Park St Tavern is praised for excellent food, cocktails, and service. The atmosphere is noted as a hidden gem with a great bar. Some find it pricey, and a few dishes have been criticized for being undersalted or rubbery.

Tip: Make reservations, especially if dining with a group. The bartenders, Ben and the tall, bald bartender with glasses, make great drinks.

Group of 6 went here after seeing it promoted on Check Please, Bay Area. Met one of the owners and his Father, both of whom were very personable. Our server and assistant were excellent. Full bar, excellent menu of Greek and Italian items. The 6 of us ordered lots of appetizers and 2 main items which we all shared. Delicious! Just be a bit patient finding a parking spot. Highly recommend The Park Street Tavern.
The owners and staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food never disappoints, from the appetizers to the steak. The bar area has a very welcoming local crowd that I feel comfortable hanging out at with or without friends or family at my side.
I hosted a party of 16 for dinner. Christos was very accommodating about the arrangements and had a lovely table ready for us. Our server, Lawrence, was outstanding. He coordinated the sequence of food and wine with me and made sure everything flowed perfectly. The food was excellent - some guests said they had never had a better prepared salmon fillet. I look forward to dining at Park Street Tavern again.
The food here is always wonderful. Most likely when you arrive you will be greeted by John, the owner. Alex will fix you a drink or you can select a nice glass/bottle of wine from a large wine selection. Chris will make sure that everything is what you expect coming from the kitchen. The wait staff is attentive.
Great environment and service. We had a group of 6 booked in another restaurant but they couldn’t seat us so Park Street Tavern accommodated us. They had “Restaurant Week” menu items and standard menu was great too. Great wine selection, clean environment, friendly staff and food was tasty and fresh. Their local made pasta and lasagna was incredible. Definitely will come back.
Nice menu selection, delicious food which is well prepared form the heart. Wonderful sourdough bread with whipped light butter. Lamb chops to perfection with amazing reduction sauce! The Spaghetti Bolognese was like Grandmother made it!! A M A Z I N G 👍👍👍👍 Their food is prepared by chef's/cooks in the kitchen that have a "passion for food" not just a job!! Our waiter was very friendly and efficient with good service. I should have taken pics of our food to post, didn't think of it. We will absolutely go back!!!
My lovely wife and I had a taste of pasta and we decided to try this place. We were greeted and acknowledged immediately by this gentleman and then the servers. They were all very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and the dishes. We ordered what our server recommended and it was simply delicious. The atmosphere and the place are fantastic. I would highly recommend this place. By the way try the desserts which are out of this world.
Just fantastic experience all around. My husband and I used to go to Townhouse in Emeryville all the time, but since it has changed ownership a few times we have been looking for a new "go-to" spot. This restaurant is officially it! Really attentive and accommodating staff, and excellent food and cocktails (taste and choice was great for both a big meat eater and a vegetarian). Doesn't look like much on the outside, but inside is nicely decorated and has a lovely vibe. My only concerned comment would be parking. There is a small parking lot to the side of the restaurant, but it fills quickly so you may have to park down the street to find a spot.
Everything was perfect Great atmosphere, food, wine , drink and dessert. Definitely try it
Food was amazing and services was outstanding. A bit loud but the place was bustling. Enjoyed cocktails, 3 course menu with a great wine selection. Enjoyed with close friends for a birthday dinner and will be returning with family next week
I can't believe I live in Alameda and haven't visited this gem! The atmosphere is very welcoming, and the food and drinks are delicious. The staff was very attentive and just all around kind, which is unfortunately rare these days. The Park Street Tavern is a must try!
Food was great. Service was great. I'm coming back for sure.
Everyone, everything, everytime... FANTASTIC experience. Food is so good. You can tell it's made there- from the baked bread (how is the butter so yummy??) to the Bolognese... so good. Cocktails are wonderful. Solid pours, classic design and excellent execution. Y'all, they have Bavic on draft! Love the new bar renovation. The staff is stellar! Obvious dedication and attention to detail. Upscale attire and visual prestige without the pretentious nonsense. Come for a drink with the locals or dinner for the fam!
