Best Indian food, Good taste, wonderful service☺️
Fantastic food! I'm ruining my marriage by only suggesting this place. He loves it too but he keeps talking about "variety". I'll be serving the divorce papers soon. I only need royal India cuisine anyway. /s
Hands down the best Indian food I have ever had. Made the mistake of not calling ahead of time like others ahead of me had. But after tasting their food I could see why it would take 30 mins for my food to get ready. And why they were so busy. So I would strongly suggest eating here of you like Indian food but I would recommend calling ahead of time to place your order.
Delicious! We ate there 3/26 and found everyone working in the truck wearing a mask (very important to me). Very convenient to text an order and the food was piping hot and ready when we arrived 15 minutes later. The food is absolutely delicious, I can't wait to eat there again.
This is the best Indian food I have had in the United States. The only place I have had better was in Japan. I wish they had an actual sit-down restaurant. I met the owner who was also named Richard. The service was very good. It will take a little time to get it because it is clearly all cooked fresh when it is ordered. I recommend the Tikka Masala, Saag Paneer, and the garlic naan. I will definitely be coming back again soon.
The Samosas are 🔥. I don't care for the sauce that comes with it. But it's not needed. The mango lassi is 🔥.The lamb curry and goat curry are 🔥 The basmati rice....was 🔥. I love that they offer you a spice level too. You can't go wrong eating here. I love it!
We just recently discovered this absolute gem! I have lived in a lot of places (including the Bay Area) and I truly feel that the Royal India food truck is some of the best Indian food that I have had. The lamb in the lamb curry is so tender and the paneer is so fresh tasting. I am so happy to have discovered this place and will DEFINITELY be eating here on the regular!
I taking food all food very delicious 👌👌
We make a point of stopping here everytime we're driving/ traveling along I5. The food is insanely good. Can't decide between the chicken Tikka masala or the butter chicken curry. We also love the biryani. The naan is fresh, the mango lassi is perfect, & the chai is a must. Friendly service and a great hidden gem in an otherwise frustratingly chain- driven world. If Indian food is not your jam, this little spot has other food trucks with equally yummy looking food although we've only tried this one (& keep returning because it's THAT good).
We drove down from Salem to try this food and we are glad we did. The paneer had great texture, the sauces were creamy and dense. Serving size was good. I appreciate they use paper cartons instead of plastic where possible. Our new fav. Too bad its 30mins away :(
I’m recommending everyone they have fabulous food really delicious just like a home. You’ll never miss whenever you came on i5.
Great India food. Specially Biriyani. Great service by employees. I was at truck stop for 3 days. I really enjoyed their food and service.
This food is really good and fresh
The food is delicious, fresh, perfectly spiced and of generous portions. The staff are super friendly and very helpful.
We stopped here on our way to coast . I would say the food is very tasty and one of the best india food truck. All food is fresh made and Tava Roti is very good, far better then some of the restaurants. Chai, oh it’s so naturally good and does not have artificial masalas. There is also a decent seating area with shades and canopy for family friendly. Dhaba experience
Really good food and guy was very respectful and cool, definitely recommend the royal food truck
Beautifully surprised by the flavorful, well balanced dishes which were also very filling! I wasn't too keen on the rice, which I found a little bland, but still well worth the stop!
It's the go to place fir I dian food. Don't let the food truck atmosphere fool you, food is great.
I have tried all the Dhabas on i5 and so far this is the best among all. Food is good but more importantly the customer service is exceptional which is normally the weakest point of Punjabi Dhabas. I will keep coming here just keep up the good work.
Best Indian food around, and I try it everywhere. You will not be disappointed with the chicken Tikka masala or the nan bread, I'm sure everything else is good as well but I can ever seem to get myself to try something else......
I love my punjab food delicious and Lajwaab .
It’s a really really good food. It taste mind blowing please visit one time after then you will miss this place.
This is part of an outdoor food court. The veggie food we had was excellent- as good as any meal we’ve had anywhere in India. Probably better than most Seattle places we go to.
Food is delicious no doubt but the price of roti is little expensive.. it’s 2$ . It should be .75 cents or 1$ for each … but the food is really delicious
Had the Lamb Curry with Steam Rice and Garlic Bread Bread....😋 It was delicious. one order can servs enough for 2. Ate half and save the rest for later. Definitely recommend this place. Thank you for the Hot tea ☕☺️.
Ordered the chicken tikka masala and it was delicious. Robust flavors! Friendly and clean service!
