Tip: Parking can be difficult, so plan accordingly. The frozen margaritas are excellent, but some found the steak fajitas tough, so consider ordering chicken instead.

We love the food here! The people are nice, but this location is a little sketch at night. We love to east greenbush location. Safer.
I love coming here! I haven't had anything I don't like yet! Service is great, the food comes fast, drinks are strong and delicious. With a nice Mexican atmosphere.
A very friendly place with the best tacos al pastor I have ever had.
I've been to most of the Mexican restaurants in the capital district. Including Toro the new place on wolf road. Salsa Latina is definitely my favorite! Authentic good food with a broad menu. We keep going back. Service has always been great and food delicious. Highly recommend for good Mexican.
Me and my partner eat here every other week. They have good food, great service, and a simple environment. Take your time and try something new. The new owners are trying really heart to make new plates and to have a top tier service.
They have a great "All You Can Eat" buffet on Monday evenings. Wonderful selection, including ingredients for Tacos. Food is delicious, staff is courteous and professional. Great for family dining option.
I LOVEEE the service my favorite spot for great service is always Here! All the ladies and guys too are super sweet to us. The atmosphere is great, the place is super clean INCLUDING the bathroom and the food is always Always bomb! Go get you some!😍 Everything is super fresh tasty and authentic! Fav spot hands down ‼️
Me and my kids are foodies and hunt around for the best tasting foods and Mary I say that Salsa Latina is our number one Spanish Food Restaurant!! We get food here at least 5/6 times a month or more!! Their very friendly, customer service is great and the food is always seasoned to perfection!!! Def our #1 go to for the best Latin Food!!
Ffood is very good, fresh ingredients. The waitstaff took our order and disappeared.
Always great food and great service! Everything is always fresh and delicious. The prices are excellent and the portions are huge. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Great for work lunch. Not crowded and attentive service. House Margarita is decent, and half pitcher is good for three or four people.
One of our favorites Salsa Latina has moved from Central Ave to newly opened location at 579 New Scotland Ave, Albany, NY 12208 (across from St Peter's Hospital). Note their other location is in E. Greenbush, NY. We visited this new location on Fri 1/03/25 evening. WOW, what a beautiful new restaurant here. Same great food in a beautiful new setting. Check out the mural in the dining room. Many Mexican & Peruvian dishes as before. Great menu for larger groups who want to sample both cuisines. Small bar with booths & tables & larger dining room. Nice atmosphere, music is Spanish & the volume does not intrude on dinner conversation. Attentive staff greeted as we walked in and said we could sit anywhere in the dining room. Our server, Kassy brought us menus, complimentary salsa & authentic, warm tortilla chips & took our drink orders. A medium house margarita on the rocks w/ salt for me ($16.) & a glass of Chardonnay for my wife ($9). For dinner I had Salsa Latina's chicken Enchiladas (3) w/ ranchero sauce & refried beans ($15). My wife had Pollo al Carbon, 2 grilled chicken breast fillets over grilled tomatoes, onions, & peppers ($20). Served on sizzling skillet, note to staff: please serve this w/ a side plate so as not to eat or slice the chicken directly from the hot skillet. Thank you. We interacted w/ Kassy & 3 other waitstaff. All were very attentive & competent. They did honor our online 10% off coupon. This was a good value dinner even at full price. Hours: M-Th 11am-9pm, Fri 11am-10pm, Sat 12-10pm, Sun 12-9pm. Street parking only. Muchas Gracias to all at the new Salsa Latina and we will visit again soon. Nick & Liz, Albany, NY, US
What a turn around! The last time I visited this location was about three years ago and it was barely average. On this day the food was fresh, presented well and tasted GREAT!!!! Even the tortilla chips served were fresh not day old or store bought. The waitress was young but very sweet and attentive. Just the way you should serve. The decor was different from the last last time I was there. It was lighter and brighter in a good way. They have a new chef....our food looked good and it definitely tasted absolutely wonderful. We ordered a pitcher of mango margaritas because we were celebrating a friends birthday 🎂. I will definitely go back!!! 👍 My only regret is that I dived into my food before I took a picture to post...🥺
We consistently order takeout from here and occasionally dine in. We have little ones so going out to eat doesn't happen often. This place is consistently delicious, punctual, and friendly. I highly recommend the plantains and cheese for an app, and all the seafood dishes have been great. They have a perfect selection for littles and the margaritas are tasty for the grown ups ☺️
PLEASE BRING BACK YOUR TACO BAR YOU USED TO DO ON CENTRAL AVE
The service is great and the staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly. The food is so fantastic! Hands down the best enchiladas I've ever had, and I really appreciate the wide selection of their vegetarian menu. Everything, even the chips and salsa, tasted fresh and homemade. You can tell a lot of love and care goes into the food.
