I've been to the Oakland location before in the past and it was quite enjoyable, and this was no different. All the meats tasted fresh- the brisket, pork belly, and bulgogi were especially enjoyable.

Ohgane在Alameda新开的一家店,从室内装修到食物可以说都是Broadway那家店的升级版。相当值得来吃一次。 It’s one of my favorites, I used to go to the one on broadway cuz that’s closer to where I live. But this place is amazing! It’s like a full upgrade version of the Broadway ohgane. The interior design is very clean with some decent wall paintings. And the service here are also in a higher efficiency. Don’t doubt the quality of their meats me sea food, the whole experience with my gf is delightful and we’re so full when we finish all the dishes.

Loved it, there’s so many options and it’s hard to try everything without getting full. Probably the best would be the the thinly sliced beef in marinade, and the kimchi pancakes! More food stuff @vin.foodjournal

All you can eat Korean BBQ. The soo do bu (spicy soft tofu) is also excellent. Many choices for meat. You do the BBQ yourself. They change the grill plate very frequently. Many side dishes. Not a bad deal given meats are so expensive now these days. Drinks are not free. Two hour limit.

Finaly we tried this place on a wednesday evening. Pretty busy, but service is really fast and professional. From A to Z we are satisfied with this restaurant. We are definately coming back. Been here a few times and it never disappoints. Today we came for our for our twin boys 17th birthday. It was so much fun. John, one of the managers, attended to our group and he was so helpful. A couple of items arrived late but he made sure we got caught up. Highly recommend the food! So yummy! Great service! Fun atmosphere!

If you’re looking for an authentic Korean BBQ experience, this is the place. The quality of the meat is excellent—well-marinated and fresh—and the side dishes make every bite worthwhile. One thing I love is that you get to cook the food yourself at the table, making the experience more interactive and personal. The service is always friendly and attentive, ensuring you have everything you need. Plus, the atmosphere is great, perfect for going with a group and enjoying a relaxed meal. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to.

The most price-value all you can eat Korean BBQ on the island of Alameda. At $38.99 you can order as much as you wish: rib eye steak Korean short rib Baby octopus Beef Brisket Prawns Pork belly Steamed egg Kim chi soup King mushroom Zucchini And many more... The service was attentive. Servers changed the grill often. They have a full bar at the reasonable prices. I love this place!

This is my 2nd time here. It's certainly worth the travel and all you can eat option. All the meat and sides, along with smoothies, was delicious. I didn't know they had octopus here. Certainly enjoyed that option. Great for a good size group( 4+people. )The staff is very attentive. Overall, clean ambiance and well-kept environment.

This is it. One of the best All You Can Eat Korean BBQ self grill restaurants in the bay area. $35 a person. My favorites are the beef short ribs, brisket, marinated rib eye (bulgogi), pork ribs and spicy chicken. It is nice they have other stuff available like seafood (shrimps, squid etc) and vegetables (bell pepper, zucchini etc.) Other dishes like corn cheese, white rice etc are also available. This was exactly what I needed today. Well done staff at Ohgane.

We had a table of five. They're very quick to replace the grill as needed. They delivered the food fast. We had a variety of the meats and vegetables. Everything was delicious and as expected. Their marinade was tasty and I can't always say that about other K restaurants I've been in. Check them out.

I’ve been to the spot a few of times with different groups and it is always awesome. This last time was possibly the busiest though. Like every table was completely full kind of busy. It took us a bit of time to get things like utensils, or to get plates taken away. With that said the meat never stopped coming. The machines that they have at each of the table, make it really easy for you to get food. You cannot order drinks on the machine, though, so once you get your server over to your table order drinks quickly

Ohgane x Vons - Alameda Restaurant Review: Came here hungry. Left full, slightly smoky, and very satisfied — which is exactly what I want from Korean BBQ. I went all-in on the grill with their premium menu B options: thick slices of pork belly, beef brisket, and marinated cuts that actually looked good before they even hit the fire (a rare but appreciated flex). The pork belly was the standout for me — crisped up nicely, juicy inside, and perfect wrapped with their side of garlic and jalapenos. No filler meat, no sad thin slices pretending to be premium. The L.A. style ribs were one of my favorite dishes. I also had the soft tofu stew and spicy ramen noodles soup on the side, but couldn’t finish either. They ran out of the radish wraps before I got there. The vibe is lively and casual — Service was on point: quick refills, grill help when needed, and no weird disappearing acts mid-meal. Bottom line: if you’re here to eat well, cook your own meat, and leave happy.. this place gets it done. Come hungry. Wear clothes you don’t mind smelling like BBQ later. Worth it.

Great food, quick service, and very reasonable prices, but the smoke was extremely heavy. I had to shower and do laundry immediately after getting home. The only smokier place I’ve ever been to was a camp fire in Yosemite and an electrical fire at work. The opposite in smoke control is Gyu Kaku in Oakland. I always leave there without a hint of meat odor. I see others complained about the noise, but it’s a place with a young, hip vibe, so kind of expected.

