The food is good - really good! The salad greens are so fresh. The chicken was perfectly cooked - moist and tender. I’ve come twice now in 3 days. I’m looking forward to another lunch from ADP
I visited during SXSW a while back and have found myself thinking about these sandwiches atleast once a week since then (it's been about 4 months). The sandwiches are great, although I can't remember which sandwich I had, I'm sure anything on the menu won't disappoint. I do remember having the hushpuppies and they were delicious with or without the sauce they have. The service was great. They're in a very small place, so you wouldn't be able to go inside and sit down but there are tables outdoors. Would definitely recommend.
The food is great, the ownership is fantastic. The owner Hal is a great guy, he’s friendly and does a great job.
We've been here twice and have been thoroughly impressed on both occasions and it's worth your time to make multiple visits and experience something different. The jalapeño hush puppies are ridiculously good, don't forget to add them to your order.
These tortas are without a doubt worth the pricetag. Though not conventional tortas, ADPs are loaded with meat, veggies, herbs and sauces and make sure that you don’t get bored while eating. Most importantly, the hush puppies are amazing! They’re soft and chewy on the inside, and almost remind me of eating mochi.
This is my favorite local sandwhich company. If this is your first time try the Deville chicken sandwhich and the hush puppies... you will love it! Free beer Friday at this location for the past few visits that I have made. Their staff is adorable! Oh and the best chips and queso in town!!
Love this spot! No idea why it’s closed Sunday though. Definitely less than ideal but great food
This place is absolutely phenomenal! Some of the best tacos I’ve ever had! Not to mention the culture at this joint is incredible! Always the nicest people who get to know you and ask you about your day. Today I was having a rough one after getting my car towed and they made me new tacos on the spot free of charge and also gave me my old tacos. Thanks ADP! You guys rock!
ADP has been a constant in my life. Their unique combination of flavor pairing, great staff, and awesome ambience makes this place a regular for me. My favorite is the Lucille and hush puppies + spicy ranch paired with a freshly brewed/squeezed Arnold Palmer. My biggest complaint is with myself as there are so many more options to choose from that I find it challenging to decide on what to order next.
Our son is good friends with the owner, so when my wife was visiting him, he took her to Austin Daily Press, she loved it so much she brought back to New Braunfels a Pork Belly Carnitas Bowl so I could try it for dinner. It was fabulous, just the right mixtures of seasoning on the meat to give it a tasty bite, it left you wanting more after you were finished. It will definitely start being one of our “go to places” when visiting our son in Austin. If I could give this place 10-stars, I would.
Yes, Austin is famous for its secret little footprint food joints, but it’s time this one comes out of the kitchen! I’m talking about Austin Daily Press (ADP)! They’ve got three locations in town but I’ve been haunting the MLK location where they always make me feel part of the family. Last week I invited a couple of new friends to meet me there. What a hit! The ADP gang treated the two of them like favorite aunties. My friends were drooling over the whole menu. And the end results were super positive! Thank you ADP, you rocked it again. ❤️
My favorite sandwich shop in town. All of the employees and cook are so beautiful and kind. Their food is fresh and heals your soul! I'm addicted to their Pineapple Express sandwich. I like to have them switch the Swiss for mozzarella and put the spicy ranch on the side. Priceless
Love this little place. Great hidden gem in Austin. Haven’t seen another menu like this anywhere else in town. I had the Lucille torta - really good! Definitely will be back.
This place is amazing! My fiancé and I live nearby and love walking here for lunch. Phenomenal food and a wonderful patio area.
Unbelievable delicious food. My server was so nice and friendly as well. You cannot put a price on great customer service…and when the food is great what is there to complain about!? You need to try this place!
I used ADP for wedding catering. Reed and the Austin Daily Press were above and beyond fantastic. All I heard all night was how amazing the food was. Reed made sure we had affordable options and was extremely helpful with vegetarian and gluten free options for guests. I could not imagine catering with anyone else at this point. They are so versatile and caring. They made our wedding reception very memorable for us and our guests. Reed is also very good at communicating and just overall a very kind person. I would recommend them to anyone over and over again.
