Best Sicilian in queens, fast delivery and great employees.
I eat here for 45 years! Great all around the best Sicilian
Great food, been coming here for years.
Best pizza in Queens NY. Delivered right on time and still hot
Love this place! Quick and yummy pizza writhing walking distance!
Pizza was great and their service was quick. Also, no minimum for credit cards rich is a plus.
Best eggplant pizza I had in my life!!! Garlic knots loaded with flavor!!!
The Best Pizza Shop!!! Chicken Rolls are to DIE for!!! Everything about this place is amazing!!
The pizza is *chef kiss* 😩❤️ I LOVE THE SAVORY FLAVOR OF THE PIZZA 🍕
The best slice in the neighborhood, there for 50 years. Nuff said
Delicious food with amazing quality!! Excellent service!!!
Solid pizza, super fast delivery and excellent customer service! Will be our go to for any pizza cravings.
One of the best pizza places since I was a kid!
Stopped in for lunch for a quick bite , great pizza in the heart of astoria , family owned , super friendly , will come back for sure
I go here often just cause they have some of the best pizza, they have a wide variety, and they don't just have pizza, they have other Italian dishes too🍕I recommend💯❗
Solid Pizza Slice. Good local spot to grab some pizza for a game or on the go.
Dave Portnoy was right - this place rocks. But what you might not realize is a very hidden secret that I apologize for revealing - their cannolis will melt your mouth and you’ll probably never go to a different place for a cannoli again
Great service! Awesome pizza! They have a nutella slice I'm going to try next!
Best pizza in Astoria,an old classic pizza doesn't get better than this
Excellent pizza! Minestrone soup was sublime. Very friend atmosphere. Highly recommended!
Great pizza, super friendly owner! Come support a long running family business!
We’ve been going here since I was 2 years old. I’m now 22. WE LOVE IT!
Good pizza and ample seating to hang out. A little pricy, but understandable considering the area.
This my childhood pizzeria. Been going here since 1990. Still the best!!!!
Been coming here since a child, I'll most likely make a bias opinion. Pizza is alright, pepperoni bites are great, garlic knots great too, and other food options I can't really give a rate since I've only tried the previous options my whole life and always compare other pizzarias to this childhood one.
Best service best taste of pizza and best marinara sauce. sometimes forget things like sauce when delivering. but not a big deal still best pizza in Astoria. Guys working there are very friendly. Thanks..
I literally just got homesick from living around the corner from this place and wanted to leave a review because I felt bad I haven’t. Great pizza, the buffalo chicken in particular.
Wow... I mean what took me so long to find this spot. My new go to spot for anything related to heroes and parmigiana. Ordered an eggplant Parm and i was amazed on how perfect the bread was, toasty and crusty. Good amount of sauce and just every bite hit home like it was the 90’s again and a Parm Heroe wasn’t hard to find. Well done Grand Ave! I’ll be back NO DOUBT!
Grand Avenue makes the best classic NY slice around. Definitely recommend any pie they make and some garlic knots. So good!
You walk by and think hey it's a pizza place but your wrong. This place is an original classic in Astoria where the owner and staff make there food with love and dedication. They got a huge selection of choices for food. Big area in the back to sit and eat and relax, TVs as well so you can watch the game.
Great place in Astoria. They make absolutely amazing New York pizza, Delivery was quick and easy, and it is a very easy to fold and eat.
They have good tasting pizza. They also were very big. We were greeted by friendly staff. Fast service. Reasonable price.
Really good Pizza overall. Their Vodka slice is excellent, it comes topped with macaroni, not just vodka sauce like many pizzerias.
Old School pizza place! Been there for ever and the quality is the same....amazing! Delivery is always on time but I do recommend to eat the pizza there! Warm and crispy out of the oven!
Great food and stuff are wonderful. Definitely , recommend this pizzeria to anybody and family friends.
Everytime i go there and have a slice. It’s always so good, toasted just right. I hate a soggy slice and definitely not over sliced
Amazing service, great pizza!! I would definitely recommend it, best in Astoria Hands down!
A legit NYC Pizza place! Great Slice, a beef patty with cheese or a Rice ball these guy are holding the NYC traditions strong for a good price and fast service.
Never tasted any better sicilian pizza than the one they make. Soft, tastes fresh, juicy and cheesy.
Delicious Pizza and Italian dishes. Plenty of fabulous helpers to process your order.
Since I moved to Astoria, Grand Ave has been my go-to pizza place! I love all of their pizza slices, and their sausage rolls are delicious. Service is always impeccable and the staff are all so friendly!
Garden slice is amazing, so are most of the others I tried... I just moved from the Bronx and I finally found my go to pizza place in Astoria... Staff is great ... Service is great.. delivery is fast and food is always hot and delicious when it gets to my apartment
When i lived in astoria this was my go to place, but now that im living in boston i make sure to get a slice whenever im back home or else the trip just isnt complete. Supporting a local family buiness is a huge bonus too
Best pizza in Astoria! Always great with toppings, and they do great sandwiches and even the calamari. My go-to here is the buffalo chicken pizza, and their spinach artichoke slices are amazing as well. Good people.
