I was craving just a bit of pasta, as I am trying to do Keto. My fiancee had just been talking about this place with a coworker, unbeknownst to me. I surprised her when we showed up in the parking lot. I looked at Google menu pics and saw the veal.and shrimp dish. This is a dish that no longer happens to be on the menu, but the staff and management are so wonderful and accommodating, that they said their new kitchen staff had never made, but would try for me. They brought the brandy sauce for me to sample, and it was amazing!!! Their Ceasar salad is phenomenal, the veal and shrimp were cooked to perfection, and they use real espresso in their espresso martinis!!!! My new go to spot!!!!
This is by far one if the best restaurants in Naples! The staff are amazing and friendly. The food is scrumptious. It's busy, but they take reservations for parties of 6 or more. Happy hour at the bar is a great deal. Un and friendly. I love this place!
Dinner with my wife and her parents. Very busy for a Tuesday evening! Linguini with clams in white sauce - dozen + clams in the shell devoured by 2 people. Spaghetti bolognese - very good! Great bread and flavored olive oil. The waitress did forget our appetizer - but we barely missed it.
I went a couple months ago forgot to write a review. I just wanted to say how amazing i was treated. They gave me the wrong meal. I dont complain so i did not say much cause well it still was good. After they found out they gave my the wrong meal they told me and i was like yea i kinda knew. They then gave me what I ordered for free to take home, comped my meal they made a mistake on, and gave me my alcohol for free. They were so amazing. I then gave everything they gave me for free to the waitress that made a mistake as a tip because she felt so bad and i felt bad. So not only was the food great even when it isnt what you want that they treat you right here. I am 100% going to go back the second i am back in naples.
While on vacation in Naples, we came across this restaurant on google. We thought we would give it a try and oh my goodness! It was amazing! The chicken parm was just perfect! The staff was so friendly!
We were very pleasantly surprised by Aldo's. We are from NJ so we rarely have Italian food when visiting Naples out of fear of disappointment. Not anymore! Aldo's was delicious and fairly priced. I can't speak to the pizza since we didn't have that but the pasta dishes and appetizers were fabulous. The service was also top notch. Gina was super sweet and patient with the kids. This restaurant can easily be a date night spot, family dinner spot, or a spot for delicious Italian take out. Jersey approved!
We had a great experience at Aldo's. Everything we ordered was brought to our table blisteringly quickly and tasted fresh. A great alternative to any pricy Italian restaurant downtown.
The best italian food we've had in a long time! I had the shrimp scampi and my husband had the veal milanese. Our kids loved their meals too and ate every bite! Everything was so fresh and full of flavor. The staff treats you like you're family and provides great service. We were visiting from Ohio and went to Aldos twice while we were in town because it was so good. We would've gone again if we had the time! Highly recommend this restaurant!!
We love Aldo's. The food is very good. And although they get very busy sometimes, the servers are always polite and attentive. If you haven't been, try visiting during happy hour for a taste. You will definitely return.
Went without a reservation, but they were able to squeeze us in ahead of another reservation. Great choice of menu items and drinks. Enjoyed the fresh side salad with flavorful balsamic dressing. Had a delicious spaghetti bolognese. Fast service and reasonable prices. We'll be back!
Excellent Italian food and service! I had the veal piccata and it was wonderful! It is difficult to find a good tender veal dinner and Aldos has one that is a five star! We made a reservation for a party of 7 - none of us had been to Aldos previously. We all loved the food! We will be back!
We were here visiting for a bachelorette party and let me tell you the staff and the food were absolutely AMAZING! We went in a half hour before closing and they took us in with open arms they gave us an experience we will never forget. The workers bought us a round of shots for our party. Loved this place and welcoming atmosphere! This is a 100% must if you’re in the area or worth the travel!!! ❤️
Our family had our reunion last Sunday at Aldo's. I can't say enough how accommodating they were to our time and family. We had the private room which allowed the "kids" in the family to run and dance and not interfere with their main dining room. The food was delicious and giant servings too. Service could not have been better. I highly recommend it for private parties..
