Casual atmosphere, great wait staff. Wine maker on call and is very friendly and laid back. There's a tasting room attached to the restaurant. Had the Mahimahi tacos. Great tasting with the Picpoul Blanc.

Marvelous food and attentive service are just 2 of the reasons we like this restaurant so much. We just ate there and the grilled mahi mahi was out of this world. They served it with 3 delicious dipping sauces, rice and seasonal vegetables. I absolutely am addicted to their macaroni salad and I always have to get some when we come here. My husband had teriyaki chicken and it was beyond delicious also. Highly recommended!

My husband and I spent a lovely evening here. The food was delicious, the wine was delicious, we had very attentive and gracious service even while the restaurant was busy. We also enjoyed the atmosphere, really quality furniture and a calm clean environment, cool dishes too. Everything seemed very considered to deliver a great experience, and we will definitely be back to try more amazing food from this menu!

Praise report! A big group of us went to Kula Kitchen last night. It was so good! We all got different things and everyone loved their meals. We had one friend that only eats fish and one friend who does not eat fish, and everyone was able to find something they like. Great variety! Our server, James, was super friendly and attentive. Average price per after tax and tip was around $45 each, which to me is very reasonable. If you haven't been there, you need to go!

First off, the entire facility is beautiful. There’s a tasting room and a restaurant. The food was so unique and filled with interesting favors. Delicious!!! The atmosphere is very new, still not much art on the walls, but that comes with time. The server was very good and tended to our every need. Their wines are all Kula Wine which are. Very tasty as well. You must try the cuisine and let the owners tell you about their ideas, makes for a wonderful dinner!

My first time at Kula was a welcome surprise. After a few friends told me about their positive experiences, I randomly popped in for a business lunch. The menu was diverse and I was tempted by so many of the dishes. I finally settled on the pork tacos but when my friend ordered the ahi bowl, I changed my mind until our server suggested we order both and share. That was my wisest decision of the day. The pork tacos were savory with meat piled high on each of the three tacos. The ahi bowl was done to perfection with rice, slaw, edamame and tasty chunks of sushi grade ahi. Service was attentive without being intrusive. The restaurant's atmosphere is very inviting and that front outdoor eating area will be a delight on a warm Atascadero evening this summer. I'll be back for dinner to try some additional menu items.

So if you're in town and want to try something different than the normal fare you usually find, I'd highly recommend dining here. Oh, and I have to mention their wines that they make are also excellent and have won numerous gold medals so you can't go wrong their either!

Excellent new restaurant. Yall, their fried chicken is THE BEST. I mean, we are talking world class level. I'm going to kick all of you in the shins with pointy shoes if you don't go there right away- I need this chicken in my life for the foreseeable future! Also had the poke bowl, which was very good. Very nice people, great open space, will be back many times.

Second time coming here and the food is genuinely really good, no complaints there. The only odd experience was when we tried to pay in cash and our server said they had no change for us… So were basically forced to pay with card. I’ve never had that happen at a restaurant before and it felt a little strange/uncomfortable. Overall still a good spot for food, just wish the payment situation was handled better.