A good friend brought us here for the first time years ago, and it is probably our favorite spot for authentic Mexican cuisine in the Capital District. Great variety on the menu, large portions, and nice drink menu. Can't imagine someone getting bad service, we have always found the service to be friendly and attentive.
Excellent Mexican food. I had the tacos de carnitas. The flavor was amazing and they had just the right little bit of crispiness to the meat. My wife also really enjoyed her fajitas. Everything that we had was very flavorful and tasty. I will definitely be back.
My first time coming here was with a group of friends. We were getting drunk pre Covid times, we were a lil loud and messy. But that did not stop them from giving us the best service ever !!! Ever since than I have been hooked, they have yet to disappoint me. God bless all the workers in there ❤️ You guys always give me so much food and as a Caribbean that can’t cook, you making me feel right at home thank you❤️ 1/26/23 This is the best food to order food to your home. This is truly comfort food and the quality never fails. Thank you for this delicious food 😍
We had a large party and our waitress handled everything with ease. The complementary chips and salsa were delicious. The menu had all the regulars, plus some more eclectic items. In addition, there was a large specials menu.
This is a great place to eat! The food is flavorful, the staff is incredibly personable, and the atmosphere is top notch. Every Monday they have a buffet-- they keep the food fresh and it tastes amazing! And if authenticity is important to you, you will not be disappointed.
The Best Buffet with the freshest and most delicious Mexican food! And its on Monday at an incredible price!! All around amazing reataurant with ample, delicious food choices. Still a Wonderful place, right on Central Avenue and in East Greenbush! Go to enjoy!
Really like this place. Their food is really tasty, authentic, reasonably priced. Authentic Latin American food is difficult to find in the Capital District but you'll find it here. Atmosphere is nothing super-special but makes for a pleasant dining experience. Wait staff is really nice and helpful. A lock
Very flavorful and generous portions of food. Liliana our waitress was amazing! I had fish tacos and they came with refried beans, rice and corn tortillas. Very authentic and the music it's lovely. They had classics Latin artists. People are very nice and everything is clean and neat.
They forgot utensils in my to go bag & my beans were cold. When I asked one of the waiters to provide me with utensils, she cut me off & told me to wait. She never came back to help me, she just returned to bar tend. The second waitress helped me & she was polite, but seemed too busy & was distracted I felt like just another number in the restaurant. Beautiful art in the building however.
I have loved the Central Ave location for years. Consistently good & reasonably priced. The new location has the same great taste & value!I really like the new decor BUT the lights are so bright it feels too much like a hospital cafeteria. Please just dim them and the vibes will be perfect too.
Always loved this place. If you are looking for great mexican food in Albany, this is the place. I've been eating here for years at the old central ave location. The new place has a very modern feel to it . I love the artwork and decor. Service was great, fast and attentive. Once the new location is discovered....this place is going to take off
Wonderful place with lovely staff. They always treat my 7 year old like a VIP, and they have authentic salsa that they continue to refill throughout your meal. So far I have tried their tortillas soup, quesadillas, enchiladas, and fajitas, all great. Only caveat, make sure to specify soft shell tacos if that’s what you want for lunch specials. They default to hard shell.