Great staff, good, simple menu, but most importantly fantastic food. Completely worth the 15 minute wait, I ordered the lamb curry and haven’t had lamb this flavorful in awhile. Sauce was simple, delicate, divine. I will most definitely be coming back and enjoying the food off the truck here. Thank you gentlemen for a truly wonderful meal
There are 3 guys running this truck and they offer great Indian food and service. We went there 15 minutes before closing and placed a large order for 6 people. They warmly welcomed us and served really delicious food. We tried their dals and saag paneer. Both were very tasty and fresh. Rotis were much better than many other Indian restaurants. The highlight was the KHEER. It was one of the best I have tasted in a long time.
AMAZING FOOD!!! A MUST TRY!! Authentic Indian food. Hearty portions. Fabulous service. You can tell they take a great deal of pride in the food they prepare because it was all made from scratch. The Aloo Paratha was like flat bread with spices rolled into the middle. I live in Portland and it’s 100% worth the drive! THANK YOU ROYAL INDIAN!! Please open another food truck in Portland if you can. With your yummy food, you will find success here too!
Ordered samosas and paneer tikka masala which were both the best I have ever eaten. The samosa pastry was flakey, and the filling was delicious. The paneer tikka masala was tomatoey and perfectly spiced. Ten out of ten will eat here again!
I just stopped by and had a mango lassi and chicken kadai (med heat) with the garlic naan bread and it was sooo good! Just the right amount of heat too! Well worth the trip and affordable too! Thanks for the good food and great service!
I’ve been everywhere. 4,000 miles a week, I always order the curry at any Indian joint I come across. This was hands down the best. So many times Indian restaurants on the road cheap out and it’s like half a thigh in your curry and all sauce. This was half a chicken, in delicious sauce; filling, very friendly staff. Bravo guys!
Owner is very friendly and food is so good just try camp gravy the taste is preety good go there and try there food highly recommend
It was the best Indian I've ever had. It didn't taste American-ized. It was super flavorful and incredibly delicious. I'll definitely keep coming back here.
They have best Indian on I-5 . Their food is always fresh. I mostly love their Egg Roll , paneer pokara, and other dishes also. I love their customer service they always polite and kind. Highly recommended please stop by and grab and go…..🌯🥘🧆
So you can never find better Indian, or Punjabi food at a truck stop, and yet another amazing find, get the food you won't regret it.
Surprisingly VERY delicious, from a food truck of all places.... I generally stay away from Indian food because It always tastes like bland paste in my opinion (no offense)... but this place made me change my mind. So good job!
Great Indian food at a reasonable price! The butter chicken was the best I've ever had, the chicken biriyani was flavorful and the garlic naan was wonderful! Friendly staff and easy access off and on the freeway too. Give it a try 👍😊
Discovered a hidden gem near loves gas station. Food truck serving samosas, paranthas and Masala Tea, and that too on a rainy day. They actually made my day!! Food and service was on point. One can easily order on phone as well. Do check out this place and you won’t be disappointed!!
Wonderful people serving the best food. I had lamb biryani, and they provided me with the perfect spice level. It's like magic; they know exactly what I wanted. I recommend this place 100%!
Amritsari kulcha & paratha hit different 🔥 Crispy, buttery, and full of flavor — pure comfort food
Try kulcha i its perfect cooked delicious taste full filled with veggies. Best kulcha ever tried.
Don't know why people gave 1 stars, I had food after 2 days, and it's very delicious for me. I even packed food for the next 3 days from them. Everything is good. God bless these guys for serving hot india food.
I ordered the chicken curry. It was excellent food. The service is good. It took a while (maybe 20 minutes) for them to have the food ready, and I was the only customer at that time. Perhaps they do minimal prep ahead of time and cook the food fresh. For me it was worth the wait. And I definitely got my money’s worth. I ordered the food medium (regarding the spiciness). Next time I’ll order it spicy. It was hot (oven hot) and the chicken was tender. I’d definitely recommend this food truck (trailer) to those who like curry.
Ordered the biryani ,level 3 spicy...It was actually spicy and not mild like most places...Healthiest food around the truck stop...Flavors were full of spices and look small, but was just right... Will be back when in Oregon next....Nice vegan/vegetarian options...Younger gentleman was nice. P.s. order first to skip the wait.
Best around! Great service and food is spot on every time. If you haven’t given them a try yet, you’re missing out!
Came down from the mountains after enjoying nature and decided to stop here. The flavor of food and the attentiveness of the staff was great!
Tasty food truck food! Definitely will be back. We got the butter chicken. So good!
They have the best lassi I've ever had. Everything was delicious. I also had the goat curry, batter chicken, and bread. Everything was delicious! I highly recommend it! I was also impressed that there was a sink with hot and cold water where you could wash your hands.
