What an absolute fantastic meal and service as always ...great atmosphere and the food is off the hook good...

One of the few places I've been that know how to cook eggs over medium! Excellent breakfast. Very clean, nice server's, and I don't know who does the landscaping, but it's gorgeous. It's what made me go there!

Everyone who works there is so friendly. The food is amazing and drinks superb.

Great sports bar and grill. Food was delicious. Best french onion soup around. Lots of chicken in the Caesar salad. The prices were reasonable except a glass of soda was 3.49 which was refillable but who drinks more than one glass at lunch...looking forward to going back to try the burgers.

We're new to Auburn and Kostas was highly recommended to us. The portions are enormous. I usually prefer quality over quantity, but here you get both. We had the fish fry and fried green tomatoes the first time we were here and the second time we had the chicken parm, the French onion soup and the BBQ chicken. The baked beans with the BBQ were amazing, so smokey and a great balance of heat and sweet. Everyone is so friendly and the atmosphere is very fun.

This was my 1st time dining here and I will Definitely be back!! The service was Awesome, the Food was Delicious and I Love all the TV's so I can Watch Sports!!

As usual, our meals were great. We used to live across the street and were breakfast regulars but we moved and haven't been able to get back over there in a couple years. The waitress still remembered us, and my wife's food allergies immediately, which made it extra home-y feeling. In case anyone wonders, I got the meat lovers omelet and my wife got the Greek scramble. They were both delicious!

Great atmosphere and great company! Been here twice and out the both of those times it was incredible! From the moment I sat down to the moment I paid and left the stool. The waitress/bartender was the right amount of attentiveness where it's not to nosey/obtrusive or avoiding you like the plague. The food was good and paired great with the beer on tap as well

Having hiked Watkins Glen Park, I thought it couldn't be better, boy was I delighted to observe the falls here! It's really breathtaking and the foggy atmosphere only made it better. I didn't walk down to the lower observation platform, and that would have been wonderful, but the daylight and my shoes were at odds with practicality! Definitely worth a visit. Absolutely beautiful!

The food and service is simply the best! I've just tried to finish the scallop & shrimp Alfredo dinner.it was cooked correctly not overdone like other places. It was more tasty too. The portion is so big I had to take a lot home. I will definitely see them again! !

With our busy schedule, we have not been in quite awhile. As usual incredible service, and the food was fantastic. The portions where huge, you will not leave hungry!! For what you get, it is a phenomenal value!! Great to see that they still remain like this. Can't say that about too many others in the Restaurant business today!!

Went there yesterday. Got spaghetti n meatballs, meatballs were perfect, not mushy or spices n served with plenty of sauce n not buried in cheese. Got chicken sandwich for my mother in law n she enjoyed it too n mashed taters were good. This is our third visit there n always good, gotta try the pizza next, just wish it was 25 miles away. Only disappointment was the slaw, little soupy, oh well,we will return.

Always a great experience at Kosta's! They have great variety in their menu and their Cajun Chicken Tortellini Alfredo is to die for!!!! I never liked Alfredo until I had this. It's a fantastic dish I would highly recommend. Everyone who has tried it absolutely loves it! Good salads too. 😊

We went in with a party of 8. Our waitress Amber was so professional and greeted us with a friendly smile. She served us all bread n butter before entrees. (With today’s economy you don’t see that often.) She took care of all our needs with ease. Our food was all served hot and delicious. From nachos to steaks they were all cooked perfectly. She deserves recognition in this day n time. Good help anywhere is hard to find

Excellent Eggplant Parm Pizza! The waitress said it was her favorite and we could see why. She was very friendly as well. The only complaint I have about the place is that I couldn’t sit/fit in a booth so I had to move to a table. I’m A big guy 6’3” / 260. Maybe that’s on me. I need to lose some weight, but I’m sure there’s plenty of big guys out there that might be running into this issue.

