My children and I went on a field trip with our charter school recently and let me tell you, those kids had so much fun! It was so interactive and entertaining. They got to eat with their hands and scream at the top of their lungs cheering. So they had a great time, would recommend to families who had kids who can handle loud noises, darkness at times and RP fighting.
I absolutely loved my visit to Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament! The food was amazing—honestly, I was surprised by how delicious everything was. It was such a hearty, satisfying meal that perfectly matched the theme. The show was absolutely fantastic! I’ve wanted to visit since I was a kid, and after all these years, it was so worth the wait. The actors did an incredible job bringing the medieval atmosphere to life. Their interactions with the audience made it even more fun and immersive—it truly felt like being part of a real tournament from the medieval era. An unforgettable experience from start to finish! ⚔️
Really fun experience! Sorta reminds me of watching wrestling in that the Knights have personality. The food was shockingly tasty. I really loved how Moist the chicken was, the potato had a great flavor. I wanted a fancy drink cup but eisnr want booze and they made me a shirley temple!
Well worth the experience! To witness this in modern times plus having some good dinner! (There’s no utensils by the way, you eat strictly with your hands, wipes are provided) This was our first ever visit and would go back a 2nd time. Suggest you book your tickets in advance and using a coupon code if available at the time from their website. Free parking is on site, lots of cool souvenirs to buy, and yes there is a bar 🍻
This experience was absolutely magical for me and my entire family! It was my very first time visiting this castle and watching the show, and we came to celebrate my sister’s birthday together as a family. We had children with us, aged six and two, and even they were completely amazed. From the very first moment, I felt as if I had traveled back to the Middle Ages. Everything was organized to perfection — the atmosphere, the music, the performances. The actors were incredible and played their roles flawlessly. And the horses… simply breathtaking! So powerful, elegant, and beautiful. Watching them dance, run, and perform with such grace was an unforgettable sight. The real combat scenes gave me goosebumps and made the show even more exciting and authentic. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the entire evening felt truly special. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for such a magical, emotional, and unforgettable night. We will remember this experience forever!
We did a VIP experience . Great seats, performance was spot on. Food was good. Server explained they were shorthanded;however, I feel he did a great job and we tipped him well. The only thing that kind of put us off was the photos. There were supposed to be sent to table, but we ended up at Photo Booth after the show. There was a major shortage there with only one employee there to serve a mob. Ended up having to retake photo as they could not find our original, only for ir to be the one they gave us after the second was taken and disappeared??? We went on my birthday so it was a fun time and everyone looked great in the photo we ended up getting.
We attended on a busy three day weekend and it did NOT disappoint! We had a great view, our green knight was fantastic and got us involved with the show. That young man did a fantastic job as did all of the employees. Our green knight threw me a carnation and I just want him know how special it was. I recently lost my dad, whose horse looked just like green knights horse. He often patted his horse and his over the shoulder smile reminded me of my dad in his younger years. I’d like to thank him for touching my heart and making me feel like I got a hug from heaven from my father. What a wonderful time we all time on my daughters birthday. Thank you again for mending my broken heart
Our group of 45 had an unforgettable night at Medieval Times in Buena Park! From the moment we arrived, the staff treated us like royalty — making sure everyone in our large party was seated together, comfortable, and part of the excitement. Every detail was handled with genuine care and enthusiasm, which made coordinating such a big group completely stress-free. The show itself was absolutely spectacular. The knights, horses, and performers gave it their all — the energy, the choreography, and even the crowd interaction were top-notch. The food was delicious (and fun to eat without utensils!), the drinks were flowing, and the cheering never stopped. You could feel the joy and engagement from every member of our group, from the kids to the adults. We left grinning ear to ear, talking about the black and white knight’s escapades and already planning our next visit. It’s rare to find a place that blends entertainment, hospitality, and a sense of shared adventure so perfectly. Medieval Times Buena Park delivered an experience worthy of its crown — we can’t recommend it enough! 👑⚔️🐎
