no drive thru makes for a better sonic! Sonics in Oklahoma and texas, at least some, have no.drive thru but better service including courtesy trays and really tymmy flavored drinks!

I’ve been to this Sonic several times and it’s always been good. My order has been correct every time and I’ve never had to wait long. The staff are always friendly and come out to my vehicle with a smile. All of the food is prepped exactly how I’m used to and it’s hot. No complaints and I’ll keep coming back
This location was great. It was open later than another location closer to me. Also, when we arrived it was busy, but they got our order out quick. The carhop was nice and friendly. The Blast was good and had plenty of toppings. Overall I will return to this location even though I live closer to another one.
Food was good as always. Got a double cheeseburger, pickle fries, strawberry shake with oreo bits added and blue Hawaiian/peach slush. All of it was great.
Pleasantly surprised when I got my cold brew this morning with the sweetest employee named Moses took my order and was just as sweet when he brought it out. Great manners and actually seemed like he enjoyed his job. It was great to see.
I received a Sonic gift card and decided to get a orange slush-float. At first, the cashier didn't know what I wanted and only recommended a cream slush. We laughed and talked a little ole skool when I realized, I could order an orange slush and a dish of vanilla ice cream, so I returned to the kiosk to order just that. I've ordered 2 since then and guess what, I have $3.42 left on this gift card. If you have not tried a slush-float, (not cream-slush) you'll need to sip a little off the top before dumping dish of vanilla ice cream in it. Do not stir it, just sip and grab a little ice cream with it until finally when you sip, you'll get ice cream inside the straw😄❤ Enjoy!
Tired of seeing commercial for new fries, so went and had an order of groovy fries. They were very good. Will be getting more
I love happy hour! Their mozzarella sticks with ranch is the BOMB Made fresh every time! I love when you bite into them a little splash of grease squirts out 👌🏻💕 quite exquisite
It was half-price burger night and I ordered a cheeseburger with no bun and they served it perfectly. I'm trying to do low-carb and even though this isn't the healthiest thing you could eat, whoever made this did a fantastic job, and it helped me stay on track today.
The staff here are all consistently pleasant and do their jobs well. The food is consistently Sonic. I've been going here for a little over 3 years now and have not noted any kind of corners cut in service or food.

I hope Sonic never gets rid of the Smash burgers. OMG! They're the BEST burgers on the menu. I have never been a fan of Sonic burgers until they added the smash burgers to the menu. And the groovy fries, YUM! I have yet to be disappointed when I have this meal. The car hop was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed before we drove off.
The person taking my order was very polite and pleasant. She paid attention to detail with my order so that when I got it....which was very quickly I might add....it was correct! All of the carhops were very fast and efficient AND had smiles on their faces. Come to find out, the girl who took my order?.... was the MANAGER! kudos to you ma'am, keep up the great work, nice to see a manager who physically helps her team succeed! VERY impressed!
Young man that takes our order and delivers it has been very polite and thoughtful. Never forgets the extras that we might possibly ask for.