My best friend and I went for the first time yesterday. GREAT FOOD AND EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! Reasonable prices and you get great portions. it was the best Chicken Broccoli Alfredo I've ever had and I came with salad and bread. Our waitress Stephanie was an absolute doll and was the best waitress I've ever had serve me. She even took a selfie with my bf. The whole experience was awesome and I will definitely be back!!

We drove 1 hour and 15 minutes to meet up with family at the Pizza Hut and were turned away. So we decided to try this place out. Thank God we did everything was awesome. This place is our new meeting place. Kosta you should thank Pizza Hut for turning us away and finding your place. I thanked Pizza Hut in a review I personally wrote on their google page.

I have been going here for the last fifteen years. The food is always good. The wait staff is very friendly, helpful. It's the only place I'm able to get a dozen clam steamers in our area. Their food is actually homemade and not processed and out of a bag or a box. I recommend this place to anybody in the area of Auburn, New York.

Take out from Kostas was spot on! King cut smoked prime rib with a blooming onion. Also brought home an Italian Platter. The sauce and everything was tasty and the meatballs were huge and delicious. Food was all excellent! We definitely have leftovers!

Happened upon this gem after a hockey game on a Saturday morning. Only planned to have a drink or two but the look and smell of others eating lured us to try some breakfast as well. The food was amazing. Beers were cold, staff was super friendly(though being understaffed made it a little slow). This will be the go to now when I'm in town.

Great place to get a good meal at a reasonable price. Been going there for over 10 years and the food and service are consistently good. Casual dining and very family friendly. There is a bar. There are plenty of tv's throughout, tuned into every kind of sports. I recommend the Chicken Riggies (a CNY dish). They do a good job with breakfast too. Try the Fretta (another local specialty).

I was a frequent flyer here and was always happy with the service and food. I must confess I was really surprised when I looked at my receipt and saw a charge for using my debit card. That was my final visit I won't be back I don't do sneaky non-disclosure and I appreciate it. I would prefer a rise in price at least that's honest.

I often come here for lunch. I love the specials, they come with soup and it's always worth it. This last time I went for dinner with my family. Everything was delicious. The stand out was my son's stromboli. It was huge...and delicious. He is 17 and it was 3 meals for him. I highly recommend it.

We just pulled into Kosta's Bar & Grill while waiting for our takeout elsewhere. The bar is large and comfortable. It's definitely a local bar as most people greeted each other as they walked in. The bartender made some really good Old Fashioneds. Good selection of beer on tap and bottled. It's worth the stop.

I like Kostas. It's good diner food. You can get breakfast, lunch or dinner any time of the day. It has a nice, separate bar area and reasonable prices. I saw a guy tip over and fall off his barstool last time I was there, so I guess the drinks can be pretty strong, too.

Food is always fantastic. Service was excellent. High Credit card fees and unable to split the check makes it harder to want to go back. Overall great restaurant!

Not a bad spot for a burger. None in my group had any complaints. Food was good, Service was nice, quick and accommodating. We were seated right away, and the staff and customers were all quite friendly.

The pasta was delicious, however, quite pricey for the dinner items that weren't on special. Portion sizes for pasta meals were large enough to have 2 meals. One person in our party ordered something else and felt it lacked flavor. It seemed like everything that is usually part of the meal at most places was an upcharge. Our service left quite a bit to be desired, but that may have just been that server. The atmosphere was very loud with the vaulted ceilings and no wall between the bar and dining room. I would suggest, however, that you try it and draw your own conclusions.

Homemade food, excellent soups -- they warn you "this is not a fast food restaurant " but when my daughter & I were there service was exceptionally slow. The atmosphere is nice, nothing fancy -- very homey. Do not order the gyro-- not real veal-- the same mystery meat served in the Arby's gyros. My daughters meal was excellent & very plentiful.

Nice sized place in Auburn, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a bar on one side of the building and the dining is on the other. Every wall has multiple TVs going with different sporting events.The menu is large and varied, plus they had a separate page of lunch specials. The Goulash Bread Bowl was very good, as was their version of a garbage plate. Our server was very friendly and accommodating.

