Love this place. The outside patio is fantastic. They have hookah and its just a really chill place to connect with friends and have a good time.

Social distancing very doable with the outdoor seating, servers were fast but took time to get our coals exchanged for the hookah. Get there on time because there will be a line after 10:30/11pm. I'm glad they are not pouring people in like Prospect Park down the street. I pulled up there and drove out immediately....no social distancing at Prospect Park at all!!

I really love this place, I go often, meanwhile I been there, I never see nothing wrong, great music, the place is clean, the waitress majority are good (no all of them 1 or 2 maybe think that you can't be generous with the tip ) besides that I always recommend this place.

Really nice bar! Hookahs, drinks, nice music. I enjoyed it a lot. The food was pretty good, took some time but who cares when you have your drink and friends with you. They have valet outside to park your car, self parking too for free. In general I liked it, will be back defenetly!

This was my go to place when I wanted to go smoke hookah back in the days. I met some awesome bartenders and waitresses here. Patio is a plus. I love the belly dance show and they used to have a samba dancer as well!

Good place to hang out with friends or just by yourself. Dancing floor is small but nice, they have a nice patio to relax and enjoy a drink . Manager Alberto is very professional and nice . Food menu is small but enough to grab a bite. Recommended

Second time back, and great service. This time Melanie was very attentive and excellent server. I had 2 martinis, one dirty martini and one apple martini. Thanks girl for the extra requested plate of olives. The bartender hooked it up. Melanie recommended the mango hookah, very good. The Latin music and rap music was enjoyable, the dj had good taste in choices. Came here on a Sunday night. Great experience overall!

Cafe Europe has always been one of my hangout spots, I like slow and quiet days to relax and hide from the traffic. Drinks are really good from the bar, food is decent I think they just need to work on the hookah a little bit more and have a bigger restroom.

This is an interesting coffee house / lounge, there are a lot of different kinds of people that visit so it's a really good example of Houston's diversity. Also the strip mall has some great restaurants all around, so it's a good place to walk around and check out some diverse foods

The few times I have been here the place was not too busy. It is a nice place to chill, smoke hookah, and have a drink. If you are hungry, they also serve delicious food until late at night.

I came here before and they weren’t packed like I thought it would be. It was a Friday night and me and my coworkers wanted a drink and some finger food. Nice little night area but that night the service was slow though!

Was here with two friends last night Wednesday the 27th. Ambiance, music, and hookah were enjoyable. My only problem is with the service.Our server was not that attentive and actually left her shift without even telling us. She had my friends card and I.D. to start the tab. We had to track down the guy heating up the coals and another server to get coals changed and our check. That is so unprofessional and I'll never ask for her again. The girl with the b/w vans(Sophia? long curly hair?) was nice and helped us.

First time here, cute Hookah Lounge concept and has a club-like section separate from the lounge arae. The hookah was flavored well. I will be back for just the hookah alone! Drinks were good too, not sure of the cost since my cousin paid for everything, but he stated everything seemed priced well. Our waitress was nice, not too friendly/talkative but she was thorough. Great ladies night, co-ed group, or pre-gamer vibe and located near other great Westheimer & Richmond eateries and bars too. (Four stars because it did take a while to get someone to change our coals.)

I love this place! I bring old and new friends here because it's a great place to have drinks, hookah, and listen to some hit music and dance occasionally on their dance floor. The staff is friendly. A lot of them do not speak English well because they are genuinely European or Asian. But I like it. They get their orders correct and are usually attentive. The only complaint I have was that as I visited once, I opened a tab with no issues. They didn't ask for my credit card upfront. Then a second time I went, I was asked for my credit card upfront to open a tab just because I was with my hippie friend... So I think you should have a policy of asking everyone for their cc upfront or not at all and not just ask those who look sketchy. That's profiling and I don't appreciate it as I'm an engineer and make decent money... Usually my tab is no less than $70 when I go to Cafe Europe ...

This place has a lot of potential. I didn't see many people there which was discouraging but the place was amazing. The dance floor and vip area was on point. They'll need more business to stay around but they've made a customer out of me.

The music was ok. The drinks are deHowever they announced that Wednesday nights the first drink for the girls is on the DJ. We didn't get our first drink free.