Since new ownership, ADP is even better. The food is so delicious. The hush puppies are out of this world. If you're not picking up, it also delivers well.
First time at this place, and found the food to be delicious (they have vegetarian options)!! You have to order everything as a separate item (i.e. sandwich, drinks, etc.). I don't remember there being a meal deal. I also cannot remember if they had fries or if it was like a chip and dip option. But, the sandwich was filling enough on it's own. We will definitely eat this place again.
So good. My friends and I all got different sandwiches and all were great. I got The Lucy and loved it. The hushpuppies were made fresh and perfect- crisp outside and moist inside. Prices are a little bit high for a sandwich but they are unique, delicious, I left quite full
We brought the family here and everyone loved what they got! I got the smash a lot burger, which was delicious! there’s some handy outside seating with a dog water bowl in case you’re wondering
My wife and I booked Austin Daily Press to cater our wedding at The Grand Lady. Having had to previously plan and cancel a wedding during COVID, my wife and I just wanted to hire vendors that were easy to deal with. Not only was Reed and ADP amazingly easy and low stress to work with, they made the process a breeze and at a great price. It was just an added bonus that they blew everyone away with the unique and amazing food. They even packaged up the leftovers--our only regret is that we didn't order for more guests than we had, as I wish we had taken home more leftovers! After the wedding, we had countless guests asking us who catered because it was AMAZING! Reed put together the perfect menu, amazing craft cocktails (that jalapeno margarita has no equal), and over the top service from beginning to end. We never had to worry--Reed handled everything himself and was a great joy to work with. I would, without hesitation, recommend ADP as a caterer for ANY event at ANY budget. Their unique combinations of hip MexAsianish food hit the spot. We've since made regular visits to the brick/mortar location and we will continue to do so for the forseeable future. Thank you Reed for all your amazing work, and feel free to use Marcela and myself as a reference for any and all interested clients. We are in your debt!
Phenomenal food and service. Waited 25 min for my bowl and they comped my meal for free. Some of the best Mexican inspired food I’ve ever had and their patio is great.
I used Austin Daily Press to cater a luncheon yesterday with about 50 attendees, and they were fantastic. From the start, Hal and Kelly were responsive, clear, and easy to work with—they took a lot of the stress out of the planning process. Kelly took great care of us leading up to the event and was especially attentive on the day of. The food was fresh, flavorful, and a hit with our guests ...all within budget. We’ll definitely be using Austin Daily Press again! Highly recommend.
Absolutely LOVE ADP. Taco Tuesday is a staple for me. Service is fast, friendly, and efficient. The Eastside cherishes APD. The cherry on top is the APD + The Wheel combo. When in doubt- get the Lucille in any form- taco, torta or bowl, and a side of hush puppies — you won’t regret it.
Took a little time to get the food, but MAN. Worth it. I came looking for coffee cause of the name but was pleasantly surprised with the food options. There is no coffee lol but I got a bangin grilled cheese and these jalapeño hushpuppies were to die for. Coming again!!!!
Wow! Thank you for this incredible experience of a taco!! I tactually added beets to the Pineapple Express and am super excited to try more there. I think anything you get there will be amazing because they put love into their food.
The food here was so tasty, and the service was good as well. We ordered the Deville and Lucille bowls which were both excellent. I’d take a picture, but I ate it too fast! Also, I had ordered to go, and unfortunately, someone had taken our order. But they made it right within just a few minutes and didn’t charge me anything (despite the fact that I think it cost them). Highly recommend and will definitely be back!
If only it was open on Sunday!!! Love this spot. Incredible vegetarian and vegan options!