Time-travel to the Middle Ages and watch knights jousting in person—plus feast on roasted chicken and cheer your heart out! The castle facade will wow you the second you arrive. As soon as the live background music kicks in and you see everyone decked out in medieval costumes, the immersive vibe hits you full force. The 1.5-hour show is jam-packed with thrilling knightly jousts, equestrian stunts, sword fights and falconry displays, with zero dull moments and tons of audience interaction! Seats are color-coded by knight teams, so you can root loud and proud for your assigned knight. The whole crowd gets in on the fun— the atmosphere is electric yet totally unawkward. The venue is a little worn, but honestly, that’s exactly what gives it that retro medieval charm! Their signature four-course, utensil-free meal has stayed the same for years—at least that’s what my friends who’ve been here say! It includes tomato soup, roasted chicken, baked potatoes, corn, garlic bread and dessert, with generous portions that let you dig into the chicken with your bare hands for maximum fun. The chicken is juicy and flavorful most of the time, though it can be a bit dry on rare occasions. Veggie lovers, just let them know in advance—you can swap the chicken for veggie lasagna or bean and vegetable rice with pita bread. And you can always get a doggy bag for leftovers! There’s also a great selection of drinks; grab a cocktail on-site to double the fun. This place is all about the dining experience— the food is solidly above average, and it tastes even better paired with the live show! The staff and performers are super responsive and friendly the entire time. Celebrate your birthday here, and you’ll get a special surprise: the king and queen will announce your name at the start of the show, taking the festive vibes to the next level. Prices: $66–$78 for adults, $41–$48 for kids. 15% off discounts are often available on the official website! Your birthday ticket is free if you come with one paying guest. Don’t forget to leave a $5–$10 tip when you leave. Pro tips: Parking is free. Arrive an hour early to explore the area and catch the pre-show warm-up acts! Stick around after the main performance too— you can take photos and interact with the performers, shop for souvenirs, or say hi to the horses. All in all, this spot is perfect for family outings with kids, birthday parties and theme gatherings. The place is incredibly photogenic, and the overall experience is 10/10!
My family and I have been coming here for years. I have not been since they have redone the story. So this is as of Nov 8th 2025. This was the best show I have ever gone to. We paid for the VIP for my son's birthday and got front row. We had the black and white knight. Dude was Jon snow but the American version. He picked up on our energy (first timers read: Get loud, have fun, cheer non stop) food was amazing! I don't know if it's nostalgia but I could drink a gallon of the soup. Fights were longer and seemed better choreographed. The king and queen were top notch, falcon showing was way longer than in previous years and they really got close! The whole thing was amazing. Also our chancellor dude was like 7' tall and you could tell her wasn't feeling all that well but he put on a great show. (As a fellow tall person it's great to see tall knights) I had so much fun, my family had so much fun, our knight gave my daughter a rose and a sash.. she won't stop talking about it. Just the best time. If you can afford it, please treat yourself. It's absolutely amazing.
I was pleasantly surprised at the event! I read the comments and came to the conclusion that this would be a decent, okay experience with mediocre food, something to do and experience once in a lifetime. However, the event was actually really great! The food was actually better than I thought based on the previous comments. The soup was my favorite, then the whole half of a "baby dragon" (chicken). I would have loved a dipping sauce but I think they didn't have that in medieval times haha When the food came and the mini games started it was really hard to hear and pay attention to everything that was going on. I would say the altogether the voices on the loudspeaker were quite hard to hear and understand.
Definitely a recommend if you are anywhere near the Buena Park area. We drove over 2 1/2 hours just to have a day here. Food is pretty good and you get a decent amount. Staff are always friendly. The dinner show is great with all the horses and fighting. Kids and adults will love it. We had the green knight and he won this day!
The experience was very nice. Somewhat predictable story line but still a lot of fun to participate. The chicken meal was also a lot of fun (silverware available if requested). Book ahead on most nights and arrive early to allow time to get your table assignments as this was a slow process.
Please don't even think about it! Just get your tickets and go, it is a one in a lifetime experience, from the moment you set foot into the building the staff refers to you as either "my lord" or "my lady" absolutely beautiful staff. The show itself is too good to be described, for the whole family, they have horses and the battles are super entertaining. The food is also great and everything for a more than a fair price, you'll spent two amazing hours and not even one second you'll be bored in the building. Thank you.
The tomato bisque was okay, the toast was good, the chicken was amazing, and the desert and coffee was a great end to the lunch. We went for my daughters 7th birthday. You can go up to the celebration kiosk and purchase an experience. She met with the King and Queen and they Knighted her, took a picture, and delivered it to our table during the meal. The King and Queen also announced her name during the show. Not only that, but the green Knight gave her the Queen's favor! The action was great; sparks we're literally flying. The merchandise is good. Expensive, but no more than anywhere else nowadays. You can go look at the horses and falcons before the show, and even take pictures with an owl handler. Lots of different types of alcohol for the grownups, and tasty drink options for the kiddos. I want to go again?
