Driven by this place dozens of times & have no clue why I haven’t stopped in. Our daughter & her friends recommended it. 10/10 would recommend! It was DELIGHTFUL! Started with a lavender margarita & fried artichoke. For the main, I got the pork chop served over peaches & cabbage. (I haven’t stopped thinking about that chop since … 😋) My sister got the sea bass, also scrumptious. We ended the meal splitting a chocolate torte. Can’t wait to come back & dive a little deeper into the menu.

Artichoke Cafe is one of Albuquerque’s finest restaurants. The food is fresh and artfully presented. The ambience is warm and cozy and the staff is friendly and unpretentious. It’s a lively place, but the noise level doesn’t suppress conversation. Excellent cocktails, adequate wine list

We made reservations. We were seated quickly. The place was completely booked. Our server was lovely. Answered all our menu questions. Dinner didn't take as long as I expected, with the crowd. Pleasant surprised. The food was fabulous!

We were passing through town. Stopped for dinner. Great service. They had a parking lot so parking was easy. Didn't have a reservation and we were seated at the bar without any wait. Noemi served us. She was great help, had good recommendations and was still able to keep up with all her orders. I highly recommend eating here. Atmosphere is good. I would come again.

The peppercorn tenderloin was to die for. Along with the service. The steak was so tender and delicious. I also had oysters which with the sauce they make inhouse was amazing. Service was second to none. Great experience. Definitely recommend!

The Artichoke Café has the formula. A highly desirable venue for creative, fresh, trendy food selections worthy of a James Beard nomination. The service is friendly, knowledgeable and dedicated to making your experience a pleasant one. This very clean restaurant has a Las Vegas vibe providing “just the right” level of volume to of music to allow for good conversation. The highly skilled bartender will expertly provide you with original house -inspired cocktials. A great choice for a dating couple or visiting with a number of friends. The entrees are pace-setting, service is happily provided, pricing is reasonable, all the checkboxes are checked…a real gem of a find !

The Managers were an absolute delight and helped me organize my wedding reception in one of their private rooms. They were very patient and executed every small request to the T. My husband and I are very grateful for the entire staff friendliness and hospitality. The food and drinks were super delicious and the prices are very fair as well. Highly recommend this establishment.

What a gem of a find! My husband and I are in ABQ for a conference and happened upon this restaurant, it was so delightful the first time we went back again! First night we did happy hour with light bites at the bar and then transitioned to a table for dinner. Impeccable service, delicious food and drinks (standouts were (of course) the fried artichoke appetizer and the beef tenderloin). Second visit was our anniversary, another delicious meal and drinks (stand outs were the arancini appetizer and the beef cheek main course). The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and they were sweet enough to gift us a delicious champagne toast! We’re so glad we found The Artichoke Cafe, a relaxed vibe but with serious food/wine/bar chops!!

One of my favorite restaurants! The ambiance is always uniquely beautiful! This was my third time coming here. My wife and I stopped in for the French onion soup but we ended up staying the whole four course. Our server was excellent! I believe her name is Noami. I have had her service the past two times and she remembers every special dish and drink so perfectly and is a beautiful energy of a person. We started with some fun peach and hibiscus mocktails, then had bread, caesar salad, and French onion soup. For our entrees we had the Double Cut Pork Chop and the Mussels Fra Diavolo which were delicious! I’ll also post photos of previous dishes we had. If you want a special night I’d highly recommend this restaurant.

Overall a very good experience. Had dinner at 730 on a Thursday—restaurant was full but we were seated right away and the crowd could have been due to it being the day after Valentine’s Day. Service was good. I started with the house martini which was a nice twist on a normal martini and was very smooth. We started with the salmon mousse which was good but not great as the taste was a bit bland. We then went for pasta—my wife had the rigatoni and I had the ravioli. The rigatoni was excellent. The ravioli’s themselves I had were excellent but I found the sauce to be a bit thin. Overall a very nice evening and we would go back.

The owner greeted us at the door and was friendly and welcoming. He made sure to check in with us at the end as well, since this was our first time eating here. The food was delectable and the ambiance is lovely. The service was amazing! We will definitely be back.

