Ate some delicious food with some friends today! We had to wait quite a while for one of our friends to arrive but we never felt rushed to order. The staff was very kind and the food was yummy! Pictured is bulgogi bibimbap, deep fried chicken with sweet chili sauce, kimchi stew with pork ribs, cheese tteokbokki, and cheese pork katsu.
Love this place! Finally we get an amazing Korean restaurant up north of Calgary. Staff were very friendly and their menu is simple and all very well done to the perfection. You do not have to worry about the portion especially with their Tonkatsu meals you will go home extremely full and happy. Love all their soups as well as the grill plates. Highly recommended. For busy days make sure you call ahead to make a reservation or else you might show up disappointed knowing that it is full (considering the place has small amount of dine in tables)!
Super friendly staff. Delicious food! Wow these sets are such a good deal. Each set comes with all of the sides that you see in the pictures and you are definitely getting your moneys worth. The spicy dipping gravy that you get with the Tonkatsu meal is sooo delicious and spicy. Definitely would recommend coming here and I will also be back soon!
I’ve been a customer of this restaurant for almost a year, and the food quality has always been excellent—whether dining in or ordering takeout. Dining in is definitely the better option, with free refills of rice and side dishes. I especially love the BBQ chicken, where the sweet and spicy flavours are perfectly balanced, and the pork belly is truly a hidden gem. For dinner parties at home, we always order the seafood pancake—the portion is generous and easily gives everyone at least a couple of bites. Highly recommended!
First time visiting and it was a great experience. The portions are huge and we ended up taking our leftovers to go. You also get unlimited rice and side dishes with the main meals, which is an awesome deal. The service was really nice too, when I asked for everything, including the appetizers, to come out at the same time, they made it happen with no problem. Seating is limited, so I’d recommend making a reservation. Overall, very satisfying!
My go to Korean restaurant in town. Amazing & authentic food. Generous portion with refillable rice and side dishes. Spicy beef rib soup is my favourite! Bibimbap is also very yum. Not many seats available so we usually have to wait for a while during busy dinner hours but that’s okay as I’m willing to wait to enjoy my comfort food.
Absolutely love Rice Table! The food is amazing and the service is fantastic. I love all the different sets you can get. The seafood pancake is very tasty and the spicy chicken set is delicious! The bbq meats are definitely better than their Katsu but the Katsu are still very good. The soup is amazing! Overall great place to go if you want some yummy Korean food. The place is quite small with limited seating so I recommend making a reservation.
Food was absolutely amazing and authentic. I will definitely be coming back. I had the Spicy Tteokbokki and Kimchi Pork Bone Spicy Stew. The pork was fall off the bone and tender and I loved all the side dishes that came with it. The food was a great amount so definitely worth the price. Good service but the seating area is quite small and not very spacious. Regardless, the quality of food is worth it!
Ordered the perfect couple on Doordash which was the beef bulgolgi bibimbap, pork katsu, and accompanying side dishes, mushroom onion sauce for the katsu, and gochujang sauce for the bibimbap. Also came with 2x sodas. The bibimbap was delicious and had good amounts of vegetables and meat. The gochujang sauce that came with it was really delicious. Pork katsu had 2 cutlets which was great and came with rice and salad. The mushroom onion sauce paired very nicely with the katsu. Portion size for a delivery order was generous and we were pleasantly surprised. Bibimbap was good but the katsu was the big hit. We would definitely order their katsu again. Update: ordered the Gamjatang and Deep Fried Chicken with Sweet Chili Sauce - the gamjatang was decent but not much else to write about. Decent portion size. The deep fried chicken was very good. Great portion size, had rice cakes, and the sauce was both sweet and spicy.
The tray was excellently served with a huge portion to satisfy customers’ palate. It’s authentic and the service was excellent. I was so surprised to see 3 huge beef ribs in the soup and appreciate the owner’s passion to give a good serving to their customers. And they are so generous to serve the pancake with a bundle of seafood.👍🏻 The place is really a gem in my neighborhood.
It was our first time having Korean food, and we were not disappointed. The staff are amazing and extremely helpful. I would not recommend Korean dishes to someone with a nut and or seafood allergy, they went above and beyond to ensure that my husband‘s food did not contain any allergens. The food was hot, flavourful and the portions are large and very filling; worth every penny. But only complained was the dining area is a bit small considering how busy they were on a Sunday afternoon. However, if they keep up the amazing service and wonderful food, I can definitely see them expanding in the near future to accommodate more diners.
When this restaurant opened in the neighborhood in 2020, my wife and I said that we should take the kids here. We were FINALLY able to come here 4 years later, and we were not disappointed. The chili chicken bibimbap tasted amazing (and cleared my sinuses) and the dumplings were a huge hit. The kids were dining while singing every K-pop song on the loudspeaker and the servers were friendly and very helpful. Clean bathroom too that we didn’t have to scorn. 5 Stars well earned.
I’ve been here a couple of times now, and overall it’s been a good experience. The food is decently priced, and I love that you get unlimited side dishes with your main. I’m pretty picky when it comes to kimchi, but theirs is sooo good! Some of the dishes can be a little less flavorful compared to others, but they’re still good and enjoyable. The space does get pretty packed and there’s not a lot of room, so I wouldn’t recommend it for big groups. I’d say around 5 people max. You can call ahead to check if it’s busy, otherwise you might have to wait for a table. Service could be a bit better. At times it felt slightly cold or rushed, but nothing too major. Overall, it’s still worth trying if you like exploring new Korean food spots!
