My family and I went camping for the weekend and before making the drive back home to Los Angeles County, we decided to get something to eat as we stumbled into this restaurant. As we stepped in, we were greeted and seated. We ordered 3 micheladas which are delicious and refreshing they make thier own mix. We then ordered 3 7 mares caldos 3 mini quesadillas kids meals and a fried fish plate with 2 horchatas and a jarrito. The 7 mares caldos were very tasteful full of flavor. I didn't put any condiments on my the caldo was perfect. We payed around $160 for all which is a very good price compared to other place ive been.
Authentic food and atmosphere. My favorite in the area and I have tried them all. The sauce that comes with the fish tacos is incredible and the fresh made salsa is perfect.
Best little mexican restaurant in Grover Beach. The bacon wrapped shrimp is the best!! And the lobster enchiladas with shrimp soup was delicious. Staff is very friendly and made sure everything was perfect. Gracias Villa del Mar!
Delicious authentic Mexican seafood. Owners really know what they are doing and will help you pick something you will love every time. A very unassuming and pleasant atmosphere. A real hidden gem.
This is an AMAZING place. If you come to pismo and you want some quality seafood you HAVE TO come here. Anyone that didn’t give 5starts review he/she probably has no clue what real Mexico food is!

Super good food and they will make anything you want, however you want it. The first time we came here it was just my husband and myself. We had an amazing custom order halibut dish and some fish tacos that were so tasty! Next, we brought our Grandsons (the hard to please kind). They loved their meal and although they spilled half, the Jamaica was delicious. Even with the spill, the staff was attentive, kind and efficient! We will be back!
We always come here when we want good Mexican Seafood or any other dish as well. The service is outstanding. He has such good memory, as soon as we walk in we are greeted with a smile and he says "Aguachile?" Which is my daughter's favorite dish. Try the fresh local dozen oysters, or the bacon wrapped shrimp. All the food is delicious. The restaurant is never empty....which says a lot.
I truly love the amazing feeling of family. Always a happy fun and best of all amazing food.
This is a regular spot for my friends and I especially during music season. The service is always excellent and the food is very fresh and delicious! I have tried more items than I can mention and have been pleased with all of them😋 A locals favorite and family owned and operated.
OK- This is what you call a diamond in the rough because there’s a lot of construction going on in Pismo at the moment and it’s so easy to drive by this restaurant… SO PLEASE DO NOT! If you’re looking for authentic Mexican Food - “dad is throwing down in the kitchen” HE IS! …Check This Place Out. The Chillaquiles & Albondigas are my favorites. Gerardo aka Lalo, is the front of the house and just such a cool dude! Aims to keep you entertained and always so hospitable. Try his cocktails too! Ufff… His sister makes the best Carrot Cake-occasionally. I can’t say enough good things about his place. It’s the epitome of a great DIVE BAR but it’s a restaurant! OH IM MEXICAN too so… ya I know good Mexican food. Lol!
Our server was amazing, service with a smile. The aguachiles were bomb. Probably my favorite michelada (homemade) that I've had, or at least as good as my previous favorite in CDMX. Their habanero salsa (ask for it) was unique and definitely NO JOKE.
Amazing fish Tacos and excellent customer service. The fish is flesh and tasty. We eat here almost every weekend. The people are super nice.

Quaint little seafood estilo Mexicano style dishes.. filled with flavor and a touch of home cooked love! Fresh made chip and salsa.. the octopus & fish tacos with the Chipotle sauce..and the campechana cocktail in a shell dish are delicious and a must have! Go by and try it for yourself! No need to listen to me. This place is worth the visit! I dont give five stars to anyone because there's always room for improvement. My reviews are my honest opinion. I always encourage that you find out for yourself. Never take someone's word as truth!😉
April 21, 2020 Covid quarantine take out order. Colorado burrito was good, huge, stuffed with alot of shredded beef. 2 beef tacos were also stuffed and delicious. Salsa with chips was spicy just how we like it. Beef enchilada plate was good, average. Restaurant looked clean, staff nice.
Visiting from Sacramento for our daughter's graduation from Cal Poly SLO. Food was good, great portions, service was good. 👍

Stopped in for a shrimp burrito for takeout and it was good. The fresh salsa and orange sauce they had was pretty tasty. Would recommend trying other items on the menu.

Went here yesterday for an early dinner. It was so loud I thought it must be a sports bar but there wasn't a TV that I could see. We could not hear each other talk. No chips & salsa. We asked for some and received a little basket with maybe 10 chips in it. He said that was all he could "scrape" up. My shrimp was good & my boyfriend liked the chile rellenos. We were the only people eating there but our waitress disappeared to sit with people at the bar after taking our order. Good food does not make up for horrible atmosphere. We won't be going back.

I was very dissatisfied. I went with my boyfriend on memorial weekend may 26 2019. And ordered the Chile Colorado. Is it very deceiving. It is not beef chunks and not the red sauce normally used. It is flank steak with another sauce and cilantro. Very disgusting. Not pleasing at all. I can't believe they have it on the menu. On top of that my boyfriend didn't want me to complain. He tried making me eat it. I tried my best but couldn't at all. So I ate salad and rice. Our meal was $33. So what I did was not complain at the time to not argue with my boyfriend inside the restaurant. I left still hungry. By the time I was able to go back and speak with the worker and manager. Nothing was done. Told me I should have complained earlier. They would have exchanged for a different plate. But I thought the customer is always right. I don't understand how you wouldn't give someone a refund. Knowing they are explaining why they couldn't at the time. This was a make up meal to begin with. Maybe I should have caused a scene but then we would have got kicked out. My relationship would have ended. So I'm out $15 and I will not ever return. Try taco del Mar up the street same side. Way better food. Especially the CHILE COLORADO MADE RIGHT!!! NO PICTURES OF THE TRASH SORRY. TOOK PLATE TO GO AS IF WE WERE GOING TO EAT IT LATER. SHOULD HAVE COMPLAINED.

Horriable service and horriable food. We waited 20 minutes just to be asked what we want to drink and another 20 min to take our order. After ordering we waited 1 hour and 5 minutes for our food. Asada burrito as dry and meat was hard. We had to go to the counter to ask for chips and salsa. All.our food did not come out together. So we basically didn't get toneat as a family!! HORRIABLE !!NEVER AGAIN!!!
Yesterday we did a taco trail yesterday all down grand avenue and all through Grover Beach. This was by far the worst taco I have ever had. Their pastor taco looked and tasted like watered down ground turkey with a small hint of pastor flavoring. It was $5 for a taco (only one other taco place had $5 tacos but they were actually a great taco), so we had high expectations for something so over priced, but then were terribly let down. I've never been offended by a taco before. It took an insane amount of time and was disrespectful to serve a tiny amount of meat on a big cold store bought tortilla with little-to-no onion and cilantro. I didn't know it was possible for a taco to put me in a bad mood, so I guess atleast this place taught me something about myself. I will add that they knew we had score cards to judge all the taco we were going to eat and they still did us dirty. I would have expected them to give us their best. We also looked at the menu and everything was WAY over priced.

If I could give it zero stars I would. Where to start! There was only one other table with 4 people, we sat down ordered something that should have been rather simple for any Mexican Chef, waited 40 minutes. Food was horrible, no flavor what's so ever. Rice is not authentic... surprised they are still in business.