We had a wonderful time! The food was ok, half a baked potato with roasted chicken and a corn on the cob and a piece of garlic bread. I would have liked more drink options and for the corn to not be so over cooked, but otherwise it was a great experience. We went there for a field trip and they had a lesson for the kids on chivalry and kindness which I thought was great since it's not taught enough these days. We had a wonderful time. The horses were beautiful and the service was awesome
It was a really cool experience!! 10/10 would go again. They serve a medieval style dinner(no utensils) as you watch 6 knights compete. There's also some animal show offs. The audience gets to participate when the knights throw flowers, although I didn't get one. Seemed to be a lot of people there for a celebration. You can go up to an hour early for shopping and going to the bar/take pictures etc.
Every time we’re in LA or Anaheim, it’s a must to make the drive to Buena Park for Medieval Times. It’s more than just dinner and a show, it’s a full-blown experience that never fails to deliver. The action packed tournament, the live horses, the jousting, it’s all incredibly well done and keeps you locked in from start to finish. And let’s not forget the iconic roasted chicken dinner, no utensils, just hands-on, delicious food that hits the spot every single time. This place has become one of my favorite stops in all of California. It’s fun, immersive, and consistently entertaining. If you’ve never been, you’re missing out on a true classic.
This is an amazing show and dinner for the price. Worth every penny. They make you feel like royalty "if you pay for" or a peasant if you want to. Food is good quality, even for the vegetarian meal option. I recommend the package upgrade for royalty with the picture, a great memento for the family. The show is well played and with nice acrobatics and fight scenes. The animals are well kept and everything looks clean for being an establishment that has been there for so many years. My server Dulcinea made us feel like nobles and she took pride in her work. Overall a great show for the whole family.
I had such a good time watching the show that I definitely will come back in the future. Everyone we interacted with was friendly. The dinner was simple but delicious especially the tomato soup. The horses was magnificent and the knights amazing to watch. The price of tickets may seem high but if you think about the amount of time and energy it takes to put on a show, the price point is a steal, dinner and live entertainment plus beautiful horses, what more can I ask for.
Well, we didn't go for the food! But honestly I thought it was pretty good! Chicken was moint and the corn and potato was tasty too. My vegetarian wife and kid were not as enthusiastic about their options but I didn't hear them complain too much. Our server was fantastic! I forgot his name but he was great and brought us drinks often and took care of our needs. The show was fantastic! I loved the stunts and entertaining storyline. Was very cool! And our red team won so that was rad. This was organized by Make-a-wish so they really took care of us. We got photos with the players and the King and Queen which was really cool. The overall experience was really fun and I recommend it to anybody that wants to enjoy a fun show and dinner! Thank you!
We had a great time with the family! I brought my two boys (8 and 9 years old) and my 18-year-old daughter — everyone had a blast. One of my sons was even recording the action to show grandma later. My wife and daughter had a lot of fun, though they were tripping out at first that there are no utensils — definitely added to the medieval vibe! The food was delicious and served in generous portions. All the seats in the house offer a great view, so you really can’t go wrong. We arrived about 10 minutes before the show, and while parking was pretty full by then, we didn’t have to wait for the doors to open. We did miss the pre-show welcome, so I’d recommend arriving earlier to catch that part of the experience. Overall, it’s a fun, family-friendly night out — highly recommended!
A family member surprised us with tickets to a tournament. I had no idea this was even a thing, but oh my goodness what an experience. The horsemanship and falconry were really amazing to experience. The story line is a bit cheesy, but the actors do a great job. They really interact with the crowd and make it an interactive experience. I can’t say that I remember the last time I drank soup, but the lack of utensils definitely added to the authenticity show. We had the VIP passed and enjoyed the seats. I will say it was a little chilly and the seats weren’t super comfortable, so if you’re going during colder months know that the arena is pretty chilly. The bartenders and servers were all very helpful and kind. Worth experiencing once in your life.
Huzzah! We visited for a birthday celebration and the entire experience was legendary. From the thrilling tournament to the delicious feast, everything was top-notch. The energy in the arena is infectious, and it was the perfect way to spend time with the family. Our knight fought bravely, and we left with great memories. Highly recommend for all ages!
