One of the best restaurants I’ve visited in NYC. Was here for my anniversary and host staff welcomed and congratulated us from the entry. The atmosphere was such a vibe, it was beautiful, music was great, and lighting was dim. The service was spectacular. Everyone was very attentive and made sure our dining experience was memorable. The food was out of this world. Everything we ordered came out hot and fresh. Food was 20/10! This was such an amazing experience. Definitely will be back!! Thank you to all the staff for making our anniversary special!

I had to leave a review after having the most amazing experience here this weekend. It was my husband’s birthday and they were able to squeeze us in on a busy Saturday night. The service was outstanding — Ashley was our waitress and the hosts at the front were exceptionally kind and helpful (particularly the man in the sparkly jacket but we didn’t catch his name sadly). On top of the service, the food was spectacular. Our waitress helped us choose a variety of shareable dishes and each one was phenomenal. I have pics of the half duck, dan dan noodles, and lobster noodles. We also ate the pork and chive dumplings, fried rice, sirloin, and fried eggplant. There isn’t any dish I wouldn’t recommend or get again!

All the dishes were seriously so good! Three of us loved everything and our favorites were the fried eggplant and squid noodles. They do an amazing job with fried dishes! Lit every single one we tried was incredible. Definitely one of my favorite Chinese spots in the city. The portion was p small so recommend ordering multiple dishes. We got 4 appetizers, 3 main, and 2 desserts for three people and was a good amount

First visit and absolutely unforgettable. I had the privilege of dining here as a guest of Amazon and want to thank them for hosting at such an incredible place. From the moment we arrived the ambiance was perfect, a seamless blend of upscale, modern, and inviting. The service was impeccable, attentive without being intrusive, with drinks and food flowing throughout the evening, literally. The culinary experience was outstanding. Every dish was vibrant, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Dish after dish, I was fulfilled and it was outstanding. Crazy because just last week we were at Resident’s 58th Street location with a Michelin chef, yet Chinese Tuxedo matched that level of quality and creativity with ease. The entire evening felt effortless, with the kitchen and bar working in perfect harmony. There was never a pause, never an empty glass, and every plate impressed. You can feel the pride in every detail from presentation to pacing. (Wish I’d taken more pictures but was having too much fun!) An absolutely top tier dining experience in NYC. Although we were over 20 guests, nonstop delight. Whether for a special event, a business dinner, or a night out with friends, Chinese Tuxedo delivers on every level. Had an incredible time at Chinese Tuxedo! My best friend and I came here after seeing it on RHONY, and I'm so glad we did. The atmosphere was amazing, the music was on point, and the food and wine selection--just wow! From our host, to the waitress, and fun sommelier, the service was quick, genuine, and lively! We ordered tapas-style, which was the perfect way to try a little bit of everything. Every dish was delicious, and the whole experience was top-tier. I'll definitely be back. Great for girls night, date night, everything. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience at Chinese Tuxedo. 1st their service is exceptional! Our server was informative and share the history of the space and gave great recommendations. We tried a dish from each section, woodear, eggplant, ham sui gok, dan dan noodles, oxtail bao, crispy pork belly. The dishes were all delicious and I love the twist on the sauces for the crispy pork belly. Also they have a speakeasy as well!

I have not been this excited about a restaurant for a long time. Our daughter has celiac and they have a gluten-free menu that is DELICIOUS! Our 15 year old really enjoyed the GF egg plant rolls. The pork was great. The Johnny Rice is something special as you can taste the wok grill enhanced flavor. We loved our dinner. We were all so excited about it and happy.. with celiac it was nice to be able to go out and eat and she could just eat without worrying. They have a lot of really great drinks too.

We started with the spring rolls which were my favorite from the appetizers. The fried eggplants were a bit too sweet and oily for me and the scallop was just okay. For mains, the dan dan noodles were amazing with a nice spicy kick. The squid ink noodles were absolutely outstanding and definitely the best thing on the menu. We also tried the beef sirloin which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the duck which was also very good. Special shoutout to Jeffery and an even bigger shoutout to our waitress Beatrice. She was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. She recommended most of our dishes and provided exceptional service throughout the night.

