Avaliações de Zyara Halal Shawarma Albans
Great food. Leila was very professional. But the place is too small. I couldn't dine in with my family and instead we picked up. Overall good food
Outstanding halal Middle Eastern cuisine in Astoria's Steinway district! Famous for incredibly juicy chicken shawarma with fresh-baked pita bread made on-site and their legendary Zyara garlic sauce that customers rave about. The mixed grill, falafel, lamb kabab, and hummus are all exceptional. Complimentary pita chips and hummus start every meal. Beautiful back patio with fountain and courtyard seating.
DELISH!!!!!!!! Worth the hype! We got the chicken Adana sandwich (amazing), and lamb platter. Everything was cooked to perfection and sauces were the cherry on top. we also got a side of baba ganoush and Turkish eggplant - both were phenomenal! Cannot wait to be back to try the rest of their menu. Highly recommend this spot for both take out or dine in.
My future husband & I went to Zayara on recommendation of our families. Ordered chicken shawarma & mixed grill. Mixed grill is for 2 so dont underestimate its size or quantity. Its going to really fill you up good. The serving size is very fulfilling. Besides they serve bread & sides, greek salad is also a great option. This place is one of the few good spots for Mediterranean food & grill. Do check it out!
Wow. What. A. Find. Recommended by our (future?) mayor Zohran Mamdani — and honestly, this place blew me away. A true flavor bomb. ✔️ Great food ✔️ Quality ingredients ✔️ Fair prices ✔️ Small business with big heart ✔️ Everything I love about New York This is the kind of spot that reminds me why this city is unbeatable: passionate people, honest food, and that real neighborhood soul. Thanks, Zohran, for pointing me in the right direction. If this is the start of your legacy, it’s already looking very promising. Who knows… maybe one day we’ll co-create the ultimate guide to New York’s hidden gems. 😉 Absolutely worth a visit. Go taste it. Enjoy it. NYC at its finest.
I tried Zyara Restaurant in Astoria and the Chicken Kebab was absolutely delicious! Perfectly seasoned, juicy, and full of flavor. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was great. This will definitely be my new go-to spot for Mediterranean food in Astoria. Highly recommend!
It's hard for me to describe how much I love this place. The mixed shawarma platter is an incredible deal where you can pick from a wide variety of sides- I get the tuna salad and fries. The portions are very generous and a great value. There is also a lemonade that has a very good and strong flavor. There is no alcohol on the menu.
I ordered the beef shawarma deluxe (comes with fries) with zyara mint and lemonade. At first bite I knew they made the food just as good as back home. It came with tahini sauce and pickles and it enhanced the meal by a lot. The atmosphere was nice, they were playing Arabic music which was also nice. Overall I will definitely return to Zyara Restaurant.5 starts for sure.
Best Quality Food, Best Service And Clean Restaurant. I have been going to this restaurant for dinner or lunch almost every week since its grand opening. The quality of the food is very good. The management of this restaurant is very conscious about cleanliness; and the people who work there are very friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant for your next private event, family dinner, dine in or take out.
Amazing across the board. As a half Egyptian half Turk, I grew up eating this food and it tastes just like back home. Every single dish is so flavorful and tender. The shawarma practically melts in your mouth. The staff is so friendly and attentive and the location is very clean. Our server Amir, was so attentive and well versed in each dish. We came back here two nights in a row on a short vacation. Highly recommend!
I've been coming here for years…… and have seen them grow from the start, and the food is always on point and delicious……love all their salads the best humus and falafel in NYC. Today I tired the lamb kabab it was soft and moist and delicious….. finished everything it was amazing including the service. MUST TRY FRESH LEMONADE…… And the server Anwar was so nice!
Stopped by Zyara Restaurant in Astoria and had the mixed chicken and beef shawarma on their homemade lafa—absolutely amazing. The meat was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly spiced, while the warm, freshly baked lafa took it to the next level. The restaurant had a lively vibe, with a full house and upbeat music that added to the energy, though it was a bit loud at times. Overall, Zyara is a must-visit for Middle Eastern food lovers in Astoria looking for bold flavors and quality ingredients. Great spot for a casual yet satisfying meal.
Great spot for some solid arab food. Very authentic, tasty and flavorful. Catered to pakistani taste buds with the spicy side sauces. Mixed grill is my go to and the beef and chicken shawarma is always safe. Service can be a little delayed and you may hade to wait if you’re dining in.
Came here for a quick bite later in the evening. The place was packed but the servers were attentive and kind. The shawarma was finished so I ordered the chicken kebab platter with Jerusalem salad and hummus. The chicken was flavorful and fresh off the grill. The salad wasn’t my favorite. The vegetables were a little mushy and waterlogged for my liking. The hummus was delicious. They weren’t able to offer water because they ran out and the bathroom was far from clean. I wouldn’t give up on Zyara just yet, but maybe I would try earlier in the day to see if the overall experience is better.
Literally the best Mediterranean spot I’ve been to. This is my every weekend spot. Good people too! UPDATE: The portion size is nothing close to what they used to give us. Instead of 5 different kebabs they gave 3 types, that too less than half of what they used to give. We asked for everything chicken instead of beef or lamb, what we do every time. Idk in what way this plate even looks for 2 servings anymore. On top of that they started charging extra for card, only if the food was good. Also had hard time getting seats, they don’t know if they should make me wait of tell me what should I be doing? But mostly upset for the quality and quantity That could be my last time visiting there
Today I visited this restaurant as a customer and witnessed a delivery driver waiting for over an hour to receive multiple orders. During that time, the staff responsible for packing and handing out orders offered no assistance. What was more concerning was observing some employees at the counter and in the kitchen laughing and making fun of him, despite the driver remaining patient and respectful throughout. If this is how a hardworking individual is treated, it raises concerns about the overall standards of respect and professionalism. I truly hope the owner sees this review and takes action to address this behavior.
I visited on Saturday for iftar with my mother and was genuinely appalled by the treatment we received. The back dining area was completely empty. A woman standing at the entrance informed us that we could not sit there because it was “reserved.” I politely explained that I was fasting and intended to eat quickly and leave. Instead of responding with professionalism, she began shouting—raising her voice aggressively and repeating, “I SAID YOU CAN’T SIT THERE.” When I calmly asked why she was yelling, she escalated further and declared, “I’m the owner and I said so,” as if ownership excuses hostility and a complete lack of manners. Her behavior was shockingly disrespectful and unnecessarily confrontational. When I turned to speak with Amir—someone I recognize from previous visits and who has always been courteous—she interrupted and stated, “I’m the boss here and he won’t talk to anyone without my permission.” This was not firmness. It was arrogance. It was not policy enforcement. It was humiliation. I have dined all over the world and have never encountered such an astonishingly low standard of hospitality. Authority without grace is simply poor leadership, and customer service delivered through shouting is not service at all. Deeply disappointing and entirely unacceptable When I started recording the lady calmed down and left my sight