At first glance I would say the place was clean and staff were good. The prices seemed extremely high. Then the food was brought out. Ok, not high priced, just a HUGE HUGE amount of food. The staff were all good, the food came out fast. The fish was a bit dry, but there was so much of it, an entire piece of fish went in the garbage. If you live local and want leftovers, ok. Travelers, this may not be the place for you. My best suggestion would be reduce portion sizes and reduce the price a bit. If you want to eat moose sized helpings, this is the place for you.

Went here for dinner with the hubby, they had some specials. One being the scalloped potatoes and ham and honestly I wouldn't recommend that dish. It was mushy and flavorless and I told the waitress and got a cheeseburger instead and it was better but still not worth the prices. My husband's steak was overcooked and not seasoned the greatest either. The staff was friendly and the place was clean.

Wing special .75 each wings were nice and big. But they switched up there sauces and it kind of ruined it for me. There mild did not taste good at all and there Louisiana were way to sweet . Wish he kept things the way they were. But I will be back

A bit under whelming as normally I find I love diners and have been to this place many times. Just a bunch of little things that could have made the experience better..I got a salad and had to ask for silverware as none was delivered. Ordered a side salad and the cucumber slices were about and once thick...strange..like a chunk of cucumber vs a slices . Also pretty bare for a side salad. Mostly lettuce. I was trying to opt.for.salad instead of the fries, but seemed like a waste of money. Servers were friendly busy seemed a bit distracted or not sure who was doing what job. Had to wave down some after waiting a while to take the check . I'm a patient person so not upset but overall the experience was meh .

How it has changed here over the years. The prices are insane. The food was ok but a decrease in quality. For the love of God don't order a fountain soda, a family of 5 would cost you 20$ just for drinks, but most places are a buck less. 5.50 a side of fries that were forgotten, a bowl of soup will cost you 2 sodas .... crazy times.

Everything at Kosta's was amazing! The atmosphere, the waitress (who was the only one there waiting on tables, by the way, and she did AMAZING!) The food was great too, but I will honestly say that it was not worth the price. Almost $20 for a burger and fries, and while the food is decent, it just wasn't worth it. Definitely worth a try though if you have money to spend on eating out! My husband loved his fish dinner!

Ordered delivery. Arrived over hour later. Asked for extra sause. Never recieved. Ordered chicken parm. Chicken while tasty and hugh does taste good does not taste anything like chicken parm. Very little sauce and cheese. I am very disapointed considering my order cost 35 dollars after delivery fees and cost of meal. Will not be ordering again. Not able to give picture but did put on door dash.

We really wanted to give this restaurant another chance. Haven’t been in over 2 years. I attempted to order one of the dirt dishes that was listed on the menu and unfortunately I was told that they don’t have that option anymore. I have to follow a super strict diet and this was one of the only options I could have. I had to go with a side salad. My husband also never got his salad that was included with his meal. The waitress was very nice. Very attentive. Tried to help me find another option on the menu. Due to my diet restrictions I will not be returning.

11-20-25 Ordered the Open faces Gyro dinner. It was delicious definitely recommend........Update 2-4-24 got brunch here. Ordered the bacon egg and cheese on a English muffin. My friend ordered the Greek gyro . Both were ok........Went here today for lunch. The variety on the menu was huge. They seemed pretty busy as well. Ultimately ended up ordering the seafood and broccoli alfredo pizza and medium wings. It was a tough choice they had scalloped potatoes &ham and chicken & gravy over biscuits as some of the lunch specials. The specials where not listed on the regular menu. They where around $10 a piece.Was happy with my decision once our food was brought to the table . The pizza was delicious( needed a bit of salt). The wings where so good. I've found my new favorite place for wings. The sauce was unique in a good way. Will definitely be back again in the future....I read a previous review noting how many flies they had. They did have a large number of flies today. I had to keep scaring them away. Having seafood pizza kinda drew them to our table. Didn't bother us though. The food was still delicious..... updating my review. We have been here several times now. I am not impressed. Every time we go here something is in our drink today we had a hair and stuff stuck to the inside of the glass. I ordered the baked seafood special. The waitress said it had crab. She didn't specify it was imitation crab. The scallops were not done all the way and tasted off. Some of the shrimp seemed under done aswell. They topped the whole thing with way to many cracker crumbs or something. The only thing I will be ordering from here from now on is the wings and pizza. Have been here in another occasion previously and ordered the scallop and shrimp Alfredo. The Alfredo was so bland...went here again ordered the French onion soup it is delicious. A bit salty but delicious

