We stopped on our day trip to Alguer for lunch at la Botteghina. First we went to the terrace on top, but we asked to go down since it was a hot day and we have a 3 year old child. We ordered Fregula and the pork dish, and both of them were fantastic! Soooo tasty & good, it was a nice suprise! Service was very helpful, they got us a child seat and were always attentive. I would definitive reccomend La Botteghina, and surerly will come back if I am in Alguer again!

Really enjoyed our meals here, found the restaurant walking by and admiring the beautiful decor, came back the following evening, we were lucky with timing and had no wait time, the staff were all very polite and attentive, the food service was very fast and all the food was piping hot and fresh!

Absolutely delicious and authentic restaurant! We ordered fregola and mussels and they were so flavourful and perfectly cooked. The staffs were very friendly and even the owners Giuseppe and Ryan were very welcoming. We were lucky to get a table on the rooftop terrace, which had such a warm and cozy atmosphere. The indoor seating was also very beautiful and lots of tables outside. This place is a hidden gem in Alghero. Highly recommend!

This restaurant was the highlight of our short visit to Alghero. The 50cm pizza is their signature dish and truly amazing. We’ve enjoyed a pizza from the famous chef Franco Pepe two days ago and the pizza at La Botteghina was quite on the same level. The atmosphere is traditional and their homemade Tiramisu is the best we’ve had during our trip. Price-quality is great as well, I would really recommend going here and it will not disappoint.

We came here having read the reviews online and seen it on TikTok… and it did not disappoint. It was genuinely the best pasta we’ve had in Italy. Flavoursome, well balanced and totally fresh. We had the ricotta ravioli and the mint and tomato pasta. The portion sizes were perfect. We had the Seada for dessert, shared between 2 and it was a lovely traditional sweet treat. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the terrace is cool with lovely foliage. We would definitely come back, mainly to try the pizza which looks so good - thin and crispy with fresh toppings, not too many choices… always a good thing! The kitchen is open on the ground floor which we also always love.

Spent 4 full days in Alghero. Out of the 4 até there 3 times. We are at several other places for lunch but dinner we kept going back here. The food is awesome. Most servers were pacient and answered our questions in the best of their capacity. There was 1 server, this shirt young guy who was rude and inpatient. But we didn’t let that kill our time there. I super recommend it. Love the roof top. Nice and breezy.

First night in Alghero and taken a walk around the streets looking for a restaurant to visit, I found this place busy but still with some tables. They have tables on the beautiful street as well as inside, we got a table on the terrace which was perfect with it being so warm. We can hear the hustle of people around while getting a general breeze. The main course was amazing, I had the pork (see photo) the waiter said it's slowed cooked for hours in the oven and you can tell it was so succulent. Space between tables was good with Covid still going on. Tiramisu is my favourite and I had to go for that as everything else was authentic, what a great first experience eating out in this beautiful place. Highly recommended visiting.

Tasty food on a lovely terrace. Wait staff doing their best, food is served too fast, it would be nice to at least have time to drink some wine before the stater. Adding a birthday candle on a dessert was a lovely touch!

While discovering the old town we pass by this chic restaurant that catch our attention with a simple and traditional menu and we decided to give it a try. We went to the small private rooftop terrace where from ordering to serving the service was the exceptional. The dishes were delicious, fair size, quality fresh pasta and decent prices. Totally recommended to walk few more streets away from tourist-trap restaurants and give this one a chance to impress.

Delicious pizza. A lot of choince so everyone can find somthing for themselfs. Very nice atmosphere and tables on the roof on an old building. Service quick and kind.

Cucina eccellente, prodotti freschi, porzioni corrette, ambiente curato e personale gentile e sorridente. Non abbiamo dato più di 4 su 5 perché il pane non era compreso, ed è una cosa che non deve mai mancare come proposta per rendere una tavola piacevole, anche se una porzione piccola. Ritorneremo sicuramente

Abbiamo cenato per due volte in questo locale. Fregula buona, condita con una buona varietà di crostacei. Tonno alla griglia (lo abbiamo chiesto ben cotto, ma arrivato con cottura media...) abbastanza buono. Filetto al cannonau con patate, buono. Servizio piuttosto lento (abbiamo atteso più di un'ora dall'ordine e solo mentre la sala si stava svuotando (ore 21.45) sono arrivati i piatti. Esperienza comunque positiva. Da provare!