This place was amazing!! The drinks and food were PERFECT and delicious!! Our waiter was very friendly. The atmosphere is great, beautiful decor. The chairs and tables are painted with different scenes on them. We shared Taquitos Mexicanos (vegetarian style). 2 of us got fajitas (1 veggie, 1 chicken) they came with all the fixings and were sizzling hot. My hubby got the pasta with chicken, said he would definitely get it again. Gotta check them out!
Exquisite Food!!! The food is mouthwatering and perfecto! Authentic Mexicano Food, and Perfecto Camarones a la Diabla I highly recommend it. The service was excellent, and the waitresses are very nice. The decorations and musica are fire! Best Salsa Latina in the World!!! 🌎🔥👍🏽 -҉ 𝒸𝓮𝒷𝓸𝓁𝓁𝒶 -҉
The food is fresh and great. They come up to check on you with a smile on their face. They greet their customers at the door. They are super clean and nice. If you come here often they already know your order and they treat you like family. They are so caring and nice, that I come here often. The place is a 5 star review for me. Signed - My 8 year old Daughter!
*Recent Edit (12/11/25) I had to add 2 recent pictures. My husband stopped by this restaurant after work and he picked up our FAVORITE DISH which is the Seafood Soup. I was ABSOLUTELY AMAZED AND APPRECIATED how they took the LOVE, CARE, AND CONCERN in wrapping up our seafood soup. Each bowl was individually wrapped in Saran wrap and then double bagged and tied. Nothing spilled and nothing was wasted. THANK YOU SO MUCH for making our evening special!!! Please I urge others to visit and patron Salsa Latina!!! You will not be disappointed!!! 🤗☺️🤗 This has the best authentic Mexican Cuisine in Albany! We are so glad that they opened Salsa Latina on New Scotland Avenue. It brings real flavor to this side of town. The waitress is very nice and the food is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! This is our 2nd time coming to this restaurant and I honestly cannot wait for the 3rd and more. My husband and I ordered the seafood soup.... And it was PHENOMENAL!!! I wanted to savor and elongate my experience...so we purposely did not finish our soup and took the rest home. The freshly made corn chips and salsa... You can eat by itself... And let's not speak about the black bean soup... Perfection! I really hope this restaurant stays because it's needed! Very clean and comfortable atmosphere. *I literally just left Salsa Latina and rushed to give this review. Keep up the excellent work ... You have customers for life!
Food was amazing! I ordered from this restaurant for our employee of the month luncheon for 25 people. All of my employees loved the food, and the portion sizes were great!
⸻ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an amazing time at this local gem! The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. From the drinks to the food- best quesadillas ever! I was lucky to stop by during their Tequila Day celebration, and the atmosphere was full of good energy and fun! The specialty Margarita cocktails were creative and refreshing — perfect for the summer heat. The staff was welcoming and attentive, and you can tell they take pride in their food and service. Whether you’re a fan of latin cuisine or just looking for something new and exciting, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend!
I first went to Salsa Latina in 2009 when I lived nearby right after graduating college. I have always loved it but stopped going due to the neighborhood getting more seedy and parking being difficult to find. I am SO HAPPY they moved to New Scotland! So I returned with my family of 4 after 10 years of not going. On a Saturday around 5 we found parking less than a block away and were seated immediately. The music and decor are exactly what you’d want in a Mexican restaurant. Love that they’ve added some Peruvian choices and birria items. We had a medium mango house margarita, guacamole, kids chicken tenders, kids beef enchilada and fries, combo 10 with beef tamale/enchilada/1other thing I forgot and the carnitas tacos with rice and beans. All so delicious and fresh! I did. It expect my carnitas tacos to be sooooo filled with meat so I was very impressed. Also, sign up on their site and you get an immediate 10% off coupon which I believe also applied to my alcoholic beverage (which doesn’t always happen with discounts). Can’t wait to go back!
