being stingy with their shitty falafel. But at $20 for a combo with fries and a drink, I dunno why. Fries were slightly undercooked and WAY over salted. Ordinarily I'd pull my punches a bit reviewing someone's business, but it's obvious these people dgaf, so I'm just keeping it real.

This place is cute, and their WiFi is decent when it's actually working, but this place is VERY misleading as they do not notify people of their food. A lawsuit is waiting to happen at this place given they're labeling food as vegan, but it's not.. specifically the Lentil Soup. The soup itself is pureed lentils, but they clarified with me today that the bread itself has eggs in it and they do not have other options to supplement it with. This is incredibly frustrating when I paid almost $20 for soup and a side of falafel and drove here to do work over dinner. If anyone with a dietary concern or restriction comes here, BEWARE as you are being lied to. God knows how many other "Vegan" options they have listed that do in fact contain animal ingredients. Walk a few steps across the street and go to Rossi's Deli as they have vegan food that is more filling, cheaper, and they've been in business for 57 years!