My friends and I went to Artichoke Cafe for dinner. We did not make the reservation because we were a small group of 3 people. We were seated right away at the bar section of the restaurant, which I didn't see it before. It was perfect little booth (hint for those who want to take your date to). For some reasons, this section felt warm so we took off our jackets. We started with, A-hem, steamed artichoke :) it came with three different dipping sauces: tomato-based sauce, garlic-cream, and melted butter. The creamy garlic sauce was the winner for me. The melted butter was surprisingly good as well. It had caught me off guard because I was not really a big fan of dipping anything in butter I ordered the lamb chops with mashed sweet potatoes. It was very delicious! Perfectly cooked to my preferred temperature! The meat was tender and the sweet potato was tasty! They were made in heaven for sure. This is a little gem that I am sure I will visit again with my future date :)

We returned to Artichoke Cafe after a 20-year absence and fond memories. Our order: Swiss Chard Shells, Green Chili Cheeseburger, Homemade Bread & Butter, Coke. Cost with tip: $46.00. KUDOs: Flavorful Swiss Chard Shells; looks small (5 stuffed shells) but very filling. Much more meat than bun on the cheeseburger. Green chili lends a new, interesting and enjoyable taste to the cheeseburger and slaw. Bread & Butter (sorry, no photo. Ate it too quickly.) Parking lot. Clean, well-lit. Server Demitria: helpful, attentive. CHALLENGEs. Would have liked to see more artichoke offerings on the menu.

We had a delicious dinner. We began with the artichoke starter, it was amazing! Then the chicken on wine, hard to eat, but grew flavors. We also ate the clams which were very flavorful, and finished with a chocolate tarte with pomegranate that felt decadent and creamy. We loved the service. The place was loud. The bathrooms are clean.

Good food. Pricey. Wait staff very nice/attentive. Male manager did not acknowledge nor approach our table. Watched him mingle with other guests. Metered parking only

Overall, a very good experience! The bread is made in the house and very tasty but I’d like to see it served warm. The beet salad was OK, but to me it could use a little pop, like balsamic vinegar or blue cheese; it was too bland to enjoy. But the shrimp and grits and pasta were excellent and the sautéed and oven-baked mushrooms were possibly the best I’ve ever had in my life; seasoned to perfection! I’d definitely go back for more!

Excellent service good parking clean bathrooms good wine selection - but the chicken is likely to be dry. Go for the fish or beef. I know better but got the chicken… the first piece was perfect the second was dry. And they charged me for extra sauce (just a dollar but that’s lame).

Unfortunately I didn’t have a great experience here. Maybe there are some good options on their incredibly limited lunch menu but the Caesar salad I ordered was disappointing. It was overdressed, made with wilted brown lettuce, and oddly included red cabbage. The fries were also a letdown. They were extremely salty and greasy so I sent them back. The replacement fries came out after the bill was already paid so they were boxed to go, but I ended up throwing them away because they were just as oily and unappetizing without the salt. Overall not worth it for me.

We recently dined at Artichoke Cafe for their set menu dinner for two. With one cocktail each, the total came to over $300, including mandatory gratuity. The standout part of the evening was definitely the service. The staff were extremely attentive, professional, and consistently present without being intrusive. They truly made us feel taken care of, and that level of hospitality did not go unnoticed. They did an excellent job. Unfortunately, the food did not meet the same standard — especially at this price point. While the tenderloin was very well executed and genuinely impressive, other dishes fell short. The salad as well as the shrimp appetizer were particularly underwhelming and lacked the flavor and refinement we expected from a $300 dinner. Overall, it’s a pleasant space with outstanding service, but the overall dining experience did not justify the cost. Given the value for money, we are unlikely to return.

This is a cute, cozy spot with an inviting and classy interior. Our first impression upon walking in was very positive. We arrived during happy hour and were looking forward to enjoying a celebratory drink or two. The restaurant was calm and not very busy at the time, though there appeared to be only one server working. We were seated promptly, but waited about 10+ minutes before the server came to take our drink order. After that, it took an additional 30+ minutes for our food to arrive (which I found to be long due to how dead it was). During this time, there was no communication or urgency from our server. Unfortunately, the food did not meet expectations. My guests burger and fries arrived cold, with the fries extra crispy. The Caesar salad was quite nice with the anchovy dressing, but the calamari was undercooked in parts. We spent nearly $70 for two entrées and two drinks during happy hour. For the price point and overall experience, we were disappointed and likely will not return, primarily due to the level of service and feeling somewhat overlooked by the staff.