Buffalo chicken slice and eggplant slice get a 10/10 from me! Must try, you won’t regret it!!!! I’d post a photo but it was too good to stop and take a pic.
For sure one of the best pizza shops in Astoria clean great taste ! Traditional perfect amount of ingredients in every slice
Pizza is immaculate .. you can tell the sauce is made with love . Although I love toppings the plain slice is my favorite and unmatched . Just found it and will be going back every time I get the crave for some good NY pizza
This is my childhood pizzeria! Ive been coming here since the early 2000's and even though I have moved, I always make sure to stop by and grab a slice when I'm in Astoria. The workers are my favorite, they are always happy and wanting to help and chat
Best pizza in queens ! Bruschetta slice & buffalo chicken is my favourite
Consistent for decades, amazing speciality pizza varieties . Penne vodka slice is elite.
I had a pepperoni pizza was not expecting much, but was pleasantly surprise that the dough was thin and the crust was great. Sauce was on point. Usually its too sweet but this one was right.
The best pizza place! I’ve been a customer for 10 years now, never had any issues. I used to primarily get takeout before covid, now I get delivery. Service is great, pizza arrives fresh. Really friendly staff.
Grand Avenue Pizza serves a great NYC slice! The crust strikes the perfect balance between chew and crisp, giving it a satisfying bite every time. The sauce and cheese are spot-on, making each slice delicious. Prices are very reasonable for New York, with a traditional slice at just $3.25. If you’re looking for an authentic New York pizza experience without breaking the bank, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend!
I ate here the other day and it’s now my go to pizzeria in town, and I’ve tried many other places around. The buffalo slice is delicious and you can’t go wrong with the plain either. Not to mention the staff were great too! Definitely give this place a try if you haven’t already, trust me you won’t be disappointed.
Easily one of the best neighborhood pizzerias in the area. Tons of variety, reasonable pricing, and always top notch customer service from this family run spot. Personal favorites are the buffalo chicken slices or spinach riceballs, but rest assured anything you get here will hit the spot. If you’re in the area, definitely give this place a try.
Best pizza in the area, fast service, large slices, affordable and very helpful staff! We have pizza here all the time! The quality is great, the prices reasonable, service is fast and the staff is friendly. Slices are large and I am usually full with only 2 of them. The garlic knots are delicious, definitely try! We always drop our little plastic container with Marinara sauce (for the garlic knots) and the staff is never annoyed when we go back for a substitute
Small place with plenty Seating area, the stuff is very friendly, pizza its awesome. The beef party I know they domt make it in the house but not good. Just because they don't make it I still give them a 5 starts, I did tell the stuff in the restaurant helpfully they get a different source. Chicken roll was really good.a little smaller than other places but you get a lot more flavor. The minestrones soup as other reviews say it is super super good. Most try.
Really good pizza, good location, lots of variety. A little more spendy per slice.
Eggplant Parmigiana slice and Pepperoni Bacon are my go-to. Very good, and the guys working there are very nice.
Close by and has good pizza! A little expensive, but what in NYC isn't?
Layout/atmosphere *Tables in back Food/drink *Buffalo chicken slice - Good
One of the best old time Pizza 🍕 places. Over 30 years. Everyone is always very nice and good Pizza
Whenever I go to Astoria, this place is the spot for pasta and pizza. The employees there are nice and know how to make your pasta the way you want it. I recommend the buffalo pizza with a side of pepperoni bites. The salad is handmade and so is the cal zone. Con- Not enough beverage selections.
Nice place if you want to eat some fast food. Mostly Latin cuisine, but you can find afordable pizzas as well. Considering the fact that there are not too many pizzerias on 30th Avenue in Astoria, this could be a good option.
Pizza is thin crust and ingridients are top quality. Pizza was very tasty. They appear to have good foot traffic. I saw customers going going in and out while I was eating inside 👍😋
Get yourself a solid slice of pizza at Grand Avenue Pizza. The place is clean and the staff is sharp. I got no complaints about this place
I like it. Their sauce is good and even though the slices are thicker than traditional NY style, they are crispy. My partner thinks it’s okay but I have no complaints. Might try again and edit.
Not many good pizza shops left in Astoria. Growing up here I was able to find great pizza in the neighborhood ex.. the original Frankie's, but as time has gone by and the rents have skyrocketed they have dissapeared. When I asked where can I go to find a good slice of pizza I was told to go here by my brother. Other than the sauce needing a little more salt it will suffice.
Great pizza. Most of their slices were gone. I did choose the last slice of their white (Ricotta) pizza & a pepperoni n mushroom slice. Both were very delicious. I'm sad where we live... we can't get the white pizza locallyat our pizza shops. Their sausage roll was super yummy and had a lot of flavor. Would definitely visit it again when I visit my son, who lives in that neighborhood.
Though this isn’t my favorite pizza on 30th Ave the price and toppings are great. I love the meatball and jalapeño (I order double jalapeños) slices. The only do take out and delivery but it is a cool no frills old school kind of space.