Always delicious with never a disappointing meal.Great staff makes my family and me feel welcome and our waitstaff friends Mark,Rusty and Rosio always treat us like royalty. Jason the mainstay mixologist always there with a smile and a handshake. One of our top three "neighborhood" restaurants. The new decor is superb and the pricing structure more than reasonable for plentiful plates of food and great appetizers. Highly recommended! You WILL go back.
Great food good prices. Robert our waiter was very attentive to our needs and had a great personality. This time was better than our first time. The last time our waitress was clueless and they didnt know how to use the cappuccino machine. Much better experience the second time around. Will go back and ask for Robert again
Yummy Italian food at the bar, great service!
A nice, cozy restaurant. Great atmosphere, and great service. The food was amazing, and the deserts are mouth watering as well! Perfectly priced for the amazing quality and amount of food you get. We are definitely going back, and hope they stay a staple in Naples for a long time to come!
Absolutely Amazing!!! Aldos is top of the top, I can't find any place like it. Best food and a super kind team. Rosa is always wonderful! Chicken Aldos is my favorite and can't be beat by anywhere near or far.
Good Italian Restaurant. All your Italian classic dishes. Good appetizers and deserts. Good cocktails and drinks , Excellent happy hour for drinks and appetizers. Good portions and reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Overall, one of the better Italian restaurants in naples considering the reasonable prices.
I have been eating here for 20 years. Consistently fantastic! If I leave a Naples visit without Aldo’s—-I am sad. Mussels/clams marinara to start… chicken Aldo’s to finish! From bread to martinis—first class all the way!
This was the hands down best dinner we’ve had in Naples in a very long time and we have been everywhere. Excellent service (I think her name was Melissa). Pizza was better than anything on 5th. The crust was perfection and pizza had zero flop. The spaghetti and meatballs were delicious. The bread, dipping oil, wedding soup and perfect Caesar salad were spot on. I can’t wait to go back!
We all celebrate as our team..15 players plus parents well done.
Rosie took great care of us! The food is delicious and their happy hour is perfect. Every time we come, it smells amazing. I highly recommend coming here.
Recent birthday group received excellent service from the waitress from Long Island. All entrées arrived timely & selections were enjoyed by all. Nice location.
First time there. I walked in ordering a Pizza to go. Very busy place and they did their best to accommodate the crowd. The pizza was good. Crust was a little too dry for me but that’s a personal preference. I will return and order something they specialize in. There wasn’t enough sauce on the pizza to give a true review. I highly recommend that establishment!
Great Italian restaurant in Naples! Service is always great; very friendly! We have only ordered pizza, but it has been great every time. Have ordered pizza for both on the patio and for take out (recommend the Margherita Pizza - great crust and sauce!). Very nice little patio area. While only ordered pizza, the menu has several great items and we've enjoyed the drinks from the menu. Highly recommended.
I enjoyed this place. Their Calamari was very good. It was fresh and fried just enough. I ordered the penne vodka with chicken which was also very good. You’ll find dime-a-dozen type Italian restaurants off of the main drag and this is one that’s worth trying. There’s a reason why it’s always packed.
I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of my meal at Aldos Naples. After we sat down fresh hot bread was brought to our table along with delicious oil and Parmesan. I had chicken soup and lasagna bolognese, my friend has spaghetti with sausage and salad. Considering the quality, the price is reasonable. There was also plenty of room for bigger groups. You must try this place, we’re going to the Fort Myers location next time, it’s a bit closer.
This has become our new Friday evening spot for pasta and pizza. The service provided by Kenny was exceptional and above and beyond. Tried the Gorgonzola white pizza for the first time and it did not disappoint. A great restaurant if you are in the area. Highly recommend.
We had the rigatoni and lasagna. The dishes were wonderful. The marinara sauce tasted homemade. Good amount of cheese. Even the olive oil dipping sauce had garlic pieces and fresh parsley. We highly recommend the tiramisu. Our server did a fantastic job. The experience was great. Our host checked up on us. Will definitely come back again.
Russell S did a wonderful job with a wine situation. He went above and beyond to make sure I got the right one. He listened to me about my concerns and didn’t treat me like a complaining customer. Food was delicious as always. Staff is always friendly. Glad we live close enough to visit often.