Tasty food and drinks... AMAZING service, Lawrence is beyond amazing (best waiter in a long time). Warm , attentive, great timing/flow of service. Will be going back for sure because of him. My husband & I both loved our meals ( he had the lamb & I had pasta- house made noodles- chef's kiss). Craving their chocolate moose as I write this. Will be returning soon. Thanks Lawrence for an awesome dinner.
I really enjoyed a dinner here with my family. The staff were attentive and friendly and the food was delicious. Would definitely go back!
I dined here for the first time on June 9, 2023 and I'm still remembering how wonderful everything was! The food was delicious!! Everything we ate [and drank] was perfectly prepared! The staff was pleasant, attentive and welcoming! I dine out often, and so far this has been the BEST all around dining experience I've had so far this year! I don't live in the neighborhood, so this was a hidden gem for me, but I will be back soon! Thank you PBS Check Please! for featuring this restaurant! 💜
Went here for restaurant week, and the scallops over risotto was wonderful, but not as delicious as the beef wellington. The wine list allowed some perfect pairings, and the staff was great too. Five stars!
I thought this was a sports bar, but it's not. It's a little fancy for my tastes, but the staff did make us feel at home. They take reservations, but they had a booth available for us. Our waiter was very attentive. We went early (530ish) before the baseball game, but I think that you may need a reservation if it's later.
While checking out spots for Alameda Restaurant Week, I spent some time at The Park Street Tavern documenting their specialties. The presentation of their dishes impressed me instantly. They've got this newly renovated space with European vibes and a glowing Italian marble bar that creates a genuinely romantic atmosphere. The flattering lighting makes it perfect for dates, and their cozy fireplace adds great winter vibes. It's a friendly bar offering a lot of creative, chef-driven dishes - small plates that pack remarkable flavor. Everything tastes notably fresh, especially their seafood and pasta dish that really popped in my mouth with surprising, bright flavors.
Was an amazing experience. Definitely a date night ideal place
I am so excited! There was a new item added oo the bar menu, deviled eggs! They are really good. They are perfectly complemented with a Cesaer salad. They provide a light meal without red meat. I am so pleased to have an option available. So sorry I ate several before I took the picture, but you get the idea.
A group of vegetarians, pescatarians, and meat eaters headed out to the Park Tavern for the first time during COVID times. We made reservations ahead of time and choose to sit outside in their open tent on a drizzly cold night. The staff was attentive, the heat lamps kept the tent cozy and warm, the tables had adequate distance, and the food was outstanding. It was a Friday and BONUS!!! They have a Beatles cover band do a show and they are amazing but during these strange times, you will be asked not to dance which is reasonable. However, if you want to hold a conversation, I suggest you request seating inside the restaurant which was relatively empty. We dined and dashed. Normally we would linger in conversation but we really wanted to be mindful about allowing the restaurant to have as much business as possible by allowing them to turn over the table. We will be going back.
Absolutely Amazing meal!!!! Took our friends from Australia here for dinner and it was Fantastic! Service, food, and cocktails A+.....Pork Chop, pictured was juicy, tender, fabulous! Friends had the Ribeye, perfectly cooked, delicious! My wife had the Salmon and Orzo, she loved it!!!! Can't wait to go back!!!!!
Recently dined here with my colleagues. The Park Street Tavern is fantastic Greek/American fusion restaurant. I ordered the chicken piccata with a side of salmon, and both dishes were outstanding. The chicken piccata was tender and flavorful, with a delightful lemon-caper sauce, while the salmon was perfectly seared and seasoned. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, and the service was excellent. Thumbs up from my side.
Great hidden gem. Food was excellent. Service was wonderful. Nice atmosphere. They even have their own parking lot. Will definitely be back.
