Maybe the best happy hour in Allentown. Stopped by on a Friday with my family and got a ton of appetizers and drinks all for 50% off. The wings were a highlight. Coconut shrimp was good. French onion pierogis sounded better than they tasted. The fish and chips was tasty and unique in that it was served as the whole fish. It was also breaded lighter than most, which I preferred.
Our bartenderJens was amazing. We had a great time with him. We had patty melt, burgers and pastrami sandwich. All delicious. Will go again very soon.
Bartender Jamie was excellent. First time going. The place was welcoming, food outstanding, and drinks were on point great. Live music was perfect. Must stop in.
Didn’t expect such a great experience from the outside. No negatives about the outside, it just looked like an average restaurant. Never been here before. Took a chance and WOW !!!!!!! Really good drinks. Excellent, friendly service. But the food was stellar ! Salmon caprese w/risotto and fish and chips.
This place was awesome! The atmosphere and look of the restaurant is very very nice! 👌I went to try out their AYCE Spaghetti and Meatballs night on Wednesdays. It's only $7.95 and they are quick to bring refills. The food is amazing, and their service is friendly and efficient. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
Amazing restaurant. I've wanted to go here for years and something always kept coming up. Thankfully today was my wifes birthday and we wanted to try something new. First let's start off with the parking. Hug parking lot. Then when you enter the restaurant it reminds you of a log cabin. With a hint of charm. We sat down and were greeted by Ronnie. Our waiter. He was friendly and always smiling. We ordered our food which came out super quick. And was well cooked. I highly recommend this place for any occasion . See pictures.
Came here (finally) after growing up in Allentown for the majority of my life, moving down south and now residing in Palmerton. Caught my eye on Gordon Ramsays show and had to try it out. Decor was top notch, very cozy comfortable atmosphere. Small suggestion and I could have done some research but the music there was so loud we could barely have a conversation. Just slight advice but again I could have found out if a band was playing I just didnt think it would be an issue. Started off with peel and eat shrimp that were fantastic. Ordered the Shanty Burger as I recognized that from the tv show. Asked for medium and it was cooked perfectly. Great flavor, super juicy. Only other flaw was our waiter was insanely inattentive. Did not check on us at all we had to flag him down a few times. That being said I'm definitely coming back. I own a few businesses myself and I love supporting the small local guys. To the owners - you have a great place, good food and beautiful decor. I'm glad to see it doing well keep up the good work!
Went for Brunch on Sunday with Family. Waitress Joanna 5 star- Omelets 5 star- French Toast 5 star- Eggs Benedict 3.5 star (Eggs over cooked on both dishes)- Coffee 5 star. Place was very clean and spacious will go back but ask for Eggs Benny less done. Overall GREAT experience. The photo is my West Ender Omelet DELICIOUS
This was our second time back. Our first time was for Thanksgiving 2 yrs ago and it was not a good experience but to be fair I wanted to try it on a normal day. We ordered sweet Thai chili wings, which were very good. They were crispy and saucy. We also got the French onion pierogis, which were very good. My husband got a cheese steak that he liked but the roll got soggy too quickly.. I ordered the rodeo burger, which was a special from the week prior but they made it for me Anyway...it was very good. Our server, David was fantastic. The proce was fair! There was other stuff on the menu that I want to try and will definitely go back. Glad I gave it another try!!!!
One of the best Steaks I ever had. New Zealand mussels were tender. Our server was very very nice. The food could have been presented better only because it was not hot enough. I would eat there again for sure. Would like to go on a night that's full of people and live music.
Definitely a strange place for IN Allentown, the food was good. We ordered the “French Onion Pierogis” very strange. But good. Just wasn’t what we expected. French onion soup with pierogis in it. And we had sliders. The sliders were very large for a slider, smashed down and slightly over done but good flavor. Partially our fault because we didn’t specify the doneness. We’ll give it another try in the future.
Visited Mother's Day 2019 - Had a wonderful Mother's Day Brunch..nice place and we all enjoyed our selections and should add the special Bloody Mary was a big hit also. This place is off our regular 'beaten' path so I have to make a point of remembering it when we're thinking of a place to go. Service was also very good/friendly staff. All good.Thank you.
Nice spot for drinks and wings. We stopped in around 2pm for a Maui Mule and wings. Service was very good and the wings were pretty good with some nice flavors. I understand it gets pretty noisy in the evening with live music and karaoke. We just missed the bloody merry bar but I would return to try it out.