Stopped by for lunch, it had been a while since I came in and the service and food is still fantastic. I was helped by Marquis, who was super sweet, he accommodated my dietary restrictions, even threw in an extra sauce- he was awesome and I got my food in no time! Was so good that I felt inclined to leave another review. The one under is from a year ago😂 Holy cow, this place is the best! Stopped by for the first time on a lunch break and got their chicken bowl- so much food for a good price- and the employee hooked me up with all the sauces. Can’t wait to try more things on their menu! Also, service was great- quick and friendly🤗
This place has amazing Sandwiches and Sides. I've probably been here more times than any other restaurant since living in Austin. Always fresh and tasty ingredients. Never had a bad meal here no matter what I get. Love it.
Wow, just wow. My chicken tinga bowl was the furthest thing from boring. Super flavorful, fresh ingredients. The pineapple torta thing with steak added was AMAZING too. So excited to find this place!!!
Great restaurant. Service is great, chill ambience, fair prices, and delicious food. I went there for the first time today and ordered their smash burger - one of the best ones in town. Can’t wait to go again.
I recently had lunch here and tried the DeVille Rice Bowl, and it was fantastic! The flavors were vibrant and perfectly balanced. The combination of fresh ingredients and seasonings made it one of the best rice bowls I've ever had. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal during their break!
Watching you guys on The Great Food Truck Race where y’all donated the money to the baseball kids! Would love to try a sandwich IRL <333
Had their Hush Puppies, which I aptly named "Shut Your Mouth Puppies" because they are some of the best I've ever had! Also had the BLT, which is straight fire! Bring a loose pair of pants because they don't mess around with the size of their food. Only gave four stars for Atmosphere because it's small and outside in an intimate setting. Don't let that shy you away from going and getting some great food.
Jalapeño hush puppies were 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 oh my gosh. I also recommend the Lucille greens and grains bowl and the pork belly carnitas tacos. Everything was FANTASTIC!!! We enjoyed the food before we even thought to take photos. The Edamame Fritter is wild!!! Definitely check them out! We ate next door at the Wheel which has a cool vibe.
Great food, healthy feeling options. Vegetarian options surprisingly good, though some are greasier than expected. The beet sandwich is fantastic. Shopping center is small, but fits a vibe. Has some trendy coffee shop bars and a Juiceland so you can visit here and hit a few trendy places.
They told me I was special. I FINALLY believe it myself. Thank you for the self confidence!!!!
Wow. I can't wait to go back. We got three sandwiches and I tasted two of them. My daughter got the Lucille and loved it. I had the roasted chicken (forget the official name, but it had black bean spread) and it was just exceptional. The star, though, was Caul Me, which my other daughter got. She couldn't finish it, so, despite the fact that I was stuffed from my meal, I asked for a bite -- and proceeded to have several more. It's vegetarian, but it was so 'meaty' and filling that you'd never know it. It was also deliciously seasoned and just the right level of spicy. I will definitely get it when we go back, possibly today. I also got some chips and salsa. The salsa was super fresh and not too spicy and the chips were fresh and light. Possibly house-made? They were a bit limey for my taste, but they're called 'chili lime chips,' so you can't say I wasn't warned. We also got iced tea and an Arnold Palmer. A little pricey, but still good. All in all, it was a tad expensive for a sandwich meal, but it was so incredibly good that I'm actively planning my next trip back.
Loved working with this team they catered a holiday event last minute for me and the food was all delicious and perfect temperature the pricing was reasonable and memorable times with great food ! Highly recommending to all … vegetarian options celiac options options for everyone
This place makes the best Torta I've ever had. The bread is the star but the filling choices are amazing too. I can't wait to eat here again!
Very impressed by this place! The staff was so nice and helpful and the food was surprisingly good! Can't wait to go back!
Really impressive spot! They do $12 torta deals on Thursdays. Ended up with a tasty, big pork torta, jalapeno hushpuppies and lemonade. Will be back!
Our food was delicious and very hot. There is a nice little area to sit at with pic-nic tables. Seems most people order pickup. Everything we order was fabulous.