This is a wonderful hometown Sonic. The newer Sonic on 380 not far from here is taking a lot of the customers away. Therefore, the employees are a little grumbled. However, when it is hometown week, they get as excited as ever. The food you order--make sure you ask for it to be made FRESH. They will oblige you! Go Sonic AUBREY DOWNTOWN.
Its your typical Sonic. The fries weren't as fresh as I'd like but they were fresh enough to not complain. My order came out incorrect but the waiter was so nice and pleasant about making it right. Everything was really good.
Pretty good service! Definately has improved since my visits early last year. Typically pretty fast and we've only had 1 issue with our order.. got an unsweet tea instead of a sweet, but they quickly corrected the issue and were very apologetic!
Food is normally fresh and made to order which why we come to this location on 377 in Aubrey. However, very skimpy on amount of Oreos in the blast. Its basically all vanilla ice cream w a few sprinkled on top. I’ll indicate extra Oreos next time. Just hope it’s not an extra charge.
Food came out quick. But burger wasn't hot. The fries were fresh. The drink tasted like carbon. I stopped there after a 2 hrs. trip. Check food before leaving. No napkins either. The car hop was very polite. He didn't expect a big tip for a small order
I ordered Cheeder Pepperea with ranch. Outcomes cheeder peppers no ranch. Ask for ranch...thay bring me marinara. Can y'all slow down jusg a bit and bring me what I asked for the first time?
Sometimes they get my order right, sometimes they don't. It's a toss up with them for sure. Sometimes I have to ask more than once to put the right amount of sauces in with my order, sometimes I don't. It really is 50/50 with them.
Fast service, but person taking the order was rude when we were trying to explain what type of coupon we had. Totally unneeded.
This Sonic used used to be the best Sonic in the area but things have been slipping lately. Hamburgers are now getting thrown together, sometimes you have to wait forever and even have gotten cold food. That being said, they are still 100 % better than Pilot Point's Sonic!
The last two times I surprised my family with ice cream it has been horrible. The ice cream is so gritty tasting you can barely eat it. For a restaurant that boasts about their ice cream, they need to get this fixed
I am sad to say it was not very good, chicken was cold even the okra was cold, only thing hot was the biscuit. Most likely won't drive all the way over there for cold food again
Foods good but due to the fact that everything, all the way down to the peppermint,I mean hell I even ordered the number 22.3 Styrofoam cup, meal hold the everything with extra Styro, and without fail heartburn so bad just like the whole menu does me that, I actually was just passing through while flipping off the sonic logo and his mama!!!!!

It is a chain. Quality expected from a chain. Service is good. Use the app to order and you can't go wrong. They tend to pack the drinks with too much ice, so if you want to have more then a few good swigs, you may want to order "easy ice". Another benefit of ordering using the app is you get half price drinks all day.
There is someone who answers the intercom that sounds like she is in a bad mood all the time. She has a bit of an attitude as well. I understand having a bad day, I really do, but I also work in customer service and I know that you still need to be kind and courteous. It makes me not want to go there again.
They need to work harder at the kitchen, orders are always cold
Cooker placed cheese half on the meat patty, other half completely hanging off. I told the car hop to tell him slow down in a joking way.. she said we have a lot of burger order right now 👎👎
Sub par for a Sonic... Footlong coney was terrible, stale bun and burnt dog. The weak extra lime limeade was a let down. Pretty sure it was just Sprite didnt even have a lime in it. Blast icecream was good. I use to love coming here... plenty of other good places to go intown...
Today will be the second time I've come and had to sit for over 10mins after pushing the "red button"(then had to push it again) for anyone to respond. Very frustrating to see people who pulled in way after me being able to place an order right away.

