Our first time visiting. Staff was very helpful and kept checking on us. Food was great. Very tasty barbacoa, potatoes were flavorful. Homemade corn tortillas were out of this world. We ordered some to go for breakfast the next day. Will definitely be back.
Great little place in Aransas Pass TX. We go here every Sunday after Church after it first opened. Very reasonable prices, great food and service. Family owned and operated. Fills up fast on Sunday mornings. Definitely a place I go to regularly.
My husband and I were looking for a good & authentic Mexican restaurant and decided to try Mi Mexico, when we arrive there were no cars outside and thought it was closed but it was open (early Thursday) We went inside and were greeted and said to take a seat anywhere. They have a good menu, a lot of options. We decided to go with the Molcajete for 2 ($30). Comes with shrimp, fajita, chicken, sausage and veggies. A long with rice and beans in another plate and your choice of tortillas. I am glad we chose that. It was more than enough for my husband and I! It was good, everything was tasteful and delicious! I definitely recommend it!
If you are looking for some special swanky atmosphere this may not be suitable for you. BUT, if you're looking for somewhere to eat the best TexMex I have eaten in a while, go. The service was great, the food was exceptional!
I arrived for breakfast around 8, and the restaurant was fairly quiet with just us and another table. We seated ourselves and found the place clean. The service was prompt, with a friendly waitress assisting us right away. We ordered horchata, pancakes with bacon, and chilaquiles with red sauce, adding a sunny side egg. While the chilaquiles were decent, they weren't the best I've ever had, but still enjoyable enough for me to finish. However, the potatoes and beans lacked flavor and needed additional seasoning. I did appreciate the tasty red sauce on the chilaquiles. The cook, a lady, was very pleasant and brought out our food. With a 20% tip it was $19.72. Overall, a decent experience.
I walked in after running from home and asked for an ice water because I couldn't afford food. I had walked for hours and just needed a drink. the nice ladies working the morning shift offered me a breakfast taco. I told them I had no money and they just said "don't worry about it". the people here were nicer to me than my own father. 100/10, would recommend this place to everyone and please get the people working here a raise. they deserve the world.
It is a nice clean and well maintained restaurant. The food was hot and fresh. The service was prompt. The waitresses were friendly. The tacos were delicious. I really enjoyed the their hot sauce. We were served chips and hot sauce before our tacos came . It was a nice experience with a friendly atmosphere. I would recommend them and definitely go there again.
We've tried this little hidden gem several and have had different things each time with no disappointments. Our first trip we had the Carne Guiana, Shrimp Cocktail, Chicken Fajita Quesadilla and Chicken Torta, all very good. 2nd time, we both had the Molcajete and once terrific. Our last trip I had the Chicken Fajita Taco Salad, he had Carne Guiana and we shared the Fajita Nachos Supreme - these were the best Nachos anywhere. Definitely stop by our feet it to go!
The food here is bland and over priced. I got bacon and egg plate served with beans and fried potatoes. The eggs were cooked properly. The potatoes really needed to be cooked longer. The bacon was near raw. But no flavor whatsoever. My husband got steak and egg plate. His steak was tender, however, no flavor at all to be had. Again, potatoes need to be cooked longer. Our kids got the pancake plates. The pancakes were okay. Very dense. It seems like cake batter or something. The bacon was again near raw. The homemade tortillas were good. The ranchero salsa was very flavorful, however, could have also passed for a soup. Very odd. Service was average. Would not recommend. Will not go back.
This has been our favorite place since we moved here two years ago, but the last two times we have gone it has not been good at all. Decided to try it again last night and was blown away by how much they jacked their prices up. We ordered the same thing we always do and it was $45 MORE than the last time and wasn't even that great. Portions were smaller and they changed the salsa. We will not be going back and I am very sad about that.
Sour cream, and cheese was spoiled which ruined our whole meal, my husband burrito was not made even half way correct, sons food had some sauce stuff on it and was spoiled. Chips were stale drinks where cans not fountain and wasn’t told to us when ordering, Definitely dont recommend this place at all. Also waited over an hour and 10 min for our food that we couldn’t even eat to begin with. Only thing that was good was the salsa
The food was disgusting. My carnita plate came, everything was cold and the meat was 95% bone and fat. Just terrible. Only one of the four of us actually got their meal warm but he felt there was something off in the meat. As soon as I got home it was a 2 hour visit in the restroom. Also it was a cold night and they had the air conditioning blowing full blast, it made no sense, it was freezing in there
*** Review updated 6-23-2022 scroll down to read why this went from a 5 star to a 1 star*** (Original 5 star review from Feb 2021) Visited back in late February, absolutely fantastic food. And their salsa for chips, AMAZING! We also had a great server, pregnant lady who did an excellent job! Can't wait to return when we're back out that way. ***Updated portion of review*** Wife and I returned after a year and half and simply put this place has gone to craaaap!!!!!. The food is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE, if I could rate it a minus 5 star I would!! The sweet tea tasted like there was a metal flavor to it, the Jalisco burrito I ordered was greasy and the beef was bland. We ordered a side of guacamole and it was runny and tasted spoiled. I asked the server had they changed all their food because I noticed the salsa was no longer amazing like a year ago, she said management had changed. Advice, BRING BACK THE OLD MANAGEMENT this place is horrible!!!!! The only positive was the server was nice however that doesn't make up for absolutely TERRIBLE HORRIFIC food. YUCK!!!!!!! 🤢🤮🤮
