If you havent had a nitrogenated Black & Tan at La Colombe (and love coffee) you must give it a try! Great almond croissant.
I like their staves because they were so friendly and courteous. You expect me to visit your shop again and again. You deserve to be at the top list! Cheers for more customers, guys!
Great service and great coffee
Really delicious coffee in financial district. Plus the have oat milk latte on Tap , Super creamy and tasty .
Great time here, excellent coffee (forget Starbucks, DD or whatever)s er vice was excellent. The one at Water street have a handsome blonde barista.
Awesome service and staff! Excellent coffee!
Great coffee with nitro boost options. Has a long line that wraps back on itself in the morning, though, at least on weekdays.
Went two days in a row. Love their coffee and have it delivered weekly at home. The bakery items here are outstanding.
Tried the draught ice latte and a caramel latte, preferred the latter. Would recommend for good coffee in nyc
Great coffee, even better than the canned ones they sell!!
Hands down the best coffee 🙌Love the draft latte and half tan.
Lovely stop for those downtown dwellers. Iced latte is just about perfect!
The quality of the coffee is awesome and the pastries are good. There is not a bit choice (ok for me). Still, almost no tables and possibilities to sit down.
Last week was my first time walking by and discovering this place. The coffee is amazing I had an Americano. The staff is extremely nice and pleasant. Great customer service
Surprisingly low key given its location. Great staff and coffee (and vegan scones!). Bring your own mug and you can get a large coffee for the price of a small. $1 refills.
Tried the gingerbread cold latte and it was fantastic. This is a really tight coffee house with limited seating in the Wallstreet district but it is a nice place.
Open nice and early, best almond chai I’ve had since visiting USA - i’ll be back :)
Great coffee house. You can order food and eat inside while enjoying their coffee. Perfect for an out-of-office work day. Their Draft Latte is amazing. Try it on ice.
I try not to fall in love with chains, but boy is La Colombe good! I love how minimal, yet elegant the atmosphere is, and the staff is always welcoming. The coffee is pricey, but AMAZING.
I got the too-good-to-go orders twice from this place. The amount is good. The best one in my opinion is an almond croissant.
Friendly staff and probably THE best espresso I've had in NYC. Small space but well designed with a comfortable wooden banquette opposite the coffee bar.
The best coffee in the entire neighborhood!! And good coffee is very hard to come by around here. They even have oat milk, which I've been looking for at all coffee shops as a non-dairy alternate.
Went there a couple of days ago and had a great experience. Barista Steph made me the best latte ive had in a while and walked me thru their coffee varieties i ended up purchasing several bags of beans. Will be visiting again.
Great coffee. Great service. Their pastries are not super fresh, but reasonably good. They have draft iced latte with milk and with oat milk. Those are super good. They have a water fountain that you can self serve. The water is cold and tasty. This place is busy on the weekend mornings but they move you through pretty quickly. Even if the line is long, you can usually get your coffee in a few New York minutes. This is also a good place to people-watch. The wall street crowd comes through. I live near here and I will often go there in the morning to get my coffee.
The best Espresso we have found in NY, thanks!
Absolutely amazing coffee. We got both brewed and specialty coffee here and both drinks were amazing. We went in because even with a Dunkin’ and a Starbucks on either side, everyone on the street had a La Colombe cup in their hand. When we come back we will try some of the specialty pastries.
What makes this place unique and wonderful is its authenticity. Their draft coffees are amazing, as well as their mocha. They use natural unsweetened chocolate for their mochas which compliments their espresso very well. They do not have wifi, a restroom, or much seating - so its not somewhere you could work or hang out. It is a good quick (unless the lines are huge, which sometimes is the case considering it is on wall st) stop for some amazing coffee. They don't have other locations with seating if you wanted to sit down and enjoy your coffee instead.
I’m reviewing places so I get a contributor badge idk. The coffee was good and the baristas were fashionable so shout out to that
Best coffee place in all of New York! The baristas are so wonderful! You try the different blends and they’ll start over if you don’t like them. (Never happened.) Awesome atmosphere, always busy and full. Great for people-watching. Their pastries are fresh and delicious. Love their scones. It is pricey, but worth every penny. If you want the full NYC coffee experience, this is the place to be. The standard to live up to for your own coffee place (Peet’s is good too.) Give it a whirl!