It’s been pretty off when I’ve gone for kiddos some of the times visiting. I’ve driven further to a different location because of it when this’s what they want.
They never get my order right so we just order everything plain and dry and go home and fix em right. So frustrating wish they would get some decent people to work there. Sometimes they can't even get plain and dry right. Update Once again they screwed it up. Order a bacon burger #3 this time I gamble and order with condiments. May, must, pickle only. Got home no bacon. What a rip off! Called manager as directed I think he was about 19 and really didn't care. Oh well hope others have better luck. 12/3/2020 Perfect order! BRAVO! It must really be tough in that kitchen. Management always wants you to call the store because no one will answer. They wont do anything about if they do answer.
Today 5 sept. 2020 at 2:45pm an employee(s) was over zealous with the salt on my fries so much that I had to order a large fries with no salt!! The no salt fries still had some salt on them, which was much better than the fries I first got! I couldn’t eat the first batch of fries! It’s like the employee wanted me to eat salt with fries instead of fries with salt. I’m sure today a lot of customers got too much salt on their fries because they couldn’t even create a no salt fry! The owner should be quick to find this employee else he/she might ruin their business!! I decided not to tell an employee because I feared they might try to get revenge on my next order. So I just ordered a no salt fries instead of saying something.
We stopped to get a hot fudge sundae. It took a long time for them to answer after I pushed the red button. I could see one young man eating something and another one was drinking something through a straw. Point is they were in the foods preparation area wearing no gloves and carrying on. When they finally answered I asked for the sundae and asked to have nuts. The man on the intercom informed me that they no longer served nuts but they had pecans for an added cost. This is the only Sonic I know of that does this practice. I wasn't impressed with the service or what we got.
⭐️⭐️ The staff at this Sonic is always friendly and polite, but the food quality and consistency have been disappointing on multiple visits. I’ve received undercooked mozzarella sticks once, and another time I ordered a 6-piece but only got 4 in the bag. Most recently, I ordered a Frito Chili Cheese Wrap and got a small folded tortilla with just a few Fritos, chili, and cheese — nothing like the full, loaded wrap I’ve gotten from other Sonic locations. It seems like this location struggles with quality control. The team has great customer service, but the food needs more attention to detail to match that same standard.
I had a cheeseburger for dinner. In 2 hours later began my seven trips to the bathroom. Apparently there was something wrong with the food tonight
Placed a breakfast order for a breakfast toaster with no egg. (So a grilled cheese with bacon) Staff was friendly, service was quick, outdoors area was clean. My complaint is (I use to work for sonic so I know how this works) They staff is trying to “beat a clock” and in turn my food gets slapped together and comes out 1/2 cold, see below picture! The cheese is only 3/4 of the way on the bread. As you can see it is only 1/2 melted. I took one bite and of course the bacon fell out of the sandwich. I couldn’t move it onto the bread as it is cheese and was stuck just enough on to bread I had to eat it like this. Good points for the fountain drink being perfectly carbonated and the tater tots not being overly salted and crispy.
Cannot get an order correct!. Likes to charge for super Sonic but give a regular sonic burger. Always leaving something off of order.
Ordered a butterfinger blast and got a cup of ice cream with butterfinger dust sprinkled on it. No chunks of butterfinger to be found, every bite tasted like disappointment.
Staff is rude. They do not get the orders correct. They make you wait 20 minutes for a drink
i had the popcorn chicken and the chicken was raw and smelt gross. even the outside of the chicken had a blackish color.
The girl on the mic taking orders is rude can't get an order right and over charged us!!!!! We hate coming to this sonic cause of her!!!!! Will not be back going to the one on 380!
Service is awful everytime I come to this location. EDIT: manager left a rude comment on my google review. I've spoken with the manager once about the customer service and I got an eye-roll followed by "Well I wasn't there, so I don't know..." THE MANAGER IS THE MAIN REASON I AVOID THIS LOCATION!
On May 4 corndogs are 50 cents. Oh but sorry we are out of corndogs at 5:45 in the afternoon. Won't be back.
Don't order more than 1 burger. You won't get it and you won't get your order right. And the manager could care less! So rude.
For years we have gone to this Sonic just because it's one of the few places in our town. My mother went and got two meals. The fries were hard and old and tasted like they had been dipped in salt 10 times. My mom took the fries back up to the store after we ate dinner and the assistant manager said she would replace the fries but could not give my mom her money back! Really? At that point my mom didn't want the fries because we had already eaten dinner. This is probably the 4th time the fries have been bad and we have thrown them away in the past but this is the first time we have taken them back and asked for our money back. Our entire family has all agreed we will NOT ever go to that sonic again , no matter how convenient. No go on this place! To bad Gene Gomfery doesn't own this Sonic, because if he did it would be the best in town just like the ones he owns in Denton are!
If you like a grown man that picks on a teenage boy and makes fun of them for a speech in pediment then this is the place for you! Not only did the franchise owner make fun of my son he tried to fight my 16 year old. When I called and confronted him he told me he was in the wrong but I don’t believe him. He just got caught being a jerk!
Corndogs are 50 cents on Tuesdays but they charge you 1.50 if you don't REMIND them they're 50 cents. The chick over the speaker snapped at me like I should have known that. Zero customer service.
This is the worst Sonic I have ever experienced! The girl taking orders on the mic is so rude and thinks she knows what you want before you say it so everything comes out wrong. Luckily there is another sonic down the road @ 380! That's where my business will go from now on!