This place is the absolute best! From service, to atmosphere, and of course the food, I have always had a great visit and come here often! If you haven’t been to Aldo’s, you are so missing out!
Kenny was a very attentive server, we will ask for him again! We had the early bird special. We started with a chocolate martini and an espresso martini! The bartender gives a nice pour! My husband ordered the lasagna which was several layers of cheesy homemade noodles. Delicious! I had the chicken Marsala. Again delicious! We had a carafe of the house Chianti, a great value. For dessert we each had a cannoli and an Irish coffee! Great service from Kenny and a delicious dining experience! Come for the specials and happy hour, you will not be disappointed!
We were very impressed with our dinners tonight! We ordered from the two for 34.00 menu and all four dishes were delicious. Good wine, great service and we love the new half circle booths ! We definitely will not wait so long to return again. Thank you Aldos for making this a wonderful night for us !
This was my first time at Aldos. We waited about 20 to 30 minutes. We were told by customers, leaving that it was worth the wait. We were not disappointed. The wood was good. They were busy but still gave good customer service. I would highly recommend giving them a try.
Food incredible, really quiet environment, perfect for family dinner!!! It is a hide gem in the city.
Awesome place! Food was really good! Definitely coming back! They had a special going on when we went which was amazing! Highly recommend. Spaghetti and lasagna we had was top tier. Service was fast with a very comfortable atmosphere
We stumbled over this gem of a restaurant about 9 months ago and just love it. The food is true Italian food, just like we would have in NY and NJ. The service is top notch. Erick, our absolute favorite server, is second to none. Personable, smart, attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and just an all around good guy. We are thrilled every time we are seated at one of his tables. The menu choices are plentiful, plus a very generous happy hour menu as well. The atmosphere is lively and if you want to dine at the bar, it’s there for you. We have become frequent patrons and will continue to visit. The bread and olive oil dipping mixture, I almost forgot! Incredible.
Came here first time with some friends on recommedation from my neighbor. Got here at 6:15 not knowing about the half price specials till 6:30. Ordered our food from the full Italian menu asap. The calamari and pizza appetizers were on our table in less then 10 minutes and both were delicious. All the food was delicious and large portions. You know your in a real Italian place when there's very good home made bread and garlic olive oil on the table. Best Italian food in Naples and reasonably priced. Super fast service as well in less than 30 minutes we had our entire meal. Will come back again and again.
We've eaten there a few times before and the food is always great. This last time it took a while for someone to get to her table, but when she got there she made up for it and apologized. We had the Snapper picatta and enjoyed it.
This is one of the BEST dinners that I've had on a long time!! Fantastic. I had the lobster and crab ravioli. Eric, our server, did a great job. All of the service was superb. Accolades to all at Aldo's.
Four of us were there last night and all four (different) meals were fabulous! Service was excellent. Magdalena was our waitress - very efficient! I highly recommend this restaurant.
We were disappointed we couldn’t make reservations for parties less 6 but we were fortunate enough to dine early enough not to wait for a table. Attentive staff and nice atmosphere. Obvious that a lot of regulars dine here often and are genuinely happy to be there. We started w/ the Italian wedding soup. Golden broth, w/ spinach and pearl pasta had us licking the bowl clean. I had the Chicken aldo w/ red peppers, mushrooms, artichokes in a pink pepper sauce over penne pasta. The runner who brought it offered to bring back freshly grated Parmesan and of course I took advantage of that. It was hot, appetizing and plentiful plate of deliciousness! My husband had a chicken dish in a broth like sauce while very good he was disappointed w/ his choice liking something heartier. But he blamed himself on his choice. Choosing to do dry January I asked if the bartender had any mocktails he could make. Our waiter came back and said no but I could have a Shirley temple if desired. I declined, disappointing. Sometimes I feel popular restaurants don’t bother to up their game, to add something new to their drink menus as why change if things are working as we’ve always done. I caution that thinking. Clientele changes, healthier choices, designated drivers, recovering alcoholics, people participating in dry January are not going away and should be embraced.