Good food but only served as all you can eat. If you want to pay a la carte, go to the oakland restaurant.

I looooooved bringing my family here. The staff was super nice and welcoming. We had a nice table for 7 of us in a semi private area. The staff came to replace our grills in a timely fashion and considerate enough to warn us about a kiddo being in the path for hot grill removal! The food was great, everyone enjoyed their AYCE. I loved the spicy pork but the second round for some reason was more fatty and messed with my stomach a little. The kids had a great time trying all the new foods and learning about grilling. The AYCE sides were great too. Would have liked to see more variety in the sides but.. they were good enough. Definitely come here. It's great for a date or for big groups with or without kids.

Been here before and had great service last time. This time, on a Tuesday for dinner and it wasn't all that busy. Yet, we had to wait 15 minutes for a table when nearly half of the place was empty. Our family consists of two adults and four kids (1 yr old baby is one of the kids). The actual service from taking orders, bringing the food and fulfilling all request are exceptional. Just a bit annoyed having to wait 15 mins when there were plenty of empty tables. Felt like they were consolidating into certain areas only and limiting customers on purpose.

Oghane in Alameda is my wife and I's go-to for all you can eat KBBQ. Location is nice near the South Shore of Alameda where there's plenty of parking and other restaurants and shops to visit. The wait time varies, but we usually go late, like after 7 pm, so there's usually not much of a wait. Weekends are busier, but if you're a smaller party, the wait isn't longer than 30 minutes. We always do the regular all you can eat menu, which has the cuts of meat we usually get. We've never tried the Premium, and the other cuts of meat you get don't appeal to us for the additional cost. I'd recommend going with the regular menu, which you won't be disappointed with. The ambiance is cool. They have some TVs near the bar if you want to watch whatever they're playing. When the main floor is full, they have 2 additional rooms you can get seated in. We're not too fond of them as it seems more enclosed so it can get smokier in there. My only qualm about the restaurant is how slippery the floors can get. It's typical for KBBQ spots because of the grease in the air, but it can be a little sketchy, especially in the bathrooms. The grills could use better deep cleaning, too. You can see built-up grease on the sides of the grill. We usually just order brisket and short ribs, nothing fancy. We've tried the rib eye steak and bulgogi, which are pretty good, but we just like how easy it is to cook brisket, and we like the marinade and fattiness of the short ribs. My only qualm about the entrees is that the serving size of an order can be inconsistent. We usually ask for 3 brisket, and once in a while, they bring out just one plate that doesn't quite seem like 3 orders. Other times, it's a lot. It's not a big deal since we can just order more, but 5 wanted to point that out. For the sides, we usually get corn cheese, steamed egg, pot stickers, and once in a while japchae. You can't go wrong with any of them, although once in a while, the steamed egg tastes soapy, as if the dish they serve it in isn't completely rinsed. It's still edible, but the taste can be inconsistent. Service is always pretty good. There may have been a couple of times when I rang the bell, and it took longer than usual, but someone eventually comes. Overall, Oghane in Alameda is good for all you can eat KBBQ, and we highly recommend it.

Went here for lunch today, to take a young lady for her birthday. She brought a cake in that someone from her place (she is poor) gave her. the waiter was nice to put in in the fridge. I was kind of tired, having driven some 50 miles. So we went with this all you can eat scenario. Sadly I should have really looked at the prices. I don't know that I might have objected, but when I got the bill, I was floored, probably the most expensive lunch I ever had, before the tip, nearly 200 dollars, no wonder there was hardly anyone there, this on a Thursday afternoon. Also, they just give you the meat, you put it in this heater, but also cut it up. Luckily she did. It would have been nice if he had gone over the different prices before.

Great find even though it has been here a while. Excellent Bulgogi, chicken too. Pork was like fatty bacon. Used to more condiments but we will be back as we get our bearings!

Went for AYCE KBBQ lunch. The meat was good, most of the side dishes and banchans were pretty mid. The vegetables like the radish wrap and the seaweed salad were over seasoned. They were also out of rice paper wrap which was disappointing. The selection of meat and sauces was pretty good, but the sesame oil at our table was stale. Overall we enjoyed our experience and our server Desiree was very attentive and friendly. Would probably come again, hope they have rice paper next time!

Unbeatable price for the basic package. We went at 5pm so the place was quite busy but they are very much understaffed. I feel bad because the same guy was taking orders, bringing out food, and making cocktails. He gets bonus points for allowing my table to order more than 4 items at once though.

We enjoyed our dinner, but it was pricey. We also had to Bargain with our server to get permission for the two children in our party to have orders by entree, instead of all you can eat.

