Was walking down the street came across this place has amazing pastries and good iced coffee will def be returning with my lap top for pastries and my lattes!

We love this coffee shop - kind and friendly staff, delicious cortados and lattes (and the Nutella banana bread is to die for). The space is also very relaxing and light-filled. Wonderful addition to the neighborhood!

Tried their pumpkin cream iced chai latte it was actually really good not too sweet perfect amount of pumpkin taste. Also tried their hazelnut croissant that was really good too

The Dubai chocolate cookie was soooo good! I need to try the other variety they have. Also really enjoyed the pistachio cream latte, will probably get it without the cold foam next time though.

Accidentally ended up here because i usually don't go into places rated less than 4.5 stars on google maps. The barista suggested his self-made personal favorite, a freddo espresso with honey, a splash of oat milk, and cinnamon topping, it was EXCELLENT and a great price! Will definitely stop by again.

Beautiful naturally lit space and decor. Excellent coffee, I tried a couple of pastries as well. All fresh and tasty. My daughter got a freshener drink that was great and didn’t taste like a cup of sugar! Definitely check this spot out!

I’ve been living in Astoria for the past 40 years, and I’ve never came across a place like the coffee lab. By far one of the best cups of coffee in the neighborhood

I been to many different coffee shops in the area and consider myself a coffee enthusiast and very picky haha. I don’t usually leave reviews but felt this placed deserved one for the fast service very kind employees and great tasting flavor I give it a 10/10 absolutely loved it . Will be stopping in more often and recommend anyone in the area to do so.

This super skibidi underground place is very sigma and my gyat both enjoyed it. My gyat ordered the pistachio cream latte and she absolutely aDOORerd it and i the alpha got the sigma frappe which was pretty good and what you expect from a scrumptious drink. I ended up passing by the Coffee Lab on their grand opening and it was great energy and service as well. I ordered two drinks, a tiramisu flavor latte and a mango refresher and both were really good. The guy at the register was so nice and they’re quick!! I think that was great for a grand opening i’ll definitely be a regular customer. 10/10 ambiance and excited to go back

I went opening day and I will definitely return. The coffee was so good and they have a ton of pastries & fresher drinks. The pastries tasted fresh and my niece got a purple fresher- she said it was the delicious!

This neighborhood has been in need of a good cafe for a while. They’re brand new, so don’t expect everything to be perfect, but their coffee and drinks are tasty and well priced. They have comfortable seating and WiFi, and are remote worker friendly. The staff is super friendly and are always smiling and asking for feedback. They’re a genuinely good vibe and I love coming here and seeing their growth in our community.

Any place that stays open during a snow blizzard deserves a 5 star. Service is great, and I love their loyalty program.

Stopped in to try one of their specialty drinks and their passion fruit matcha is to die for!!! Highly recommend, they also have an ube coconut cookie and some unique cheesecake flavours. Definitely worth a try!

This cozy coffee spot, tucked away at the corner of 35th and 31st Streets, is perfect for a quiet, productive session—whether you’re working remotely or tackling school assignments. The coffee is great; I’ve enjoyed both the Freddo espresso and cappuccino. They also offer delicious pastries to pair with your drink. I highly recommend checking it out—I came back for a reason!

Lovely interior and great atmosphere. I like how the doors fully open and you can sit inside While still enjoying a nice breeze on a beautiful day. I got a regular coffee and I thought it was….okay. Their specialty drinks looked a lot better, but I expect a café to have great regular coffee. They also don’t offer any real mugs, even if you are having your drink to stay, only to go cups. I may come back, but I will try to order a cappuccino or something next time.

When this place was opening I rolled my eyes yay another coffee place. I didn’t get it I finally tried it and the staff was so nice but the speciality coffees iced w the foam are delicious. What’s in that foam? It’s like meringue. I had the coconut latte iced and added vanilla cuz the barista suggested it. Yum. And the pistachio iced latte. Tastes like Dubai chocolate in coffee form. So good! It can get really busy at the tables during the day. Everyone sits w their laptops for hours Outdoor seating available but lots of groups of guys hang out there fyi. They are harmless but loud

Astoria isn’t lacking in coffee shops but it’s still nice to see when a new one opens. Coffee Lab is located on the quiet corner of 31st Avenue and 34th Street in Astoria. This is a great place to hang out, work or just people watch. The space isn’t huge but the floor to ceiling windows that opens out into the street makes for a very bright and welcoming space. There is free Wifi, plenty of seating (inside and outdoor), really good coffee and friendly staff. Their menu mainly consists of hot & cold drinks and pastries. And prices are comparable with other cafes in Astoria. If you happen to be in this part of the neighborhood, definitely try them out. Tip: Wifi password is TheCoffeeLab3420

The place is really nice and fancy. The drinks are great if the it isn’t the female cashier with the long hair . She is slow and doesn’t listen as you have to repeat yourself and even then she won’t get your order right , especially the size of the drink and or how you want it made , milk sugar etc. what is worse is that she does it with an attitude and rolls her eyes at you in front of you . Other than the cashier with the very long black hair mind you she is dealing with food and drinks , The rest of the staff is great