A one of a kind Experience! We loved it! It felt like we travelled back in time. They do an excellent job with creating a castle atmosphere and with the special effects for the show! Their knights are actually really skilled horseman and the beautiful Andalusian horses were a joy to watch! The food is basic, but that is in keeping with the medieval theme: chicken, roll, potato, soup, eclair that you eat with your hands. The real treat is the jousting tournament, royal pageantry and horsemanship. Lots of other customers dressed up! I wish we had!! Me and my daughters had a blast!
We had the BEST time! The new show is amazing and so entertaining. We have no voices after all the cheering for our guy. We loved it so much! The staff were hard working and super friendly. The food was amazing! Cannot wait to come back!!!
I thought this was an absolute blast. Food and beer using old fashioned spoons and mugs and bowls, and a knights tournament to watch. The lighting is such that photography is difficult and during the show they lowered some netting, for our protection versus flying clumps of dirt or mislaid weapons which mad photo's and viewing even more difficult. With or without though, it was a roaring good time, full of fun and fantasy. The food was OK, but what can you expect when serving hundreds as quickly as possible. Eating it with odd utensils enhanced the experience, and to be honest, food in the medieval times was probably pretty much like what we had but I expect ours was far better and fresher. :)
You’ve got to go here!! The atmosphere is incredible, the attention to detail is impressive and the actors are phenomenal! They stay in character and have incredible action scenes. The food is great, better than I expected and our server Felix was a joy every time he came by. It’s more than just action, there’s a full storyline and plot twists. A hawk trainer came out and that was one of my favorite parts. They interact with the audience and honestly just go here! Someone said it smelled of horse poop but I can’t disagree more, it was clean and crisp for us. Worth every penny, I would definitely go back. TEAM RED AND YELLOW KNIGHT 💛⚔️❤️
Amazing for the first time and bought the LED swords to participate. Show was amazing and engaging. There are some moments the host are asking for crowd engagement to yell or hype up but you’ll be eating, so the timing is off lol. Parking lot was decent. Price wasn’t too bad. The employees are very engaging with, “my lord.” Would go back. Red Team!
I love this place! I took my niece and nephew and daughter this time and they had a blast! The food is always good and the show is amazing. I hope they never close. This place has been a family staple for years for us!
This family friendly show was so much fun. They really get the crowd engaged with the story and it makes it all so much more exciting. The food was a lot of fun too. They serve your food on real metal dishes and it adds to that medieval times feel. The show is definitely made for young adults and kids but being almost 30, my husband and I enjoyed it quite a lot.
A relaxing Southern California escape with gorgeous grounds, top-notch amenities, and a laid-back luxury vibe. The resort is sprawling and serene, with lush landscaping, beautiful fountains, and Spanish-style architecture that makes you feel like you're tucked away in a private oasis. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, many with patios or balconies overlooking the golf course or gardens. Highlights include: The spa is a must -- peaceful, spacious, and well-run with excellent massage services and a private pool area just for spa guests. Multiple pools for families and adults-only, including waterslides for kids and a quieter vibe for adults. The golf course is pristine and draws both casual and experienced players. Dining options are solid, with the on-site restaurants offering fresh, California-inspired menus and great cocktails. The location is also a plus -- just a short drive from the beach, Legoland, and charming downtown Carlsbad. If there's a downside, it's that the resort is large and spread out, so getting around might require a bit of walking or waiting for a golf cart shuttle. And while service is generally great, it can feel slightly understaffed during peak times. Overall, a wonderful destination for families, couples, or a spa/golf weekend getaway. Peaceful, picturesque, and packed with amenities.
We received tickets as a Christmas present, and our experience was fantastic! We were part of Team Yellow Knight, and to add to the excitement, they threw carnations into the stands. The thrill of it all made it incredibly fun! We were pleasantly surprised by how delicious our food was; we had one special food accommodation, and it was great as well! Our server was wonderful—very nice and friendly. We would definitely come back!
Sam was the best sever ever. She was so kind and sweet and compassionate. If you ever get her as a server you are in for one heck of a treat! She made our night so much more fun than it already was. Sam's going places for sure.
