Location is easy to find an so is parking. This is an all vegetarian restaurant and everything can be made vegan. Its not a huge restaurant but big enough for wheel chair access. The tables all have a cute little bouquet of local wild flowers. Staff is friendly and informative. The food is super delicious and packed with flavor. My wife and loved it. Also you can order a full custom vegan cake (in advanced of course) they have great vegan takes on typical American breakfast, so you can eat super healthy or enjoy some sugery sweet french toast. I had the build your own vegan(tofu) omlete i literally got all topping options also added mushrooms and avocado 7 grain toast and patatoes. My wife had the vegan banhmi bowl tried a bit and i enjoyed what i tasted. I recommend this yummy spot to anyone.
Best falafel I've had in years. I love falafel and everything to do with chickpeas, and it's hard to find good falafel sometimes because not many places serve it. Theirs was crispy and flavorful, and it went really well with their veggies and tahini sauce. I highly recommend it! Their blueberry bliss smoothie was also amazing! I rarely leave reviews, but I had to today! I'm glad I found a new favorite restaurant!
I'm not vegetarian but the food was delicious! I will definitely be going back.
The Wicked Thai Stirfry with Peanut Sauce and noodles is absolutely a great dish. The complexity of flavors is memory for the palate to keep and savor.
Casual atmosphere, amazing menu, even better food! It was so refreshing to have a vegan/vegetarian restaurant amidst the plethora of burger places in the area. The staff is so friendly, knowledgeable, warm, and you can tell they love their food and work. Walk in, order and take a seat wherever. Great little restaurant right across the way from cal poly and down the street from the plaza. I ordered Monterey brekky breakfast and was in love! The tzatziki sauce was fresh, light and flavorful! The hummus was a texture that perfectly matched the wedged potatoes and accented the seasoning. I opted for a tofu scramble instead of the poached eggs in my meal (personal preference). Can’t recommend this place enough. I’ve lived in humboldt for 10+years and although I’m sure I went once before, I’ll never forget it now. I’ll be back ❤️
Wow, this place is a little gem right in downtown. The menu has a lot of great options, I wasn't that hungry so I got a smoothie and I wanted to try the falafel. First off, the smoothie was really good and they were able to substitute almond milk for hemp milk. But I have to tell you the real star of the show was that falafel. I have never had a falafel this good before... EVER!! It was so good. As I am writing this review I am sad that I did not order like 15 of them to go. I live about 6 hours away and right this second I am dreaming about that falafel. You guys did an amazing job on that, I look forward to coming through there in the future and trying some of your other offerings.
We preselected to eat here on our honeymoon based on the menu. IT WAS SO GOOD. Service was excellent. Casual laid back comfortable colorful atmosphere. Artwork was delightful. We enjoyed our food so thoroughly. I have some dietary restrictions that were easy to have accommodated without changing the dishes.
I came in with a local friend of mine on a Saturday evening. The place is charming and nice. We ordered the cheese and bread plate and it was awesome with fresh bread, roasted garlic and olive oil, olive tapenade, apple slices, and Brie cheese. I had the mushroom polenta, and wow, it was so good! My friend had the squash tacos that came with a green salad and he devoured it. The server was friendly and attentive. All-in-all, this was a great meal and experience. I would eat here again the next time I'm in town without a thought!
Absolutely wonderful restaurant. Great food, great staff, and good vibes. Locally owned, organic, veggie. It’s a good spot. Great pastries, definitely get the thumbprint and cream cheese brownie. And the dragon bowl, fiesta bowl, and Aphrodite salad. The owner is attentive and loves her business, you can tell. They make their own hot sauce and dressing, both highly recommended. Overall, one of my favorite restaurants in town. Don’t miss it!!
The food taste, quality, portions, price: all spot on! Service: This is a "go up and order from the counter" type of place not a place where you are waited on. Fine just want to set your expectations. With that said, if it is busy your are standing and waiting. If it is empty they are doing side work and getting their attention can take time. However, the staff is friendly and helpful. Atmosphere: Clean, relaxed, nice for groups or someone flying solo.
We enjoyed this place, on a slower day there is many parking options considering the convenient location. The food is made in house and from quality ingredients. They set the table with real wildflowers and share local art. We are pleased and excited to return and try something new.
This place is the best!! They have a wide range of menu items that are all vegetarian and or vegan. My favorite dish is their Mac and cheese. It is the bomb!!! My favorite drink is the Golden milk drink. Which is absolutely fantastic. I will always order this drink because it never disappoints, it’s like an earthy chai with anti inflammatory properties!! :D Also when I got it for door dash, they took the time to put tape over the drink as a drink stopper. They wrote on the tape “thank you :)” That what I call great service! Thanks wildflower cafe, we will most definitely be back for more :D
