Great authentic food
Really Good Decent food
Comfortable, spacious restaurant setting with great food. I've been about half a dozen times now for dinner and have never had to wait for a table.
It's a great place, feeling nice to eat there, food is tasty and good price, visit often with family
Traditional Shanghai cuisine. Feel like I was a ten-year-old, having local food in my community.
Great place for a Chinese breakfast. Everything make fresh, and price is the best.
Decent portion and tasty, free soups after $15 order
Good service. Great food. Tasty and affordable
Plenty of vegan options. Not too salty. Wide selection.
Love their spicy chicken.
Best steamed pork dumplings in Flushing
good food for reasonable price.
The food was great and the staff were kind. We had a wonderful time and created unforgettable memories. Wishing you a happy and prosperous New Year.
I can confidently recommend this restaurant based on my extensive experience with Northern Chinese cuisine. It offers generous portions at reasonable prices. Any issues can be promptly addressed by the staff. Of course, if you're not looking to satisfy your appetite, this restaurant might not be for you—it will definitely fill you up. The youthful service team is unmatched by other restaurants. I love the blonde waitress—she's so cheerful.
Han Bin Yuan has quickly become one of my favorite spots and a hidden gem in Flushing. I order from them at least once per week! The over rice lunch specials are an absolute steal. The chicken and eggplant is my #1 recommendation. The food is incredibly flavorful and the service is very fast. Definitely check it out while you're in Flushing!
They are the best of all times 🫶🫶🫶
My wife and I have been here at least 5 times! I've never been disappointed with the quality of the food!! We like to try different menu items and always leave with a new favorite dish!!!
Everything was great! Big portion sizes, perfect for sharing. I ordered all of this for myself and ended up taking 3/4ths of it home. Started off withe the fried bean gluten, and it was sweet and tasty. Then I had the crabmeat and pork bun. I couldn't really taste the crabmeat, but it was an overall good dish. The stir fry pork kidney was nice, it says on the menu that it is spicy but it is not. The waiter told me that is because the food in Shanghai is usually not spicy. Definitely try the pumpkin cake! It is a doughnut with red bean paste in the middle. It has just the right amount of sweetness to it. Overall, I was very pleased with the food here!

Tucked away quaint and cute. My first time having soup dumplings and they are amazing, we had the spicy beef noodle soup which was so large but tasty for $8. The waitress Cherry was the best part. I came in earlier to get soup for a friend I was visiting in the hospital nearby and she explained the menu and what would be best for her and was so nice I came right back for dinner and she was still amazing. Will definitely be back. Thanks guys!!!
I always pass by never noticed this place.Picked up a menu & looked good ! Quite hesitant to get in cuz it was right at the end of the hallway ! Found a gem in small town ! Great beef noodle & sweet & sour pork chop ! & the best part was Free soup dumplings! 5 star for food & more stars to add for reasonable prices! tipped handsome to the handsome guy also.Recommended for large groups as well ! Will return.
Loud place but amazing food!! HUGE portion. My family goes here all the time and look at all the dishes. The owner is very generous. Expect no English spoken when you come all in.
A very well established Shanghai restaurant. Given its in the busy Flushing neighborhood, competition is plenty but this one stands out with the locals. Prices are very reasonable and the food never disappoints. They even have a deal, order $15+ worth of food (dine in only) and you get an order of soup dumplings (pork filling) for free. Should you want to substitute it for the crab, you may but there's an upcharge of $1 so not free but darn close! The best dishes here besides the soup dumplings, try the spicy fish fillets in the red sauce served in a heated wok, noodles with Scallion sauce (just trust me, it's so good), and the cumin Lamb is excellent.
Affordable, great portions, food was awesome! Service needs to be flagged down, but if you're not ready to do that in Chinatown or flushing then that's a very personal problem haha. Recommend for anyone looking for a solid Shanghainese spot.

Sugar is an important ingredient in Shanghai cuisine, often used in combination with soy sauce. As an example, Shanghai-Style Braised Pork Belly (hong shao rouis) a very famous dish in Shanghai. This place offers the original, un-embellished Shanghai-style version. Eel dish we got was tasty, but I felt i can be done with a bit less oil. Another signature dish, rice cake with pickled mustard greens is the dish I repeatedly order from various Shanghainese restaurant in US. You can't go wrong here as well. The list goes on, like many other Chinese restaurants, they offers Xiao long BAO for free, which is a juicy dumpling filled with steamed pork. Service is pleasant and majority of Waiter/ waitress speak shanghainese, make it feels like home!
Very good and delicious Shanghai style foods. Recommend to everyone. They will offer snacks if you order more than certain amounts.
Fried rice, noodle, vegetable dish portion size are small. Seems like they assume 1 adult size. But other meat dish that price around $18 is family size portion.
Free order of soup dumpling after $15 spend dine in. New store old decor. Service fast.
Good for its price for quick lunch meal
Good dish size, tasty. Private room is great.
good food 👍 solid, down the corridor and all 🙌
Good tasting authentic Shanghainese food
Remember to order over 15$ to get free pork soup dumpling!
good place with karaoke private room
Good price and nice service.
Hard to find - go through a corridor to find the restaurant at the end. Simple restaurant serving a range of Chinese food including dumplings. Spend over $15 and they give a free serving of pork soup dumplings. Food is of standard Chinese restaurant quality with decent portions. Service is alright, the place is clean.
The restaurant’s current name is Han Bin Yuan. Eating here makes you feel like in China: the food and the atmosphere...Some people smoke there while eating. They also have karaoke, kind of noisy sometimes.