Amazing food. Good service. Love the hush puppies. The sauce that comes with them is flavorless. Jan 31st — I tried the smash burger and didn’t like it. Patties were too thick. Buns tasted good but didn't feel good. Might be great while drunk. Should’ve gotten my usual.
Johanna and Zev were so wonderful and helpful with a large catering order for a work event. I came back for lunch in-person after trying the catering & enjoyed so much. Amazing service, excellent catering team, and clear labels for dietary restrictions. So many compliments from guests on the catering. Everyone was impressed and definitely a highlight to the event. One guest said it was by far the best, most flavorful food they’d had in 17 years with the company. Great options for vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free. My personal favorites so far are the jalapeño hush puppies, Brussel sprouts, dirty horchata, and the chicken tortilla soup & sourdough grilled cheese sandwich combo. Will be back to try more and taking family & friends from out of town :) I came for lunch during cold front and they had a heater for the patio, good music playing, and community flyers I enjoyed reading. Thank you again to Johanna and Zev ! :) Excellent, above and beyond service.
Ordered the Sir Smashalot Burger and side of jalapeño hush puppies. First, the hush puppies are delicious and perfectly crispy!! The smash burger overall was very tasty and a good sized burger. House pickles are great and plentiful. Really enjoyed the torta bread. The only dislike was the 3 cheese blend of jack, cheddar, and swiss. I don’t personally like Swiss and tried to sub it out but was told all cheeses are pre-blended. Unfortunately, the “blend” I received today was heavy swiss which overpowered the other cheeses. A major factor taste-wise is that I couldn’t identify any cheddar in the blend therefore the entire balance of the cheese blend was off and all I really tasted was the swiss. Unfortunately this completely soured the overall taste. Still a very enjoyable burger and will definitely be back for the hush puppies!!
Such an incredible sandwich! I had the Talk Turkey To Me (fall special) and I don’t think I’ve ever eaten a better sandwich in my life. Would totally recommend this cozy, laid back but incredible spot!!
BTSS!!!! Austin Daily Press totally surprised me in the best way. I walked in expecting a good, casual meal, but everything I ordered ended up being the best I’ve ever had. The flavors were unreal — every bite was one of those “wait, this is incredible” moments. I’m not kidding when I say I’ll be dreaming about this food for years. The place itself is super laid-back, nothing fancy, just a comfortable spot where you can relax and enjoy seriously great food. The staff was friendly, the vibe was easygoing, and the whole experience felt like discovering a new go-to favorite. I’m already planning my next visit because I need more of it in my life.
The smash burger is divine. It's more than enough to fill you up as well as meaty, cheesy, saucy, and delicious! I shared some with my coworkers and they said the same thing. Cute covered and shaded patio outside with picnic tables to sit at.
I enjoy different bowls, like the Chicken Tinga and the Lucille Greens & Grains, and love ordering ADP, when I'm working in the area. I had Austin Daily Press cater my baby shower of 70+ people last weekend, and the Build Your Own Bowl Bar was a hit! We got so many compliments from guests that they enjoyed the food with many going back for more. Food really makes a party, and I’m happy we chose ADP for catering our special baby shower! Highly recommend.
Yall, this is some of the best food in Austin. Rice bowls are delicious and trendy, the vegetarian food selection is great, and the protein is really tasty. I feel great after I eat here. So if you’re trying to eat a bit healthier then this is a rather safe place in my opinion. I met the owner today, he was an incredibly sweet guy and it’s good to know that kind hands are behind the food that we eat! Highly recommend!
We had the Lucille and Canadian Tuxedo with the brussel sprouts. The cashier was very friendly and quick to answer questions. I didn't think I would like the jam on the brussel sprouts but he suggested I try it on the side, I'm glad he said that because it was delicious. The sandwiches were so good as well!! Unexpected sandwich combinations, but so good together! Would definitely recommend trying this place.
