Tried this restaurant for the first time. Parking is in the back and you have to walk around a few buildings to get to the front door. That said, found the place cozy and clean. The service was good and the dishes we ordered were delicious. Reminded me of the way my mom use to cook. Looking forward to returning and trying other menu options.
Fantastic food with genuine "hole in the wall" type restaurant vibes. The food is amazing.
Great food portions ! Also great prices ! You need to try empanadas and bandeja paisa
The foood was amazing! I was super excited to find Colombian food and we were notleft disappointed! White rice had great flavor, the chicharrones were delicious. Meat was cooked perfectly. So glad we found something different to try!
Chichamón con Arepa.. one of the best I’ve had in LA. Truly tastes homemade. Tons of food options if your a picky eater. Parking kinda sucks but don’t let that deter you from trying this amazing restaurant.
This was the most delicious and authentic Colombian food I have had in a long time! I’m visiting from NC and usually can’t find good Colombian food there so was happy to find this place. I ordered online and my order was done quickly and just so good. I ordered the bandeja paisa.
The food and its serving are marvelous. Their phone order and how quickly and accurately they dispatched is outstanding. Try everything and you will thank them always for being in our beautiful Buena Park vicinity.
Great Colombian food! Food is delicious. Price is very reasonable. It is a small hole in the wall location. Parking is the negative. U have to go through Taco Bell(next door) and park behind location.
First time eating here. I ordered Ajiaco soup, Empanadas, and chicharron con arepa. and in less then 15 minutes everything was ready to pick up. Very delicious and authentic Colombian food. You must try it!
5 stars. Price, quantity, and quality of the bandeja paisa is top notch. I would assume the rest of the menu tastes just as good. This is a very authentic restaurant and from a Colombian, that loves food, I highly recommend this place.
A fabulous hole in the wall place at the crossroads of Beach and Artesia. I've never had Colombian food before but it will not be the last. Having ordered the Bandeja Paisa which was a mountain of meat on a bed of white rice, a side of the best beans ever, a sunny side egg, and half an avocado, the chicharron was fried to perfection and by far my favorite. Though it took 30 minutes for my food, it was well worth the wait. The server was kind and considerate.
For a little hole in the wall, the food and service was excellent. I had some kind of shrimp thing with a yellow sauce. Very good food.
Food was delicious, tasted homemade, nothing like fast food. Customer service was very good. I definitely will come back to this place.
This hole in the wall is an experience. They load up the plates with a ton of food! And the plantains remind me of bananas foster! Delicious. Great service. Can't wait to taste their ceviche and coffee next time!
I saw this place on my way driving down Beach, but was waiting for indoor dining to open up. The place is a small and has about 7 tables. The food was definitely worth the wait. The food was plentiful and delicious. You know the food is good when off the bat, the rice and beans are on point !! Super delicious. The chicharrón, was uhhhhh amazing. I highly recommend checking this place out, especially if you want to explore more Latin American food. I’m Central American, and there were things on the menu that even I didn’t recognize. I’m definitely coming back and supporting this local business.
Growing up with Columbian family, this was pretty accurate and authentic. Took 40 mins to get my Bandeja Chiva; they looked somewhat understaffed and had a full house. Food was fresh, seasoned, tasty and overall up to par with the prices on the menu. They forgot My avocado as pictured but it didn't matter honestly. Their rice and beans was phenomenal? The fried sweet plantains were great as well. Chicken breast was tender and juicy. I could go on but you get the picture. Will be trying some other dishes here soon.
The food and service is amazing! Food 4.5/5 and filling! Service 4.5/5! Super sweet! I'd recommend this dish if it's your first time here! The mango drink is a 5/5!
First time here. The food was delicious and the service was great. We ordered Empanadas de pollo y de carne (chicken and beef), Cheviche de Camarones, Bandeja La Chiva.
The food is good the waiters suck… just be prepared… new waiters with carisma is needed to liven the place up!
This restaurant really is ...all that! Every dish we had was was hot, delicious and very well prepared... Portions are quite large. Super Colombiano, super paisa, super delicioso! Restroom and parking areas are very clean however not ADA friendly. I mentioned this to the management today; they said they would look into it right away.