Our food was off very good quality, in house preparation. Our house salads were excellent. The portions were beyond generous. We took exactly half of our dinner home filling a larger sized to go container for each of us. The negative... I was put off to find out out bill was not as expected. There were UNSOLICITED petty upcharges for the offered salad and another for "white" dressings. (Also the "standardized" 3% credit card fee is assessed). I feel this dishonest and is a bad look as it is a cost of doing business. I believe that this should all be built into the menu pricing.

It's usually our favorite place to go & food is usually very good. We have never had an issue. Well it may be due to being exceptionally busy being Father's Day but we were very disappointed with our breakfast this morning. It took 15 min to get our drinks which were splashed all over our table when delivered. We waited 50min for our food which was cold when we got it. Orders were mixed. Something I ordered was on another plate & vice versa. We got stuff we didn't order & didn't get stuff we ordered. There were people who were seated after us & had 2 more people than what we had get their food & drinks faster & before us. We did not complain but was overall disappointed with the service & food.

Been there x3 and the food and service was ok. Had lunch there today and decided to not go there anymore. $19 for eggplant parmigiano seemed high but I ordered it anyway. It was served with almost zero tomatoe sauce and when I asked for a little more the tiny bit the waitress brought me had a ruffled whole potato chip in it. I didn't realize it was there until I poured the little bit I was brought over the meal. I love potato chips, but not in my spaghetti sauce. When I pointed it out to the waitress, she apologized and then charged me full price for a meal destroyed. 19 for eggplant, 3.75 for a hot cocoa, 3.75 for a lemonade, with tip, $32 for a lunch I could not eat. I won't go there again!

We attempted to order lunch for the company I work with on several occasions. The first time the food took 30 mins longer to cook than expected, ultimately making everyone’s lunch late. The second time they refused our business. Saying that they couldn’t split the check for multiple credit card orders. When we asked to speak to the owner, John, the waitress didn’t put us on hold fast enough. We heard the owner in the background saying that he didn’t want to talk to us & they were short staffed.. needless to say, that’s all it took & A-Verdi will never attempt to order here again. On a personal side (and the reasoning for the 2 star review), I’ve been there with my now husband multiple times. Aside from the slow service, the food & pricing is always amazing. Overall, just wish that we didn’t have the bad experience on the company side.. all of the employees love their food.

Just average food nothing to write home about. We have tried them now for all three medals breakfast lunch and dinner and each time they made mistakes with our order. The first time the waitress said if she tried to correct our order it might take an hour so I ate what she bought. When we asked if she would discount our order she said there was nothing she could do. Unbelievably we went back to give them a chance several months later only to discover poor service again. Now again after several months we returned. This time

I had the worst meal there tonight. I have been in several times and always order the eggplant parmesan. It would come heaping with nice round slices of eggplant (skin too) staggered on the plate, cheese all over it, sauce all over it. The usual way. Tonight was a pile of mush! No visible slices. No slices at all! It looked like the pan scrapings in a pile on my plate. I told the waitress that the cook had changed the way to do it or there was a new cook who didn't know how to make it. She went to say something and came back with "The cook said it is the same but the eggplant is sliced smaller." It is clearly not looking like eggplant parmesan. There were no actual slices in it. I was fuming. How could the cook tell the waitress to repeat a blatant lie? If my husband wasn't there holding me back, I would have gone in to the kitchen to show him the scrap pile on my plate.