Not to be dramatic but I got an americano here yesterday and I think it was the best americano I’ve ever had? Their everything croissant was also so buttery and flavorful. I wish my office were downtown so I could stop here every morning!
I love this place. Went here several mornings during my NYC visit. The coffee was great. Free sparkling water! The music was perfect (Stevie Wonder) and the baristas (especially Danny) were personable, kind and efficient.
Such fast service and a delicious almond milk latte! Clean and friendly, would definitely recommend this place for a quick coffee ☕️
Shout out to the La Colombe team for serving free coffee this morning due to their Espresso machine shorting out! Always have a great experience here
Fast, efficient & friendly service. The hazelnut draft latte with oat milk offered a delightful blend of nutty undertones and creamy oat milk. It's a must-try.
Excellent coffee and very quick. Nice temperature too. Not too hot not too cold.
Consistently the best latte in the neighborhood, great baristas!
A fun stop on a walk A nice flavorful drip (Corsica) and a dense chewy almond croissant No pretense just quality
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, despite being busy. I went to buy coffee beans and they grind them for you. They also check how you will use the grounds to make sure they are grinding to the correct coarseness. Also when you purchase coffee beans (for 16 bucks) they will give you a free cold brew or drip coffee. Would go again!
They have good products, but more than that. They are kind and gentle. Thank you for your hospitality. My family are very grateful
The pumpkin spice latte was really GOOD. The guy on the cash register was also really nice. He gave a sample to taste de coffee before ordering. I appreciate that.
Very good espresso, the best I’ve tried in nyc. Love from Italy 💕
I've found a new go-to coffee spot in New York City. Their coffee is absolutely top-notch, and while they also serve some tasty pastries, it's really the coffee that stands out. I highly recommend giving it a try!
I was rushing to hop on the ferry, and this place is perfectly close to pier 11. I asked the guy for a large iced latte. He said it includes 4 shots of espresso. !!!! I said. That’s perfect 😍!!!! And it was delicious 😋
One of my favorites coffee store! Was surprise to find one here in financial district followed by the coffee scent. I got ice latte and it tasted delicious as always. The store was small but have nice seatings. I was seating on the bench while waiting for my latte which only took less than a minute wait. Love the place here, the staff was nice as well. Will visit again.
Really great coffee! I've been a few times, and every time the coffee has been absolutely amazing. My personal favorite is the vanilla draft latte. They also have a good stock of canned/sealed coffee if you would like to take some to save for later, although most of the canned options can be found in other stores.
Came here almost every day during my recent stay in NYC. The coffee is delicious, meaning sometimes you might have to queue a bit sometimes. Worth it though.
Small coffee roaster and server. No inside service now only to go. Excellent coffee, skip the Starbucks and go here. Good pastry selection
One of favorite spot for coffee in fidi (financial district) of Nyc. Great coffee! They were the first ones in the city to do coffee on tap and nitro coffee. There are few seatings, about 5-7 but tables are small and crowded. They have small bites and baked goods. La Colombe has many locations in the city and excited fidi location opened.
Good coffee, but one of the smaller La Colombe locations. Usually a long line during peak work hours. The combination of the two make it tough to sit down and enjoy your coffee. Definetly more of a grab and go spot.
Being from Ireland, I’m used to excellent barista coffee. La Columbe is one of the few places where I can find a proper shot of coffee on my lunchbreak. Great service, friendly staff, excellent coffee. However, I’m not giving 5 stars because you’re serving flat whites in tall coffee cups. A flat white should be served in a 6oz cup! Apart from that, I love this place. P.S. I was a barista for two years.
Great coffee, Good for grab and go, not really for sitting. I ordered draft latte and it so smooth, foamy nice balance.... the best latte I've ever have. They have a bench built along one side of store and two small table at each end. Good vibe, nice staff, no wifi, highly recommend.
Visiting from Vancouver Canada, came here every morning for our coffee fix and it did not disappoint! Very good tasting coffee and friendly staff
The coffee is great! And I was thrilled that they were open at 6am. Staff was fine but did nothing to make the experience great. The space is small and nothing special.