We’re just visiting from Houston and randomly stopped at this really chill spot Austin Daily Press and wow, what a great find! The vibes were super chill, the service was friendly, and the food? Absolutely amazing. We ordered the jalapeño hushpuppies, the chicken tinga rice bowl, and the Deville rice bowl everything tasted incredibly fresh and flavorful. Each bite felt thoughtful and satisfying. We walked away with full, happy tummies and definitely plan to come back next time we’re in town!
A quirky Austin like place with excellent food. A food truck without wheels. Outside picnic tables are your onsite dining option. The ordering is a bit odd like you are ordering takeout or delivery. Once you figure it out it is fine. We ordered The Cuban 5/5, Brussel sprouts 5/5, THE CANADIAN TUXEDO 5/5, and CHICKEN TINGA STREET TACO 4.5/5.
I love this place because they’re fast, convenient and consistent. But there was a little lacking in making sure the self-serve water jug was cold. It was hot. Understandably the Texas weather gets hot. But all the more reason to know to keep it cool. Ice please :-) Nonetheless, grilled cheese plus a bowl is perfect way to end the weekend. Thank you!
Been driving by this place for months now, and finally tried it this afternoon. WOW. We had been looking for a solid sandwich shop by us for some time, and it was right under our hungry noses! The service is incredible. The sandwiches are unique and also incredible. And there is free WiFi and plenty of outdoor shaded seating. Happy to have a new default lunch spot :)
We didn't know how it works...being connected to The Wheel House. A bit confusing. But we got it straightened out. Food and drinks were great! Wish it had a more family friendly atmosphere so our 5 month old baby could hang out. Unfortunately, we had to leave at 8 pm.
Moved to the East Side almost a year ago. Somehow, I had it in my head that Austin Daily Press was a coffee shop, and I don't drink coffee, so I ignored it. Such an idiot... This place is amazing! It's also walking/biking distance from my house, and has become my new favorite go-to when I need a quick, hot bite. Awesome food, friendly staff, quaint outdoor seating.
Cuban torta was pretty good, and so were the tacos. Limited seating since it is more of a good truck feel, but worth a try. They also have really good cauliflower chorizo sandwiches that were very flavorful
Wish they still used newspaper. Veg options are limited but the Edward still holds it down. Hit em up on taco Tuesday for great value or go during hush puppy happy hour and chill across the parking lot at the Wheel.
They have delicious sandwiches! Their homemade waffle chips are great as well as the hush puppies. I also tried their ʺblue ballsʺ (fried blueberry banana bread with vanilla glaze)...yum! It was a lot of fried food in one meal but so tasty. It is outdoors only but they have ping pong and free beer on Friday with purchase!
One of the first please I have tried in Austin. The menu was unique, the food was fresh and the flavors were good. It's one of the food places near UT Austin campus and therefore you can definitely feel that vibe. This was on my first day in Austin and one of the first outdoor seating restaurants I have tried. Nice place to have a light meal.
Great sandwiches and homemade pickles! If you haven't checked this place out, at either their food trailer or their brick and mortar, you should. They make really good sandwiches with homemade pickles. Their sandwiches tend to be a bit on the pricey side, but overall, they are really good.
i got the deville torta here, it was quite juicy and flavorful, and there were a variety of textures from the chicken and the plaintains together with everything else. overall, a pretty solid sandwhich, though i would have liked a bit more fat in something like a mayonnaise binding everything together
Had previously good experiences here. The last one was a bummer thought. Came for Taco Tuesday night and they had a sign out that it includes all tacos. Excited I ordered an array of tacos and checked out. When I reviewed my receipt I realized I was charged full price for each taco. I return to the counter and inquired about it and was given an odd answer that it only covers some tacos and was not offered a refund for the difference. Great food, hope they work out their specials!
Small restaurant providing a food-truck style experience. Got some of the tortas and goat cheese queso. Food was tasty and large portions. You sit yourself at picnic table benches. Flies can be annoying. They have a fence wrapping around which is nice to block the fact you're right next to the road and other shops.