Fabulous** I was recommended by my known and when I called the Dhaba to order he suggested I will enjoy much more if I eat there instead of on the truck so I tried his suggestion and it was amazing. Plus, he was very helpful and friendly. I ordered amritsari kulcha and it was perfect, all flavors were awesome and they also have very good free chai. I highly recommend that you should stop by and try it out.
Stop by to experience authentic Indian meal. Very convenient truck parking
“Amazing food and fantastic service! A must-visit place, especially for their paneer pakoras and fish pakoras
food is so good special prantha and chiceken curry and tea always free .. i recomend to everyone visit one time here
Great food. Ordered 3 aloo pars that’s it was so good, fully cooked, good amount of potato stuffing. Reminded me of mom’s cooking. I also got 2 free chai, like always they give free cup of tea with or without food. Will definitely come back, highly recommended.
I have been here numerous times and love it every single time. It is always wonderful, very flavorful. Garlic naan and -butter chicken are my favorite but i have never had a bad dish. Service is amazing. Just call ahead and it’ll be ready for you. It takes about 20-25 minutes because I make everything fresh. Worth a stop!
Had an amazing time visiting this food truck in the heart of Albany and was absolutely blown away by the service. Food was great flavourful and good portions for the price. The Chicken Tikka Masala was exploding with flavours and not too spicy. Overall good experience i recommend visiting if your looking for something new if you have been here before i see no reason why you won’t come back!
Loved the food. We ordered 4 amritsari kulcha's and no sugar tea. They made separate no sugar milk tea for us. Kulcha's tasted so good and were properly stuffed. Getting this good food on highway with reasonable prices is a blessing.
Update: I have been back many times and have found the gems- the mixed veggies, tikka masala or paneer, and butter chicken are all amazing. // This cart was the busiest in the lot with people lined up, so order online ahead of time if possible. Ordered saag paneer, my go to for any new Indian place, and it had a great flavor, huge chunks of cheese, but the spinach was pureed a bit too much. Garlic Naan was great, kheer (rice pudding) good but could use some nuts and spices. Tandoori salmon sounded great but was so overcooked, I thought it was chicken by mistake, too tough to eat. The menu is pretty limited so not sure I'll try it again.
Really good! I had the Tikka Masala and the garlic naan bread. The tikka was super delicious, and the rice was perfectly cooked. I am always a sucker for naan bread and the serving size didn’t disappoint. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only thing I didn’t enjoy as much was the mango lassi, I suspect ones I’ve had previous were maybe more “Americanized” and not as traditional as this one was. The hard pieces of cardamom were a very overpowering flavor and added a bit of a texture, if you enjoy cardamom you would love it though! Overall I will definitely be ordering again. Thank you!
Really yummy food, but do agree the saag was heavy on the cream. However, the samosas and naan were delicious. The wait was pretty long so recommend ordering ahead instead of ordering at the truck.
Probably some of the tastier food around. I really want them to open a spot up in Corvallis...🙏 I'll often for go getting food in Portland on the way back to Corvallis, knowing that I'm gonna stop here on the way back. If it was just on taste alone I would give it five stars, only reason I have a hard time doing that is because of factory farms and not knowing where the meat comes from. With that it's probably a pretty safe bet that the goat or lamb doesn't so I'll often order the goat curry which is Soo tasty... Been back many times and it has never disappoints. Go here eat some food...
Food is really good but prices are high.. overall really good
The food and mocktails were delicious! I love the ambience. Maddy the waitress was very professional. The Only thing that ruined what would’ve been a perfect dinning with my friend is that my glass of water showed up with pink lipstick on it. As a germophobe, I can’t stop thinking about what else could’ve been not clean.
I liked this food cart in Albany! The butter chicken and nan I had from here was fresh and delicious, and the service is good. I recommend it to anyone looking for Indian food.
I eaten Indian food for years all over the States. Even though is not the best Indian food I had is not the worst either. I’m grateful there is Indian food in such a small town and if I visit Albany again I’ll buy food here again. I had a vegan dish which was good overall, naan could had use more garlic but that’s just my preference. Thank you for cooking great food from your country.
They took order last minute and the food was good and also they made fresh tea as asked not like other places who heat up the previously made tea and serve it to you
I was at the love's and looked for food options, I was happy when I saw them. Ordered butter naan and chicken Tikka. Naan is good and also got rice with it. But the chicken tikka portion I felt was less and tikka has onions and capsicum but this was just like butter chicken, cummin seeds were burnt so it tasted a bit weird. Over all ok.