Went to Kosta’s today for dinner to celebrate our sons birthday, his choice. We’ve been here many times before and have always had good service and food. This was our first time here in a while. We were greeted and seated promptly upon arrival which was nice. The boys wanted mozzarella sticks for an appetizer so we started with that. I didn’t have any but they said they were good. At first glance upon the menu I noticed the prices had gone up…way up! My oldest son and wife ordered and shared a Buffalo chicken pizza ($24.99). While my youngest son ordered a bacon deluxe cheeseburger ($17.99) and I ordered the Turkey melt ($14.99). The food arrived quickly, it was early evening. The pizza looked great, the burger looked great, and so did my Turkey melt. My son said the pizza was good not great, didn’t care for the type of chicken they used. My other son who had the burger said it was good as well. To me, it didn’t look like an $18 burger and fry meal. Fry portion was ok, could have been another half serving more. The burger was cooked to my sons liking and appeared to be a 6oz burger and probably not angus. For that price it should be angus. My Turkey club was also very good, had fresh cut roasted Turkey which was tender and not dry. I was disappointed in the bacon that topped it. I was expecting a couple of thick cut pieces of bacon but got 2 pieces of what I would consider standard bacon. The portion of fries was also lacking considering the overall price of the meal, was more of a $10-$12 meal and not $15. Overall, the waitress was good, but it wasn’t busy either so she could spend more time focused on us. The food was good not great. The burger and Turkey meals in particular were drastically overpriced and not worth what we paid for them. The 2 stars overall was for cost and quality. I expected great food for the cost and got standard quality. Quality I could get up the road for a fraction of the cost at Auburn Diner. I likely won’t be back anytime soon if I’m paying, unless it’s to just have a drink at the bar.

It's unfortunate that a place with such good food has serving staff seemly incapable of doing there job properly. The wrong food was brought to our table TWICE, after 20+ minutes our server Donna realized she fergot to ring in our food, we observed this and asked for another mimosa while we wait. That took 18 minutes to come out. We asked another server about it and she couldn't even be bothered to make eyecontact as we spoke. It wasn't busy! All the servers just seemed hung over or just didn't care, rude and inhospitable. Wish we could have tipped the cooks since the food was the only good part about our visit.

I've never had an experience that would convince me to go back. The food is mediocre at best and you're often waiting an eternity for it. Aside from the daily specials, the prices are exorbitant for your standard pub fair. To top it all off, the owner has a reputation of being insulting towards costumers. This is one local business I would not support and do not understand for the life of me how they get the traffic they do.

I do my best to shop local, but lately it's been getting difficult. They advertise that they serve breakfast until 2pm....but I call at 1:30pm and I'm told they've stopped serving breakfast because they are too busy in house. Too busy to make an omelette? But I could order anything at all from your lunch or dinner menu? Please help me understand..... They also advertise that they deliver....but they don't advertise that delivery is only Mon-Fri....and lots of times they aren't even delivering Mon-Fri. Used to be a go-to, but no longer.

Got breakfast 2 onlettes, side of cornbeef hash and home fries. All I can say is it was all over cooked and dried out. Except for the hash. Sad just sad.

Gotta say, really nothing special but overpriced. For a bacon cheeseburger for two it came to 44.79. Asked for med in one and medium rare on the other and got well done and med well on the other. Buns weren’t toasted. The burger was a frozen patty instead of fresh. The whole plate was just thrown together. I saw prime rib was over 30 so I can only imagine what they would have been like. . We are here all summer but this is one place we won’t be returning to. At least with 5 guys they cook actual burgers from scratch and unlimited fries for about the same price.

Ordered a grilled cheese with “soup”. Naturally expected tomato soup, but no, instead we got beef soup that tasted like it came out of a can. Had a Caesar salad that had a vinaigrette instead of normal dressing, eggs on the side which is in fact an objective abomination. And the chicken was really dry, with a leathery texture. Lady that served us was friendly and sweet.

Understaffed poor management. Waited over an hour for mediocre food. Great reminder why we never go.