Madalina was a wonderful server and gave us great food recommendations. She was very attentive to our group of 8. We had such. Great experience, and the food was amazing! Highlighy recommend eating here!
Our server was Stacey. Great service. Husband had veal saltimbocca, our friend had chicken Francese, and I had fish of the day Bacoli. We had a corner table by the window, which was very nice. It would have been a little cool for our guest to dine outside. Everyone loved their meals. Would recommend getting there early. We were there at 5 pm within 15-20 minutes people were being seated left and right. No tables left where we were seated by 5:45. Recommend getting there a little before or at 5 pm. Would recommend this restaurant.
Recently went in for a birthday date night and we are so happy we went. Food was AMAZING, service was GREAT. Prices were fair. I can’t remember the last time we spent under $100 including tip for drinks, app, and entrees. We LOVED everything. I don’t understand how this place does not have 5 stars. The best chicken franchise I have ever had since leaving home in NJ. My boyfriend said his penne vodka is now his favorite, salad was fresh and dressing is delicious. Bread and oil was so delicious we wanted to bottle it and fried mozzarella was soo good. I don’t usually dip in the sauce and this sauce we couldn't get enough of. Almost ordered again the following night. Lucky enough to live 5 minutes away…We will be back!
Crazy good Italian. As always in a great Italian meal the bread with oil/herbs/garlic and Ceasar Salad to start were the highlight for me. Lightly breaded tender fish as the special of the day was excellent. The name Aldo's will ring true as soon as you approach the front door!
We would come here more often if it wasn't on the other side of town. My dad introduced this gem to my brother and I when he was still alive, because of that we celebrate my brother's birthday here very year. Yesterday we also celebrated Father's Day and my brother's birthday :) Food was mouth watering delicious as always and we're always ready to dig in so no pictures unfortunately. Service was spectacular (as always) and they really make a fuss (small firework candle and all!) for birthday celebrations :) Our only complaint is that it's on the other side of town. Great atmosphere as well, casual dress or dress up, either or this establishment does not disappoint.
We had reservations for a group of 11. We were seated quickly. Our server was Rusty and he was pleasant, efficient, and accommodating. We had drinks and bread with their amazing seasoned olive oil. Dinners come with soup or salad, and dinner orders were chicken Parmigiana, chicken francese, veal francese, chicken saltimbocca veal marsala, and linguine& clams. We have dined here many, many times over the past 7 years that we have visited Naples. The food is very good, but the portions of the meat are smaller. Also one person ordered a side of plain spaghetti and was charged $14 which is really outrageous, so be forewarned about that. They will provide separate checks, which we do tip extra for. We do recommend Aldos.
Aldo's is a very good Italian restaurant. I would suggest going for dinner early as they get very busy and on this evening the kitchen got backed up. My lasagna Bolognese was delicious and the bread dipped in oil was perfect
Six of us went for dinner. The food was absolutely delicious. The red sauce (gravy) is some of the best I’ve had. My friend had a dish with the vodka sauce on it, she was also delighted. The portions are a nice size and we all had leftovers. Will definitely be back…the place was packed on a Sunday night!!
it's our first time and we celebrated Dominick's birthday here. thank you for the free vanilla ice cream. wish we learned the name of our server. i guess she forgot to introduce herself.
This is our favorite spot for date night and tonight was amazing (it’s amazing always) but Chris our server was fantastic. Restaurant was very busy but he made sure we were well taken care of. I always recommend this place to people and will continue to do so!
Sat within 5 - 10 minutes. Good Italian food and Pizza. We had chicken parm with pasta. Had to wait for bread but we'll still go back again . Right around corner from home.
I had a amazing experience with my wife at aldos. We ordered the chicken francese and so did my wife. But our lovely waitress Ashley made our night fantastic. I rarely see a waitress that can balance on making sure all our needs are met and making our visit unique and enjoyable. She is really one of kind individual and I feel Aldos is lucky to have her.