Grand Avenue Pizza on 30th Ave in Astoria is a true neighborhood gem, I lived here for years and I just found out about this place. I can’t believe I missed it this whole time .serving up some of the best pizza in Queens since 1965. This family-run spot is known for its fast, friendly service and consistently delicious food. Whether you’re grabbing a quick slice or ordering a full pie, you can always count on quality ingredients and great flavors. The pizza here is classic New York style—thin, crispy, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of cheese and sauce. Their buffalo chicken and spinach artichoke slices are standout favorites, and the garlic knots are a must-try. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and everything is made fresh. Beyond the pizza, Grand Avenue also offers fantastic sandwiches, pastas, and even calamari, making it more than just your average slice shop. The staff is welcoming, and the atmosphere feels like home—perfect for a casual meal with friends or a late-night bite. With its long-standing reputation and loyal customer base, it’s easy to see why Grand Avenue Pizza remains a go-to spot in Astoria. Whether you’re a longtime local or just visiting, this place delivers a true New York pizza experience that never disappoints.
Ordered just two regular slices and mozarrella sticks. Excellent mozarella sticks. Very cheesey. Evident in the video. Marinara sauce compliments eat bite well. Pizza was tastey. Foldability and crust were excellent. Crust had a decent amount of crunchiness, fluffiness and chewiness. Shout out to the sweet sauce. Other specialty slices looked really good. We shall try again.
Service was fast and friendly but the food wasn't great. Cheese pizza was ok, chicken calzon was good, the beef pattie was not good but just like the reviews say the minestrone soup was really good. They have a large selection of pizza slices and a medium size seating area in the back. Parking around the area can be tricky. There is no parking structure only street parking.
Grandma slice was not good at all. All dense dough, no sauce. Tasted like pizza with no love Cheese slice .. meh
Pizza is a little on the pricey side, but better than most other places. When you walk in its a quiet little place with enough space to sit down and still have room around you to relax. They bring you the food too which is awesome. I ordered with my friends a plain slice, a penne slice, a meat lover slice, garlic knots, and a sausage calzone. The penne slices were enormous and the garlic knots were packed with flavor. Plain pizza was decent, not outstanding and not very greasy which was good. The calzone's cheese could have tasted better. The sausage was very thin and I barely tasted it. The bread was the same as the one used to make their pizza so nothing special. The calzone was a disappointment. I'd come back here in the future only if I happened to want pizza and was nearby.
My go-to pizza place in the neighborhood. Fast, cheap, and friendly service. Get the bruchetta slice! Fresh tomatoes, onions, basil, drizzled with olive oil. So good!!
This place used to be awesome - maybe the best in the neighborhood - and then just fell off out of nowhere. The entire staff changed and the quality of the food went in the toilet.
got a 14in cheese pizza. the crust was too thick and doughy. a shame. i read the good reviews and wasn’t expecting this.
I was hoping to like the pizza here, especially because of the reviews but to be honest the food was bland. We ordered 2 regular pies. Everyone at the table said the pizza was doughy and had no flavor. The guys at the shop were fast and nice but maybe it was an "off" day.
They forgot the tomato sauce on one of my pies. Absolutely unacceptable, do not recommend.
Charged me $26 for an extra cheese pizza when he said it was $23. Never going back
Never received my food and pizza employees were rude and didn't understand me when I told them the address
This place is laughably bad. we ordered 3 slices for delivery and since they couldn't fit 3 full slices inside one box, they actually made on of the slices about half the size of the other two. WHAT? WHO DOES THAT? On top of that, the pizza was god awful. sad stuff really.
The employees are plain out rude. We that’s tried from 3 phones to call to order a pizza and the guy on the phone is telling us he can’t hear us. He later makes an excuse he has been getting calls all day so it’s not his fault. Never going to order from this pizzeria again!! And I also advice you not to.
Dear Manager / owner , I am writing this as I think it is important that you know. The who answers the phone (Saturday 20:30) put me on hold then hung up. I called another time and said he can’t hear me and hung up again. And a third and then a fourth! At the 5th call I asked for his name and I was craving food from your place - and he would not give it to me (that part he heard weirdly) - You just lost a loyal customer and who orders at least twice a week from your place. I manage a catering business in midtown and none of my staff would ever dare answer that way to customer - let alone a persistent customer who really wanted to eat.
Note to management: It would be great if the pizza display were more hygienic. Having cash near food could compromise food safety. The pizza is delicious, but the experience would be even better with extra attention to cleanliness! According to New York City’s Health Code (Article 81), keeping money close to food can pose a cross-contamination risk. Cash can carry harmful microorganisms, so it’s recommended that staff wash hands and change gloves after handling it. These practices are essential to prevent the spread of pathogens and keep the establishment compliant with health standards. For more information, refer to the NYC Department of Health.
Just wanted to give a quick heads up that your insane increase on prices on Slice has made me stop ordering from you guys completely. You went from the great underrated pizza spot in the neighborhood to the usual greedy business that couldn't resist a few extra bucks and is now losing out probably more than you think due to your dumb greedy decisions.