3 stars for the exceptional sections, outdoor seating and the cheap but quality hookas. Other than that it's a weird place, middle eastern boss and staff so they have different rituals like asking for your card to open your tab, not being able to cancel orders, slow staff, interesting indoor seating order.

OK little place. It was raining on and off so we didn't sit outside, but looks to have more seating out than in. Music was at an OK level to be able to talk with your friends but they were playing only Latin (Spanish language) music...Not too crowded, but maybe rain was contributing factor...worth trying out again! Bar food was hot and seemed pretty fresh, but nothing to special...I'd think if its a European themed bar, they'd have more European foods...

Very chill environment. Service is not always the best. Went on a date with a first time visitor and waited 20 min to even take an order. The food is definitely not great so I dont recommend eating if your a person that enjoys real food. DJ is always great. Indoor and outdoor seating. Very diverse and too hoodish. Hookah is very tasty and drinks are good. I can usually chill her for quit some time and if I really really want to turn up, I do go elsewhere.

Well, I liked the place a lot. Good service. Good entertainment, they had a Brazilian girl with her carnival costume dancing for everyone, very cool. The 3 starts are for the drinks. Bad bad bad bad! I asked for an apple martini and it tasted only like straight apple sour, I asked for a replacement and it was no different. So I asked for a patron margarita and it was no good at all. I will definitely will go back, but I'll order a beer next time ;)

Nice spot to hang out. Free parking is usually easy to find. You can decide between their outdoor sitting for a chill vibe or be inside to have access to a more “club vibe environment”. Prices are pretty decent as well. Hookah is about $20, beer $5 and cocktails $10 and up. The only downside is that they add a 15% tip to their tab. I am not against tipping,but I think it should be at the choice of the customer.

This place is getting worse and worse. Last year it was perfect. Nice caring waitresses . Good atmosphere . Nice vibes. Now starting from the parking to the waitresses everything is getting worst. I know they will fix it soon. Good luck. I love this place. And i really feel sorry for what it becomes. 😕

This used to be a European place, but now it is a Latin spot. Parking has gotten ridiculous, everything is a valet on that entire lot. Severs were pushy right off the bat, speaking in Spanish by default. We ended up getting some drinks, that were not even half decent. Glasses did not seem clean. From what I've observed, our server was more attentive than others. Place was completely dead at 9:45pm on a Friday.

Air is not circulated enough in this hookah lounge, so it smelled very smoke stagnant.

This place really seems like a cool place to hang, but an hour without service is no deal. It isn't even like we sat in a dark out of the way corner we were right there in the middle of everything and didn't get service.

I am only giving them a 2 because of the double apple hookah. As on most of my reviews, you will see that I have had it with the mediocre places that place orange cones in front of the parking spaces and call it valet. Just for the record, valet means manservant. If you own a business, you should provided free parking for your customers. The sampler was horrible, chicken was raw, cheese was cold, and a very poor wine selection. I won't be back.

We met some friends from out of town there in the mid afternoon. The waiter acted like he hated his job and wanted to leave, and after he took our drink order and it was delivered, we never saw him again (even though we were there for hours, he never came to check on us or see if we needed anything else. I had also asked him if there was dairy in the chai tea, he either didn't hear (as he took my chai order over his shoulder as he was walking away didn't even bother to turn around really) or just didn't answer.... It ended up making me sick (lactose intolerance) The atmosphere is wonderful, outdoor seating is comfortable and stylish, music is pretty good, but the service is HORRIBLE! They serve hookah, but we didn't order it this time and probably won't go back.

I wanted to share my experience at Cafe Europe, I want to say the waitress we had was very friendly and attentive. However, the security and management were very unwelcoming, from the time of entry to exit. The security gave us a dirty look while checking ID, and the management was in the front smoking Hookah did not even thank us for our visit. I wanted to share this with all guests planning to visit the location, that Houston has better options as far as hookah hang out spots .

It’s a nice spot good music however quality of their security cameras isn’t good my wallet was stolen and the manager only showed me 4 views of some of the cameras they have in that small club room and wasn’t able to see anything at all poor quality and was very zoomed in .. it only showed the Dj and said there was no cameras on the above part where the vip sections were .. so just careful with your belongings I realized my wallet was missing when my weitress took too long to offer me a new drink and by the time I reached for my wallet it was no longer there .. there was very few people in that room and waitresses and management said nothing was turned in to them .. aver we got transferred from one section to another because they said that section was reserved where we were at .. management and weitress with a 3rd person were up there ... right after we were moved from that section.. I asked management if they saw anything when they went up there he said no.. weitress also said no..

the servers were walking by me for 20 min before I went to the bar and got a beer. There were 2 servers and 5 customers sitting outside. The servers managed to walk by several times without trying to offer me a drink. The service just sucked.