The food was a bit expensive but did taste very good, I know with Indian food they use a lot of spices but this place used a lot! And maybe some unique ones however this did cause me to have a significant reaction on my back causing hive like reactions and severe itching, I'm not sensitive or allergic to much of anything so this is to just serve as a warning to others that have had Indian food before that this can happen, I would still recommend them for the quality and taste but the price and skin reaction is why I'm giving a 3 star, next time I'm sticking to the Thai hut next to them.
Three stars for only one reason Paneer tikka masala is full with cream Rest the food was awesome and good to have some desi food here One important detail They are near the Loves Gas Station I mean NEAR not inside or outside There are a bunch of food carts or trailers also near by so enjoy
I started off LOVING this place. We’d go a couple times a week. But lately (the last few months) the chicken in the Butter chicken has been very fatty and gristly. 🤢 I haven’t been back. ☹️
I ordered paneer tikka masala. I’ve made better at home. Tasted like tomato sauce and they attempted to add spices to cover that… still a fail. The mango lassi was ok but after paying 19$ was totally disgusted and trashed it all.
We waited 35 minutes for our food. There are 2 outside picnic tables that were very dirty and no trash cans. The menu is pretty limited. We ordered the chicken kadai, which was very greasy and flavorless. The chicken curry was ok but lacked the complexities of flavors. The garlic Naan was blah. I do not recommend.
I took down my 5 star review. They use to be good but the last 2 times has been a rip off. I asked for extra chicken and was willing to pay. Very little chicken and all sauce. I won't be back!
Good but they took insanely so long. Only a few people ordered but took 45 minutes when they told us 15. I was in a huge rush and we ended up having to wait even longer for veggies because they were taking so long. Update: got home and they gave us rice instead of nan. We paid extra for nan and they didn’t give it to us.
honor of this restaurant pls take care customers i order once 8:00 i reach 8:30 they say no more order one time i reach 9:00 even i order 8:26 they say we leaving 9:00 food is good but the guy who work there they not interested take the order after 8 i don’t know what’s the matter 10 minutes he can wait we are customer must be respect thanks be notice this review
Overcooked tandoori chicken drumsticks dry pieces 6 of them bro was nice guy he charge me half of that price because he knew it what he has done lol. It was the closing time around 8:30 pm Would think about in the future about stoping this location 🤔 i was shocked that most of review was 5 🌟
I bought butter chicken and butter naans both are tasteless waste of money
I ordered mix paranthas from royal india food cart. It will take upto 20 min to ready my food. The food is very delicious and services are good
The staff is there only to take your money. Food consist of just some random spices with no taste! Service is horrible! Do yourself a favor and go to the pad right next door to a Thai stall... much better food with a fantastic service 😀!
I ordered the Chicken Curry and was very disappointed with the quality. The dish had an excessive amount of oil on the surface, and the chicken was served lukewarm and appeared undercooked, with a pink interior. Having spent over nine years driving OTR and eating at a wide range of restaurants nationwide, I can confidently say this was one of the poorest Indian food experiences I’ve had. It gave the impression that little attention was paid to food quality, preparation, or consistency. The staff were polite and welcoming, which made the experience more disappointing, as the food did not reflect the level of service provided. Unfortunately, I would not return based on this visit.
If they don't feel like making what you ordered, they just give you buttered stuff and lie to you. I asked for saag paneer, which is green and made of spinach and kale, to which paneer cheese is added. They have it pictured on their menu as a green dish made of spinach and kale, which is all normal and correct. They gave us an orange buttered sauce with paneer. Lied to me when I first got the order and mentioned the wrong color, they said it was saag paneer and there was spinach in it. We opened and tried it, no spinach, no kale, just butter sauce with paneer sank to the bottom. I brought it up again, they lied again, and when I stood my ground, they finally offered to make what we actually ordered. I passed, left the crap they served us with them and didn't even bother to fight for a refund. I don't want to be lied to and gaslight. I truly cannot believe they thought we were so stupid that this would pass as creamed spinach and kale. Real pieces of work here. Just wow.
Super sad 😭 Ordered $85+ in food for family dinner. My husband and daughter went and picked it up. They informed him that they had made our order wrong, but we are pretty chill so he said no worries (2 orders of butter chicken instead of 2 of tiki masala). We have gotten take out from here multiple times and has always been tasty. When I ordered, and was asked about the spice level I mentioned not spicy it is for my children. Upon getting home and plating dinner, I saw we were missing an order of garlic naan, no biggie. The very disappointing part, everything was so spicy no one could eat, let alone my kiddos. For reference we all love spice, our 9 year old loves flaming hot Cheetos, when allowed. When I ordered the gentleman seemed very rushed, which I get, but very sad our whole order was unable to be eaten. Even for us adults. Hopefully they will make it right tomorrow. I will update