What a great café! We loved our visit here, it can be hard to find quality food that's dairy and gluten free but this hits the mark. Even the coffee is incredible. The owner (I assume) was great, down to earth and hospitable. My partner had the breakfast burrito with quinoa chorizo and I had an omelette with dairy free cheese, tempeh bacon and gluten free toast. I also had a sunshine immunity smoothie.. I've never wondered what sunshine tastes like but now I know!
We walked in about 30 minutes before they closed midday and they were still so kind to us when we ordered some food “to go”. All of the food was wonderful. We got a couple salads and some sides of tofu, veggies, biscuit, and gravy. Such a great spot for vegetarian and vegan family! And we loved the art in the bathroom 😅
Phenomenal food and incredible service. We stopped here for breakfast on our way through town and got the cilantro pesto omelet and breakfast burrito with quinoa chorizo. My husband and I agreed that this was some of the best breakfast we’ve ever had! And the breakfast potatoes are to die for. Amazing food with the service to match it. Will absolutely be stopping here again anytime we are in the area.
a delicious spot. I didn't get to try more of their food- HOWEVER I'd love to try their vegan french toast! their food is fresh and tasty; I wish they were open beyond 3pm for more days! Their cornbread was extremely warm and simply YUM. hope to try more when I return to visit. and very nice service!
Got the buffalo cauliflower special and it was amazing. I usually get the Asian breakfast bowl cause that’s also amazing. Always happy after leaving with yummy food in my body.
Wildflower consistently serves the best vegan cuisine around. My go tos are the wicked Thai peanut stir fry and the Wildflower potatoes. Oh and an oat milk mocha. So excited they are on Door Dash now. Today’s delivery driver said he had never been inside but it smelled so good he’s going to go back for himself! Love that!!
One of the best vegan restaurants we've ever been too! Everything was amazing and so so delicious. We got one of each thing from the bakery as well and it was incredible! We'd definitely visit again if we're ever in town!
We got the açaí bowl, Humboldt hash, *special raspberry thumbprint latte. Amazing food and great vibes.
Wildflower may be the best restaurant in Arcata! The vegan desserts are to die for! They have new specials everyday and some staples that will have you coming back again and again! Biscuits and Gravy-10/10! Nut burger-10/10. Brie and blueberry pancakes-10/10! Seriously, everything on their menu is outstanding! Owners work there and are the most gracious hosts!
This is one of the best vegetarian restaurants I’ve been to! Situated in the small town of Arcata it’s right on a busy corner. The food was heavenly! Tried both the Sunrise Immunity Boost Shake and the Carrot Shake. The ingredients were extremely fresh! You do get what you pay for. The Portabella burger was absolutely drool worthy. So flavorful! The Happy Waitress sandwich is vegetarian and very filling. Would highly recommend to all vegans and vegetarians alike! A definite stop if you’re driving through the California coast! Our waitress was helpful and even offered a complimentary sample of their soup of the day while offering!
Wonderful vegan/vegetarian food. We ordered the vegan reuben, guac and chips and the dragon bowl. It was amazing, tasty and clearly made with love! They were out of a few items but we didn't mind that. On a side note, our server was super helpful. He offered recommendations on camping and grocery stores and they both turned out great as well.
Let’s say you only have one day in Arcata. You better be going to Wildflower! No matter your dietary preferences, Wildflower has you covered. The menu nearly overwhelmed me because everything is vegetarian/vegan! Staff are friendly and accommodating, and are happy to honor any requests. Specials are always rotating and always delicious. Can’t decide what to try? Our favourites are the Reuben, Super Nachos, and the French Toast!
My wife and I love to visit the Kneeland, Arcata, McKinleyville area whenever we can to visit our close friends. We were fortunate to have been invited to a wedding for the weekend and had a lovely time. While there we decided to visit the Wildflower Café. Great place for Vegan meals. The food is delicious, well priced and the servings are pretty much double what you would expect. My wife and I ordered breakfast and we were able to finish about half of our meals. I would recommend splitting any order on the menu. Very cool vibe and people that work there are into their job. Foodies for sure ☮️
All menu items can be made vegan 😍 the entire case of baked goods is vegan, too! Warm tofu scramble was perfect after camping. They offer a ton of hot sauce and plantmilk options, too. Seating setup is cozy and efficient. All staff were welcoming and attentive. Relaxed vibes, ofc. Definitely worth a stop!
Exceptional food, all around. The staff are great and it's a welcoming space. If I lived here I would go back all the time; their list of vegetarian & vegan dishes (all delicious that we've tried) is some of the best we've had.
Amazing service. The FOH is so knowledgeable about what they use and how things are cooked. Extremely easy to get food made to the most rigorous of dietary restrictions. Don't skip on the house made sauces or the house made hot sauce.
This place was so great I came back the very next day. Day 1 we got the vegan Mac and cheese and vegan McGriddle sandwich. Day 2 we got the vegan nachos and enchiladas. All four meals were delicious! Super flavorful, very large portions, fresh ingredients.
I highly recommend the Tempe tacos!! I initially thought two tacos would not be enough for me, but I was very satisfied. My tacos came with blue tortilla chips and salsa, also delicious! Best part was the melted cheese on the bottom.

