This is a cafe, not a restaurant, I am not sure why Google is treating it like a restaurant. It is a very nice cafe with great coffee and home made pastries with smoothies and teas, with a very nice atmosphere. Check it out for yourself. Personally, I loved it.
We were on a hike up Mountain Road when we entered Montclair Village and discovered Paddington Cafe! They have DELICIOUS coffee and outstanding desserts and cookies. They’re famous for their homemade ruggalach and muffins. The cafe has very comfortable chairs so it’s easy to want to relax here for hours!
These little pastries are amazing. And for a great cause.

Montclair village may be down to 3 coffee shops, Nelly's, Peets, and Starbucks, but even when there were a couple others to choose from, Nelly's is the best. Good coffee, local business, great place to meet people to talk, study, or read. They have light food, lots of teas, and smoothies if coffee isn't your thing.
Very cute coffee shop with excellent chai and delicious savory pastries. Kind and attentive workers. Can’t wait to stop in again!
So great to have a truly independent cafe like this in Montclair. I usually get either an americano or a drip coffee, and the prices are very reasonable. Thank you Paddington Cafe. Also, the owner is a fascinating person, she is a decorated veteran and some of her insignia are on the walls.
Always great coffee and treats with lovely service!
Love the bowls here! The family owned vibe is great and welcoming. I loved hearing the owners story of being in the service. Her awards are hanging proudly on the walls.
Family owned cafe that is very much part of its community. Regulars and the owners greeted each other by first name. Close to Montclair Park so it's popular after paddle sports or softball. Very popular with cyclists too - nine were outside when we are there.
Super good local grown coffee, and the owner was really friendly and sweet to talk to.
Sweet little cafe at a convenient location. My hot chocolate was delicious and ready quickly, and the staff were all really friendly. Wifi worked well, and I'm someone who cares a lot about clean bathrooms and this one is spotless! The ambience is warm and inviting. Highly recommend!
This is my favorite coffeehouse. The coffee is excellent, the service is excellent, too, and the general atmosphere makes it a wonderful place to relax, sip coffee, and read. I highly recommend it.
Lovely shop! Owners are the sweetest and have friendly children who scurry about the shop. I would highly recommend açaí bowls, and muffins and scones.

Friendly staff/owners in this cute community cafe. Got a dirty chai and vegetarian spinach croissant that had a bit of tomato/pesto flavor, yum! Decent wifi, though it can be sometimes unstable.

Great little quiet place. Terrific ambience. Soft music playing in the background. You don't have to yell to carry on a conversation. Only reason for a 4 is that the breads we had were a bit dry. Good flavor, though.
The horchata latte and chai lattes were very good. The chocolate babka and ginger scone were excellent. Chill atmosphere and no pressure to hurry out.
Friendly service and good coffee and pastry selection. Outside benches if you want to linger. No tables set up inside yet. Workers wearing masks and gloves. No waiting line for service. My new go-to in Montclair village.
Great coffee. I wish they were open at least at 7am. Couldn't get coffee there at 7:15 am because the espresso machine wasn't "ready." Had to go to get coffee somewhere else.

The food won't make you sick, but it is very sad. Love yourself.
Burnt, stale self-serve coffee, and the ugliest slop of an acai bowl (for $15!?) I've ever been served. Peach Danish looked nice, but was also rather flavorless and a bit stale. The service was okay, but not great. Looks like a cute hangout spot, but $25 for 3 items including undrinkable large coffee? (I asked and they let me toss it and takeaway a single espresso instead, which I took home and with my own milk steamer turned into a semi-decent cappuccino)... 2 stars at best, and I won't be back.** (**Note: years ago when it was Nellys I'd had similar awful experience including worse customer service and swore never to return. Back in the area for a few weeks, this was their big chance to woo me and change my mind. Ugh. GROSS carafe coffee, seriously. Thumbs down for Paddington.)
