Great place for fish tacos and aguas frescas. Pricey but check for day of the week specials. Good chunky size tacos. Ask for no cream if you can't eat it or don't like it. I always ask for an order of fries as well. :)

OMG! First time visiting Baja Cali in Alhambra & the service was awesome. Didn't really know what I wanted & the cashier help me to decide. When I tell you this was the best shrimp quesadilla & fish taco I have had in a very long time. I will definitely be visiting here more often. I highly recommend Baja Cali to everyone. If you haven't never tried it, I say try it. You will not be disappointed it.

Right in the heart of downtown Alhambra is this amazing small chain eatery that has the best fish tacos! They taste even better on Taco Tuesday when they're only a buck. Even at regular price, they are well worth it.

Dollar fish tacos on Tuesdays! Yes YUMMY, please. They also accept phone orders. Also, do get the pineapple juice - it’s so good it’ll make you happy. Their cucumber drink looks very refreshing, too.

Myself and my coworker came here for the Wednesday special of $2 shrimp tacos and it was well worth it, the condiments they offer are unlimited and taste great. We'll be coming back soon.

Al pastor tacos are good. The ceviche is on point and the caldo's are well prepared too. Fish tacos are not my thing but everyone I take there loves them. New location is perfect for grabbing a bite before or after the movies.

Shared a burrito that was so yummy it was baja style shrimp asada fries guacamole cabbage just delicious staff cordial place was clean just the table i sat at needed some cleaning bit i didn't mind cleaning it. Highly recommend burrito shared and a 🍺 under 20 dollars

I went with my boyfriend today for lunch for their fish tacos, and while we were eating we noticed that everyone was ordering the Caldo, so we order a caldo mixto to go. when we got home the caldo was literally just carrots and potatoes, we were so disappointed we only had like one little shrimp floating around the sea of carrots and potatoes. But other than we like going back for their fish tacos and tacos de papa

Maybe a four star if it were slightly more expensive, but with great weekly deals, this place is definitely worth your money! The fish is quite good. Note: when they say crab, they mean artificial crab. Don't order the crab here; always go with fish! (Excited to see where the vegan menu goes, too...)

Newly opened Baja Cali Fish & Tacos on Main street. Food is great and fresh. Their fish-shrimp and barbacoa tacos are delicious. Kitchen is visible from the order counter, so you can see how they prepare your food. Prices are relatively affordable. Indoor and outdoor dining area is clean, well lit and well organized. Condiments are clean. Staff are friendly and competent. Service is moderately fast. Restroom area is well kept. Overall, this is a good place to grab a quick bite of tacos and burrito.

Great food great taste. They have nice menu of meats and seafood. Make sure you pay attention to the daily specials. I love the fish tacos and tortas. Be aware that they can get really busy on Tuesday for $1 fish tacos. They also have $1 meat tacos on Thursday. The staff is friendly and food prep time is as expected for stop like this. Located right next to the movie theater on Garfield and Main. You can normally find a spot to park at the Riteaid in the back.

Love the food especially on a hot day. Seafood hits the spot. Their beverages are delicious. Sadly my order missed the yummy chiles.

My sister took me to this place and i must say it sure was delicious, and it surpassed all my expectations. Ill be honest i would have never walked in to this place on my own, outside is not inviting, once inside it has a very generic feel to it, and it's a shame since the food was so flavorful and delicious. We got chicken nachos, birria torta, birria burrito and Baja Cali burrito. And everyone was happy with their order. I know this restaurant is a chain and maybe other locations look better, but this location definitely needs a makeover since the ambient doesn't represent how delicious the food is.

Cali love in action!!! My shrimp taco was bangin--with different layers of flavor profiles from the crema to the slaw to the pickled onions (savory and not sweet) and finally the perfectly battered, crisped and plentiful shrimp. Great spot to grab your fresh seafood, they have a bunch of specials almost everyday. They have agua frescas and delicious Mexican deserts. Expeditious service from their employees Crystal and Pedro. Hands down baja cali seafood tower is top notch, reason why I keep coming back.