Always a delicious experience! So many vegan options and tasty pastries! We always make a point to stop by when visiting the Redwoods.

Atmosphere and service were good, food was ok. I was disappointed in the mac and cheese. Nephew enjoyed his burger. It is ok, but not great.
Wholesome locally sourced wonderful meals. Place is definitely kids friendly although changing station could be provided. Staff was sweet & attentive they didnt mind our daughter toddlering around 🫠 Thank you for serving compassionate food!
I’d the golden milk and steamed veggies bowl. I loved the staff - they were friendly and accommodating! I just feel like I ordered all the wrong things! 😅 Next time, I’m going to try different, more popular dishes on the menu! 🙂
Great little local cafe with great vegetarian food option. Great for breakfast for sure. Haven't try their lunch and dinner yet. Orders do take a while to prepare, up to 30 mins depend on traffic.

For vegan food it was good but not outstanding. Mac and cheese had too much nutritional yeast. The salads were excellent. The Asian bowl was nice. Could have used some more dressing. I should have asked as I'm sure they would have given us more. The biscuits and gravy were bland. Could have used some black pepper kick.

I dislike a lot how some restaurants like this one you have to get up in line to order. What happened to the waitress ; coming to you to take your order? If I have to get up to order that would definitely be my last time coming. I'm not here to do other people's job. That's why I go to a restaurant to rest and eat. Not to their jobs. On top of that they ask for a tipping option, which I'm not sure why they want it if im doing it for them. I don't mind tipping if they come and serve me however it triggers me that they have that on when they doing half of their jobs. The food is not even that great. Place is small & quit expensive for a service like this. Once they "only" bring you the food they don't even check up on you anymore. This is why tipping should be ask afterwards dinning.

Just got to Wildflower Cafe and Bakery at 6pm today on Saturday when they should be open for dinner, however, they're closed. There's no notice on the door or anything about an emergency closing. The website and Google Maps both state that the restaurant should be open at 5:30pm for dinner. I also called them after arriving to the closed door, and the voicemail said they're open for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays. We're here for one night and after much research, settled on this restaurant...Waste of our time.
OMG! They hired the girl from Hey Juan's Burritos. The last time i went in to Hey Juan's she kicked and cussed and threw a tantrum because i walked in there. I came to Wildflowers thinking i can get a vegan option and look who was there. I still order food but won't come back because she was super rude as well
I hate writing this because I love this place and have been going for years, true accountability is important for small businesses. I purchased the potato-lentil hash but when I opened my order no potatoes....quite obvious since it's a POTATO-lentil hash, pictured so online as well. I called back and an employee told me no potato comes in the potato-lentil hash even though that is not true, he continued saying instead that the potatoes were mixed in with the lentils, not true...and if so since when? He then told me there was nothing he could do about it because the store was closing (2:50p) even though store is not closed. He did not even attempt to resolve the issue even though I mentioned I am a regular and get this all the time with potatoes - cut and cooked not mixed in the lentils. I am dissatisfied with the customer service especially when you see these people all the time, we are not in a big city like Sacramento. Needless to say I may have to take a break from Wildflowers, that was a bit of a turn off. Sorry 😞