Security guard is unprofessional and dangerous. Lied and said it was $10 to get in so he could pocket the money and touched my friend aggressively over a parking dispute.

They need to work on their service. We had to literally dragged somebody outside to serve us like twice. If you let staff out of your sight they literally would not come back. The one star is for the bartender who helped us.

Well, I can say that this was one of my favorite places, but this time I was very disappointed, the music with adds 🫤, after 10 pm it got better when the DJ arrived, the hookah was horrible I couldn't enjoy it we paid for nothing, the drink was acceptable, I have no desire to return, I can only advise that they improve their services and attention so they keep their customers. 🫤🫤🫤

If i could give them a 0 star i would, Terrible management and owner. We were there to watch the world serious and we moved the hookah and it fell from the bottom bc it was defective and they held us hostage saying we can't leave until we pay. So we chose to call the cops for them to make the decision. No one can hold you hostage and is illegal. All they can do is sue you for a 50$ hookah wich it's ridiculous and ofcourse after the owner saw us call the cops he sent one of his bouncers to tell us we can leave.. lastly the waitress was the worse and rude. I only decided to write a review because there was a man at the bar, who were asking a few people for cocaine to leave a comment or review. Not sure who he was maybe a random customer? This place used to be great about 10 years ago. Decided to go two weekends ago. Was not impressed. Again, I Dropped by on a Wednesday night. Service was slow that day. I ordered a drink and left. Looking through all of the negative comments and questions it seems that alot has happend. I honestly wanted to leave more stars, this place has gotten worst over the last 10 years. Maybe I am choosing the wrong nights to go on.

This whole strip center - and the parking lot in front of it - now stands on where the West Briar School (private school) used to be until it closed down after the 1985-1986 school year was over. The last time I saw the school buildings was back in the mid-1990s, and I have no idea when they were torn down.

Have been coming to this place for years and never have I recieved this bad of service. Haven't been here for a while i guess things change. The wait staff is not friendly at all. No europen music at all. Rumba music playing the whole time kinda defeats the purpose of "Cafe Europe". The food is not good and way over priced. Pretty sure the chicken strips are over sized chicken nuggets out of a frozen foods section in walmart. The sampler i ordered was all appetizers and it took them at least 30 minutes to bring it out. Horrible food and service! Went here for the first and last time for late night drinks and food. It took my friends and I reaching out to to multiple workers in order to finally get a server to come to our table 30 mins later. That should have been our sign to leave however we stayed and placed our order. I ordered a chicken quesadilla which has to be the saddest thing I ever seen which was a breaded chicken patty and cheese thrown in a tortilla - so disgraceful and disappointing that I couldn't bother taking a picture. Literally picture a McDonalds mc chicken patty used in a quesadilla! Not to mention the terrible tasting mai thai. Idk how local Texans enjoy this place but be warned.

Horrible experience me and my friend are sitting outside and we place an order for drinks and the waitress comes back saying she cannot serve us and i spoke with the manager and says he cannot serve us without giving any reason why. Me and my friend arrived sober and in proper dress code. There was some serious discrimination here. Will never return. The manager needs to be replaced if the owner wants to make money.

First time at a hookah bar..bad experience..came in on a friday night 11:30 pm..place was not busy at all..wasn't expecting much for bar food, but we were hungry so got the sampler: Taquitos tasted like it was bought at walmart frozen section and simply heated. The chicken tender tasted like Tyson frozen chicken. Chicken quesadilla was ok. Chicken wings was the only thing i liked. The chicken panini was horrible..also tasted like tyson chicken in a bun and pressed..horrible waitress..did not even check on us..too busy chatting with other waitresses at the bar..only came up to me after i got up off the table to walk to the bar to ask for service. Really wanted to have that hookah experience, but again took forever to check on us when i specifically told her we wanted to get hookahs after we eat. Anyways i liked the music, but the night was a bust!a