I had never been to Aldos before but my friends had been there so many times that they had favorite dishes they always order. I order the antpasto salad that was so large more than half came home and a 10in cheese pizza that was still hot when I received it the cheese was still melting ( I loved it) half of that came home with me. I have to give a hats off to our server Christopher. He was very attentive and funny and we enjoyed his service. Now a negative and it is only my preference was not having claret sauce for the spumoni ice cream and because of that I didn't order any. Please get some claret sauce!! 😋 Just an FYI for anyone reading this. Arrive early because when we left there was a wait.
Aldo's is one of our favorite Italian restaurants in Naples. The food, atmosphere, and service are always excellent. The menu is large and the drinks are great. They are not overpriced like many other places in town and they are extremely constant with the great food and excellent service. We found this gem about 3 years ago and eat there at least once a week.
A total Gem! Chicken Piccata was awesome. Great sauce. Excellent Happy Hour Specials. Charming atmosphere
The food was really good with decent portions. Our server was very nice and took good care of us while we were there. Definitely recommend.
Awesome food, I mean really good food! I ordered soup, came with bread and nice oil, and for my entree I ordered lasagne bolognese. excellent! Good service, and fast to the table. Everyone working and eating there seemed very happy. A lot of people in larger parties coming in to eat. I’m working in the area for a few months. I ate there alone, better suited for parties greater than 1… I share that as some restaurants are more comfortable for single diners. they do have a bar/counter that I should of sat at and will do that next time. I look forward to returning before I leave the Naples area.
It was our first time here and we sat at the bar. The artichoke appetizer was a really good choice. The Napoli pizza was delicious. The side Caesar salad was good. The menu offered many salads. My husband LOVED his clam dish. We ordered too much and our bill reflected that. Our fridge is now filled with yummy leftovers. Overall, I give it a thumbs up. We will be back!
If I could give this place 10 stars I would!!! I came here this week with my parents, and the service, atmosphere, and food were great and very affordable! I would especially recommend this place to those who have allergies. My mom is allergic to everything under the sun lol - so she needs food that hasn’t been marinated or premade so she knows there are no spices or oils that might cause her to have a reaction. This is hard to find in a restaurant and often people are not very understanding. But as soon as she told the server the server had a very “can do” attitude and told us they could make anything just from scratch without the spices and marinades etc. the manager also came out just in case since my mom wondered what was in the pasta and they let her know the ingredients which she was able to have and was very relieved that she could actually get something she wasn’t allergic to and that she would enjoy. The staff was very accommodating and attentive to our needs and didn’t make her feel bad or a burden which often is the case. This is very hard to find in a place to eat as it can be frustrating I’m sure for the staff to accommodate but everyone at Aldo’s was so kind and helpful it made it such a pleasant experience!!!! I can’t stress enough how kind the staff was! Now on to the food! I got the shrimp scampi and my dad got the chicken Aldos. It was amazing and full of flavor!!!!! Oh and the bread was like it was made by the gods! It was so fresh along with the oil and smelled divine! Honestly I could have just eaten the bread with the oil and I’d be in heaven. This is such a nice place to go to - for a date or something casual. and I will definitely be going back and recommending it to everyone. Thank you Aldos for making our experience so pleasant!!!
Lots of great food to try! If you’re in the area, make sure to swing through and try Aldo’s! This is one of our favorite Italian spots. It has one of those menus that you just can’t go wrong. We’ve had the pizza, bruschetta, French onion soup, lasagna, and chicken fettuccini. All were delish and would go back for. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is fun! There is typically a wait to get a table, so plan accordingly.
What a great night with great food and great service. Ashley our server was attentive and in good spirits throughout. Me and my hubby both tried veal for the first time and are sold. He got veal parmesan and I got veal francese. Appetizer came out first, one minute after we were done with that came the salads, one minute after that came our entree. Everything was timed out perfectly by the kitchen. Martini was magnifique. Gives you the nice dinner outing feel but still a TV there in case you get bored. Will definitely be returning.
Went there for lunch while shopping on fifth. They don't have a tremendous lunch menu, it is more their dinner menu with a few sandwiches added. So everything is priced for dinner for the most part. We were just looking for a light lunch so we opted to share two flatbreads between three people which was plenty! These were definitely two people flats. We ordered the seafood one which my friend loved! it came with mussels, clams, shrimp, and scallops. And I ordered the mushroom and goat cheese, had a little truffle oil and arugula. It was good just needed more truffle oil.