Park St Tavern delivers a 5/5 experience across the board. The bar is truly amazing, setting a high standard. While prices are on the higher side, you truly get what you pay for in terms of quality and service. An exemplary establishment worth every penny.

Park St Tavern - excellent, high quality ingredients, fresh grilled meats, perfectly tender and moist, superb cocktails - and not crowded on a Wednesday night - I am sad about one thing only, that we left before trying the desserts. We'll be back fo' sho'.
New year's eve prefix. Good Alameda Island cheer. Personable friendly service. Pomegranate salad, beef wellington, pistachio panna cotta, perfect cocktail, and a nice bottle of wine. We loved it all.
My husband and I have been a few times, mostly for cocktails. They have a solid cocktail menu, and we love chatting with Ben and the other bartender (I can't remember his name, tall, bald, glasses), who is also fantastic. They both make great drinks. We finally had dinner there for my husband's birthday, which happened to fall on a Monday, and good luck finding nice restaurants open on Mondays. Ana was our server and highly recommended the watermelon salad. She was right. It was amazing. Ana served us again two weeks later with friends on the bar side, also good food and great service. For the birthday dinner both ordered steak. He got the filet and I had the rib eye. After being disappointed by the last four or five steaks I’ve had at restaurants, I was thrilled this one was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I’ve lived in Alameda for 12 years, and I can’t believe it took us this long to get to this restaurant and bar. Great staff, great food, great cocktails, happy hour specials. We’ll definitely be back.
Chris and Alex and their incredible staff helped make our gathering for the Celebration of Life of my family member go so smoothly. Everything was set up and ready by noon even though we weren't arriving until 12:30pm. The food was amazing (as usual) and we definitely did not run out of anything. Thank you Park Street Tavern for your wonderful service and food. My family is very happy (especially Mom, which is all that really counted anyway) and we highly recommend them!
Such a wonderful neighborhood find, I can’t believe it took us so long to try it! We had no trouble getting a reservation for four and a high chair even on a busy Monday holiday when many other local spots were closed. However, I think we were lucky as the place filled up pretty quickly after we arrived. Service was prompt, knowledgeable, and so kind. The drinks and dinner menus were extensive with a lot of creative cocktails and Greek-inspired dishes. We had the pancetta-wrapped prawns which were a revelation, and I had the gnocchi with sausage which was the ultimate winter comfort food. They also had a decent kid’s menu which was a pleasant surprise from such a nice and grownup place. We can’t wait to come back!
The barman was fantastic and made the best drinks. And speaking of which, I have never seen a cooler bar! Great selection of drinks and the happy hour food... not the usual deep fried slop. This was good quality, fresh and delicious, well made food. The main meal was amazing! The stroganoff pasta was so flavorful and the beef just fell apart with the edge of my fork. The home-made fettuccine was yummy. The salmon with spinach risotto was fresh and excellently cooked and I very much enjoyed the Peruvian peppers. The service was impeccable. I was impressed with the ambiance and design of the restaurant too; very comfortable and cozy. I loved the fresh rose on each table. Overall, I was extremely impressed with Park Street Tavern. The food is fabulous and the drinks are the best made on this island. I would recommend this spot hands down. It's a gem!
First time there tonight and it totally outpaced our expectations! I love looking for different places to dine and Park Street Tavern looked amazing online. So, I booked it. Food was incredibly delicious, drinks were outstanding, and the staff are super chill and awesome. A great choice for sure!! Thank you to our awesome server -- Jasmine (and I apologize if I got your name wrong)!! Great dining experience!!

The food is mostly good. Slightly overpriced but tasty. They actually present the "Cod of the day". I found that peculiar but interesting. Friendly staff and a warm atmosphere. Prepare to spend $100 or more per person if you drink wine, and enjoy 3 courses. PS avoid the gnocchi. The gooey gnocchi is the only reason I did not give them a 5 star rating. Everything else our party of 4 had there was good.