I had high expectations for this place after reading google reviews. And hyped it up to my sister after seeing Instagram reels about great coffee drinks. so we drove from Bayside to Astoria to get coffees. Sorry to say that it was disappointing. The barista’s are not friendly or attentive at all. And I will think before going back again. Have gone twice now, and both times have been charged wrong and wrong drink was entered into system. Ironically by the same person both times. First time, I ordered a small hot drink and was charged for a large iced drink. Had to correct the barista after it was rung up. I was not offered a refund for the difference, nor did I ask for it. And still left a 15% tip. Chalked it up to an honest mistake made late in the evening and could live with losing a dollar or two to a local business. Second time, ordered iced pistachio cream latte. Barista asks how do you want this drink? I answered exactly how it’s usually made. Barista-Pistachio milk or syrup? I’m not sure of the question, I would like it however you usually make it, the standard recipe. Ok, proceeds to put ice cubes in a cup with a few pumps of syrup. And leaves the cup on the counter where I wait 7+ minutes for my one cup of iced latte. Grab the barista’s attention Hi, still waiting for my coffee? And sorry, but I think you rung it up wrong. I ordered the pistachio cream latte, not a 16oz iced latte and add pistachio syrup. Barista Oh, ok. You have to come back to the counter and pay the difference for the drink. Ok. I go back to the register where barista proceeds to charge me an extra $.33 for the difference in the drink prices. But now I feel compelled to let them know this is the second time in a matter of days that they’ve screwed up my orders. And I’m now waiting 10 minutes for an iced latte. After all the back and forth I finally get the drink I ordered. The barista apologized by offering a complimentary pastry. However, I recommend to have a lot of patience and low expectations when visiting this shop.

Great coffee, lovely space but dude on register today who felt like texting on the job was pretty important while on the register. That felt revolting because he couldn’t listen and text at the same time. Enjoyed repeating my order because his texting was too imperative at point of sale. Girl barista was great and diligent.

The place is very open, bright and inviting, clean and perfect vibe for getting work done. Unfortunately that’s where it ends - my strawberry matcha was sour and tasted nothing like strawberry matcha (maybe the milk was bad??) and when the guy remade it, it still didn’t taste very good and he forgot the strawberry. I also got the iced lemon loaf and it wasn’t bad but wasn’t great either. I did like the actual space though so I’m open to coming back and trying a different type of drink and pastry next time. But I definitely want them to improve on their matcha and iced lemon loaf; with prices this high I’m expecting high quality and I just didn’t get that from them unfortunately.

Coffee is good interior looks nice and clean but service is HORRIBLE HORRIBLE AND super 🐌. I love coffee shops generally and I love trying new things but here they definitely better crews and someone who will know how to manage and stuff.

The drizzle was so thick and stuck to the side of the cup that you can barely taste it in the drink. When you try to mix it in , it’s clumpy in your drink. I don’t recommend this flavor however there’s many others to choose from that look good.

Awful taste in coffee and pastry. I get that it was in the middle of the day but then throw out your pastries if they’re going to be hard and inedible. Coffee was very very bad. Atmosphere felt something out of a dystopian movie

Crazy ripoff for green tea. $5 for a mass market teabag in hot water. Can't even lie and empty it out into a jar. The coffee is unremarkable. The decor is nasty; sterile white everything like it's 2012. In a neighborhood full of so many different strong ethnic communities, this corpo-wannabe spot seems to revel in it's sterile, ugly operating room aesthetic. Skip this gentrifying nonsense. You're better getting burnt coffee from the bodega a block away.

My wife and I ordered a matcha latte and chai latte with almond milk and let me tell you, what we got was anything BUT a chai or matcha. It was water with color. Disgusting 🤮. We couldn’t even force our selves to finish it. How can someone serve water with color and think they’re rocking with latte? This place ain’t gonna last open, just saying!

I had high expectations, but unfortunately the service provided by the staff was very poor. I have no intention of returning, as I believe there are better options in Astoria.

I did not like my cappuccino. It had a bad flavor. I've had better cappuccinos at Dunkin Donuts. Maybe it depends who makes it. Plus the medium size is more like a small. Not going back.

Do not order coffee or food here. Staff is half asleep. I just ordered a prosciutto sandwich and iced coffee. Out came my order faster than I would expect for a freshly made sandwich so I asked to confirm if this was my order. I was told yea yea. Get home and find out it’s cold brew and strawberry chocolate croissant thats completely tossed apart in the box. Crazy bad service. $20 btw.

I don’t know if it’s just me getting older, but people don’t seem happy at work. They work without any enthusiasm. The tables are dirty, and there are no ceramic cups.

I came one time and it was bad but never left a review, came back today to have a worse experience. No comments need to be made, the staff knows how lazy they were and how they did not communicate well regarding how long was gonna take for the food to be ready. I could say much more but I prefer to not even mention certain things.

My pastry was good & coffee was good but the service was horrible & frustrating. We ordered at 5:03p and got our final orders at 5:27p, my friend got the wrong sandwich & my other friend got the wrong size coffee. We didn't even bother asking to change it because we were already aggravated so we just took it & left. The woman behind the counter was crying because the guy was yelling at her, they got into an argument in front of everyone for some reason. The whole thing was unprofessional & uncomfortable to watch. People just hire whoever these days so I guess it's somewhat normal smh.

For a place that calls themselves the coffee lab, we were not impressed. We ordered the peppermint mocha and barley tasted the peppermint. We even swirled it around but still nothing. And the coffee we ordered was supposed to be hot but I would say it was Luke warm at best. Very mid.
