Great experience overall! Compared to their Bay Ridge location, this spot was quite busy, which is totally expected for Manhattan. Despite the crowd, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a cozy interior that made the dining experience even more enjoyable. The staff was friendly and attentive. The service was surprisingly quick considering the number of guests, and the food was absolutely delicious – authentic Georgian flavors at their best! Everything, especially fresh khachapuri, was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. It’s definitely a place I’d recommend to anyone looking for quality Georgian cuisine in a lively and pleasant setting. I’ll definitely be back!
Had the bread cheese bowl. Really good 👍. Service and ambiance is top notch!
Niko made this fabulous drink, best twist on an espresso martini I’ve had. Service was amazing!!
We came around 8pm on a Friday and even though we had a reservation, there were a few empty tables, so you might be able to walk in without a reservation. I love Eastern European food and this Georgian restaurant didn’t disappoint! They had a lot of authentic dishes and everything we ordered was delicious. We ate outside and liked the overall vibe of the place!
Authentic Georgian cuisine. I had a wonderful time with my friends. Highly recommend ✅
Had an exceptional time here. Our server was running the show and did it seamlessly. Recommended dishes well along with wine pairings. Made our night. The food was incredible and the best pkhali trio I could ask for. Thank you!
This food here was delicious. I’ve never tried Georgian food before and this place did not disappoint. I found it to be kind of similar to the Middle East food I love. The waitstaff was friendly and charming and helped me decide how to venture into Georgian cuisine. Also big thank you to the manager, he helped me find a receipt from 1 gazillion weeks ago to help me out!
Try this a restaurant!! It was a unique experience. The spinach pie was fantastic as was the cheese bread with the fresh egg. Service was professional and attentive. Be sure to order some of the dumplings. We had lamb with tarragon. Everyone loved them
A truly wonderful place where every flavor tells a story. The grandma’s green tomato salad was nostalgic and full of soul, the beef stew rich, tender, and deeply flavorful, the khachapuri ,just like the one we loved as kids, and the desserts were pure art. Everything felt made with love and passion. Definitely a place I’ll come back to 💖👌🏼
Absolutely delicious. We had a refreshing and fragrant salad, and a hearty hachpuri, alongside a glass of chilled amber wine. The description of the salad sounded quite simple (cucumber and tomato dressed in walnut paste and Georgian spices), but was actually so flavorful and crisp! The hachpuri had beans and cheese in it, definitely not a combo I would have put together, but we trusted the waitress’ recommendation and we’re not disappointed - it had a smoky umami quality, very satisfying. The wine was excellent - quite dry, perfect with the meal. Atmosphere was relaxed and calm, service was friendly and kind. Would absolutely recommend it.
We had a lovely dinner here as the rainstorm raged on outside. The Adjarian Khacapuri is delicious, with a fluffy yet crispy bread and a rich egg and cheese mixture on it. The lamb and tarragon Khinkali was also really tasty, the soup that is trapped inside the dumpling is nourishing and warm. Get a glass of pomegranate wine to complete your meal here.
Ubani is FANTASTIC. This tiny restaurant more than makes up for its size with incredible authentic Georgian food. Favorites of mine include the cheezy bread appetizer, the slow cooked beef over mashed potatoes with cranberries, sparkling Georgian lemonade, and honey cake. While I cannot pronounce most of the menu items, I can confidently say everything I’ve had here is excellent. I recommend making a reservation due to the limited seating that fills up quickly. One thing to note is that the service is definitely slower than you might expect from a NYC restaurant, but the servers were polite and responsive to being waved over whenever I needed anything.
You cannot go wrong with Georgian food. Really good mashed potatoes that actually tasted like real potatoes, not instant ones. The beef was tender and the portion was good Good amount of ribs, simple but reliable! Eggplants took the cake, excellent choice as an appetizer, and their bread was a standout! Attentive service, fast and friendly.
My friend and I wanted to try something new, and this Georgian restaurant didn’t disappoint. The staff was really friendly, and the food was delicious. The Adjaruli khachapuri (the boat bread with cheese, butter, and an egg yolk in the center) came out warm and cheesy. You’re supposed to mix it all together and hand-tear off pieces of the crust to dip. It’s rich, comforting, and best enjoyed while it’s still warm before the flavors change. I also had the shrimp with garlic sauce, which I also highly recommend.
Great delicious food. The Khachapuri was as good as expected. The Pavlova was amazing (more fruits would make it even better). The environment feels very chic, but staff was friendly and made me and my friend comfortable on top of giving us some nice suggestions. Definitely a must visit.
Everything was good and most importantly we were soooo grateful that they allow dogos in 🐶 The beat salad was my favourite, it was absolutely yummy! The appetizers platter is also great but maybe a bit expensive, and not all of them were delicious, but you can never know without trying! So I was very happy with having this option. I think their khachapuri was better than Chama Mama’s, but Chama Mama’s dips and sides were better. The staff is warm and friendly and we had a lovely time
I went to try this restaurant since it’s often called the best Georgian spot in Manhattan. Honestly? The khinkali were fantastic, and the khachapuri hit the spot—but the kupaty were a bit dry, and one of the waitresses seemed less than welcoming. Cocktails were just okay. Overall, it was good, but I wouldn’t say I’m blown away.
I had a very nice dining experience here. Came here after an off Broadway show. 🦋 romantic restaurant. Intimate. Great atmosphere and ambience. Loved how they decorated the window. 🦋I love Georgian food, so definitely wanted to try this place. (My grandma is from there, so I know home cooked Georgian food) 🦋 great menu, many options to choose from (from food and drinks) 🦋 tried the homemade lemonade strawberry flavored -it was refreshing 🦋 definitely get the traditional adjeli khachapoori (Georgian cheese boat) great presentation. It was very good! 🦋 the cauliflower dish was good as well. Packed with so much flavor. But still missing something, near the end it gets a bit overwhelming. 🦋 price is on the higher end compared to other Georgian restaurants 🦋 staff were attentive and courteous. Overall recommend