We went to Aldos for a Sunday evening happy hour, quite the experience. The food was good and we were a large group consisting of 14 people, and we were all served basically at the same time. The food was hot, and I can't complain. It was another quality meal in Florida, and was surprising for being in the shopping center. If you are in the area I would suggest a visit.
Nice people ,, but they took away a nice special and now they have appetizers as specials. To be honest they were pretty bad appetizers. Muscles and clams in a mud sauce, We tried a few and not happy. We will not go back for a while. I hope they read this and bring back the old menu. (just raise the price)
First time here. For dinner, had some HARD bread served with delicious olive oil & seasonings (waited apologized). Followed with Italian Wedding Soup which was good. Then had Crab/Lobster Ravioli, also good. Will need to go back see if they can do better. Not bad, though. And.. Reasonably priced.
Good very good, kind of nice inside red checkered tablecloth and cozy We walked in and were shown to our table very early around 3:40. Mi wife asked if we could change to an open booth. The server woman seems aggravated with the request, but reluctantly made it. Then hoping we would not have her as our server we were happy to get our new server Chris. What a super good guy, nothing was a problem. He was a pleasure and @ 20 years old he was as good if not better than most. Thanks Chris.
First time at Aldos Italian Table and Bar. It didn't disappoint. All staff that we interacted with were very friendly and professional. The meals were outstanding and reasonably priced. We're going to make it a point to come here every time we visit Naples. It's our new favorite Italian restaurant!
Dined here for the 3rd time and liked it again. Had the 'Penne Aldos' but didn't care much for it. Loved what I had on prior visits, so this wasn't charactoristic. Waiter asked how I liked it and saw I'd only eaten a little of it, but asked if I'd like something else so I had a bowl of baked ziti instead, which was great. Good service and would recommend.
Interior is really nice. It’s pizza but they also offer entrees. Marcos, our server, suggested the meatball appetizer and it was really good. Appetizer came out quickly, entree much longer. Chicken Francaise had a lemon caper sauce , it was great. Pasta was slightly undercooked. They are in the process of changing ownership so no liquor, only one glass of wine or beer per customer. This will change once the new owners get their liquor license.Atmosphere and location is great( close to FGCU) , definitely good for couples, families, and groups.Worth checking out.
It was late when I arrived. There was a party, some kids screaming. The service was very good, the food wasn't bad. It is not as nice as I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, I have been in neighborhood restaurants that were more elaborate than this one. From the outside one would think it was better. Continuous improvement is needed here.
The so called musical band that played tonight ruined our dining experience. The service was good and she did her job and the food was delicious but the band ruined any peace we could have while enjoying our food.
My wife and I had a good experience. The eggplant 🍆 parmigiana was excellent and so was the chicken Marsala. The service was very good, the waitress was pleasant and responsive. Much better deal during happy hour. We will be going back.
Argh, another disappointing experience here! I ordered last fall and it was not great, but I figured I would try one more time before updating my review. We called in the order, a small (personal size) cheese pizza for $8.99. We were told it would be a 25-30 minute wait. We got there at the 25 minute mark and it took another 20 minutes for the pie to come out. 45 minutes to order and pick up a small pizza??? My husband wondered if they did not place the order until he walked in to pick it up. The pizza was not good, tough crust and hard to chew. Toppings were really skimpy. I don't know what happened to the nice pizza with more cheese that I had here back in 2016 that you could fold. I should have done what my dad suggested and just ordered from the nearby Little Caesar's. I was pretty disappointed with my last two visits here and won't be ordering again.