Ohgane is up the there with places like Gen BBQ. Ohgane in my opinion takes the number one spot because of the short ribs alone. They are pretty much perfect(sometimes they get fatty but hey 95% of the time they a hit). The brisket and seasoned pork belly are also stand out choices from the menu. Japchae all day! Would definitely recommend this place to others. On this particular visit the service wasn’t its best but usually they do a good job.

Decent meats, lacking panchans - note two of the small dishes pictured were not panchans at all, but actually bean pastes of which only one was used. So that brings the tiny panchans to six paltry afterthoughts. Taste of meats was decent overall, but lousy service. The pilot on our gas grill kept dying each time we adjsuted it so it was not a plesant meal. Oakland Ogane was better.

R
Ria Harris

The food was excellent, but the timing of dish delivery was inconsistent, with gaps of 10-15 minutes. Our waiter was frequently unavailable, and we experienced a delay of 20 minutes for a refill on our water pitcher. While the cuisine was outstanding, the service was poor.

H
Hao Liu

Not as good as the original one in Oakland, both in terms of food quality and service. Brisket was tough, steamed egg was burned, dipping sauces had no flavor. Our waitress either had a bad day or she just doesn't want to work there (can't blame her with all the smoke). The only positives are easy parking and bigger space because it's in a nice mall

I went with five friends to Ohgane Alameda x Vons Chicken and tried out the Premium All You Can Eat (AYCE) menu. They had lots of different food choices, which sounded exciting. Most of us had a good time eating there, but there were a few things that didn't sit well with me. They added Braised Short Ribs, Korean-Style Bulgogi Strew, Beef Small Intestine, Finger Meat, Duck, and New York Steak to the usual menu. I really liked the Braised Short Ribs, Finger Meat, and Spicy Pork Belly – they tasted great, and the place had a nice vibe. But here's the not-so-good part: I got a bad case of diarrhea when I got home. I think it might be because of the wrap lettuces that came with the meal. Oddly, none of my friends had the same issue, and I was the only one who had the wrap lettuces. So, if you're someone with a sensitive stomach, you might want to be careful or skip the wrap lettuces altogether.

Went here yesterday for lunch with 3 of my friends. Our first service guy look rude and impatient, also the restaurant wasn't busy yet. Quickly, they switched to the girl she was nice and fast. Kimchi soup and japchae noodle taste bland. The foods quality is not good because all my friends got diarrhea. Fun vibes here though.

12/27/24 Friday night 8:30pm Not as efficent or attentive because waiters are in each of their areas. I am understanding of busy work place, but in all honesty, they have call button and waiters are not attentive. Other time waiters come by ask what one needs and just take used trays, refill water without asking us. But workers seem off like they don’t want to work which is understandable but good things come when u go above and beyond That’s why it’s hard to give a tip

your kids are under 5, don't bring them here, they charge the same price as adults which is $38.99 for all you can eat . Or send your kids to someone else if you want to eat here. Restaurant owner : can you check with the staff who worked at 6pm July 7 , he told me kids under 5 years old still need to pay full price . Please check camera if u can . Thank you

OMG my experience was unbelievable we have bought from this restaurant multiple times beforehand and there were absolutely no issues however ever since we have been getting food the quality has been decreasing and just recently the chicken we bought came raw! I was absolutely speechless, how could you sell food like this??? Honestly do better.😤

Honestly, their food here has been fantastic every time I’ve been there except this instance. I’m sure it’s still delicious but the service was atrocious. I ordered in person for a take out order. When I got home, I opened my bag to see a bowl of rice with just kimchi, sprouts and carrots, missing all of the toppings, ribeye, spinach, pickled radish etc. The musubi I ordered wasn’t the one I received. Now I’m not too bothered by that, mistakes happen, but the service surrounding it was truly the worst. I called and asked for a refund or a remake of my bowl the next day when I’m back in the area as I was 1.5 hours away. They declined BOTH. The guy on the phone argued me and told me that isn’t what I ordered because the person who took my order didn’t take it properly. Then said they’d call back in a few minutes when my refund was processed. They never called. I went back in the next day and they fought me tooth and nail on remaking a bowl or refunding me. After unfortunately arguing with this employee on repeat, he notified me there was no manager and they wouldn’t do anything. I left and came back and asked for them to remake the food and I would call the manager later when he was in. He said “I won’t make your food if you’re going to ask for a refund.” I told him I was going just going to talk to the manager about my experience and he repeatedly the same sentence with attitude. At that point I was quite upset, but respectful. Surprise surprise after continuing to express my frustration, he calls his manager and in less than a minute I receive a refund. I will not be returning. This was so ridiculous and honestly was so rude beyond belief.

Only AYCE lunches during the week apparently. Confusing signage that is contradictory about allowing al a carte dining. Arrogance of staff who don’t seem to notice or care they have signage that doesn’t make sense. If business was good enough they could surely afford to reprint menu posters with correct info.