The food is good here! I asked for a spicier salsa and they delivered. The server was also very friendly and the place was a nice vibe. The inside is colorful and they have different artists painted on the walls, although idk how I feel about Pitbull’s portrait lol Overall a good spot to eat at
**If you find my review helpful, please click on the thumbs up 👍 icon - thank you!** What a LOVELY restaurant! We actually went to the neighborhood to visit another restaurant, which was closed...so we walked around until we stumbled upon this little gem 💎 😃 As soon as you walk in, you'll be struck by the bright, happy decor and the lovely, individually painted chairs. It's as if you've been instantly transported from Albany to a beach restaurant in Latin America! The food is delicious and the service is EXCELLENT - we had a happy and attentive waitress, and it was obvious that all the other staff were equally cheerful. Just a wonderful way to wind down the week - we went for dinner on a Friday. We HEARTILY recommend this wonderful restaurant! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Omg it was amazing !!! Oh the food was delicious and the server was nice. But omg the food. Their house enchilada sauce is the best I ever had. Their salsa is so good we had to get some to take home. Their carnitas are delicious. Tacos amazing. Basically anything you order you will be happy with. They also have a children's menu that features all the basic kid foods. Chicken, Mac and cheese, French fries, so there's something for kids also. Best Mexican food ever outside of my kitchen, heck they might even be better than my family's cooking!
Food was amazing. We had the chicken and beef soft tacos. Not only was everything fresh. It was delivered to our table so fast and hot. The salsa was homemade and had just the right kick. Affordable and Jess our waitress was lovely. Highly recommend this place. Can't wait to come back. 2nd time here. Omg delicious. My son is a chef and he is over the moon. Fresh guacamole
Food was banging but the service was kinda depressing. Our server was all over the place confused. I mean things get hectic and busy at this restaurant but the server really didn't know what she was doing which was sad. I think I would do to go here rather then stay here to eat. It was way too crazy here, but thank God the food was impressively yummmm!!! So buyer beware!!! Grab and go, get a nice drink at the bar and then bring your food home and enjoy.
Salsa Latina is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area by far. The food is always fresh and delicious and served quickly. Service is good and the ambiance fits the theme and is always clean. As an added bonus, on Monday they offer an all you can eat buffet stocked with a good number of items and at $7 for lunch and $12 for dinner it's super cheap. Definitely worth checking out.
Salsa Latina has continuously been a great spot for lunch. It still tastes good, with generous portions, for a good price even after they moved to the nicer location.
The food was great. I feel the service could be better with more staff that are better trained. Wait times were long and staff had to ask lots of questions regarding orders. I would eat there again.
Great lunch spot of the “tex-mex” variety. Inexpensive lunch combos (under 10$) of the usual taco/enchilada/quesadilla with rice and beans. Excellent Chile rellenos with ranchero sauce. Staff does their job but can seem a bit overwhelmed and/or distracted. The overall food quality is so good though it’s a regular spot for us.
We have eaten here a number of times. They have good lunches at a very reasonable cost. The dinners are good with some of the usual tex/mex items but also items that perhaps are closer to what you would find south of the border. The food is always well prepared and a friendly staff to serve it.
Went in around 9 tired after getting home from work and not wanting to cook. One of the waitresses met me at the door with a smile and was kind. I explained I hadn’t ordered and she asked if I needed a menu. I said if I could please just have a burrito with carnitas that would be great. It wasn’t exactly on the menu but they made me a side burrito with carnitas on the fly. They added rice and beans, I ordered a side of guacamole. Went I got home the food was still hot and it was excellent but most of all I appreciated how kind, efficient and accommodating they were. I’ll definitely bring my partner there when we have some time to sit down and eat. Thanks
Kelly our waitress was very friendly, polite..great customer service. The drinks..mojita..frozen margaritas were amazing!!! The food was great..plentiful enough to take home for the following day!! I highly recommend!!
Slowish service on a Saturday night. Not a lot of people in there, but still acceptable. My margarita was NOT strong. I honestly liked their location better when it was central ave. It’s kinda sad they moved .still good though. They moved from one area with mediocre parking to an area with even worse parking. I liked the atmosphere and decor better in the other one. Overall better experience at the former one on central ave , but this one is good enough. Service was better at the other one, but they just opened a month ago, so maybe it will get better. I don’t remember their margaritas being as expensive as they are here, at their former location. Apparently they move to new Scotland and think they can charge more 😆atleast pourrrr that stuff then.