Piccolo ristorantino nel centro storico di Alghero. Piacevole la location in terrazza, disponibili ad un fuori menu per una persona celiaca. Cibo buono. Prezzi normali.

In pieno centro storico , abbiamo avuto qualche difficoltà a trovare parcheggio e comunque è a pagamento, abbiamo pagato 5,50. Locale caratteristico, con specialità locali. Abbiamo mangiato il purceddu, spero di averlo scritto bene, molto buono, anche la seada molto buona. I camerieri molto gentili, servizio veloce. I posti a sedere sono un po' stretti e sono al piano superiore con vetrata a vista sul centro. Prezzi in linea con il luogo e la qualità. Vi consiglio di prenotare prima perché é un locale molto frequentato.

Premessa: non sono stato in terrazza quindi il voto sull'ambiente potrebbe essere un po' falsato. Il cibo è di qualità il porceddu buonissimo si scioglie in bocca e divisibile per due persone, un po' overprezzato ma se si includono le patate nel computo del piatto può essere giusto. Gli antipasti invece, per quanto buoni, sono un po' striminziti rispetto al prezzo a cui vengono offerti. Prezzo dei vini al calice alto. Servizio buono, un po' movimentato ma disponibile. (Piccolo complimento alla ragazza che ci ha consigliato un vermentino 64 eccezionale che è diventato una droga per il resto della vacanza) Tutto sommato un buon posto, forse più specializzato e improntato a pizzeria che a ristorante tipico, ma la qualità del cibo è eccellente.

We have visited this place a few times, and each experience has been great. We ordered the mussels as a starter, and they were good. For the main course, we had two pasta dishes, followed by two desserts. The staff is very friendly. Although the service was slower than typical European standards, we understood that they were busy and it was clear that the open kitchen was a bit behind. I highly recommend this restaurant for a solid meal! :)

Atmosphere and quality of food is amazing. One of the few places which had food that met my expectations. The staff are friendly and accommodating. They served us food even if we came in 30 mins before closing time. Other places shot us down prior to finding this great place. Ambiance is also good as they have a rooftop place with decent ventilation. Not a fan of sit down fees but for this place it’s acceptable. Shoutout to the calamari. It’s really good!

We were fortunate enough to stumble upon this charming restaurant unexpectedly, and our excitement was boundless when we laid eyes on the diverse array of dishes presented on the menu. The owner warmly welcomed us and graciously assisted us in choosing the most delightful selections to indulge in. We were pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices and captivated by the remarkably fresh and flavorsome cuisine. Nestled in the heart of the vibrant city center, the restaurant offered a few outdoor seating options, which allowed us to relish the delightful summer weather to the fullest. The entire experience exuded a cozy and inviting atmosphere, and the flavors of the food were simply irresistible. Departing from the restaurant, we were filled with contentment and satisfaction, immensely grateful to have chanced upon this hidden gem that made our day exceptionally memorable.

The dining experience at this restaurant was a delightful one. The food, while delicious and enjoyable, wasn't the absolute best I've ever had. I'd be inclined to rate it a 4.5 if half ratings were an option. A special shoutout is due for the dessert, which was simply amazing and stole the show. The staff was attentive and prompt; a glance in their direction would have them at your table in no time. However, their choice of attire was a tad surprising. While I don't expect them to be in suits, seeing them in tracksuits felt a bit casual for the setting. A pair of jeans and a plain-colored t-shirt would seem more fitting. Would recommend for those in search of good food and prompt service, but be prepared for a slightly casual dress code.

While looking for a spot to eat dinner this was one of the few places with availability. Overall a good decision. The grilled vegetables were not great, unevenly warmed, no flavor and seemed to have been sitting. The two pasta dishes were good and so was the wine. Service was inconsistent but generally good. I would go back to try the pizzas as they looked great.

