Avaliações de The Red Hook Winery Albee Square
Outstanding winery first and foremost. I made a reservation for midday a la carte wines and was a fantastic experience overall. Situated right on the water of Red Hook with a nice quiet scenic view of the sound. All flights we ordered were perfectly chilled and of course display cards informing patrons what each was. The staff was so courteous and just made us felt so relaxed. I was not aware they had a private parking lot so next time I’m definitely driving there. This winery is equivalent to most of the wineries out on eastern Long Island and North Fork without the extensive travel. Perfect day getaway for some slippage.
This was my first ever official wine tasting and Emily not only made me and my guest feel so welcomed but also excited to be experiencing something like this as first timers! We ended up leaving with two bottles, one being the ‘Salt Crush’ which was one of the bottles on June’s tasting menu and it was absolutely delicious. The wines offered are diverse and really allow you to get a feel for all the effort that goes into the wines that come from Red Hook Winery! Not to mention it’s right on the water and such a beautiful venue, just avoid the outdoor patio on a hot sunny day 😂
The Red Hook Winery Barrel Room tour was fun, interactive, and informative. We learned about New York’s wine regions, the winemaking process, and Red Hook Winery’s distinctive approach to winemaking. Our tour guide Emily went above to make everyone feel welcome and heard. I highly recommend the tour and the winery to anyone interested in learning more about winemaking and looking to sample some exquisite New York wine.
We visited on a Monday for my moms birthday and had a great time! We had the opportunity to sit both inside and outside, the view isn’t anything special but the water looked beautiful and there was a much needed breeze. Extensive wine menu, great snack options, dog friendly, and our waitress, Mercedes, couldn’t have been any sweeter and accommodating. We brought some games, as well as borrowed their Scrabble, and had an all around great visit.
Checked out this winery last month on our trip to NYC. Had a flight of wine. We enjoyed the Geante orange wine, 333 and the cabernet franc. All delicious! Hostess very nice and informative on the wines we were tasting. We walked outdoors for a short while enjoying the views of the river. We went on a Monday when it wasn’t very busy. Definitely check out this spot and enjoy the views of the river and Statue of Liberty nearby.
I had a lovely experience here! The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The wine tasted great and the snacks were also very tasty. Definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting to try something new! Note: they rotate the wine options every month incase you’d like to visit this establishment again.
Took a weekend trip to Brooklyn with my girl and we stumbled upon this winery while looking for something casual to get into near the water. Unfortunately it was a rainy day but we made the best out of the journey. Huge warehouse filled with art studios. The winery is at the very end. Chill interior and very homie. Small apps, we enjoyed some olives and ordered wine flights. First time trying orange wine! Such a great rainy day place to visit. Overall relaxed atmosphere; we bought a bottle to go. Highly recommend
I had such a great time at the Red Hook Winery. I arranged a wine tour for 6 guest and it started on time. We reserved the outdoor space and just enjoyed sitting out on the pier and enjoying the sunset while tasting 6 different wines. Perfect way to end summer and welcome fall. We all had such a lovely time.
Great ambiance and good vibes. Great location by the piers with a nice view. Went in a group of 8 - we enjoyed the wine tasting and the atmosphere. There was a parking lot and the winery was dog friendly and baby/carriage friendly. The service was great/informative/and super patient. We were also offered discounts on wine purchases. I would recommend for family or friends outing.
The atmosphere was very nice and the tribute to the historic nature of the building was evident. Did a tasting with my wife and our server was very attentive and informative about their wines. We ended up purchasing several bottles of their red blends. Would recommend and go back next time I'm in NYC
Great amazing place! Out of this world service and accommodation. Jeff who was staff was outstanding and very well educated on his wines. The whole staff went above and beyond for my friends birthday celebration. We had such an amazing time. Personally the staff there made it all. Highly recommend this spot and will definitely be back. Thanks again for everything. Jeff you are awesome ! You made my friends night and ours.
GORGEOUS during sunset time. Make sure to book in advance as I think walk-ins are limited and it gets busy. The staff are very sweet, although service was a bit slow (as I said, it gets busy!). Keep in mind there are no outdoor heaters, so bundle up if on an outside table (worth the view imo). There are snack options, but not many. My friend and I took the IKEA ferry over from Manhattan (free on weekends), explored IKEA for a bit, walked to the winery, spent a few hours there, then walked to the Red Hook Tavern for a proper dinner. Each place was maximum 15min walk apart. Beautiful way to spend our Sunday!
A lovely respite from the city, we were seated outside along the river and it was a perfect day. The knowledge of our server on the wines was great and they were able to answer our questions. I'd like a larger charcuterie board for the price but the wine tasting experience is a must. Red Hook Winery is also a great place to just chill with a glass and have a chat!
Great place for a wedding or a quiet drink with friends / partner. It has beautiful views but take your sunglasses it gets really sunny if you want outside. The views are really the big draw of this place as there is not much going on inside this place. However, the staff is super extra nice and helpful and will make your visit here a pleasant one. Personally I wouldn't go here on a Friday or Saturday. It's quiet and out of the way so luckily I was here on a Sunday and it was the perfect atmosphere for a quiet afternoon.
This location is absolutely gorgeous, right on the water and such a beautiful setting for a wine tasting. The staff was very lovely and welcoming, but unfortunately, no one explained what they were pouring at any point. I left not knowing anything about the wines or the winery itself, which was disappointing. The mixed wine flight also didn’t feel like a great showcase of what they offer, which I found surprising. The temperature of some of the wine felt off. The reservation process was also a bit disappointing. You’re required to pay a fee upfront ($20 per person), which is supposed to be credited toward your final bill. For our table of four, we paid $91 including taxes and fees, but at the end of the night, only $80 was deducted. It’s not a huge amount, but it felt odd to essentially pay $11 just for making a reservation in advance, whereas I could have walked in for free. Overall, a stunning location with friendly staff, but the experience itself left me wanting more transparency and education about the wine.
The aesthetic of the outside and the inside was beautiful. But I did the wine tasting experience and I feel like all the wine taste the same. They were all dry. I would’ve liked to have at least one sweet wine.
The Red Hook Winery was okay. Don't be fooled by some of the pictures here on Google Maps of the outdoor seating—there are only a handful of tables available outside (which are reservation only), and the view is just okay. You're not getting a sprawling view of the water and the Statue of Liberty like some of the pictures make it seem. It was insanely crowded on a hot summer day, which made it almost impossible to get a seat anywhere, which led to a lot of people awkwardly standing around in the middle of the winery with nowhere else to stand. I'm no wine expert, but I generally enjoyed the couple of pours I had.
Okay wine, but the service was a bit weird. Even the parking guy was not gracious. After we had a wine tasting we wanted to go over next door to have Key Lime pie but the guy said we’d get towed if we didn’t take our car the block over with us. It was an empty lot on h Fourth of July weekend.