I was craving fish tacos and this got my eye. Definitely one of the best fish tacos spots I’ve ever been to. I had their #1 which included three fish tacos, a pepper and I also ordered their “Sopa Casera.” The fish tacos were perfect, crispy, seasoned perfectly and delicious. The soup was good but about average. Overall the lunch was great and I highly recommend their signature fish tacos. I’d definitely come back again and try their other menu items. ***Update*** Had their taco Tuesday special with fish tacos along with 2 shrimp tacos and they were all delicious. I think 5 tacos should have been enough, but I still finished them all. Their lime, chia cucumber drink was phenomenal.

Let's start off with the service here at Baja Cali tacos, Everytime I come here I don't have any problems with the service and in fact it's actually very good especially Christine provide excellent service with a smile on her face goes a long way. Second atmosphere is quite narrow when it's busy hours, most the times it's better to wait on that walk way towards the end. Third the quality of the food is awesome I haven't encounter any situation where I have to ask for a refund, it's cook thoroughly and you can choose what you want and don't want on the tacos. Christine is awesome 👍 this is the only Baja Cali I go to for a taco run and the taco Tuesday and Thursday is what kept me going for 3 years straight. Busy hours finding parking can be a pain I suggest park at the side or Ross parking structure.

First time here…first impression, a small quiet Mexican food restaurant. I ordered the surf n turf bowl, it looked good, it tasted good, what more could you ask for 😊. Also ordered the churro fries, they were good, a little pricey for what you get. Will definitely be back to see how other food items taste. 😊 All in all, this is a good find. 👍🏻

Needed a place to eat before a movie and tried this place for the first time. For some odd reason I got al pastor tacos instead of the fish tacos. I don't know what I was thinking. The al pastor was lacking flavor and freshness. They have different condiments available. Giving it a three till I try the fish tacos next time I come.

Pretty yummy. Tuesday 1.00 fish tacos. Fresh, fast and delicious. It doesn't hurt my pocket. Family of four eats under 20.00. I enjoy the shrimp ceviche and fish tacos.

Pretty solid fast food Mexican seafood. It's not the top I've had in the area, but you can't go wrong coming here. Burritos are very good. Ceviche is above average but not near as good as Dorados (before it went out of business). Haven't tried the sopas or the cocktail, but will do so in my next time around.

Shrimp tacos my favorite! I have been to both locations (Main & Valley) both locations get super crowded. The wait time could be a killer!!! But it's all worth it!

Fresh seafood tostada was very good, it is on the pricey side but the quality of the seafoods are good. It looks small but it is very filling. It is a great place for quick lunch or a light seafood lunch.

Good place for fish taco especially on Tues when they are 99 cent. The Edwards around corner also have discount Tix on Tues. So, that makes Tues is a great movie night. The only downside to this place is it very small, finding a table can be difficult during the lunch and dinner rush. I find their pineapple agua fresca a little to watery.

The fish tacos and the surf & turf tacos were great. The sauces on the side are spicy but tasty also. Would definitely order again. Not too many tables to eat at but there are a couple outside. I do wish the fries weren't as soft but I still like these thick cut ones they have.

Simple, straightforward food. I hD the fish and shrimp tacos and they were pretty good, filled with fried fish and lots of fresh-tadting cabbage and sauce. They were enhanced by the provided pickled onion and superb salsa (both green and red). Not fancy, but good eats!

5 for $5.55 fish tacos on Tuesday. Taco Tuesday ! They were pretty good. Definitely different amounts of cabbage and toppings on each taco. It wasn’t “made with love.” It was like a McDonalds of tacos. Wham bam thank you ma’am. Food was pretty good though. For the price, I’m not expecting a Michelin star restaurant. Just could’ve taken an extra 15 seconds to make sure they all looked good and similar I guess. I’d still go back. Tacos were good. And price isn’t bad. I may just be a picky bishhh sometimes.

