Food was DELICIOUS, fresh, and quick. Drinks great. Service over the top. Kari is wonderful, friendly and quick with service. Thank you
So I came here after hearing from the Forest Hills community group that it just opened. Met one of the owners, Adriana, so lovely!! She and her two sisters run the family owned business (moved from a Queens Blvd location due to large building construction). I just felt like a healthy vegetarian option today but they have a delicious and fresh selection of food.
since moving to forest hills, i’ve been relatively unimpressed with the food / dining options in the neighborhood until eating here. we got the pollo a la brasa combo with rice, beans, plantains, salchipapas and it was the first meal that really made me excited! the food was delicious and well priced. this restaurant is also run by an adorable couple and the wife does the cooking in the back. definitely recommend to anyone considering - we will be back!
I ordered the lentil soup grilled chicken with beans and plantains. Delicious chicken, exquisite lentil soup one of the best I have had in a while, non spicy and with enough broth. All was really tasty and not salty or hot.
Definitely a hidden gem. Nestled all the way at the end of Austin Street, a must try for those who enjoy Peruvian food. Food was excellent, price was not high whatsoever for the quality of food. My party and I started with the beef empanadas and I have to say they were the best empanadas I’ve ever had. The puff pastry was the perfect texture and the filling was just delicious. Clearly made in house and with lots of love. For our mains, we got the Lomo Salgado and salmon with veggies. The Lomo was excellent, and a nice portion for only $20. The salmon and veggies were also very good. We finished off with a thick slice of Flan which was a nice palette cleanser. I’ll for sure be coming back to explore the rest of the menu, I’m sure I’ve only scratched the surface.
This is one of my favorite spots in Queens. Food is ALWAYS amazing, portion sizes are fantastic, and the staff are always extremely nice and very attentive. Whether from the brunch menu or the dinner/lunch, I always enjoy every bite. They also have Inca Cola, a must with many of the meals.
We had such a great experience! The food was absolutely delicious, the drinks were phenomenal, and the service was even better. We were a large group and even came with three toddlers and an infant, and the staff couldn’t have been more kind and accommodating. They were so patient and welcoming, which made the whole meal so much more enjoyable for us. We’ve tried many Peruvian restaurants in New York, and this one has definitely been added to our favorites rotation. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be coming back!
Food tasted really really good. First time dining here and having this cuisine. Loved the fresh dragonfruit lemonade, the Spinish and cheese empanadas and the fish that I ordered (Pescado a La Chorrillana). Portions were great and the food was fresh. Even the plantains and yucca fries were some of they best I've had. Really impressed and hope to come back soon!
I'm giving this a 3 stars because there was nothing Peruvian about this restaurant. One try is enough. I ordered the Chaufa Mariscos (seafood fried rice), sweet plantains and french fries. The food sadly lacked flavor and was heavy on the salt. For the hefty price it was absolutely not worth the drive. The only thing I enjoyed was the sweet plantains. The rice had clam shells all in it. I was crunching on God knows what. I trust my taste buds and if this simple dish lacked flavor, I will not bother with anything else. The green hot sauce is my fave and even that was not tasty. I'd honestly prefer to drive to NJ for my Peruvian food fix. But this spot is a two thumbs down.
This is about and order placed online at 1:55 pm with expected time the latest 2:40 PM Chicken, rice, beans. 3 PM and the order is not ready Will never shop here again Update The restaurant is trying to blame Seamless about their mess. It was the driver who was at the restaurant waiting for so long who sent me a message requesting to contact the restaurant due to their delay. I call and a unprofessional female answered saying that they were busy (no apology). She also said that my order was not ready and not sure when it would be. 1 hour 30 minutes later A chicken, rice and bean (always are pre made) were not ready for the delivery guy and I requested to cancel The food never arrived home.
I ordered delivery the whole chicken combo ,to my surprise the whole chicken size was super small like a Cornish chicken size it was good the seasoning and the side dishes ok but I won’t order again due to the size of the chicken
I’m was a regular customer and today I wanted to try their delivery service on DoorDash. I paid for a side of plantains which was $8 and I called them to see if they can’t switched for rice which was $7.50, they say no even when I was paid more for it. Besides that, very rude service on the phone. I tried to cancel my order due to their rude attitude and they only allowed $6 refund because “they made the food already” after spending $47 in their business… The order was canceled literally 2 min after being placed… Anyways, good thing DoorDash gave me the complete refund. Today they lost a very frequent customer for a stupid business policy and also try to take advantage on cancellations.
Portion is ridiculous for that I could have gone to the Chinese takeout and had a decent plate of food. The portion is ridiculous I repeat!!!! I should have listened to all the reviews on Google, but I wanted to give it a fair chance very disappointed not what I expected at all when I walked into the restaurant everything looked decent, but I sat in the back and I waited for my food to come out what was a complete shock was all of the dirty plates sitting in a cart, dirty plate with food on top of more dirty plates and food you could smell spoiled. Small white rice with small plate with the fries and meat more fries I could barely count the pieces of meat.
NEVER AGAIN ! I came in at 5:30 and ordered 3 dishes, I was told 30 minutes. That’s a long time for pickup but understandable since there were other people. But then, the people that came in after us got their food 20 minutes before us !!! When we ordered 10 minutes before them and ordered smaller and simpler meals, they got big seafood plate and an entire rotisserie chicken. I ordered 2 pollo salados, which is fries chicken and rice, i don’t understand why it took so long for something so simple and other people are getting gourmet meals in 15 minutes. I waited 45+ minutes sitting there waiting for a mediocre meal that was made with two different types of fries, obviously frozen ! I will add images. Not only did I come in at 5:30 and got my food at 6:20. The staff were not kind at all. I could barely communicate with the waitress. Once your a regular they think they can take advantage, and take a ridiculous amount of time and don’t even bother to use basic customer service skills. No compensation for the terrible experience . Everything is also so dirty ! Instead of trying to be understanding, the waiter instead proceeded to tell me there’s nothing he can do, maybe compensation for wasting my time??? Should’ve canceled the order when it came out. Never going back again to pay ridiculous prices for frozen old food. 40$ for this, and then they wanna charge extra for a little bit of sauce with an attitude and no regard for the experience I just had.