This was our first experience at Aldos. There are no online reservations so I called and left a message for a reservation for our party of 4. I never heard back and found out when we arrived that reservations are only for parties of 6 or more. A simple returned phone call to alert me to this as it's not listed on the website would have been appreciated. The gentleman at the outdoor check-in was pleasant and we were seated in about 20-25 minutes. The restaurant was crowded and the tables were packed very close together. Our server, Erick, was likewise pleasant and helpful. We started with the calamari appetizer, which was excellent. The bread that was brought to the table was delicious and was served with a fabulous garlic olive oil. Things unfortunately went downhill quickly with our entrees, however. The house salad and dressing were non-descript, although the ingredients were fresh. My wife enjoyed her Italian wedding soup. My veal marsala was awful. The veal itself was full of gristle and much less than enjoyable to eat (what I could eat) and was accompanied by very little marsala sauce. I found this extremely disappointing as I always look forward to excellent veal at an Italian restaurant. The accompanying angel hair pasta was again non-descript and I would be surprised if it was house-made. My wife found her chicken Aldo to be bland, although she did enjoy the accompanying broccolini. One of our dinner partners ordered the grouper special, which unfortunately arrived with a very small piece of fish. All in all this was a disappointing experience, much less than anticipated.
Ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza here and it was pretty bad. Maybe when you order takeout the steam from the box just makes the crust go doughy, but this was particularly unappealing. Tonight I ordered a Caesar salad and spaghetti with meatballs and sausage. It arrived with one giant meatball and an Italian sausage cut about 3 inches in length. The Caesar salad was delicious frankly, and I think they have a very good dressing. The spaghetti was mediocre and I was surprised that there was barely any marinara sauce on it. One thing you shouldn't have to ask for at an Italian restaurant is to get enough sauce for the pasta. The meatball was something that I threw away because it was nearly white in color and very mushy, with not a lot of taste. The Italian sausage was delicious. I like the bar area here, although it only has 9-10 seats, but it's a nice area to stop in and have a drink. I just haven't had a lot of good experiences here with the food, other than ordering the Caesar salad in a few appetizers.
A party of six. Two people ordered the lasagna. The lasagna had no meat, the pasta was like stuck together paste with no filling in between layers, no cheese or sauce. The meatball was dry and tasteless. Strongly recommend you go elsewhere.
I find this place kind of blah. The chicken isn't fresh grilled for the pasta. Long wait for everything. The bread with dipping oil was the best part of the meal.
6PM dinner with friends. No welcoming smiles from the greeter or the waiter. The instant (not yet lifted a napkin or menu) we sat down the waiter asked for the drink order. We asked him to give us a minute to look over the menu. Ordered dinners and only 3 out of 4 salads arrived and ate before the 4th was delivered. When the main meals arrived 3 out of 4 once again with a 4-5 minute delay before the last meal was served. We split the bill between 2 couples so we didn’t look closely but when we got home an extra glass of wine was added to the bill. In addition an extra salad was charged that should have been included with the meal.
I personally did not enjoy anything ordered from my first visit here. The pasta dishes that my partner and I had were very “watery” and tasted like nothing. The bread was not even toasted and was very hard to eat. The calamari had to have been frozen before they brought it out and had no flavor. The only thing I enjoyed was the burrata which didn’t even need to be cooked. However, I am grateful to be able to write this review and could hope that the management of the restaurant sees this as an opportunity to improve. The staff was kind and attentive. Pricing was average of Naples but I would not come back here to eat.
The staff could certainly be more informative when a guest is ordering food. I ordered my dish with gluten-free noodles and was never told that there was a five dollar up charge. Nor did they tell me that my noodles would be cooked hard, although they said it was on the menu Who reads that stuff. And when I asked for a little extra sauce on my dish to go, they were going to charge me for that as well. I will never return to this restaurant.
Went for dinner with family 2-20-26 fir family birthday 1st of all we made a reservation for 730 And tried to tell us we have a wait when u have a reservation you should have your table ready Which all of sudden we had a table in the back dark lightening we all had to use our phones to see the menus Service waiter was Russel I don’t know where he learned his customer service But it sucked Who tells a customer not to order pizza cause it will take an hour we were shocked who says that My sister stated light on the sauce on her meal and Russel proceeded to say to her Don’t worry it will be ok The Aldo’s board was horrible the meat was old Also veal parm was nasty The sauce looked like ketchup I can go on and on about other food items But the best was when you get your bill and the credit it card is sitting and you are reviving the receipt Russel decided to just pick it up and run it through Rude I have never in my life seen such RUDE customer service I think Russel needs to learn some Also The staff clothing attire is dirty I will not return to this restaurant And we are in the restaurant business And we are Italian we know Russel learn how to speak to people with a little respect Or find another job
Not much of an anniversary celebration… Aldo’s has been here several years under different owners. We like the pizza normally. We came for a family anniversary so we all had entrees. The calamari appetizer was tough, the salads covered the bottom of the bowl. The Italian Wedding soup was good. The Marsala sauce was bland with canned mushrooms. Pasta ratio seemed high. If we come back, it will be for a pizza.
