Nice little place. The chef was really sweet and patient. He suggested options as per our requirements and and even made changes as requested. The quantity of food was unbelievable. You can eat till your neck, haha.The food is really great. You won't get disappointed.. price , quantity and service. Everything is awesome. Thanks for great guys! Keep doing awesome! Cheers.

Food is always decent. Don’t take account into other reviews where people talk out “flavor” like this is some high dining hibachi facility. It’s just a regular Chinese takeout place where food would be good, you’ll get timely delivery and more than anything else it won’t put a hole in your wallet. If you are looking for “food experiences” or a “flavor” that’ll match some place where you dropped 50$, look elsewhere!

The shrimp is huge and sweet everything's piled high!! Alot of veggies cooked perfectly. I asked for spicy and I got spicy! Finally a place that cares what you want. They give you a lot of food for the money and they're very nice people..

Ordered via Grubhub earlier tonight ~8:30PM. I've never had American-chinese where you can taste subtle flavors and aromas. Hot and sour soup was divine. I adore the mushrooms they use. Egg rolls were crispy and yummy. Curry Chicken combo was packed heartily. Great portions for the price. I loved it. Hopefully it wasn't just a fluke!

An amazing restaurant to say the least. I was welcomed with a friendly, social environment, and served with smiles on the cashiers face. Cleanliness is clearly maintained as well. The food deserves its own section. The sesame chicken paired with the rice and dumplings made an exceptional combination, not to mention the extremely fair prices as well. Truly a 10/10 experience, 100% recommend!

Have been ordering take out from golden house for years. Always great take out! Moved from Astoria to Florida about 9 years ago... Can't seem to get 'decent' chinese take out in Florida. Always get my NYC Chinese take out fix whenever I visit the old hood!

We love getting Golden House for anything quick and easy! Food is always consistent, and the turnaround for orders is quick. Portions are large and they run generous lunch specials 7 days a week. And the owners are nice! 😁 Highly recommend the shrimp har gow!

Was in a bind and happened by luck to see this place. On a Sunday afternoon with a packed street fair outside in search of some food, this restaurant was busy and clean. Took a chance, ordered the beef with garlic sauce, no corn starch and well steamed veggies. Takeout. Gave it to the toughest food critic... my 20 month old picky toddler who eats only flavorful tender meat and properly seasoned veggies. If the cooking is slightly off, here comes mini-Gordon Ramsey... spitting of the food following by his screams. Verdict? He devoured the beef. Then proceeded to finish the veggies. I tasted it myself. The beef sliced well, tender, right amount of seasoning. Garlic sauce is done right, not too salty and not overpowering, the veggies were steamed nicely. I can see why my son devoured it. You guys saved my butt. The food at Sugar Freak isn't that great, my son refuse to eat anything there. You guys earn my 5/5 stars.

I expect possibly or dyed red Halibut fish as imitation crab, but hunks or red lard is not acceptable. I called restaurant to express disappointment & they blamed me. Will never order from this restaurant again. And Chinese food with no fortune cookies? Not acceptable.

First time customer and hoped for the best as there is no shortage of Chinese take out in Astoria. Unfortunately I ordered a staple dish, Hunan chicken with brown rice combination. What I received was a dish with an excessive amount of synthetic, tasteless and elastic chicken. The vegetables were limited and sparse, yet the amount of chicken made me suspect even before trying the dish. Most take out places will skimp on the expensive ingredients like the meat. My dish was the opposite and as I suspected this was due to the rather poor quality of the meat. I threw most of it away. Disgusting. After living in Flushing off Main street and having access to authentic Chinese, this was just a meager, poverty-stricken attempt at ghettoized, knock off Chinese. Pathetic.