Cute place, good coffee, but the matcha latte could be improved tbh (a little too bitter)
Pretty good, small caffe Pumpkin spice is tasty and affordable. Love it! But they have a very limited choice of bakery. The location is good.
Excellent iced cold brew coffee. The store was closing early today so I was unable to purchase my nitro style brew. They offered a S'mores version, but I was not interested in the excess sugar. That aside, this shop gets very busy in the morning and just past lunch time. The employees work hard, but anyone can see how overwhelming it can get in that small space. BTW, it is best to take your brews to go.
Delicious coffee spot for a quick grab and go cup of joe. They have a nice selection of beans from Rwanda on drip for more of your classic diner style coffee or an iced cold brew with alternate milks like oat. If you’re in a rush you can also grab a chobani yogurt or juice. Pro tip: bring your sneakers cause there’s limited seating
They have the matcha base already pre-mixed and just add milk after. I feel this technique is not fresh enough and it leaves the matcha more bitter than it should. I took an almond croissant and it was average taste and quality.
Wondering if my experience was a one-off given the rest of the reviews here but the coffee was a dissapointment. It was burnt and lacked any more flavor than your generic cup of black coffee.
There are times I just want the feel of a Starbucks coffee in my mouth then slowly going down my throat feeling up my belly all while I'm able to sit in a normal chair as a normal table and stare off into the distance at nothing letting it do its trick and in the end once it's all over the trick works because I'm up and ready to start the day. Those times happen every morning like clockwork and La Cumbre doesn't quite know the formula to get me all the way up just kind of half staffed and in the end left wanting so much more but with nothing I can do about it other than complained in my head about the lack of places to even sit and be normal and look at nothing in la Colombe... that's all I ask for is nothing.
Do not recommend filter coffee to anyone its worse than starbucks
Good coffee. Not the friendliest staff. You better know what you want before you come through those doors. If this is your first time trying their coffee, I highly suggest you look at their menu online before going. This location in particular doesn’t have their drink menu written anywhere. You won’t know what they have or how much it is until you pay for it. Go somewhere else.
Came on a Saturday, they were out of *regular milk* in the middle of the day and insisted that I get oat milk, but also pay extra for it. I thought it was weird to make me pay for a milk that I don’t even want, and the person at the register was really rude when I questioned it, saying all this stuff about how she doesn’t make the rules and it’s a corporation—like okay??? It was truly not that deep I was just trying to get a coffee 😭
Coffee quality is good but the barista didn’t foam the milk at all for my latte. Very lazy and disappointing.
We’ve been waiting for making our order, but barista didn’t bothered to stop his conversation with his friend. Had to go another coffee shop to get my morning coffee.
There is a woman who works there who is the rudest barista I have come across in NYC. After I finished paying for my coffee and tipping, she told me that I could not have my dog in the store that I was holding in a shoulder bag. When I told her that I did not know that this was the rule because Starbucks and Gregorys right next-door allows dogs she barked at me that this was not Starbucks! Next time let me know before I’m paying for my items so that I can leave immediately instead of standing there subject to your complaints. Also it would be helpful to have a sign on the actual door so that people know not to enter. Avoid yourself the headache -there are so many other great coffee places in the area.
HORRIBLE SERVICE AND STAFF WITH MAJOR ATTITUDE This place requires a manager who understand efficiency. The staff is all over the place. There is always a long line due to extreme inefficiency of the staff. The cashier often takes orders and makes drinks while others just stand and do nothing. Additionally, staff members have major attitude. I work across the street. A lot of my colleagues love their coffee but stopped going because of the unnecessary long lines and staff's attitude. Just as an example: I stopped by this morning to get a cup of tea. I asked for it to go. The girl that made the tea was a walking disaster. As she was trying to figure out who ordered the tea I simply told her that I did and that I am taking it to go and don't need a plate. Her answer 'Jesus'. She was not happy with me even daring to interfere with her routine. WOULD NEVER EVER GO TO THIS PLACE!
I ordered latte and it was terrible. It was nothing like the pictures on Google reviews, save yourself some money and go to Starbucks for the exact same coffee. Also they do not have bathrooms. FYI