Staff was friendly, reasonable portions and food wasdelicious.
Great food and lovely taste. Loved their fajitas, their nachos might need more flavor to it. Great price and worth a try
I love Salsa Latina. I repeatedly order take out and come to dine in. They have fantastic drinks, entrees, and appetizers. Some stand outs are the pina colada, chicharron, and the chuleta entree. The service is great. They are attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is welcoming. I highly recommend and I would go back. Very authentic and a gem in the capital region.
I ordered take out. The atmosphere was congenial. Those sitting at the bar chatted with each other as well as the staff. There is bar seating as well as a comfortable dinning area. I had two orders of enchiladas and another very specific order of something else. Everything was made as ordered and delicious. The next time I there, I hope to sit down and have a drink.
The frozen Margaritas were excellent and $8.00. The food is nicely spiced and served hot. My only negative was the steak fajita as the meat was on the tough side. Stay with the chicken. Overall a nice place, beautiful Mexican art inside, including the tabletops. Friendly staff. Our waiter was Jose. Thanks!
Two and a half stars. The food was original, but much of it was slightly stale. The service and cleanliness (which counts heavily) was lackluster and poor. I speak fluent Spanish (tho a gringa), and lived in S. A., but was disappointed with the overall quality. Pity, I wished it had been better.
It was so so. Not too terrible but nothing to write home about. The best dish was the kids chicken tenders LOL. they were crispy and super tender.
The food is tasty but the service is slow. If you have time on your hands try it out. The food is Latin food but I must say that is not spicy so it can be tolerable for everyone. Tasty and hot. They also have a bar with refreshments for the hot weather. Is always busy so for me that is a plus.
Salsa Latina is like many of the other Mexican restaurants in the area. The food was average. I got a grilled chicken dish with rice and beans. They served plain white rice, which I found odd, and the chicken was very dry and lacked flavor. The plantain that came along with it was cooked perfectly. But, I wouldn't get the dish again. The other meals at my table looked great, so maybe it was just my dish that didn't rank high. The service was good and the food came quickly. Although it wasn't a five star hit, I'd be willing to give it another try.
I really wanted to like this place. I'd heard great things about the food from an acquaintance from Peru. The evening I went, there was an extremely loud group at one of the larger booths. I recall the guacamole was delicious and the margaritas were good. The noise was so annoying and distracting, we just had our dinners bagged. Not sure it's fair to rate them after reheating. Think it's up to management to keep the environment pleasant for ALL their customers.
We drove all the way for 15-20mins on a snowy evening to get our food. Everything looked great and portion was fine. I ordered chicken chinichanga and my husband ordered a vegetarian combo. Both of our food tasted bad. Almost no flavor. The chicken within the chinichanga was not seasoned at all and tasted very bad. I have had mexican food from other places in Albany and few other states in USA, and to be honest nowhere chimichanga tasted this bad. It’s always full of flavor. My husbands food had three tortillas with stuffed veggies and cheese. All of these were corn tortilla and tasted too bad. I never knew that I would need to order flour tortill separately. It’s by default flour tortilla unless otherwise mentioned. The only okayish food was the desert. Anyway I would not recommend this place. Sorry!
Came here for Father's day w my old man. All was good until what I order came in and the chef burnt my veggies (you can smell it burnt) and he was very stubborn about it. He basically said I wouldn't like anything else as I try to get a different dish. Rude!! Probably take my money else where future reference.
This place has gone down hill, the flavor of the food is not consistent. But if your looking for a great margarita this is your place. 🍸 I ordered an enchilada with beans and rice and found a long piece of plastic in my enchilada and almost choked. I am grateful one of my kids didn’t eat this and was able to retrieve it from throat before choking to death. ⚠️ The owner was very accommodating but since that experience I have not be returned. PLEASE CHECK YOUR FOOD WHILE AND BEFORE EATING A LOT OF THESE PLACES ARE NOT SANITARY.