Excellent Colombian food restaurant. Very savory and fresh. The food is authentic and the service is good. We had the Bandeja Paisa, the meats were tender and seasoning was on point. Nice portions. The plate consisted of fried plantain, chicharrón, grilled chicken and beef steak. A side of green salad, rice and beans. The location isn't grand at all, kinda like a hole in the wall but with rents so high in the OC it's understandable.
We keep coming back! The food is delicious and very friendly servers!! Stop by, you wont regret it!
Stopped here for breakfast before heading to catch a flight. Absolutely delicious! People here are all sweet. Great experience for a quick authentic meal. Thank you. :)
MUST GO! I've been to 4 different colombian restaurants in O.C. and L.A. this is by far the most delicious!

Invited my 2 daughters to hang out on Saturday April 12th 2025 . Three different dishes , with everybody well satisfastied . Well executed food ..Recommending the Pony Malta drink as a Colombian friend of hers suggested beforehand . - slightly fermented , non alcoholic- One of my f daughters ordered it and after finishing my regular Coke I ordered one too . A 4.5/ 5 star for table availability - 6 tables for a group of 4 & 3 tables for groupe of 6 people. Quite spacious aisle in between tables ... A pouchless - middle upper center , standing up - bill holder for debit/ credit card..Pen was non cooperative at signing , a GEL pen is suggested...... Decor was well placed , not overwhelming , handheld menus available for all of us , music was at a level to make conversation a breeze
The empanadas are a most try, it’s our favorite Colombian spot you can’t go wrong with them no matter what you order

Great food. Hard to find parking since there are only a few spots in the rear. We ordered a Bandeja paisa and empanadas for the kids. Small joint with chill environment, good music playing in background.
Was really satisfied with the meal I ordered. Bandeja Paisa. And the empanadas and maracuya fruit smoothie was delicious. Parking was very inconvenient though. Park in the rear and walk thru a fast food restaurant lot to get to it. No access from the rear of the restaurant.
Food was great, large portion and delicious. Very nice hostess. Place was not hard to find but parking was hard to get to. We parked in the back, had to get through a dark alley. We came late so the place was empty and we got our food fast. The empanada was delicious and worth trying, both chicken and pork.
Food was good, not enough seating and conjusted restaurant
Many dishes to choose from, prices higher than other similar to it in the area, parking in the back alley , you need to walk around the block, Friendly service
Good local restaurant in Buena Park for Colombian food. I ordered the Bandeja Campesina and it was good. The ground beef did not taste like it was freshly made in my own opinion, but everything else on the plate was good! I would definitely come back again. The parking situation is confusing. There's no parking in the front of the restaurant.

I bought chicharrones with fried yuca the chicharrones were ok , not really good but the yuca was terrible soft and looks dark like they cook it in old oil, yuca frita should be white and crunchy
As someone mentioned before, they don't answer the phone, so you can't order ahead of time. Parking is in the back, and the only door is in the front. So you have to walk past the taco bell to get to their only entrance. Sometimes, their open sign isn't on either, so hopefully, their hours are accurate on here. They do charge $1 for credit card. I like the fried bananas, but overall everything else tasted okay. Portions are big.
Friendly staff, the food options for vegetarians are limited. The juices are good, but they should charge less when made with water and not milk.
Randomly saw this Colombian truck and was excited to try. That excitement went away after waiting 40 minutes for two chicken arepas, beans, and a passionfruit juice. The cook served two other customers after me, and they got their food before us. I understand that he was working alone, but we were the first customers here for 15 minutes before another customer showed up. He just said that our food is coming up, and another 15 minutes went by. No explanation or apology of such. I have no intention of coming here again. He served the local workers first because I assume they patronized his business. Otherwise, the food was good and large portion
Okay, for staters, the parking situation kinda sucks. The parking lot is in the back, accessed from the alley only. The. Once in the parking lot, the entrance to the restaurant is still in the front. The restaurant does have a back door, but that looks like it leads directly to the kitchen. Don't want customers walking straight through there. So your only option is to walk all the way around to either Taco Bell, or the Bank. This is not the restaurants fault, so I didn't let it sway my review. Some plates were good, others meh. The fried yucca a la chiva was bomb. Highly recommend. The carne asada plate was meh. I wouldn't get it again. The selection of meat felt like the cheap kind. They have Colombian sodas. I got the mango drink. It was delicious.