I was looking for a quick bite to eat and googled food near me. This stood out because of pictures I saw of a band playing there. There is only street parking but it’s fairly easy to find in the middle of the day. When I entered, no one greeted me at first. I saw one bartender and one waitress who was tending to a large party. I only waited about a couple minutes but it felt like forever. The bartender finally welcomed me after the waitress passed right by me without saying a word (I was standing by the door so I obviously was waiting to be served). However, the bartender was polite and friendly and apologized for the wait. I loved their appetizers they are somewhat eccentric and their drink menu has fun names and combinations. I ordered their 19th on Mule it came with pear vodka, ginger beer, mint and elderflower liqueur. It was a sweet drink but I didn’t taste the individual flavors like I hoped to. For lunch I ordered an appetizer called Boom Boom Chicken Mac and Cheese. It was so good. Their cheese sauce was flavorful but not spicy, it came mixed with sirarcha sauce but I didn’t taste the siracha. I tasted a hint of garlic and green onions. I loved it. Worth every bite.
Didn’t get the name of waitress because she didn’t introduce herself properly by name, she barely spoke to us or checked in with us. I had to ask someone else for ranch and I got 2 sticks of celery I asked for more with our chicken wings which were only good thing we got. It was cold inside, and it’s December cold outside both my husband and i thought it was cold. Weird sort of minty, herb flavor on the rib eye steak, cooked properly wish less fat on steak, baked potato not hot almost liked microwaved “steam” broccoli hard. Cod fish bland the “creamy” sauce watered down and seemed like the fish was not drained properly and just thrown on the plate which has excess water cooked fine but no taste used a bunch of salt and pepper and risotto hard not fully done. Flavor so so. Not like bone fish grill risotto not mouth watering tasty delicious food unfortunately. The blond waitress with tattoo on the left side of her neck for sure seemed to be GREAT at her job I observed her charisma with customers her customer service skills and even help with options for the menu and she did great she should train others because our waitress just didn’t make us feel welcomed and we actually saw more of her once we were done eating and she gave check to fast less than 10 min I wanted to stay for more drinks but wasn’t offered dessert and felt rushed out. Also when someone is undecided on what to order and asked for suggestions a server should be able to persuade and convince the customer and help but her answer was it depends how hungry you are when I asked regarding two a chicken pasta dish or a cod and risotto dish that’s not much help. Thanks for your time. Maybe just good for bar food. Wings and burgers etc
The owner and servers are the sweetest people and very attentive. The food, however was disappointing. The fries were soaked in grease, as we're the fried shrimp. The shrimp tasted of nothing other than old fryer grease. The cheesesteak tasted like ground burger on a soggy roll. The mac and cheese just tasted like butter noodles. The beer they have on special is old, canned almost a year ago. The lamp chops were the only redeeming menu item we tried. The entire restaurant is coated in dust, the booths are splattered with grease (or who knows what).
Ordered a $34 steak and it came with a hair in the sour cream!! I tried to be respectful and went to my waitress, thinking a manager would come address it but they acted like it never happened. No apology or anything! I wanted to try a local place, bad idea!!
Atmosphere was great because it was a quiet place with almost no one there on father's day but we struggled to get a cup of black coffee and had to wait quite a while for a refill cup. My meal came with components missing that were on the menu that I had to ask for, and over all none of it was great. My avocado toast was definitely guac from a container and my bread wasn't toasted or if it was it was barely toasted so it was pretty soggy. My husband's mixed drink didn't come until about 3/4 through the meal and that was because we had to ask for it more than once. The "regulars" seemed to get much more attentive service from the wait staff than we did. I'm sure if you know the staff and are a regular everything is probably great but definitely not a great experience my family had. Not a place for new customers based off that experience.
For starters service was extremely slow. While they put on the door that you must have a mask, several people where allowed in without one and where not offered one. None of the staff is wearing a mask. (Except one of the cooks, but not the other 2 cooks) There are gambling games available, but the stations don't have sanitizer or wipes anywhere nearby. They also are reusing paper menus which is considered unsanitary by the CDC guidelines. Thankfully, I have already had C-19 and I'm still in my immunity period. However, as a man with a severe heart condition, reduced Lung capacity, and liver Cirrhosis, its hard not to think of how much they are risking the health of others. And to be honest it's all a shame because the food is good, but it was all different temperatures the waffles were dry and luke warm, the chicken was easily the best part of the meal. Unfortunately the good flavor was severely soured by the experience. I would suggest you find another place to have brunch. (Some of their decor is also political which I don't mind, but im not here to discover your politics I'm here to eat food. It's not that I even disagree with it, I just find it a tacky business decision.)