Great place for a Shanghainese dinner out with friends. It's the first time I had fried chicken wings encrusted with salted egg yolk and they were delicious. I liked their rice cake with shredded pork and mustard. The braised pork leg was delectable and so tender. The cucumber with garlic cold appetizer was delicious.
Food was good, service was nice. However, there are smokers which should’ve either been kicked out or told to stop
This place is pretty small and a little hard to find. When you go through the main door you have to go down a short but beautifully painted corridor of murals to get to the actual restaurant. The space itself has room for 3 extra large tables, a handful of 4 person tables and a small alcove of two people and some 4 person tables tucked away on a slightly elevated, separated area. If I’m not mistaken if you order $15 or $20 worth of dishes you get a free order of soup dumplings. We have gotten their beef noodle soup and pork noodle soup with an order of pan fried dumplings and hit the mark. All four orders together was very filling. The noodle soups have long thin noodles as the base, lots of vegetables were in the bowl, the broth for both were light and a little salty but not enough for us to mind. The beef wasn’t as tender as we had hoped. The soup dumplings really have a good ginger taste to the soup and the meat filling. They are very plump and full of broth! It’s a great lunch place but it fills up fast. The staff there mainly speak mandarin. We did have a hard time communicating with them since they didnt understand our Americanized-Cantonese and the person who understood English was helping another table but it was nothing pointing and body language couldn’t solve.

Service need to be improved. The guy at the front desk give me wrong order, they are not friendly. The portion of the food is good but taste is average. No credit card! I would not try this place again.
Surprisingly very spacious, door is better than average. Service can be improved.
the service is good. The food quality and details management went down.

Great authentic food! Ordered spicy beef ($20), pepper and beef ($20), squirrel fish($45). I think these are the name. They are not upfront about the cost for the fish. On the menu, the fish is $32 and they gave me two option of fish to choose from. They did not tell me that the fish I picked would cost $13 extra. They have a requirement of minimum 15% tip, which cost me $14 in tip and $7 in tax. When we asked to wrap the rest of the food for takeout , the cashier brought the food into the kitchen with his thumb dipped in the spicy beef soup. I can not describe how disgusted I am. This is extremely disturbing and unsanitary and it’s not okay. If they held by the rim of the bowl, then it’s fine. I don’t understand why the cashier thinks it’s a good idea to dip his thumb in the soup after handling cash all day??? Buy the food to go cuz probably not a good idea to dine there

Was fairly empty, sat down and the waitress was hovering over me and my gf to order. Give me a couple minutes to settle down woman… Ordered a beef with string bean, cumin beef, 2 bowls of rice and a cucumber appetizer. $61 with a self written 18% tip. $72 for mediocre food and service, never coming back!

We often order delivery from this restaurant, but today it’s been over an hour, and the food still hasn’t been prepared. I called the restaurant, and the woman who answered the phone had an extremely rude attitude!
the food was tasty but i got food poisoning from this restaurant...it was probably one of their cold dishes
Smokers in the kitchen, they smoke while cooking.
3/5 Food. Hit or miss. Occasionally great, sometimes mid or bleh, one saving grace are the large portions. 0/5 Service. Seems one family runs the place and they all have the same attitude. Be prepared for minimal service, no considerations, and to be chased down for additional tips that they’ll want for all the “complimentary” tea, pickles, and that we got any service at all during such a busy night. Don’t speak any English, but fully embracing that tipping culture. 1/5 Ambiance. Full of smoking and drinking mid aged Asian men, loud, smoky, crowded and hectic. Fine if the place is empty, probably reconsider if you’re not used to that type of atmosphere. Good food ruined by poor service, if nothing is complimentary and tipping percentage is scaled to party size starting from 2, write it out. Don’t spring it on a guest right after a meal, totally ruined the entire experience. Will not be returning. Update: What a lovely passive aggressive response from the restaurant. Continues to display zero concept of customer service, no attempt at resolution or communication. Oh, completely didn’t address their waitstaff chasing a customer down, blocking their path and demanding more cash on the spot, threatening behavior which we unfortunately gave into. Deplorable behavior all around, shame on you all.