I had an amazing experience at Chinese Tuxedo! I was intrigued by how hidden it was, and once I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. The drinks were also great. The ambiance is fantastic, and the staff is friendly and attentive. I highly recommend the veggie dumplings and the oxtail bun—they were both flavorful and satisfying. To top it off, I discovered a speakeasy in the basement, which had an incredible vibe. Definitely a must-visit!

this has to be one of my favorite restaurants in New York. The service is always fantastic, the drinks are great and the food is outstanding. Especially for the price point. I think everything is absolutely worth it. One of my friends has been here five times for this reason even though we live in New York, where there are a million restaurants. I can't believe I only tried this place now and I'll definitely be back as the service was exceptional, and every single bite was just delicious. Not to mention, the interior is really beautiful too. Extremely recommend!

Had to book this spot two weeks in advance to secure a table and I now know why. This place is top tier all around. The staff were warm, welcoming and attentive. They made the experience all the better with their professionalism. The drinks were tasty and refreshing. The food was amazing from start to finish. All of the food was bursting with rich, well-balanced flavors, beautifully plated, and expertly cooked to perfection, enhancing every bite. Booking this spot along with the Peachy’s bar next door makes for a great date night.

My first time here last night the restaurant was very pretty. I love the way they decorated it for lunar new year. The menu options were just OK but what we ordered was good. My favorite was the eggplant from the dim sum menu. I would go back just for this specific dish. I didn’t really feel the vibe of the first server that we had. I felt like she was very condescending to us when she spoke just her tone and her energy wasn’t something that I would want to deal with before having a meal. The server that we had when she left was amazing. He was fun. He was lighthearted, and it changed the tone of the meal completely. I feel like he was very professional, and he read the vibe of our table. Overall, I would come back to this restaurant because of the decor and try some of the new dishes they have on the menu

The best part about this spot is the atmosphere. It's beautifully decorated and has a charming yet not too excessively classy vibe. Food-wise, I found most things were decent, although some were a bit too fusion-y for my personal taste. The most memorable meal was the XO crab butter noodles. Otherwise, the service was very attentive. I'd still recommend it if you're looking for an elegant place to try, although if you're looking for traditional Chinese cuisine, this place is not it.

If I’m being honest, the atmosphere and service were amazing, but the vegetarian food was not that great. We ordered for around 10-11 dishes (photos in the review), and it looks quite good. So, presentation is a 10/10 too. Out of all the vegetarian dishes, the Burrata was the best. The cocktails were nice too. I would not recommend the tofu dish at all, we didn’t enjoy it. The eggplant dish was good. So, in all I would say go for the non vegetarian dishes.

I went to this Restaurant for the First time and I like the vibe of the restaurant but me and my friends had the pork Dim Sum and It really wasn't cooked all the way through like the waiter had told us but I would like if it was cooked all the way through but all in all it is a good restaurant. We also ordered rice that could have been shared between two people the portion is shareable only between two people. If I come here again I would want my Pork Dim sum to be cooked throughly next time.And also the branzino Fish tasted too fishy but my friends liked it but anyways it was definitely an authentic Experience in Chinatown.And most of the food items we ordered was too sweet.

Food was completely disgraceful. I usually never write bad reviews but what the hell! Don’t get any dish from the dim sum or any of the fried items. All the fried items were pre-fried. Frozen & refried. The crisp was all stale and tasted terrible. Avoid the hamachi the raw fish was NOT fresh at all. My husband got a cocktail & it was not good at all. The only dish that was decent was the butter xo crab noodles & the fried rice dish. But I would not come back for anything. So much more actual good restaurants in Chinatown with tasty food. I wouldn’t even consider the food here mediocre.