Great experience. There's not much to do in the interior before eating so we did walk around for a while without aim. We picked up two margaritas in the ceramic tankards ($30 each before tax) you keep the cups! Seating is a little tight. I would be shoulder to shoulder with the guests on either side of me. I got standard seating ($77 each) and was about 5 rows up but had great views! The show is interactive, sort of. Some people get flags, you're allowed to shout, yell, etc when prompted. We had a great time cheering for "our" knight! The fights are scioted but they have good effects and the horse show was awesome! There's no "horsey" smell, and it was not hot or cold in the auditorium. No utensils for plates unless requested. The food was: Starter: tomato soup and slice of garlic bread (great) Main course: half rotisserie chicken ( It was well seasoned, dark meat was perfect, the white meat was overcooked) Half a baked potato Half a corn on the cob Dessert: chocolate elcair and a coffee Drinks are Pepsi, lemonade, water, alcoholic beverages For the price I think a full potato and corn were warranted, but I was pretty full by the end anyway! Overall for two dinners, two margaritas, and tips I spent just about $240. For 90 minute of showtime and for the topic (highly enjoy by me and my partner) I found it to be a fantastic experience. I would likely not go a second time, but I will be reccomending it for first timers as a unique medieval experience!
This was a fun activity with family and friends. The food was surprisingly very good, very soft chicken and soda refill. The menu was tomato soup, bread, chicken, potato, corn, and eclair for dessert. There are also drinks from the bar if you want for extra money. The full course and a great show all this for $76. It was fun and keeps you engaged. A little uncomfortable if your chair is in the middle of the row very difficult to get up so be sure to go to the restroom before the show. Also lots of people so there’s a huge line for the restroom. Also there’s a lot to see so be there at least an hour before the show. Also try to park near the exit cause there will be a long line of cars after. I recommend to go at least once in your life.
The food was surprisingly good for feeding so many people all at the same time. The chicken was great. The show was excellent. The horses were very elegant and the jousting was exciting. The falcon show was an extra bonus. It was a little too loud. We could see well even though we were in the second to last row. Take a close up look at the horses and pictures with the knights after the show
Wonderful experience for the family while visiting the area for a trip to Disneyland. The food portions are large, and the food is pretty good. You can also get a to-go box if needed. You can get alcoholic drinks before the show starts and you can walk around their gift shops and see the horses in their stables.
My wife wanted to go to medieval times for her birthday and I had not been to medieval times since 2006, so I figured why not. I'm so glad she chose to go here for her bday. I honestly don't know who had more fun me, her, or my daughter lol. In all honesty it was such a great time and the food was better than I expected and remembered. We did take our two year old and she sat on our laps and it was probably better than way so she could see the show. The people around us weren't bothered by it (I say this cuz the seats are kinda tight). The show itself was entertaining and although our knight didn't win we had an amazing time. We definitely want to go back soon just for a night out.
Awesome time! You get to keep the glass/mug they sell your drink in. Lots of heckling and cheering in the crowd. Fun times with friends. I can tell the owner wants to keep customers happy instead of gouging you with BS. That being said, there are offerings of bonuses and cosplay items at a PREMIUM. The foam swords are quality though, not cheap. I did the VIP experience and for an extra $30 why not. Wasn't key but was a fun front row seat. More than just a joust too. There was a falconer, horse shows, fun story line. Interaction with the knights. Truly a this-is-fun experience
This place was so much fun! I loved the entire experience from start to finish. The food was good but not great, but we went more for the show than the food. The show was a lot of fun and semi interactive. If you're claustrophobic I would recommend getting an aisle seat because once you sit, you're pretty much stuck for the entire show if you're in the middle. We would definitely go again!
I visited Medieval Times in Buena Park on Saturday, Feb 21 for the 2pm show as part of a book club meetup, and it was a fantastic experience overall! Check-in and seating were smooth and organized. One small note: the email made it sound like the full party had to be present to enter, but we only needed the first and last name of the purchaser. It’s a minor communication issue, but worth clarifying for future guests. You don't even need the email confirmation. The food portions were extremely filling. You basically get half a chicken (they call it a “baby dragon,” which was hilarious) plus lots of sides. It’s not fancy food, but it’s tasty, satisfying, and honestly part of the fun is eating with your hands and making a mess. The show itself was very entertaining! I was especially impressed by the animals and their handlers. At the end we got to meet an owl whose handler was part of the show, and he was genuinely enthusiastic about educating guests about his birds. Staff throughout the venue were friendly and sweet, and tipping was easy via Venmo. I paid a little over $90 per ticket, + $25 tip and felt it was great value. You’re basically getting dinner and a live show. Overall, highly recommend!