2nd visit. First visit was 5 star amazing so came back for a second visit. The 2nd visit wasn't very good. I ordered carnitas. Only 4 pieces of pork came with the order, and no onions, and the pork didn't taste the same as we had on our first visit. The rest of the meal was fine. The other person in my party ordered iced tea. The iced tea tasted terrible, tasted like mold. I ordered a soft drink that was fine but was never offered a refill. Chips and salsa came late after we had ordered, and was small in portion and was never offered more chips. Our waitress was friendly when we came but went off shift halfway through our meal and no other waitress was assigned. We waited 20 minutes for our check and was told our credit card payment could not processed until the staff called the waitress that went off shift and get a code from her. Another 10 minutes went by until we finally paid our bill. Our first visit was fantastic, this visit fell short. I hope this visit was a one time occurrence on a bad day.
Food is delicious but they false advertise. Restaurant menus say Friday open till 11 pm & Saturday open till 11 pm. And specifically says take-out, delivery, catering, gift cards and full bar!! So why is it that three days in a row there’s no dam delivery. The food is fantastic and the family like it, however I don’t own a car and I’m disabled. So it’s not like I can go pick it up, sometimes that delivery really counts!!! But when I order it there’s no delivery. Wtf….. a thousand times!!!!! If u not gonna have delivery available then why the hell you got it on menu!!
Ordered the cali burrito and didnt enjoy it at all. It had almost like a pizza sauce on the top of the burrito that didn't suit the flavor profile of the burrito at all. Ive eaten burritos before and this is the first one prepared in that way. Had to eat the burrito with a fork/knife and it just all fell apart and didnt meet my expectations
We ordered Mexican meals but it was really the worst Mexican food ever. the burritos were covered in marinara sauce and had zero taste. I also ordered tamales and OMG how gross. I do not recommend this place at all!!! I’ll stick with El Patron 🤨
My mother and I went there and the ladies in the store were kind and the sitting area was very clean. However, my mother got herself coffee and when she opened her cream there was mold in it. It wasn't even just a tad bit of mold, it grew to the top of the packet. We told the one of the workers and she took it and gave us more creamer which also had mold growing in it. . We sat in the back or the right side where the coffee is made and we watched the worker open many packets of creme with mold and throw then way. The gave us salsa and chips and on the rim of the salsa bottle seemed to be some fuzzy stuff. I have no idea if it was new mold forming. I have seen very good reviews for this restaurant so maybe it was just a bad experience for us but i still wouldn't recommend this mold infested place to anyone.
It used to be one of my favorite restaurants and they were rude and disrespectful. They took money for a meal that was paid for and did not accommodate my friend for their mistake plus they got a tip. The “owner” is unprofessional and disrespectful.