Tagliere misto buono ma con soli tre pezzi di formaggio a dispetto di salumi abbondanti. Non il massimo la politica di obbligarti a prendere praticamente 2 pizze se si è in 2 e uno dei due vorrebbe mangiare altro (un primo o un secondo). Prezzi presenti sul sito non corrispondenti a quelli presenti sul menu ma maggiorati di un paio di euro. Personale accogliente. Carina la terrazza esterna su cui mangiare presente al piano superiore.

I piatti ordinati erano buoni e il servizio rapido. Per contro, non ho apprezzato l'attesa nonostante avessi prenotato, ho trovato la carta dei vini un po' cara senza l'opportunità di una scelta alternativa su un vino della casa e non ho trovato corretto il pagamento del coperto (con pane a parte), per aver mangiato su tavolini senza nemmeno un tovagliato di carta

Abbiamo pranzato in questo ristorante qualche giorno fa. Esperienza in generale positiva, peccato per il servizio poco curato. Per me la cosa peggiore è stato scoprire al momento del conto che il pane portato a tavola a inizio pasto, ovviamente senza averlo espressamente chiesto come in ogni ristorante in italia, risulta fuori dal classico coperto e ha un costo a parte. Già i prezzi sono elevati di loro, questa scelta a mio avviso risulta davvero di cattivo gusto.

2 stelle, di cui una di incoraggiamento. Prenotiamo il tavolo alle 9:30, arriviamo: “siamo in ritardo, c’è da aspettare il vostro tavolo non è ancora libero” ora io non faccio ristorazione però se hai 2 turni piuttosto dammi come prima disponibilità le 10 se hai gente seduta prima…Morale: 30 minuti di attesa in piedi fuori a girare. Boh! Sarò puntiglioso io, ma volevo andare a cena, non vagare per una via ininterrottamente manco stessi cercando la Terra Promessa. Niente, mi sale Mosè e vago per le vie del centro, provo a separare le acque di un paio di pozzanghere ma niente, avvilito torno all’ entrata. Passa mezz’ora, finalmente il tavolo è pronto. Sono le 10 ormai. Dirigendomi all’entrata noto, sulla destra, un tavolino con adagiata una pizza al metro, su uno stand, lì buttata. Io la guardo, lei mi guarda, ci fissiamo… poi realizzo: è da esposizione. Ma è una pizza cucinata! Lasciata lì a prendere aria, forse con l’idea di far ingolosire i passanti? Forse arte contemporanea (e lì alzo le mani, perché di arte non ci capisco molto). Però perché? Non è neanche esteticamente appetitosa… Un piatto prima si mangia con gli occhi, si dice, ma ai miei occhi non è venuta fame, solo da piangere: non solo per lo spreco inutile di cibo, ma anche per la scena surreale di vedere del cibo abbandonato su uno stand contro il muro. Supero questo dolore esistenziale e si sale in un carinissimo terrazzo. Ordiniamo 2 pizze (da dividere, visto che sono al metro) e delle birre. Arrivano le pizze… le birre si perdono nell’etere, nell’oblio. “Perdonami, ma le birre?” “Scusa, ci siamo dimenticati.” Ma di cosa? Ma in che senso! Abbiamo ordinato 2 cose… non era una domanda complessa: se avessi chiesto la 95ª cifra del Pi greco dopo la virgola ti darei anche ragione! Ma proprio mentre penso a quante cifre sono state contate fino ad oggi del Pi greco (tanto aspetto le birre) inizio a sentire qualcosa, una freschezza provenire dalla mia sedia, una sensazione piacevole… ma perché? Che succede? Mi alzo, ho i pantaloni fradici: le sedie in vimini conservavano amorevolmente l’acqua del temporale pomeridiano. Alcune coperte da pellicola trasparente(credo quella da cucina). La mia no. Arrivano le birre, con dei bicchieri da vino bianco… Ora, la birra è birra e i bicchieri sono bicchieri, si può assolutamente bere, ma se volevo un Sauvignon non me lo ordinavo. Che faccio? La degusto? La ossigeno? “Sì ok va bene, non sa di tappo, lascia la bottiglia!” Ma va bene lo stesso, c’è la pizza, la stessa che mi fissava all’ingresso. Questa sembra meglio però. E voi direte: “Ma dopo tutta la pantomima, almeno era buona?” Il mio kebabbaro di fiducia in Mac Mahon è Cracco in confronto a far le pizze, senza offesa per Omar che forse non sarà Cracco, ma di certo non lascia 4 kebab in vetrina per “ingolosire” i clienti. Comunque arriviamo ai caffè e agli amari. “Ok, facciamo 1 caffè e 2 mirti.” “Ok perfetto.” “Aspetta, mi fai anche un Montenegro?” “Eh, quello non lo abbiamo.” Ma in che senso non lo avete? Non ti ho chiesto un Sassicaia del ’98! Ma come non hai il Montenegro? “Ok va bene, allora solo 2 mirti e il caffè.” Passano 3 minuti: “A voi 2 mirti e 2 caffè.” Sipario e applausi! PS: le birre artigianali buonissime, ma 2 birre non fanno un ristorante…