Honestly, it was good, and no negative feedback that I can definitively say. I wasn’t expecting much initially but quite a performance and it’ll be great if you have kids and/or spending time with niece/nephews for sure. I say it’s a good balance in atmosphere for adults and kids. Very decent for the price I would say. Food was quite decent, chicken portion (non-vegan option) was big and filling comes with 2 soft/juice drink refills, small dessert at the end with optional coffee. The thing about the arrival time, its up to you if you want to see small glimpses of horses behind glass, gift shop, costume (if you desire), alcohol bar before the show, come early 60 minutes prior but in case you’re running late or anything, coming like 20-30 minutes prior is good enough (they let us in 30 mins prior to showtime) and they open the door like 5 mins prior to 10 mins past the actual showtime? depending? but total show time is ~2 hours. Seating is already predetermined on the row you’re going to sit so I wouldn’t worry about finding “good seating”.. all the rows are really good in viewing regardless. Birthday’s get good discounts
It was an absolutely amazing experience. The show was excellent. Very helpful staff . The food was very good. Overall a great place to take the family. It was my birthday celebration and my name was mentioned alongside other birthday greetings which added another amazing aspect to my visit. I would Highly recommend for everyone.
We had so much fun!!!!! I highly recommend upgrading your package to either the celebration or the royal court. It's well worth it if you're celebrating a special occasion. From the moment you walk in you're transformed into another space and time. The kids really loved their experience. Then food was much better than I expected as well!! It's a full 2 hour experience and it's money well spent. Loved the horses and the performers. The whole family had a blast!
Fun for any occasion, not just a birthday or anniversary. Be prepared for a fun and engaging show, and you may just get a flower thrown to you. Show up an hour before to enjoy pre show festivities, pay for upgrades (seating, photos- worth it, being knighted, and other souvenirs), enjoy drinks, and see the horses and falcons in their stalls (behind clear wall). Good traditional meal that’s made well. Great drinks, and desert was a simple eclair. Part of an upgrade is birthday cake, and I believe it’s a slice of vanilla with chocolate or Boston cream- I didn’t eat mine and traded for more soul with my neighbor 😜. Bathrooms are nice and clean. Atmosphere is engaging and tribal (to your knight’s color!), and photos are welcome. Military discount for original tickets was great. Inside, it’s all on you for any upgraded purchases. Overall, fun memory for everyone.
Love this place. Been going for 30 years. Arrive an hour early as there is plenty to see with the horse stables, the falcons, the sword/armor shop, and then a myriad of merchandise. Once the show starts it's an impressive horsemanship show, they let the falcon fly around the arena, the knights engage in real competitions to win flowers for thier section of the crowd, and then of course, the joust. I suggest going on Facebook or YouTube and watching videos of the process first to make this show. It will enrich the experience with an understanding of what the performers, horses, falcons and staff go through to make the show feel the way it does. Oh food is medieval but will not disappoint.
We visited Medieval Times for my birthday, and it was like entering the Middle Ages, except without the plagues and questionable hygiene. Even with the sound system sounding like an old dragon wheezing in the back, the show was still a lot of fun. The food was great, the chicken was juicy, and the portions were solid. The eclair didn’t win the dessert battle, but everything else made up for it. Our server was incredible and stayed in character the whole time. The sword fights, acrobats, and costumes were impressive, and our first-timers had a blast. We’d definitely come back for another royal feast!
I like places like these where you can really judge a book by it's cover. Does the idea of drinking literal goblets of beer while eating a rotisserie chicken with your bare hands while knights on horses battle 20 ft in front of you sound like fun? Do you see yourself laughing with friends while screaming for your favorite knight as they battle for honor and glory? If yes, then I definitely recommend this place. I had a blast 2 beer goblets deep, hands slipping and sliding on chicken meat, screaming praise at our vigilant blue knight. Look for discounts and Groupons for frequent 50% off coupons and have fun.
Was seated with Red Knight. He was the clear dominant knight of the whole group. Despite revealing his rebellious association with the Catalan off shoot he really screwed up the reveal and ended up having all the knights turn against him. If he was smart he would have behaved himself during the joust. Then, when the time was right he could have snuck behind stage and slayed the king. The Queen clearly wanted his D so she would have probably been ok with it. Instead his hubris got him slayed and he didn’t get the girl. Also, it’s ridiculous how much money. Medieval Times is printing. The novelty of the utensiless food was fun as a child but coming back as an adult, my $75 experience was probably a $3 meal. If you are going to continue with that, that’s fine but I think they should replace all the amplifying recorded music with live musicians. They can certainly afford it and it would really go a long way to help with the immersion. Plus I am sure everyone would love to jam with a talented bard.