Positive :The food is really good. Negative: I believe it is really expensive plates. Sometimes price doesn't matter if u get good food and good service but it is not the case. The service is really bad!! The server answer in a rude way every time u ask for something. They were full and only one server. Big menu but not well explained and server didn't explain it even if u ask whats include on the plate! So insist maybe they include something you dont like and not on the menu explanation!! Server not nice/friendly at all!! Looks like she is in the wrong job. If u order empanadas u must ask for aji or she will not bring it to you!! They need workers and improve service!! For now no good stop there!!
Place an order to pick up on Jan 25, 2025 Arrived and order wasn't ready. Got home to find out that the entraña order was missing the rice and beans. What a disappointment. Try to call the restaurant and got no answer. So decided to make the review, maybe they pay a little more attention to the take out. The entraña plate is one of the most expensive dishes in the menu to be left with just half of it.
I was so excited to try la chivas food but, unfortunately I was disappointed! The parking lots sucks and it’s so crowded it’s small. Second, once we got inside it was super hot and they was only 2 families in the restaurant and other tables were dirty. We sat down at the first table and had to wait 5 mins to get it cleaned . The food was ok but not the best. My bandeja paisa was dry, seemed like they left it out couple mins to get it cool down . The service was ok the server was not the best she was a blonde lady! Sadly I don’t recommend this place
Drove all the way over here from Glendora. It was 6:30 PM. As we walked up to the door, they locked it. I waved the guy to come back to the door. Showed him that Google says they close at 8:00 PM. He just waved his arms. This is unacceptable.
I would give it a zero The food is dry and fried with old oil They're not clean, they place raw meat on dirty surface The owner is so rude Don't waste your time or money here Overpriced
I arrived at 5:53 PM on a Saturday 02/01/2025, well before closing time at 8 PM, yet I was met by children who informed me the restaurant was closed—without any adult staff addressing me. Extremely unprofessional. Zero stars. In contrast, I went to Donde Adela, where I was welcomed immediately. The service was professional, the environment was clean and organized, and the experience truly reflected how Colombian cuisine should be treated—with care and respect for its customers.
Horrible service and it's so sad to say as a Colombian and write something like this but this place is something else. Great food but I drove my family after a funeral service who were visiting from out of state we drive almost 2 hours with traffic for them to try it bc I spoke well of the food for us to arrive at 6:30pm when they close at 8pm and then having doors locked not wanting to serve us. Clearly there was tables open and a couple families eating and workers working but they wouldn't even come over to speak to us and let us know why door was locked almost 2 hours early. Just kept waiving their arms nonstop and looked angry. Day after we try again to get there at 10am for breakfast. Nobody there until 11:15am and only waited because we had made the drive a second time and really wanted them to try it. Terrible service would give zero if I could but if you're lucky to be helped out food is great. Oh and don't even bother calling they will never answer I have been there when they just ignore the phone for over an hour and let it keep ringing
Ordered la pandera campesina. Que asco. Dry. Also la arepa con queso. Last night's arepa reheated, so dry I cannot eat. Patacon pesado. I was expecting green fried, not platanos. And so disappointed.....not the first time I ordered, but recall why I waited so long. If you're a Paisa forget this lack of Colombian pride, because there was none.
I hope this place gets closed down. As a Colombian living in California my entire life. I’m truly disappointed. After realizing my cazuela de mariscos was old, I asked them to remove the plate it was left on table and when I questioned on why I was being charged for the plate the young man told me there was nothing they could do! I paid my tab and left furious. Not even a simple apology was given to me and my non Colombian guest!!! Worst experience!!!. After asking the young man for the manager or owners name he said the owner goes by Alex.!!! Zero service zero respect and zero stars to these dirty nasty people.
I drove all the way from the San Fernando valley wanting to try this place. According to Google Maps it shows they’re open until 8PM. Tried calling this place to see if they’re open and no one answered. It is 6:50PM and there’s people there and good luck trying to get access to this place.
We ordered here and we were told our order would be ready at 7:10. Website says they’re open until 8. We arrive at 7:05, for the lights to be out, door locked and person inside refuses to open the door. I’ve called the number on their website and their door, noone will answer. But they took my charge for $165.00 and we sit at 7pm with no dinner. Do not accept orders if you do not intend on filling them.