Bomb tacos. Wait times are high and they never give u the correct pick up time. Most of the time they don't have good customer service especially when u order at the front. Other then that for food.

Cocktails kinda small for 13 bucks tacos are ok way different than taco nazo I guess I'll keep looking for a good go to shrimp or fish taco spot. And I got fries with my dish taco combo wt. Oh well. Live and learn where not to eat

I've been going to Baja Cali for a long time and have always loved their tacos and especially the chili peppers you get on the side. The peppers would taste fresh, grilled, and have some chili powder on top. Baja Cali changed their peppers, now they bag it, it taste different, and aren't fresh. I hope management can bring back the old peppers.

Ordered a Mar y Tierra burrito (shrimp and asada steak). This burrito is huge!!!!!! Even though i ordered it without rice had to save half for dinner later. 😂. Meat Flavor is ok and shrimp is ok too but only two shrimps inside 😞. This location is too small and it was quiet challenging to be waiting for your food with that heat. Few tables so it’s not recommended for dining in. It’s obvious that they’re short of staff. Orders take longer times to be ready and some tables are not clean as other locations.

Places was dirty, service felt rushed and lady was impolite. Fish Tacos weren't cooked to even be close to crispy.

It's okay best time to go is on Monday or Tuesday before 11 am. It's always busy and half the time they get your order wrong. Then they rush you making u feel like your on their time.

I try to never leave negative comments but... this place came highly recommended.. the IG page makes the food look incredible.. when we got there to.pick up order there were so many people..but we were so Disappointed..fish in the fish tacos was greasy and barely enough to even taste it.. placed our order on the phone with a live person there and when we got home all of our orders were wrong.. food was pricey also to not have enjoyed it.. probably won't go back....

The customer service here is horrible!! That is the number one thing that you would expect from any restaurant and this place failed. My coworker and I walked into this store and literally waited 7 minutes until an employee came to the register. We didn’t get any acknowledgment from the employees walking right by us or no one saying “one minute!” We just got silence. I almost left. The fried fish tacos are still very tasty. My friend said it was not worth getting the shrimp burrito because they mostly filled it with beans and rice and barely any shrimp. Not sure if I will come back. I am very disappointed in how their service is lacking. That makes a huge difference in dining in and choosing where to eat.

They killed my fish taco craving after serving me raw fish tacos. They were kind to give me a new set of tacos but they were also given raw. So I wouldn’t come here again

Got 4 fish tacos. Fish and chips and 2 agua fresca. The fish on the tacos and fish and chips was raw it was pink should have been white. The agaua fresca had no ice in it and not covered. Would not recommend this location.

This place is so cheap on sauce and lemon. Ordered 60 Tacos. They were only willing to give 4 slices of lemon and 2 cup of hot sauce along with a big fat bad attitude. Really bad attitude from the female cashier register. Taco Thursday is special on meat taco. Never ever going here ever again. NEVER. costumer service is not good at all. Worker helping you out has AirPods as shes taking your order. They don’t even greet you when you walk in, and they use they’re phone as they’re helping you out. Workers have a “I don’t care” attitude and can’t even tell you your total and say have a good day. Never coming to this location again.

The meat tacos were good besides the fact we ordered them with only meat and they came with everything on them. We also didn’t get any salsa with our order when we specially ask for it. The horchata was very bland. The second thing that really made me not want to eat her again was the fact they charged us for 3 platters when we only wanted 2. We spent almost 50$ for food we didn’t want and had to use our own salsa. WHO GIVES CHIPS WITHOUT SALSA???? I guess this place does.