We went to have dinner after the art and wine fair. It was very busy and the staff were great. The food was pricy, and for 2 drinks, 2 appetizers, and 1 entree, it was 100 bucks. My only issue was with the deep-fried Calimari. It was so rubbery and hard to chew. By far, the worst I have had in my life. That is the only negative. My pasta was great, the drinks were delicious, and the garlic bread was good.
The food and staff are okay. Good for a date night, light night out, dinner with friends, or just sit at the bar have drinks and watch the game
$140 dinner including tax and tip for 2 people and the quality was not worth the cost imo. The short rib was dry and mashed potatoes lackluster. I liked that the fettuccini was freshly made. Most things undersalted. Overall mediocre execution but good quality ingredients. Our server went above and beyond to make me a mocktail and get a corner booth with our reservation though so I appreciate that! They also have the coolest bartop I've ever seen, like lit up quartz or something haha
Setting the scene: went on a Friday evening; 7:30 reservation. They have a covered tent space with heaters and cute lights set up in their parking lot. Food came at 8:30 Shrimp scampi was delicious. The sausage appetizer is good, the sauce is super tasty, the homemade tzazeki was okay. The lamb gyro was okay as well. I think the lamb seasoning doesn’t resemble what I know lamb gyro to be. The curly fries were good though. My pear martini was super good. The pear taste in the martini was very refreshing to have. Finished eating around 8:45. Got check at 9:05 Service was extremely slow. Either this is how eating out has always been and I just am not accustomed to it another because I don’t eat out much, if at all these days. The staff was nice, just slow.

Food was underwhelming, a bit bland. Pretty sure just about everything is made from scratch, but somehow still mediocre. They did not have the gnocchi on the menu for my visit which was half the reason I came. Overall not worth the price. I get the impression they could do better but don't because the owner is too lazy or busy to come in often for quality checks and the patrons are old and don't know any better, and so are perfectly happy with their dry short ribs reminiscent of a crock pot roast. Might come back just for drinks. The bar looked cool. Specific critiques of my short rib: -dry and stringy, obviously overcooked -only braised completely submerged, no evidence of broiling. Looked like it had been out of the braising liquid for a while and so the outside had hardened a bit. Exterior not very appetizing. -demiglace I think was primarily better than bullion. Kind of thin also. I do not think they added butter, wine, or herbs to it, so it was very one note. - Spinach was watery and the garlic too pungent. Would be better creamed for something like this. -mashed potatoes were flavorless. Not enough butter or cream. No garlic or other seasonings could be detected. -everything was undersalted. Even the butter that came with the bread. -the plate was not heated and the food got cold quickly I list all these in the hopes they will be fixed. Honestly, most require almost no effort, just better quality control. I don't think I'm out of line expecting this given the price. If you have Disneyland kind of money to throw around to see if a restaurant is a fun time, check it out. Maybe you will come on a better day.

Salmon and rice was ok. Calamari was not so great. My mix drink was horrible and as it sits with one sip out of it and I drank my water should be a good thought that maybe the customer wasn’t liking it. I had one before there and it was amazing drink. I probably won’t go back just because of my last visit. Young lady that was there was amazing at her job fyi
I’m writing this because I think management would want to know. Our waiter was openly rude and inattentive—barely checked on our table and was short with other guests too. I asked if there was any Coke Zero or similar option and he looked me up and down, said “No,” and took my menu before I’d even ordered. The difference in how he treated older white guests compared to us was glaring. This wasn’t just “busy night” energy—this felt disrespectful. That said, I’m fair in my reviews: the food was genuinely excellent (9/10). The filet mignon with the reduction sauce was delicious, and the tomato soup was exquisite. It’s frustrating because the kitchen is clearly doing their part—service just didn’t match the quality of the meal.
I have been trying to get to this place for years. I was very disappointed. Food very salty and mushy
I've had Italian Food twice as good for half the price and the main waiter was dismissive.
The food was just okay. Some dishes were overly salty. Given the high reviews, I had higher expectations, but it didn’t quite meet them.