Had the burger, was just ok. Was juicy but lacked the crispy edge I hope for in a smash burger. Pickle and onions were good but overbearing flavor of a slaw almost. Chips didn't have much seasoning, seasonal fresca wasn't great either. Staff was friendly. I would try different items, the menu looks good and quality of ingredients were as well.
It's strictly outside and had to order online. The jalapeno hush puppies were delicious but I got a Deville bowl and the chicken was very, very dry.
ADP has always been 5 stars in my book and I’m sorry that I’m only coming here now to leave a review, after I’ve had some subpar experiences. I have been getting food from the MLK location for 6+ years. Everything has always been consistently delicious, without fail. Unfortunately, the last few times I’ve gone (in the last month or two) the food has been off. Today one of my two hush puppies had raw batter in the middle (strangely, the other one was prefect and fluffy all the way through). Also, my Lucy taco was super dry, the meat a bit tough, and it was just generally lacking the punch of flavor that it usually has. The Lucy taco is usually tender, bursting with flavor and and oozing delicious sauce. There was so little sauce today that I had to pull it apart to see if there was any at all. The last time I ordered the Edward taco it was also extremely bland. I couldn’t identify what was missing, but it just didn’t taste as delicious as normal. I hate to complain, but I’m afraid one of my favorite places is going downhill and I’m hoping this review will get someone’s attention, before things go too far south.
firstly, perhaps i have caught the kitchen on a rare bad day and if so i will redact the following statement, and nor do i like to complain. i hope no one takes the personally. the staff was very kind and friendly. it is a nice outdoor space to hang out in. i noticed another customer using a laptop. i was informed it was taco tuesday. i ordered 2 tacos for the special and i ordered the beef tacos as i do not eat pork. sounded really good on menu. interesting presentation. my main problem is that the beef, the meat, the protein. it was shockingly dry. difficult to chew and swallow. and a disturbing light gray color. i ate everything because i appreciate most anything edible. i am sorry to have to write this review. i am an austin native and i like to try and familiarize myself with local spots. i'll give it another shot sometime and hopefully my experience changes. sorry! EDIT: i have been informed it was not beef as they do not serve beef. i must have misread the menu which is my bad and now i must repent for the haram action. but since it was pork that just raises more questions for me as i really thought it was beef. thank you owner for the response please dont be mad at me
Great food. Well balanced toppings. The lemongrass cooked pulled pork was delicious. Also the cauliflower steak sandwich excellent. My vegetarian colleague was not very impressed with his burger. I forget the name of the other vegetarian burger option. The Brussel sprouts and jalapeño puppies/ poppers were fabulous. Really a weird ordering format and payment set up. Not a fan. Would have given a 3.5 bit the hit or miss vegetarian dishes and the order format brought it down. Plus, us Austinites know you'll be sweating you rear end off at those picnic tables in another month or so. I'd say take put all the way on that unless you don't mind the heat outside.
Had the cauliflower chorizo torta there a couple of months ago and it was terrible. The photo and description looked good but it was bland and mushy. Maybe their sandwiches with meat are better... don't know but that was extremely disappointing. Couldn't even finish it.
Good value, mid quality ingredients, food looked put together well. Tacos were definitely dry, slightly over cooked meats but still tasty and cashier wasn't rude but very neutral even after tipping before ever getting food(not common for me) I smiled and said thank you and was only looked at with this blank stare & straight face. No thank you, no your welcome nothing, just this blank stare ... maybe smoked a lil too much on break, mouth full of food, losing his hearing or etiquette ?!? Otherwise still good food. 3 stars as outdoor seating is hot with no misters or decent fans for most seating.
Based on the reviews I was prepared to be excited. Food was just OK. Bread for the torta had the texture of a hamburger bun. The only QR code ordering thing is weird…overhyped but fine food. Won’t go out of my way to go here again.
Went on a Thursday night. We found parking in the lot (wahoo!) and the outdoor dining area is pretty nice—we sat under a fan to keep cool in the humid evening. I got a special BLT and wife got the DeVille. BLT was fine, but wouldn't order again; DeVille was under seasoned. Love to support a local business (just down the street!) but nothing special to bring me back.