Ordered through Postmates and they delivered an entirely different order. After I reached out to Postmates, I called Baja and they told me that they had prepared the wrong order: 2 carne asada tacos, 3 fish tacos, fries. The employee was already confused after I described my order to her and she had mistaken it as an order from Grubhub. She told us they didn’t even start to make our order when it’s already been over an hour. After speaking with her manager, she tells us that they will make it and have it delivered very soon. Spoke with the employees and the manager multiple times, initially they said they will have our order made and delivered from their end as a resolution, asked for our address and it has been an hour and a half since that last phone call. We still haven’t been able to eat our lunch because everyone is waiting for the 16 fish tacos, rice and beans we ordered. Called Baja again and the manager all of a sudden changes her mind telling us that we already got some food (wrong order of 5 tacos- 2 were carne asada.. we don’t eat meat) from them so they cannot deliver it anymore. The manager yelled at us saying that we should complain to our driver and that we should be happy with what we received. The manager was clearly aware that her employee told us that she will have our order delivered, we asked why they would tell us this and make us wait even longer for an order that they never intended on delivering and she replied with “that girl is working now so she can’t deliver this order.” She also told us that order is already made and when we asked if the food was just sitting there, she replied with “actually its not made yet.” .....???? This is absolutely unbelievable and unacceptable, blaming customers for their mistakes, yelling over the phone and wasting hours of our time. We just wanted to have our lunch. I placed an order around 1:30pm today and it is now past 4pm. Definitely not the type of business that deserves any support. Will never be ordering from any Baja locations again, especially the one on Main St. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, RUDE MANAGER, IRRESPONSIBLE STAFF, THIS BUSINESS DOES NOT WANT TO TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THEIR MISTAKES AND FOR WASTING YOUR TIME. It’s a shame that they take advantage of and disregard their customers, especially during this pandemic when many businesses are shutting down.

I came to order dinner for my family. To go. And i order a shrimp burrito for my son. However when i went home. And my son open. His burrito. It was a carne asada burrito. My son was so disappointed. And since the restaurant had allready close. I couldn't take it back to complain or even call. This was At the baja cali on main street in alhambra,CA 91801.

The tacos were like beef jerky. One of the worst tacos I have ever ate. So dry and they try to cover up the dryness with salsa. Didn’t work. Also watch the cook scratch his arm then head 🤢🤮 then put on gloves to make food.

Food is great, but 3 times now I have ordered a combo meal from the Alhambra location, and *each time* they failed to send the drink to me with the order. This is Incredibly frustrating and forces me to give them a measly rating of only 1 star.

Ordered through postmates and did not receive the lime and salsa that I asked for. It says it on the receipt and the manager said "the cashier should have put it in there." A manager placing blame on his crew instead of trying to rectify the situation. Very professional. Not to mention I've been calling since 7:58 PM and they didn't answer the phone until 8:16pm. I had to ask for a meal replacement and he agreed after some attitude. I'm hungry now, and i have to go order something else and wait another hour for delivery.. This place is a joke and will steal your money. They don't care about their customers. I will never go there again.

They have great food but good luck getting your order right if you're ordering takeout. They always forget a part of my order or get an order wrong. To top it off they take forever. Expect to wait 20-30 minutes for your food even if they have full staff. And the person who hands you your order always looks disgruntled, especially if you ask for anything extra or to verify that your order is correct. I really like their food but they've messed up my order so many times that I no longer want to deal with them anymore. I'm done paying for food and not receiving it.

Very weird waited so long for my food. Honestly maybe 25 minutes. There were 2 to 3 people who came after me, but they got their food before me. Unsure if it was because they serve their own people first, but that was really weird. Feels a little racist? The Spanish rice was OLD. I do NOT RECOMMEND..

I found what i wanted, but i was so rushed to order. (Big husky light skin tone man with beard w tattoos. Hair dark hair) hurried me up as i blanked out and couldn't find it or think from my condition. He was a good a worker, but got surious and made it obvious I was taking 'too long' as i was trying to order. I ordered 'whatever' combo was there (17$)...He didnt lend me a drink (he definitely knew) as i walked away as it was SO packed. No where to sit and ate with my hands getting sticky (u have to ask for a restroom )....went back to buy a drink after I finished eating. He gave me cup and said, 'im sorry, my fault' (yes, he knew, because he remembered). Didnt enjoy my food or service because on uncomfortable environment/ unfriendly/rude man...and not welcoming.