Had complications getting the order correct, when trying to receive correct order the car hop was extremely rude. Ended up paying for incorrect order plus the correct one. Worst customer service I've ever experienced.
Food was terrible. Chicken strips was tuff like they had been sitting there all day. Tater tots were cold . Gravy cold toast cold overall just terrible food .
I placed my order at 7:23 pm Thursday evening 30 min hours by I ask where is my food (sorry we are behind) then 45 min I ask and I'm told we are making it now, ok great well 1 hour 10 minutes after ordering I ask again and I'm told I was not there when they brought my food I have been sitting in stall 29 have never moved (well ok I'll get you a refund) 20 minutes later I have to walk up to door and ask a car hop what the heck is going on she tells me I'm sorry we are short staffed and our two cooks are not getting along I said I have my daughter asleep in car waiting all this time over children (cooks) not getting along I just want my food or money back and the car hop said she would go make it herself. This is extremely frustrating all that time ryce kept lying to me. Finally about 1½ hours later I still had to pay for 2 burgers and 2 Frito wraps I will not be returning to this circus
Yea… I normally come here frequently. This is the first time I’ve been disappointed. My sprite tasted bad, not even like they need to refill the sprite, but maybe need to clean the machine. Also my sandwich had the most burnt bacon I’ve ever seen.
Worst sonic I've ever been to. All of the food we ordered looked and tasted gross. The chili my chili cheese tots looked like dog food. It was very dark crusty and chunky. Burger was similar in looking and tasting like it had been made and sat for a long time before it was served. After a couple of bites we through out all of our food. I love sonic but this particular location must have awful management/ownership. Go somewhere else for your own sake.

Was not impressed with my visit today. I went to order a large 1/2 and 1/2 Frozen lemonade with unsweetened tea and the rep on the phone was very rude. Ive never not been able to order this drink. Every State I've visited a sonic I've always been able to place my order. I will not be returning
New up date, the food tast like the kitchen is dirty. Needs a oil change. I dont know what is up with the slushies?! Something has changed, and not for the good.
They aren't bad in the morning. Any other time you can expect your food to be CoLd or wrong. I regular get the popcordln chicken or chicken and yet they can't get them to me fresh or remember my barbeque sauce.
Order lunch here at 12:20 on the app ahead of time waited over 30 minutes for them to just tell me it would be another 20-30 minutes. And mind you this was lunch for my son. I was going to have lunch with him hence the reason I ordered it early! Very disappointed
Half the time I get a shake it doesn’t have any of the pieces in it, for example, the lack of Oreo pieces in the Oreo master shake
Apparently, they were too busy or too lazy to manually enter in the details of our gift card. So, they get to waste all that food and lose a customer. Manager didn’t even want to come out and discuss. American Express gift card. Super standard stuff here.
My husband stopped by Sonic earlier and got ice cream for us to enjoy tonight. We started to eat it and it tasted like straight up soap, it was awful. We didn't realize it until after our son had finished off some of his. Now I'm concerned that we ingested something chemical wise - unknown what it is and what side effects we will have. Super disappointed and worried.
My brother picked up what was supposed to be lunch for us on 8/7/2025 and they told him the fryers are down. They are the only Sonic in Aubrey currently open in my area as the one in Cross Roads is completely shut down now, so our only option. Since the fryers were down, we went with just burritos. They took a long time to get and the egg in them was disgusting, it was not even yellow at all and tasted horrible. There were also hairs in the food as well, which might have been an accident but could have been intentional based on the service he received. We will not be going here anymore, the food made us feel sick.
Place doesn’t seem to care about customer service. The guy taking my order simply made me repeat myself so many times I honestly lost count. He did apologize repeatedly so that’s understood. The bigger problem I had was once my food came out, which was a very long time because they were packed and so I try to be understanding except at my food was very cold. When the food was brought to me, they left out some of my order and the kid went back inside. With the promise to return with my things, but instead started serving other customers again. By the time I got home, my food was already gone because I ate on the way home, and every bite of it was about as cold as it gets. After having waited that long and still getting cold food I absolutely cannot put blame on anyone but sonics lack of concern. All other locations are awesome but this one in particular has let me down enough to alert the public. Cold food such as mine is against the health code and completely unacceptable.