My husband took me here for my birthday. It was very fun...with the exceptions, #1 we were very tight at the table. A group of girls came in for a birthday and I had very little room. We paid for " vip" but didn't feel very " vip" our seats were up front. Cool right? Except the railing was right in my line of sight. I had to dodge that all night. Our photos that came with " vip" were 2 of the EXACT photo. The staff was GREAT. Super nice and accommodating. The bathrooms need expanding, after the show it was PACKED. It was like half time at a football game. The prices were as you would expect. It was over 200$ for our tickets parking included, and a margarita was 20$ and that came with a collectors glass. If you go, go early. We were pressed to see the horses and get a drink and be seated before the show. If you want to dress in period time, DO SO. So many people were dressed up it was fun to see.
This was my first time visiting Medieval Times, and the overall experience was definitely unique. From the moment we arrived, the staff and servers were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and very prompt with everything we needed. The show itself was impressive—the horses were absolutely beautiful and clearly well cared for, which added a lot to the atmosphere and excitement. Unfortunately, the one downside to the evening was the food. My chicken was noticeably undercooked, and I ended up with a pretty terrible stomach ache after leaving the show. It definitely took away from what otherwise could’ve been a fantastic experience. With better attention to the food preparation, this place could easily deliver a consistently enjoyable experience from start to finish.
Very well organized! Great show and a lot of fun! Parking can be tedious, but get there early and it's not so bad! The food is okay, definitely not something I would normally buy or eat except for the chicken. The actors all seemed to really enjoy what they were doing, and the horses appeared very well kept. The facilities were clean, our seating had great views, but the leg space is terrible. My left knee was hurting so bad by the end of the show! There is no place to put your legs other than scrunched up in front of you, regardless of your height! After the show there is plenty of opportunity to purchase more souvenirs and interact with your friends and the actors.
We went to Medieval Times for National Son day. We took our 10 & 12 year old for the first time. There's free parking. We arrived 25 mins before show time. Everything went smoothly from the entrance. We paid extra for the Queens Royalty package as we wanted to invest in the best experience. I believe it was worth it. I do want to express that the seating is narrow and confined my knees did feel it. Also as nice as our server was he wasn't as attentive as the ones behind us, they got there food out sooner, I would assume that they would put there best servers for those who spent more but overall it was a memorable night. The food was good and hot. I really enjoyed it all except the eclair it seemed recently defrosted BUT with the Queens package the slice of the cake made up for it in my opinion. The pictures came out great, not sure how much the we're done our package included it. Overall it was a memorable night and our family recommends it.
This is a fun place to bring the family, but it is definitely on the pricier side when it comes to the meal. I know they have to pay servers, horse trainers, actors, etc. so the price point makes sense, but the portions left a little more to be desired. The desert wasn't great and was relatively small and the food wasn't seasoned very well. The show was great, but it was at times hard to hear or understand, but my kids liked it and it was overall an enjoyable experience for the afternoon.
Attended for a bachelorette party and had a wonderful time! You can purchase professional photos and pay extra to have any special events or celebrations announced during the tournament. All of the actors and animals were incredibly talented, and we were very engaged in cheering or booing as the story went along. My favorite act was the falconer! Food was generous servings, but nothing to write home about.
Highly recommend going at least once. It was an absolute blast and the environment was very fun and immersion. The show was fun, intense and exciting. I loved cheering for our knight and seeing how the show went down. The food is not terrible, I was honestly impressed considering how much they were pumping out. They are essentially creating the same meal for a few hundred people to be brought out at the same time. I would say the corn was probably the least enjoyable of my meal. It was very dry. The chicken was moist and well seasoned. Keep in mind you will be eating with your bare hands. The servers and cast were extremely kind and helpful. There are a lot of people there and only a few cocktail waitresses so only having 1 beer for the show was a bit of a bummer. My recommendations: 1. If you are not up for eating all of your food with your bare hands, bring some utensils. 2. If you want more than 1 drink get there early they do have a full bar you can drink at but it gets busy fast 3. Seating can be pretty tight. So try and sit on the outside of the row of you get there in time. Your seats aren't assigned by numbers, just by row so when they open up I woukd reccomend get there quick.
If you thought about coming do it. It’s a lot of fun! I was having a rough week said let’s go to medival times to check it out and had a blast. The entertainment was top tier, left with a course throat from all the cheering. Food is alright, wish they provided condiments. Recommend springing for VIP to get better seats. I got a flower from one of the knights! I went on a Tuesday night at 7Pm it was packed, also get there early!