This place is good if you come on the right day; but they are inconsistent. The first time I went it was delicious! The second time, my steak was barely warm. The hush puppies were burnt to a crisp. I said I didn’t want them and they remade them. The second batch they were burnt on the outside and undercooked on the inside. Clearly the grease was up too high. Not sure I’ll come again…..
Kind of disappointed for my first try here. One of the sandwiches I ordered was the Barbacoa cauliflower and they put chicken on it with all of the other toppings- beans and the guacamole. Not cool for a vegetarian. Not sure if they ran out or were in a hurry.. either way I won’t be ordering from here again.
Pretty average to mediocre food over all. Key things to consider: 1. everything was over fried/greasy. When food is this greasy, no ingredient can shine through and the also food becomes too heavy to finish. 2. For vegetarians: Same item re-packaged three ways: the edamame fried patty in all different forms--but again greasy and tasteless 3. Value/taste/price ratio off: way too expensive for foodservice store type food. Don't think I would come back given all the other options in ATX
Our company ordered catering from this place because I raved about the fact that I used to love their food years ago. The hush puppies were delicious. Our tortas on the other hand were underwhelming and had no flavor. I would like to see more options given when ordering catering and the last time I visited this place was when they were located on Cesar Chavez (2020). Please consider brining back the breaded shrimp -called Dewey
Edited: ADP has now made itself inaccessible by raising prices. $14 for a single sandwich? I’m going to miss their food because I simply cant afford it now. Original: This is one place I will go out of my way for. Their food is really fancy comparatively and kind of pricey but it doesn't disappoint. If you're looking for something different, this could be a good place to start!
Twice during the last 6 weeks the estimated online order time on Toast has been 10-15 minutes. You'll get a text saying your food is ready and then show up to pick up your food and they'll be a large group of people waiting on food that isn't ready yet. Tonight there were at least 5 of us waiting and there is only one poor employee working. The restaurant clearly needs to hire more staff or adjust their estimated wait times to be accurate. It's inconsiderate of other people's time to make us wait for food that is supposedly ready, and unfair to restaurant employees to be overworked and have to deal with poor staffing management. This will be the last time I order from ADP when I am on a time crunch and need food fast. They are simply unreliable.
I’d like to make a complaint about an employee I encountered yesterday evening (7/11/23) around 8pm. I approached the service window and before saying anything was told in a disgruntled tone that he was “the only person there” and asked if I wanted “to come inside to help.” It seemed as though a patron ahead of me was awkwardly standing inside with him. The patron received his order and left, then I was alone with the employee. He asked me for the name on my order again and asked “why I looked scared” and again implied that I “should come inside and see that he was alone.” I felt very uncomfortable. He mumbled a sarcastic remark and walked off to prepare my food. I didn’t mind a longer wait time for my order, but everything he said to me made it seem like I was inconveniencing him. As he handed me my togo bag, I told him that his behavior towards me rubbed me the wrong way. He attempted to smooth things over with me and commented on my appearance. I told him I also work in the service industry and understood that he was busy, but the way he spoke to me was unprofessional, and he asked, “Do you want everything for free or something?” I did not, I had already paid online, but if I hadn’t I would not have gone through with my order based on our exchange. I told him I order from y’all a lot and didn’t appreciate being talked to like that. He looked at my name on the order, repeated it to me, and angrily told me to never come back again.
Been going to ADP for about 5 years. Never again. Unfortunately it’s a shadow of its former self. Not the least of the problems are the disgusting kitchen you can see through the kitchen (serious health code issues) and the reaaaallly bad staff. I don’t mean rude, I mean incompetent. I’ve got to assume they just don’t pay enough money for the staff to not be utterly stoned 24/7. I don’t mean the friendly kind of high, I wouldn’t begrudge someone a joint. I mean drooling and stupefied because of how high you are.