PRO: il posto è molto carino CONTRO: purtroppo è un ristorante acchiappa-turista e ci siamo cascati Di solito metto una stella in più di quella che il posto merita o, se devo dare un voto basso, non lascio proprio la recensione però stavolta ci sono state varie cose che non mi sono per niente piaciute e quindi eccoci qui. 1) quando abbiamo ordinato ho chiesto se ci fosse un vino della casa, il cameriere non si è spiegato bene e mi ha fatto intendere che ordinare il vino della casa equivaleva a prendere una bottiglia di cannonau quindi ho preso un'altra bottiglia. Solo alla fine, a causa del fatto che hanno dovuto correggere un errore sul conto, mi sono reso conto che in realtà il vino della casa c'era e costava molto meno di una bottiglia; 2) ho chiesto informazioni su come fosse il vino da me ordinato, la descrizione che mi è stata fatta è stata COMPLETAMENTE differente dalla realtà. Capisco che non fossero sommelier però un vino con note amare e aromatiche mi è stato descritto come fruttato e secco, bastava leggere la descrizione. Ad una persona il vino non è piaciuto, a saperlo prima avremmo preso un'altra bottiglia. Non mi piace essere preso in giro, preferisco mi si dica di aspettare mentre il cameriere va ad informarsi; 3) la pasta ripiena era fredda al proprio interno, il ripieno è quindi risultato molto grumoso. Penso sia un errore tecnico grave in un ristorante. Inoltre la dose era piccola se paragonata al prezzo; 4) il porcettu era cotto bene ma poco aromatizzato e onestamente 25€ per 3 pezzettini più delle patate che sono quasi certo fossero di quelle congelate è eccessivo<-- sulle patate posso sbagliarmi ma non credo Nel complesso abbiamo pagato circa 45€/testa e non abbiamo preso pesce. Troppo!

Trovato per caso: ci ispirava la terrazza e pranzare all'aperto rispetto alle "distese" su strada. Intimo, accogliente e ben ventilato. Avevamo problemi di tempo e auto in ztl, per cui abbiamo scelto solo un piatto a testa: la fregula e una tartare di tonno. In Sardegna, risaputo, non bisogna avere fretta ma l'attesa è stata superiore alle previsioni. Fregula ben presentata e anche buona. Tartare di tonno discreta presentata su piatto d'ardesia: peccato non fosse accompagnata da verdure, avrebbe di certo reso più interessante la cromaticita" ed il gusto, considerando che non è stato servito il cestino del pane, pur avendo pagato il "coperto". Carinissimi i camerieri. Un locale "da turisti", non torneremo.

Il signore all’entrata gentilissimo facendoci accomodare subito. Il tavolo sporco e bagnato dai commensali precedenti, senza nemmeno un segnaposto o una tovaglietta.molto brutto. Al contrario il cameriere che prendeva le comande, sembrava quasi che gli stessimo facendo un favore. Non ci ha consigliato nulla, nonostante chiesi cosa fosse il colourgiones e mi risponde in maniera secca: un tipo di ravioli. Il mio amico fianco mi ha dovuto spiegare cosa fosse nel dettaglio, e lui non si è minimamente preoccupato di darci una spiegazione. La fregola piena di cozze e vongole che fanno volume e la quantità di pasta molto povera. Pessima esperienza, non consiglio a nessuno questo posto. Non si possono trattare così dei clienti che ti fanno un tavolo da più di 200€