It was a spur of the moment, end of our vacation decision to go check out this performance. We had two parents, a teen and a 5 year old in our party, and all four of us enjoyed the event. The food was well seasoned, and our squire was courteous and swift. Overall, it was a fun evening for the whole family!
Went with a large group and we dressed up - because why not?! You don’t have to, as it doesn’t take away from the experience. Easy plot line, gorgeous horses and horsemanship. Food was good, though don’t plan on seconds. The web recommends a super early arrival - you don’t need to get there THAT early unless you plan on imbibing before you sit.
The show was great, very entertaining. Food was basic but good. The upgraded dessert is just a piece of sheet cake, we wouldn't get it again, the standard dessert everyone gets is nicer. We reckon its is not worth paying for the premium front row seats, as there is a plexiglass barrier with a metal border right at eye height, obstructing your view. Also unlike the other rows further back, you are basically trapped in your row unless people stand up to let you out.
We went with a group of friends, all from the United Kingdom, none of us have ever been to this sorts of show, and oh my, the cheering and chanting for our colour champion was just amazing and entertaining! Really added a lot to the atmosphere and the overall experience! I wasn't a big fan of the main meal as my chicken was very dry, but overall the quality was really good, the portions are royal and they offered to pack it up so you could take it home with you. Very friendly service. We had an absolute blast!! We had a VIP package which included some photos. This was a bit awkward as we got 0 instructions or directions from the photographer, other than "stand here" and "we make 2 photos". Could have been a great opportunity if the photographer interacted a bit more on what kind of pose/ group pictures we wanted. 😊
My husband and I took our four teens to dinner. It was quite pricey, but alot of fun. The main meal was pretty good and we all enjoyed it. The servers were quick and the food came out hot. The dessert however was very lack luster! Normal meals got a small eclair which was terrible. I upgraded our tickets when we arrived, which included a dessert upgrade to cake. The cake was also terrible. It was a dry vanilla cake with gritty frosting on it. I was pretty disappointed as the upgrade was pretty expensive. The show was a fun idea; however, i did note that more than one horse seemed overly stressed. However, I observed the riders regularly reassuring them and giving treats. I did not see any inappropriate handeling of the horses and they were all of good weight and appeared healthy. It is EXTREMELY loud! I wouldn't spend the money again, but it made for a fun memory.
For many reasons I'm not a fan of this place. The horses are obviously not treated very well and you can see it with the foaming mouths and the hard pulling on their reins. The show is the show, it's for kids mostly. Worth going to see once but I don't see how I could make this a recurring thing. $60 or so dollars for some basic chicken and a show sounds about right. The vemno tip for the waitress is a real what the heck moment. Are they 1099s? What is that about? So strange.
I been here many times during the years. I didn't feel immerse into this visit because staff kept constantly braking the immersion. Food tasted disgusting minus garlic bread. And while being served the waiter made a scuff about Costco chicken we were being served. Also, over price drinks with cups over filled with ice. Also the bad choreography when fighting. I know its pretend. But last time I was there the actors looked to be really enjoying themselves and the strikes came so close and look realistic. I just left disappointed.
Very organized. Food is blah. Service is great. Show was good. Horses are beautiful they better take good care of them or so help me God lol Everything in the gift shop is a tad bit pricey. Restrooms are clean. I would give it a 7 out of 10. If I was kid I'd probably give it a 9 out of 10. So overall 7.9 out of 10 experience. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
Great for a show, though a lot of it we joked that it was "foreplay" because the good part of the show is the jousting and fighting, the farefare stuff was dull compared to the good part if the show. For service, we where seated further up so it was obvious that the seasoned squired and wenches were with the vip people and the newbies were with those that paid the regular price. If you go here with kids, the food is not kid friendly. How is a 3 year old gonna rip apart half a chicken, eat blazing hot soup with no spoon ,drink from a big goblet? They liked the garlic bread but they don't give you more garlic bread. You ain't there for the "feast" which aint a feast but for the fighting which is good. Definately bring your own snacks for kids.
it’s a wonderful place with good food, services, welcoming atmosphere at this certain location. Everytime I go I have a wonderful time with the staff and place, however during my favorite part (the crowning station) I didn’t feel as welcomed this time due to a certain employee who was very silent, un responsive, lacked good manner, and was sloppy with his work. During my crowning I happen to overhear an employee named Carlos gossiping over an another employee. In all honesty his actions ruined what should have been one my most favorite moments that day. With what I thought was once welcoming environment turned awkward and uncalled for. Thank you goodbye