Authentic Korean dishes. Have tried all items on the dishes in the past couple of years. Absolutely love every single dishes. The only gotchas the short ribs sometimes have much more fat than other time. I suppose it all depends on the source of the supplier. Otherwise it well cooked and prepared. Of course the space and seating are very limited. If you would have decided to go on the weekends or dinner time, reservations are highly recommended.
Difficult to get a table but the food was pretty good. Extremely generous portion of pork when ordering the breaded pork tray. Too much food but it tasted great. Rice was well made and was a nice blend of different grains. Prices were reasonable. We haven’t had Korean many times and the waiter was helpful explaining how it’s typically eaten. We were lucky to get in the first time and have been wanting to go back but it’s difficult to get a table without a reservation.
The service felt unusual. We had a reservation and arrived early, yet after sitting down for just five minutes, one member of our group was still on their way. Despite this, the waitress approached us and insisted that we place our orders immediately, even though our entire party had not yet arrived. Seating is limited, I do not recommend parties greater than 4 to come here.
I liked that it came in a bowl that I could eat alone. Usually, side dishes are shared at Korean restaurants, but I liked that it was served in my own small bowl. Most of the food was delicious. This was my second visit and I plan to visit again next time. The stews were all delicious, but the pork cutlet was fried too crispy and felt hard. The cheese in the cheese pork cutlet is on top. It's not inside.
It was Saturday around 17:00, went inside for a table, saw a couple tables have their to-go containers on the table already. The server told me need to wait for 30 to 40 minutes for the table, told me to order take away. I don’t know why but I did order take away. After around 5 minutes, some other people come in for a table. The same server clean a table and offer the table to the new guest. I felt extremely furious as they did not tell us to wait a couple minutes to wait for that table. Before I leave the restaurant, another couple came in for a table and the server did the same thing but there was a table is open but just not clean. Then that couple left the restaurant. The server at the restaurant mostly not too friendly, have to admitted food is good, but the server is unfriendly and no sense of hospitality.
this was our goto place for a comfortable and quick meal. Went probably once a week for the past 6 months. Not sure what happened, but the service is really bad now, the servers were very nice before, now they have much attitude. Portion was less and they are not very willing to refill the side. Also, we asked for some hot water to drink, and the server just took it straight off the tap. This is very disappointed.
I've been here a couple of times and tried different dishes but unfortunately the food is just not great. The dishes lack flavour and the rice has been dry and stale both times. The kimchi is bland and the other side dishes are not tasty either. The service is friendly, but the space is small and cramped. There's much better Korean food in Calgary.
This place was not korean at all. First off, the rice was cold and bitter. They offered unlimited rice if the table ordered 80% food for the entire party. There were 3 people in our party and we got 2 main and one side and the staff said they wouldnt offer free refills since appetisers did not count. But why would I get a refill on the rice if its cold and almost solid as some were stuck on the bowl? The side dishes were LACKING especially the kimchi, there was no lettuce and it was just liquid and a few pieces of onion. This should be the basic part of a korean restaurant, the side dishes. The menu options were like fusion, like they have tonkotsu, which is a popular japanese dish in a korean restaurant. We got that one along with a bibimbap which is a big bowl of rice filled with different assortments of veggies and meat. The Bibimbap was alright since it is ment to be served cold and the flavour was alright. On the other hand, the tonkotsu dish came with fried pork cutlets which came out cold and extremely chewy. The sauce that came with the pork was just curry sauce with corn, dosent even taste like an authentic japanese dish served at a korean restaurant. Overall, the main dish portions were decent, but the pre made stuff that gets served in every item on the menu was lacking and cold, it was obioustly pre made. The staff seemed like they get your attention every minute for you to order something, hopin that each person gets an expensive main dish. After you order, they don't even approach your table except for when they came out with the food. The food came out fast like 5 minutes after you order. Thats because everything was pre made in bento boxes which is a japanese style meal. When I walked towards the bathroom, I immeadiately noticeed the kitchen spot so empty and quiet, like there was no steam or smell of anything cooking at the back! When we notified the staff for side dish refill, they would say ok, and after we finished our meal, still nothing. We werent going to wait any longer for some spicy liquid with no lettuce for the kimchi. The atmoshere was very small and limited. I noticed people leave quickly due to the cold food. only thing id recommend is the bibimbap which is a good korean dish, as this restaturant is great for serving cold food. The bulbugi was also good, but cold.
Should be no star if allowed. 1. Fried chicken appetizer: mostly sauce and crumbs, barely find a chicken. Rice cake is hard like have been sitting for long time. Obviously pre-made and not freshly fried. 2. Bimbimpbak: serve on bowl instead of stone bowl - barely warm (rice). Everything taste pre-made. Came with very non generous portion of side dish. 3. Katsu: dry. Also came with very non generous portion of side dish. No refill of rice due to appetizer doesn't count, but the price is not much difference than main dish. Nevermind, cold rice anyway. Server pretend forgot to refill side dish and come back apologize after we finish everything. Nevermind, tiny bit portion anyway. Probably refill 10+ times to be equivalence to other more authentic Korean restaurants' one portion. Overall, restaurant price but taste and service are worse than food court. Absolutely NO return.