Extremely disappointed with our service tonight at Aldo’s. Mark, our server, was very unprofessional & rude when we questioned whether we received our 2nd glass of wine with the early dining special. It turns out we were wrong but he was very rude when we questioned it. We had brought family in to meet us for dinner and were very embarrassed at the service. The manager stepped in and smoothed things over and provided us with another server who was both pleasant and professional! Doubt if we’ll return anytime soon!
We have eaten at Aldo’s for more than 10 years. It was always our favorite dining spot. Tonight we invited our friends to join us and had the worst meal ever. The veal Francais was served with a milky sauce (we have never experienced before) and our party of 6 received 3 entrees that were COLD! When we complained and ask to speak to the manager we were told the manager (who is employed there for less than 2 months) was too busy to speak with us and would call us tomorrow. We asked to speak to Aldo the owner, but by 6:45 pm he had gone home for the day. We were not offered any compensation or apologies for the inadequate meals. This may be our last dinner at Aldo’s. Too many great restaurants in Naples to spend $ here when nobody seems to care.
Walking into the restaurant and asked if they were open and the bartender said yes and I said I wanted to order to go. He said there are menus outside. I walked outside and back in to order a drink while I was deciding. Marly, the waitress, was super sweet and attentive. I received my order to go go and didn’t check it. Got home and my husband tried the order that was to be eggplant, but was chicken. Mistakes happen and I get that. Called back and they said they would replace it. I showed up and the manager asked me where is the chicken? I replied that no one told me to bring it back!!! I’ve never been asked to bring back a meal. I wouldn’t travel 30+ minutes to get a second meal. I felt like she was questioning my integrity and treated like I was lying. I’ve never had this happen. I came back home, packed up the uneaten chicken parmigiana and returned it. She never apologized and I left the chicken for someone else!!! I’ll never return.
Well I’ve been here to before and to be honest it’s the only reason I’m writing this review. They have done better with other food in the past but my review is about the pizza. It was one of the worst I’ve ever had and they need to find a way to improve this. The pizza had CANNED mushrooms and banana peppers seemed like they were out on after it cooked. How can any place saying they serve Italian style pizza put CANNED mushrooms on it? The pizza was soggy and when it was picked up, all the cheese and whatever toppings were on it slid off. Really?? You can do better so just do it. Sorry to be so harsh but if this was my first experience, I’d never go back.
Sorry to say this local place, did not take care of a few locals. We had a party of 8 and gladly got put ourselves on the waiting list, and was told that there was a 45min wait. No problem. We talked and waited our turn. At approximately the 40min mark, we noticed patrons that came after us(parties of 4 to 6) were being sat before us.When we asked at the outside podium, the very nice young lady said we were next, as the app told us. The older gentleman was told the same by the young lady and he said to her "I can get more out of the 4-6 tops, then us". We proceeded to wait another 15 minutes before leaving. It's sad because we went there at least 10-12 times last year with great service. I feel bad for the servers as well because they will loose out on our local money when Season is over. It's the locals who help keep the business going off season. So the fact that they would literally leave us outside in the cold and state that the smaller parties will give them "more" is not only inappropriate but will also cost them much more in the long run. Needless to say, they not only lost my business, but also my small group of friends and Family that live here year-round. But that's only 35 people or so. Good Luck, our money spends well elsewhere and always will from now on.
Food was terrible. Lasagna had no meat, cheese ravioli barely had cheese. Pasta saltimbocca was barely warm, the fettuccine was on same dish wine sauce, barely 2 fingers of spinach, mystery meat had a sour taste. Strongly recommend u go elsewhere.
