El Buen Sabor

I had a coupon printed on the back of a Safeway( foothill) receipt for el buen sabor. I never heard of it and was curious to try so I brought my niece with me for lunch. I ordered a nacho with both ground beef and asada as suggested by another review and my niece had an al pastor regular burrito. We dined at the restaurant to have The nachos as fresh as possible. The nachos were excellent, they were loaded with beef topping and came with cheese, guacamole and pico de gallo (ordered on the side). I would also suggest order it with some jalapeno on the side as well next time. My niece enjoyed her burrito. Good Mexican mom and pop spot and I look forward to trying something else on their menu next time, but it will be difficult to order something else besides the nachos since they were pretty good 👍.

I was craving a good plate and found exactly what I was looking for at this place. The service was friendly and welcoming, and I liked the openness of the restaurant. It has a nice atmosphere I think, right on mission. The plate was huge and fairly priced. I liked the chips and salsa that were served and the al pastor here is perfectly marinated. The horchota is really sweet, almost tasted like cereal milk lol which in this situation was very refreshing. Overall worth a try! Loved it.

Super burrito with steak. Great tasting, what really stands out was the pico de gallo. It had great heat,but not so hot that I would be screaming. I did not rate the atmosphere because we did take out.

Stopped as i was passing through hayward and was very happy with the quality, taste, and price. I got the super taco and two soft tacos and they were all loaded up!! Would i come back here? Hell ya!

New Mexican spot in Hayward, arguably the best home style Mexican in the area. Generous portions, al pastor, carnitas and carne asada were all fantastic.

We usually order through food delivery services, but since we were passing through we stopped in. When I walked in I knew why the food was so delicious. I guess you could call it a hole in the wall type of restaurant. You can see the cooks actually cooking and preparing the food. I even saw fresh whole fruit (lemon/limes). Some ladies were cutting up the vegetables. It was great! The staff was very welcoming and polite. They gave us chips and salsa while we waited there. Anyway, the food is delicious! Our go to is the super quesadilla. It's a great start when this is your first visit. So fresh and delicious tasting. I ordered a side of beans, rice, and chicken for my toddler, and they served it in like a taco bowl type of deal. We loved that. It made it so easy for our son to eat with his spoon. This is our go to Mexican food spot when we come to Hayward. Love it!

Any ways other than that I have been going in and out of this place since I found it. My husband also loves this. Up till now everything they make is delicious! And with a great price.

I ordered a shrimp burrito from them through Doordash and I am pretty sure what arrived is my HR best burrito I have had in 2024! The burrito has lots of shrimp, excellent refried beans and a generous helping of avocado. Next time I plan to drop into the restaurant in person to try more of their menu!

Even though my target was either wet burrito or nachos or tacos, I went for Steak burrito as first try. The order was Togo. The complimentary of chip and salsa is appreciated. The customer services is a plus from greeting and accommodating your tiny request. The sauces both green and red are perfect!! I shall come back for more tries.

As an avid "traditional" Taqueria connoisseur, I always judge them by a standard, the "Super burrito with Al Pastor". My wife's standard is a trio of three meat tacos, and recently we've been getting sides of rice and beans for our baby girl. On our first visit, everything was delicious and the Pastor had a nice juicy and flavorful seasoning with what seemed the traditional preparation with Pineapple to help tenderise and flavor the pork, the guacamole and salsas were delicious as well, and my wife enjoyed her tacos, and baby ate all of the black beans and rice! We have since returned for two more visits and noticed a little less consistent flavor profile on the Pastor. The service is very friendly, and attentive and we felt very welcomed, it's a definite go to in the Hayward and East Bay area.