Drove 40 minutes for dinner and ordered dinner immediately after arriving and sat 1 hour and never received my dinne. Dinner date with my wife and I will never go back. Worst service I ever had! Unbelievable. Never have I ever experienced service like that in my entire life. Never will I refer this establishment to anyone ever! They tried to cook my dinner on the fly after they realized that my original server never put my dinner in.

Disgusting place, My fork had old crusted food in between it yuck... Also a long straggly hair in my French onion soup. The French onion soup was not made well... big chunk of cheese plop in the middle. Customer service was mediocre. Please do better and I may change my rating. Until then 1/5 stars 🤢👎

Called and tried to place an order instantly put on hold for 20 minutes. Called off a different phone and got right through. Ordered a medium pizza for pick up and was told I was supposed to give my credit card number in order to start my food. The lady was rude, I asked for management and was told there was no management in the building and that they didn’t have any. The owner must have real trust in their employees to just run the building. Making sure word of mouth goes out about this place. Will not return.

I spent 11 minutes on hold! I drove from the auburn ymca while on hold, hit the stop light by the police station and byrne dairy and still was on hold when i pulled in. I was actually speaking to a manager with my phone open on hold when someone finally picked up off hold to take my order.

I made an order for pick up. The hostess misunderstood request of the order. We returned ask to have to have it fixed. They took the food in the back and added it on top of the mistake, instead of having it remade. At that point we just wanted a partial refund of the $50 we spent.. Instead we were told to take our business somewhere else. The owner came out yelling and being disrespectful. He refused to refund our meals and told us not to come back. We didn’t make a seen or were looking for any kind of issues . I would not recommend going here unless you are content with a cafeteria style meal. Management needs to be willing to accept their wrongs. Very disappointed. I will eat fast food before going back here.

My family and I traveled three hours to visit relatives and decided to stop at a bar and grill with decent reviews on our way. However, our visit was incredibly disappointing. As soon as we sat down, we noticed a fly, which we brushed off at first. However, things took a turn for the worse when our table became infested with flies as our food was brought out. This made it impossible to enjoy our meal, so we ended up just asking for to-go boxes. Waiting 30 minutes for our food in a restaurant, only to have to take it home because of a fly infestation, was ridiculous. When we requested the bill, we were shocked to discover that a 20% tip had already been included without our consent. I found this to be completely unethical. The server's explanation that it was in the fine print of the menu was unacceptable, as who reads the fine print while looking for something to eat? Needless to say, we will not be returning to this establishment.

we are regulars at this restaurant. Last week when we came the waitress kicked us out after a hour. A table down from us she also kicked out and offer them a drink at the bar we were offered nothing. Will not be returning to eat here for the foreseeable future.

Ate at the bar. My friend and I ordered the same entre and hers was 1/2 grizzle. First bite of my potato was terrible ( salt potatoes)as it was old and I only ate 1 other one.Bartender seemed not to care. She should have alerted the cook or manager of the poor quality of the food. In hindsight, we should have sent it back to begin with(prime rib sandwich). Bartender was more interested in her phone than anything. Will never return!

Was there two weeks ago and Walked out no service . We talked to the manager. Anastasia called to apologize and was going to make it right never followed thru. We have been there many time . But this time the younger waiter didnot want to do her job after 15 20 minutes of no SERVICE we walked out I would not recommend this place to anyone . Poor Service Poor Management Thank You Anastasia . Keep in mind Customer Service goes a long way.

Just stopped in today a little bit ago, wanted to grab a late lunch. Sit down ignored for ten minutes after seeing the waitress pop her head out a half dozen or so times. After 15 minutes of waiting and not even having our drinks ordered yet got up and left. Wasn’t even busy, used to be a damn good place but can’t say I’ll be back anytime soon until the service and attention to the diners seem to come back around.

Ordered a gyro which was not even close to being one. Meat was no way lamb and it was dry. Tzatziki sauce was not even close more like runny ranch no cucumber taste to it. You don’t add lettuce to it or white onion, red onion. If you’re gonna make something authentic, make sure you know how to do it right or don’t make it off. Will not be coming back very disappointed.