When you build a good experience.. Customers tend to tell one another about that! But a bad experience could really hurt a company so I try not to broadcast any bad experiences that I have with a restaurant nor company! However, This was most definitely the WORST EXPERIENCE THAT I’VE EVER HAD!! It’s a typical Friday Evening in Albany, NY.. BUSY! I walk in and see that MOST tables are full all except for ONE table. As I stand at the bar waiting to ask for a drink and a desert; the Manager walks over and asks if I’m there for a “Pick Up Order”. As I kindly let him know that I’d like a booth and a drink/desert menu. First he DEEP SIGHS 😩 THEN Thankfully to his defense, a KIND BARTENDER comes to his rescue and mentions that there’s a booth available. I was HESITANT to sit down due to the UNCOMFORTABLE feeling that the “Manager” had given me. Still AGAINST MY BETTER JUDGMENT I sat down. I asked for a margarita 🍹 when it came out; it was much stronger than anticipated. I took a sip and instantly DID NOT like the taste. I WAITED 40min for anyone to come to my table and ask me for my next order. @ First, I didn’t make a Big deal over it due to the fact that I’m considerate and it’s a Friday so of course it’s busy! When the waitress FINALLY came around, I mentioned to her that the drink was too strong and I did not like the taste. Not once did she ask if id like anything else. I instantly asked her to return it which she DID NOT & I asked for a water. I kindly, asked for a desert and a water then went about my business. About 50min later, the waitress comes to retrieve my drink, water, and desert. Drink still FULL. Out of good faith I would have thought that perhaps because I did NOT like the drink, immediately mentioned it to the waitress, and asked for a water instead. That perhaps the drink would be discounted or taken off the bill. When I saw that it wasn’t, without an attitude I mentioned it to the waitress. 5min (THE FASTEST TIME THAT I HAD SEEN WHILE BEING @ THIS RESTAURANT DURING MY TWO AND HALF HOUR EXPERIENCE) The manager INSTANTLY came over with an ATTITUDE & told me that the margaritas are naturally strong (agreed, however this one in particular I just did not like and I mentioned it to the waitress yet no attempts were made to rectify the situation) He said that he needed to make money and that when he goes to a restaurant; regardless if he likes the food or not that he still pays. In this economy, I can NOT FAULT HIM HOWEVER; not once did he apologize for the waitress not making mention of it. Not once did he attempt to rectify the situation. I wasn’t asking for a free meal nor initially for the drink to be discounted. An apology would have be sufficient. NOT ONCE DID I RECEIVE THAT!! I was charged my full bill MINUS $8 out of a $17 drink THAT I DID NOT DRINK!!!!! Upon leaving, I called to ask for the managers name because after paying and being treated as if I were wrong for not liking their drink. I didn’t focus on the manager name. They told me that the managers name was ROBERTO CARLOS (not sure if it’s accurate or not) However; what I do know is that even after hearing about my unfortunate experience in their restaurant not once did they apologize nor ask what they could DO BETTER IN THE NEXT TIME! It’s so unfortunate, because I had genuinely liked this restaurant prior but needless to say I WILL NOT GOING THERE EVER AGAIN! Sadly, one bad review won’t make nor break their restaurant BUT THEY CERTAINLY TAINTED MY EXPERIENCE THERE TONIGHT AND ILL NEVER BE GOING THERE AGAIN NOR WOULD NEVER EVER REFERE ANYONE THERE AGAIN!!
The food is usually good, but DO NOT USE their online ordering tool--it will charge your credit card and send you a confirmation email that your order has been received and is being made, but you will never receive your food. When you call to ask about it they will tell you they never received the order *shrug*, and don't know what to do about the charge to your card *shrug*, or remedying the situation (by either offering to actually fulfill the order or cancel it and the charge to your card). Which is too bad, because the food is usually good.
ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE! I am not harsh on these things but on a Mother’s Day experience and not even that busy. Extremely bad service. Half hour after sitting had to get up and ask for waters. 30 mins after that...ask to take food order and after yet another hour and 3 other tables getting seated after us...we finally get our food. Oh hey can we get utensils?!... The Cook completely ignored my mother telling him it’s been 2 hours since we sat down....it’s Mother’s Day guy...not cool! I’m never coming here again.
The food itself was good. My friend and I went for lunch we waited patiently after being told two-seat ourself 15 minutes went by and we were never greeted by wait staff after 15 minutes we decided to get up on our own and go to the buffet. Upon finishing our first plate and returning to the table with our second we were then asked if we'd like something to drink never once did she discuss any specials what beverages they actually had or drink specials even recommendations we both ordered a Sprite even though it actually come in for a house Margarita that I heard was actually delicious. Now almost an hour and 10 minutes into our dining experience we still haven't seen our waitress again and have been looking for our check for a few moments at this point. I got up and approached the cash register and asked if there was an owner or manager I could speak to simple reply was yeah..... Me presuming he was the manager began to voice my concern which was completely disregarded after handing me my check he calls our waitress over and our waitress asked if there was a problem with a chuckle. Well yeah there was a problem the owner hearing our conversation and my complaint manager whoever he is never offered an apology which is Free by the way for poor service. I won't be returning unless it's for a to-go order.