Not a good experience at all. We waited over 20min to be greeted by our server. She asked us what we wanted to drink without even handing us menus. Then when I ordered an appetizer it took a crazy amount of time to come out and was cold (and let’s be honest I’m pretty sure the fries and cheese sticks are frozen, so it shouldn’t really take that long). Waiter only checked in with us maybe 3-4 times the whole time we were there. When we wanted to close out we had to go find our waiter because she never came back to check on us; only to find her flirting with a customer. Then she proceeded to add 15% tip to the tab when there was only 2 people which was confusing cause normally that only happens when it’s a large party (They also charge you for the disposable hose and charged $3 for a water bottle...that’s one expensive water bottle). She wasn’t wearing her mask properly; as a matter of fact nobody inside was wearing a mask or taking precautions from covid. The only thing I enjoyed is that they play good music and the hookah is pretty good. Would not recommend if you’re worried about social distancing (inside)/outside was pretty okay with the distancing.

Used to be a good spot not anymore. Have given it multiple second chances and just keeps disappointing. Hookah is always "rough" and makes you cough. Service is always horrible you have to wave them down to come to your table. Food shouldn't be served here it's awful. And drinks are pricey however def not worth the money. Not a good experience. The waitress told us it was mandatory to order food, but that wasn’t the rule for everyone. When I asked about it, the waitress lied and said they ordered. I asked the table, they said they weren’t required to order food. They even pulled a bottle of alcohol out their purse and bought a sprite to mix. The waitress was only worried about being in men’s faces, instead of working her tables. They charged me and my date 15% gratuity, charged for a hose for the hookah , and again made us order food. When I say food, it was more of frozen bar type appetizers. $75 for a trash experience! No refill on coals were included either.

RUDEST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN IN! Me and my husband came in to have drinks and enjoy some hookah we sat outside and NOBODY waited on us after suiting for Lamaist a hour, we asked for a hookah and drinks and we did not receive them and then when we asked for service the waitresses had an attitude like we did something wrong! And they STILL WALKED PASSED us like we said nothing and then when we asked again for the hookah 2 girls got to arguing about who was going to bring it and we STILL did not receive it! I guess it’s because we are not Hispanic but I will never come here again. First and last time i will ever step foot in there

Anticlimactic. Everything was underwhelming, food was straight out of a frozen Walmart section, hookah was weak, the service was slow (understaffed), drinks aren’t worth it and the DJ was also a disappointment, wouldn’t play requested songs and I swear there was a whole 45min of him just playing beats, no songs, no lyrics. Just overall underwhelming when we had high hopes for this spot. We also had to pay for a drink we didn’t like because we took about two sips from it.

This was my first time coming here, and it was a terrible experience. The service was poor I had to ask multiple times for assistance. On top of that, I was harassed by a man who had previously been inside the club, and he was not escorted out or removed. The owner or staff member just spoke to him briefly but allowed him to stay, which made me feel very unsafe. I do NOT recommend coming here!

This place was so loud that I couldn't talk with my friends. We went outside but it was even louder as they have event speakers on the patio blasting only latin music. There was almost no one there but we still had to wait for service. They don't care at all about their customers and charge more than the menu says for drinks. Not relaxing or "chill" at all. Went to have a good time and ended getting over charged for 5 drinks a total of over 300. They assumed I was drunk since it was late. I was not. Be ready to dispute your charges. If you think it's wrong do jot sign it. And dispute it. Hookah didn't even work. Watch your tabs and use cash. Won't be back.

Horrible… just bad experience.. I have to give one star in order to right this review. first time there and last time there. So if you don’t know or never been there. It’s $10 required valet parking cash only, after $50 the server will automatically add there own 15% tip to your bill, the bathroom door will hit you due to it being right by the sink,(like right by the sink), after 4 beers i was able to catch a buzz but my wife drinking 6 mix drinks was completely sober, the drinks were very weak. The DJ was 30 mins late and played nothing but Spanish, (and not even the dancing Spanish music). The manager didn’t want to do anything about any type of issues that came up and kept with the excuses. We had to get our server/waiter attention multiple times to come to us in ordered to be served, but couldn’t remove the tip. If you don’t speak Spanish, best of luck. Even the security guard didn’t understand when he wanted to know what’s going on.