Sadly the food was amazing. I had way too many issues while ordering my food. They charged me around 5$ extra for a side of hot sauce that wasnt even a full container of sauce.. then I never got my sweet plantains so I called for a refund on just that item I never received.... they were unable to refund me my money after having me on hold for 10 minutes. None of it was worth it and I will never order from there again.
This the 2nd time I ordered food from this establishment and immediately got sick. I will not be returning.
The waiters are nice but after having a taco and chips I was told by the manager I cnt take a drink to go bc I didn’t like the taco🧐and so that doesn’t count as food HUHHHHHHHH isn’t the point of not taking drinks out is u not having food or being drunk ? I would’ve gave u 4 stars and spent more money but after that I honestly just wanted to go.
Woman who claimed to be owner was sooo rude and lied. Called from my front desk position at a hotel to see if they would deliver dinner to me and she first said they don't deliver to us even tho not even 2 weeks ago they did then she denied that she told me that they NEVER delivered to us and said that they just don't have the time to deliver. So which was it. And to make the matters worse is they actually brought menus for us to hand out to the guest. While there food is good. I will not be promoting this place due to the nasty service from the "owner".
The food was very normal, nothing special, but the attention was terrible, no one approached the table to ask how everything was or if we needed something else, every time we needed something we had to get up to ask for it there, that happened like on 4 occasions, and after all they included the tip when they obviously didn't deserve it, there was no service in this, I'm a waitress and I always like to leave a good tip but this occasion is really not worth it
Service was bad. For drinks and food it took more that a hour and it was empty. Will not recommend this place.
I ordered the CHICKEN ENCHILADA (top left menu item inside the menu for about $11 dollars n change). I was disgusted to see canned peas, carrots, and corn in my plate mixed in with their rice, was SO GROSS!! I hate canned vegetables!! The chicken was a little on the dry side and the service mediocre. For the quality of food you get at the hike in price GO TO MARGARITA CITY and you WON’T be disappointed!! They have more descent prices and excellent food quality.
I found hair in my food 3 times during my last 2 dining experiences. The 1st time was about a month ago. It was actually in my dinner guests drink. We showed the waiter, he apologized and made her a new drink, water under the bridge. This time we go back there was a piece of hair in the tortilla chips. We're trying to be positive so we look at it as it's a complimentary item, we'll just make the waiter aware and ask for new chips, so we did. Our food comes out, I had a taco salad with chicken. Close to the end of the dish I see a hair within the chicken at the bottom. At this point I'm just over it all and ready to go. I was going to say something but my dinner guests hayes when I "cause a scene" in public so I agreed to let her "handle it" while I went to the restroom. She said she made the waiter aware of the issue and assured me it was handled. Not sure what she meant, I left it alone. At the least I expected the meal to be comped but no. In order to not "cause a scene" I paid, left and I WILL NOT BE BACK!
Today was my first time there which I ordered a taco salad, which was mushed up with beans and what ground beef? They don't give you enough vegetables, but they give you a lot of lettuce. And when I walked in he said do you want a menu not high? Would you like a menu? The energy was different.Would I ever eat there again? No
Terrible lunch. Maybe worth $5 definitely not $15. And it's not even made correctly. Wrong ingredients, bland, gross. Never again.
Just found a large piece of plastic in my salad as was chewing. The owner could care less. Been to this establishment since it was central ave. The food is no longet authentic since the relocation. I will not be returning sorry l forgot to take a picture of the 5cm x 5cm piece of plastic that l could have choked on
Have eaten in the restaurant and enjoyed it but normally order takeout or delivery. Writing this because I am fed up with this place. Ordered a 1 burrito, 1 taco combo asking for no ranchero/red sauce. Food was delivered with Ranchero sauce on top. This has happened the last several times i have ordered takeout or delivery. Was given only two tablespoons of beans and that ended up being a blessing as they tasted like someone had mixed in cigarette ash. Chips given with queso dip and salsa were stale. They used to be really good but quality has declined immensely the last several months, super disappointed.
